Combined DNF/NM log.
After the evening's event, Baktrak and I decided to take on this adventure, having been told plenty of clues about where to look, but not really expecting a find due to all of the DNFs. There was a considerable walk from Panthers around the local streets until we found the ideal way in. I guessed a likely spot to jump into the drain, only to find that the "sand" I thought my foot was going to land on was mud. Having put the previous shoe into slime that also looked clear. Baktrak of course spots the ladder and comes in the easy way. d'oh!
Following the tunnel after this was easy with the water reduced to a thin stream that could easily be stepped over or jumped. We made it to the features that we had been told about (and also mentioned in recent logs), gave a good search of the rocks, but nothing there. A photo shared the next day with a past finder confirms we were at the right place, so the cache is confirmed as gone, most likely muggled. Please replace.
We popped out and had a look for "Motor Corner" next.

We new there was a good chance of not finding this but KRS and I though it would be a bit of fun to try after the GCNSW dinner tonight. Armed with intel from a previous finder we headed off and did a full exploration of the netherworld. KRS was in his element. We found the spot that fitted every description and which even has some bits of an old pen, but no cache did we find. Thanks for the fun anyway.
# **** # ***Accompanies ALL7, took us long searched, no cache but good spot on place...DNF for us... *** #*** #
Found the yellow ladder found the arch and found the rocks but didn't find the cache.
Found the arch, found the rocks, did not find the cache. Though we did find a pen lid where we thought the cache should be. We searched for 20 minutes but no luck. Thinking it's probably not there... We did see loads of bats chillin though
Out and about caching with Tassie Trekkers as we head to Stanthorpe for the Qld Mega. A great cache. Bombarded by bats. Thanks for showing us the tunnel. Deserves a favourite, TFTC
Today we explored Bathurst and surrounds with Whitewebbs heading towards Stanthorpe for the Mega using geocaching as a guide.
We love the challenge to explore a different cache! We armed ourselves with torches, took the GPs distance reading and ventured the required steps to GZ. Found it in its hidey hole and ventured back out only to be met with a lot of bats flying pass. Found a few hanging from the cceiling having their daily snooze. What a top cache, adding to our favourites.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

I was awake at 5:30am so what better time to rise grab my torch and descend under the streets of Bathurst for some urban caving/caching. I had read pervious logs over the years and always had this on my must do list, and I was not disappointed. Scaling the gate at the suggested entry point, and finding the ladder I was confronted by about 10 meters of ankle deep water, and was glad it wasn't winter. After sloshing through the water the rest of the journey was easy keeping close to the walls. There was a few bats flying around, one passed very close over my head. I arrived at GZ and quickly located the cache, before going around the bend and exploring a little further. Once I emerged the sun was just starting to rise as I walked back to the motel. This rates up there with Dark Side Of The Moon and 1905. Definitely a good one for anyone visiting Bathurst, just remember to bring some old shoes. Great cache now to get ready for breakfast, thanks.

On our trip trough Australia with the hole family we looked also for some caches. They often showed us places we would never had discovered. Thanks a lot to the all the people who care about this lovely hobby .
Cool tunnel .
I like these sort of caches, even in this hot weather.

In Bathurst for a few days on holidays, went for a bike ride today left at 9:45am and returned at 7:00pm :O Found 20 caches along the way! Great community out here.
WOW!!!! This is one of my all time favourite geocaches! Had such a good experience, went in with only the dull torch on my phone but managed to just see beneath my feet. Water was running but only the VERY start I got my feet slightly wet, the rest was dry if I stuck to the edge. Found the cache easily enough by following the hint
A favourite point has been added, great to see a cache like this that hasn't even needed a single maintenance for 10 years!

As it was 6pm, parked in the local business on the corner and proceeded with GeoBrad to jump the gate and make our way into the tunnel. Both of us donned LED headlamps which made life easy, not much flowing water today but suggestion of rain, we both said lets give this a try before we find out how much flowing water could pass under the green plot.
Staying close to the tunnels walls to avoid slipping over in our thongs and as the hint suggested had CIH quickly., fav point.
Great experience of caving after our day spent at Abercrombie earlier today.

