Everyone should have updated their database by now, so we'll say goodbye to Packers Playground in the hopes that this location doesn't got without a cache for too long.
From all reports, this cache has gone missing again.
That's 3rd time it's been replaced, so I'll archive this cache in a week or so (to allow PQ's to be updated).
That should allow this great park to be reused for another caching experience.

Was around in Grange Rd, so tried to find my first cache in Aus, but did not find it. Pretty sure I got to the right spot Need some help from you then I would definitely retry. Thx.
Enjoyable little trek around Packer Park, so thanks to Caughtatwork for that, but unfortunately we were unable to find the cache. I'm pretty convinced that we were in the correct spot (and we had a good root around the surrounding area), so I think the cache has been nicked. I've got a travel bug burning a hole in my pocket too...
This is the first DNF I've logged, but I don't think I'll get back for another search for a while. I'm pretty sure I had the right place and the clue confirmed it, but no luck finding the cache. Perhaps I just needed to think a bit more laterally, but it could be missing too I guess? Anyway - nice park thanks caughtatwork.
Kids and I found it, their 1st my 3rd, bit tricky at first but the kids very excited when found.
Took - squishy lizard and bounce ball
Left - Pokemon figure, soldier, Lego warrior figure
signed the log.
Thanks alot.

Visited on Sunday with Jungle Jim on crutches, grandson Spud and Old Peg Mother/Gran]. Great cache oooh so loaded. couldn't fit any more in. Spud really wanted a small pink ball so thanks for the gift for a 2 year old. Beware muggles. the dog chasing & catching ball display was fantastic. Distracted the muggles. well hidden Thanks for the great cache.

Thanks Caughtatwork for a fun walk in the park or two...everyone taking their dogs for a run tonight. That is one full cache, it's a challenge to get it all to fit back in!

Thank you to the people who logged a DNF.
A drive by check this morning revealed that the cache has indeed gone missing, so on the off chance that it had, I took a long a replacement.
It's all good to go again.

Grrr, I can't find anything lately
Also in the noob category. Easy to get to the silver spire but then.... not sure how far to go with the search....but nothing obvious...

Couldn't find this after 5-10 min searching. I know I had the right spot after getting back and reading the encrypted clue. There was a nearby discarded container that I thought might've been the muggled cache.. Then again I'm a noob and just might've missed it [:o)]
Without any problems although I was counting the wrong concrete blocks at first! Ants have taken up residence at the cache but they are not a problem either. TNLN Thanks Caughtatwork for a well-constructed hunt.
Attempted this one in Feb,but couldnt find so had another crack today.Again couldnt find ,then realised somethings wrong, just start again. This time ended up on right object ,how could i be another 50 m on each time !From there it was clear sailing.Found the cache at 4.20pm,tnln and thanks to a great park we have ventured to before,.Many thanks to caughtatwork.
This was a great cache and our most favourite of the day! Well done. We stuffed this up initially and must have looked really stupid looking around the park bench - but funnily enough we found a sheriff's badge there last week. But I didn't have the clue sheet with me...since then I installed GPXSonar, subscribed as a premium member to Geocaching.com and now have everything at my fingertips on my trusty iPAQ (hence the PAQ in BackPAQer
Got near the GZ and there were kids all over the site...I thought if it's in there they'd find it...but they cleared off once one kid had his arm twisted badly by another and they all went running back to their parents in howls of tears and finger pointing and "but he started it..." leaving us alone to have a good search. It is a tough one to spot indeed. Thanks for this cache...we've spent many hours in this park as muggles.

Was a great deal of fun deciphering this puzzle but in the end my friend, AliBelly, and I could not find it. We arrived too late, it was getting dark and it was AliBelly's very first time going geocaching. I am going to ship a GPS to her from the US so she can find this pesky little hide. Found the item mentioned in the hint but no luck finding the cache. We had so much fun though!! Thanks for the treat of the cute little park.
Tried to find this as my FIRST geocache with my friend, FUNSKI LORI from America with no success!! Will try again soon with my OWN GPS! AliBelly
What a great playground. Found the hide with no problem. We then gave the info to some friends who live in the area who don't have a GPS but still could find this one. Thanks.

This was the 16th of 17 for me today, and a good one to do on the way home. It's a well thought out cache - just cryptic enough to get you thinking "What the hell's he on about?" and then the penny drops and you think "Ah, very clever - and aren't I clever too for working it out ".
Suffice to say, I found the cache fairly easily, and I thought the park was top shelf too .
TNLN
Many thanks Caughtatwork

Found on 30/01/06 @ 1650 AEDT. This cache had been on my radar since its inception, but for some reason had remained un-attempted every time I was in the general area (not so today ). Once I arrived, I put the GPSr away and followed the instructions, leading to a quick and easy find