Loved it. Looked up a good favorite as had time for maybe one cache in Bathurst. Geohusband and I grabbed the torches and wandered in, looking like we were meant to be there. We both paced from the entrance and came bang on the cache. Thunder growling while going in, but the retrieve was quick and easy. Geohusband LOVES tunnels, and later was distracted by some of Bathurst's old rubbish a little downstream. Lightning now, and he's still scratching in the dirt an hour later.... Thanks for the cache, and a great way to spend a hot evening.
Second find evar ! This cache was very exciting in many ways. It also took me back to my childhood exploring tunnels and old buildings etc. TFTAdventure nd trip down memory lane 'Sc00t'
After spending the weekend in caving gear for a themed Scout camp at the nearby forestry, DKMacca and I decided we were perfectly dressed to tackle this cache. It was a bit wet, but really interesting. The arch must be an original old bridge, with an exposed creek running below. It's great to do something a bit out of the ordinary, and this cache ticked all the boxes. Thanks
Found this Cache with "Socks" after camping at Macquarie Woods for the weekend. Socks had told me about this Tunnel cache and it was decided to leave our overalls and caving gear on coming back from the camp. We took in the hint and kept an eye out for the description of the location of the cache but must have missed something on the way through as we had walked all the way to the other end of the tunnel. Socks suggested that we search both sides on the way back down and she spotted the cache in its hidy spot. Signed log and continued on our way. Thanks ScOOt for the challenging Cache.

We disturbed a lot of bats (or swallows???). Ended up going too far as well before checking the hint and going back find the arch. Left a swap. Thanks for the cache!
Woohoo! This is my first find. Thank you to the Doctor on triple J and Paul Dempsey for enlightening me about Geocaching. An awesome spontaneous adventure!
This was an amazing adventure. After palming off second thoughts i was off. Getting to the light at the end of the tunnel lead me to believe i walked straight past it. A quick look at the hint lead me back into the tunnel and straight to the cache. My favourite so far.
Enjoyed this one as one of the days best caches.
We overshot the mark by 100m and soon found our way back.
It was about 5 degrees cooler in there as well, which we enjoyed.
Many thanks to Sc00t and we are giving this a favourite tick.

Found this purely by luck on the weekend. I have printed a log page and added it to the cache with a brief story about my find. I have taken pictures of the containers location (as that was the original reason for been down there in the first place) but have not posted to any social sites. Look forward to placing my own Geocache soon.
Thanks Sc00t
Thanks Sc00t
One of my favourite Bathurst caches done today. Thankfully the track was relatively dry, enabling a quick find.
Good stuff Sc00t, thanks for the cache.

I was so keen to do this one, I even brought my rubber boots with me in anticipation. Of course the rest of the group didn't want to be seen with me in those boots (see photo). Sol de Lune had done this before so knew where to park, and we entered the tunnel in a very short time. Great fun thanks Sc00t - I have completed the pair after missing this one on my last visit.
Found with The Cashman and The Don.
In the area for the week.

There was a small amount of water running today but you were able to walk along the side to get to the cache.

Didn't risk walking down the tunnel with all of the water in it... perhaps we can try again when it is dry.
Last cache before dinner. Made the dash down out of site, then into the tunnel. There really isn't too many places you can hide a cache, so it was just a matter of going along and checking each possible option when I came across them. Found the cache and signed the log. Thanks!
Did this one with the Mr Router today and boy oh boy it was hot and muggy in the tunnel today.
We contemplated going on for the Lighter Side but that might have to wait for a cooler day.

Would have been a bit scary on my own but lots of fun with a friend.
Got a bit dirtier than we needed to. The bats were freaky.

Wooh this was an awesome cache!!!
First. GPS couldn't get a reception underground so we had to step out the distance to the cache.
Second. CACHE was small so hard to find and could fit in HUNDREDS of tiny spots so had to be very careful.
Third. BATS, The bats were out and swooping us, it was awesome.
Fourth. IT was wet and slimy, I didn't quite know where the cache was because we stepped out the distance so when we got to a big wet pipe i climbed in. Wrecked all my clothes and didn't find it but it was still cool.
Five. WE found it!
Thanks for the cache it was mad.