Hi Caughatwork again.
This was Oenze and my last find for today. Packer wont be playing here any more so we did instead. Went through the motions and ended up at a spot where we were instucted to turn left and look for a tower thingy. What bloomin tower thingy??? Went through it all again just to make sure we'd made no mistake still no bloomin tower. Then the penny dropped, we found the cache made a swap of some sort (Oenze will remember) and on our way back home to a home cooked meal after out hard day at the office!!!
Thanks again for the entertainment.

couper 1 Found easily after following all the clues.Enjoyed the surroundings.Drummers were practising in the BBQ area.Enjoyable background sounds thanks to them.Very nice area. Thanks for hunt.TNLN.
Found by Jungle Jim and his son 'Spud'. Now I wish they had parks that cool when I was a kid. Followed the clues and that led us straight for the cache. Rubix the cube TB was picked up, and something was left! I'll work out what soon...
This cache was found during my three week end-of-2005 visit to New Zealand plus a short stopover in Melbourne. Had a great time checking out this awesome country plus meeting a few rellies which are new on the scene. Time ran out on me unfortunately but hope to come back to this awesome country soon…
Thanks for the cache

Final cache of 13 for the day. After logging a DNF previously due to the cache being muggled. I knew exactly where it was going to be. Left GPS in car and wandered down to the location in the dark. TNLN. Thanks for bringing the cache back online again.
Found by sbalogh53 at 10:15 on 10/10/2005.
Much easier find this time, and in the place I looked last time. Thanks for replacing the cache, Caughtatwork.
Watch out for the muggles. There are many of them and they tend to sneak up on you when you least expect it.
Took: Sinkers
Put: Rubber
Released "Rubix the Cube" TB

A new box in the same place sees this cache being reactivated. Thanks to the DNF for logging the DNF. Without this we wouldn't have known something was astray.

Found the corret silver spire. Found lots of Robmc's annoyed ants. Did not see the cache anywhere in the vicinity. Oh well.

Sigh. I'll get there this weekend and check it out. It's probably gone and I'll take a spare to replace if it is.
There was pretty much a complete absence of muggle as the weather was becoming a real shocker. did all the clues located what I thought was the spot but was unable to locate cache. Mmmm could be in the wrong spot.
FOund @ 1030.
I ran around for a bit looking for concrete blocks, before I realized what I was looking for. Easy find once that was worked out. TNLN. Thanks caughtatwork.

Found 14:50, as we arrived we noticed the Police helicopter circling low nearby, and as we progressed toward GZ, it got closer and closer, and it seemed that a Police dragnet was closing in on Biggles Bear but no as the Police presence in the park swelled (including dog squad) Biggles Bear was easily able to complete the cache and slip away.
TNLN, thanks caughtatwork.

Nice spider's web. I saw some small muggles struggling on it, but they eventually made it to the center. Found the silver structure easily, but getting to it without being spotted was another thing. Talk about muggle city! Eventually got there and annoyed the ants who had made their home right on top of the cache.
Took: Finger Monster, Left: Lizard.
Thanks, Robmc.

My first multi-cache and I took the long way around on a very cold and windy day with 4 kids under 5 in tow (madness, I know). Had nearly given up and had all the kids packed in the car because a large group of muggles arrived for a photo shoot at exactly the same time we figured out where GZ was! By the time my buddy and I had everyone loaded in the car, the muggles were departing, so there was just enough time for me to make a mad dash to GZ to make the swap. Thanks for a great day!
Found at 8.30PM.
Oh boy oh boy, I should have really done this one in the day time, The night darkness made this cache a little harder, and the torch I had on me started to go dead so we relied on the much smaller torch, I missed the structure and ended up wondering where I went wrong and had to go back and start from square 1. The Silver Spire also had me guessing, and mum who loves her gardening didn't wake up to its real meaning. About to give up i looked at the clue and found the cache only minutes later, Thanks for the cache from M.B and L.B..

It took me a couple of minutes to work out what a concrete block was, but once I had it was all plain sailing from there. Although I must admit I did need to decrypt the VERY long clue by hand, at the cache location. It was well hidden.
In a park such as this you would expect plenty of activity and sure enough 4pm seemed to be the climax of it - when I was there. Luckily the vocal kids and walkers mainly congregated around the play equipment.
Swapped a die (dice) out for a large marble.
Thanks for an enjoyable cache with a difference.

After another nearby miss, I thought I had to finish the day on a high with a "hit" (hopefully) on this hit-and-miss trip home. I proceeded to GZ, did the sums and tried to figure out what I had to do (it was a long weekend, after all ). Eventually, the penny dropped and not long after, the cache was in hand at 16:30.
What a sensational park. TNLNSL and Milko TB had her last cache visit for the day but decided to trek north in a couple of days.
Thanks caughtatwork.

This was our last cache for the day and we really enjoyed this one. We quickly gathered the answers we required and started counting. Up until now everything was easy, we must have been having a dumb day as we thought that east was in completely the wrong direction. Once we sorted that out the cache was quickly in hand.

Found at 5:40pm. One final cache right on dusk, before heading home for the evening. The playground was in full use even at this time of the night. We enjoyed the offset clues. Thanks Caughtatwork from D & S B-A. Took nothing, left nothing.
Found at 4pm. What a great park. It seems to have everything, including lots of muggles. Collected the clues and made our way to the silver spire, where the cache was quickly in hand and the log made. Getting it back looked like it could be a problem with lots of people walking the nearby path and playing footy on the grass. However, it wasn't long before an opportunity was available and the cache was safely returned to its hiding place.

left cat & dinosaur
thanks to caught@work for bringing us to this park.

This one came up on the radar on my way back from ST Kilda caching trip (stats). I was not going to do it but after checking my paper work and seeing the owner was You I just had to do it. I thought this was a multi but no counting was done and I did it in the fading lite. Found at 17:50. this was a great looking park, what i could see in the dark and that loo was just to much for a country boy like me.
I think that tree is actually a blue gum, ile look it up and let you know. A graet cache, thanks mate. 12 for the afternoon.

Quick dash out to get a little chicken and take him on a trip....
Plenty of people about as a footy match was one, but since they were all watching that, not me, wasn't too hard. Found the cache pretty easily, thanks to the great directions given.
Took Funky Chicken Travel bug, and a little duck, left some spiderman cards (I think, terrible memory)

Thanks Caughtatwork for a very nice park, and our youngest Luke believes this park has the best play equipment of all parks especially the spider web.

Facitman, E-facit and S-Facit decided this morning to go for bike ride. Found out that there was a cache at Packer's Park and decided to bike there.
Stopped at Velodrome and then Playground where we found a birthday party in the midst. Worked out our first clue to waypoint. Biked the next part.
After waiting for boys to get away from the final waypoint e and s-facit scrambled to find it but were not sucessful until Facitman let the cat out of the bag.
Unfortunately Facitman forgot the swaps so could not swap any thing. After herding a little boy away we finally got the cache back in place.
Thanks caughtatwork for the wonderful excursion!!!!!

Another good cache close to where I work so it meant that I could get out at lunch time to go for a stroll. Great park and of coarse lots of little muggles with their mums due to school holidays. Couldn't find any concrete blocks at first and then it dawned on me what I should be looking for. Then it was fairly straight forward to the cache. Thanks caught@work for a nice lunch time diversion. tn/ln
I visited the cache site this morning on my way out. I've been here before for a Locationless cache, but did not explore the area around the velodrome. It is a lovely park, and I imagine kids would love the playground. I followed the directions and found the cache immediately. I enjoyed the novel concept of a GPS-free cache. No swap was made.
Thanks, caughtatwork, for an enjoyable stoll on a perfect autumn day, and for the cache as well (of course)!

Found by Mary & David at 1505. We'd been checking a couple of Dash waypoints earlier, but on the way to this cache, our GPSr decided to misbehave. Not to worry - we parked right in front of what turned out to be the posted coordinates. With lovely sunshine to enjoy, everyone and their kids seemed to be there. Following the clues from there was quite simple, and after a short stroll around the lovely little park, we had the cache. Took 1939 badge, left photo frame. Also took TB 'Bee 'N Gees Butternut'. Our thanks to Caughtatwork.
VERY EASY FIND GPS NOT REALY REQUIRED . MOM TOOK THE KIDS FOR A NICE LITTLE WALK . ALSO A GOOD PLAYGROUND . TOOK COIN PUT IN TOY
Betean by caughtatwork and BT... (can't remember all those numbers) Was planning to hide a cache here as I was working here today for the Glen Eira City Council but instead I had a cache to look for. BT... was 30minutes ahead of me! I was busy setting up while he was caching.
Loved the spiders web, oh to be a kid again.
Took nothing but my friends who were with me from Korea and Japan left a Korean and a Japanese coin.
Thanks caughtatwork.

After the rain cleared we went for a ride to "Froggy Park". It was hard going with the strong wind. A local festival was setting up so we quickly located the cache. A nice easy find.
Took water bomb.
Left dice, battery and glitter glue.
Also swapped TBs

A new cache just 3.5km from home. Muzza languishing at work. No need to hurry then. Take a leisurely trip to Carrum to log "Beach Cam". Have lunch. Then toddle up there.
I discarded the GPSr after confirming I was at WP1. I counted the button seats, did the maths, and set off. I got half way around the oval without seeing a single concrete block! Hmmmmm. Started walking back to the bench for a reassessment, and realised that the concrete blocks are segments in the footpath! Doh! [B)] After that it was a soda. Secured the FTF at 1400.
There was a team of workmen laying a concrete gutter around the oval fence with some sort of automatic device, so I spent five minutes watching them before heading home. Thanks to C@W for a clever cache that needs no technology (not even for WP1). There is a cacher in the US (edscott) that has found almost 500 caches, has hidden 13, and doesn't use a GPSr!

Curse you DAK for taunting me when at work, helpless and unable to cache during the daylight hours! But at least I beat you to the Velodrome locationless cache!
caughtatwork beat me to it. I was organising a cache for this park. The kids call it froggy park.