Must replace those batteries!
Still, decided to press on, and the cache soon presented itself... Wonder if I should have carried on to the lighter side...

did the usual thing, walked past it, then back to it. think its easier to find on the way back. TNSL, TFTC.
Took us a while to find this one with mattgemericjack because we initially walked twice as far as we needed to. Came up to surface at some other place, checked coords, realised our mistake and down we went again for a relatively easy find. TFTC
Enjoyed doing this one, we may have been the first to experience muggles whilst doing this cache, however I think they were more surprised to see us then we were to see them. I am sure we were the ones looking out of place after walking too far up the tunnell and being spotted ankle deep in slimy green water looking for crocodiles !!!!!
This was one of the highlights of the trip! Did this on our first night in Bathurst, and really enjoyed it. The hardest part was getting over to the ladder to get to the tunnel - the walk up the tunnel and finding the cache was the easy bit. Great fun and thanks for the cache. Cheers Gav [4195]
66 - Wow! This was a bit of a saga as the torch ran out of batteries so I had to go in search of some new ones before I could get going. But thoroughly enjoyable once i had that sorted. TFTC
Finially got around to doing this one, as had visited the site several times and each time found the water to be in full flow and unable to go for a nice stroll up and easy channel.
We to saw the dead bat hanging from the roof.
Thanks for showing us an easy under ground walk.

Well what a beauty this one turned out to be, one of the most memorable from our weekend 24hr event. I'm so glad we made an effort to knock this one over. Loved the Bats!!!!
What a "Bottler" this one turned out to be.
We put off doing this earlier as we didn't want to get icky at the start of our adventufre.
Turned out to be a most pleasant stroll and find (apart from the bats playing chicken with my head lamp that is)
Awesome cache, thanks for it.

Found at 1120. Didn't know quite what to expected with this one, but being a Sunday morning, there was no one around, so access was easy, as too the walk to GZ. What surprised me the most was the amount of bats in the tunnel. They were all huddled together on the roof, until the light shone on them and then they were off. So, with a multitude of bats whizzing by my head, the cache was found and signed, and soon left before I lost an eye of something.
Thanks for the fun experience.

Found on the Bathurst Invasion weekend. Having done Tunnel of Terror in Canberra this one was on my must do list. Ju missed doing Tunnel of Terror and she too was looking forward to this one.

My first trip to Bathurst for 34 years – came up through Booroowa and Cowra and headed home via Oberon and Goulburn. Although with that many caches, my memory has blurred, I have come away with a great appreciation of the countryside and seen more of the towns than if I was doing my normal touristy thing. I have seen historic locations, scenic locations, fun locations, tricky micros, easy micros, evil micros – fantastic.
Thanks Sc00t for an absolutely wonderful experience. There were literally hundreds of bats during the day. I kept telling CT - the arch is back there.....

Armed with enough torches to light up just about anything we ventured in. A bit of a clue from a recent finder helped reduce the search time. We really enjoyed seeing the bats, although we disturbed them a bit and set them fluttering about.
The concensus was that this was one of the top caches we did for the weekend.

Well!!!!
An adventure it was. Geodad was with the Geomums and it was time to tackle the dark tunnel (Dad 1st). Entered the tunnel with a torch with flat batteries and after 100m or so Geodad said it was time to turn and go back. On the way back 1 silly Geomum slipped on the slime and got a little bit wet. No time for laughing this one wasn't going to beat us. So after a rethink checked the GPS again and paced out our steps. This time we were on the money. And the Geomums soon had it in there hot little hands.
Thanks for the adventure and the wet feet.

yep that sure was an adveture... Thank God I was with Geobuddies. No chance that would have been done by team parf otherwise. For the record, it was not this GeoMum that took a tumble. SL Thanks for the experience.
I was the Geomum that went for the swim.
Being the adventurous type i lead the way with Team Parf in my back pocket. Team Kirkster with a torch with flat batteries lead the way. This was an adventure in itself.
This Geomum wasn't leaving without this cache in her hot little hands. After walking and walking and Kikrster and Parf wanting to turn around and go back this we did. This is where this Geomum had her swim. With Kirkster and Parf hysterical we had a rethink and on our way back up that tunnel we went. With Parf still in my back pocket and by this stage the only light she had was a ciggy lighter Parf was the one that actually managed to find GZ.
Thanks for the wet feet, legs and elbows.

#190. At just after 2am and not much water the feet were kept dry and the cache found easy. Not as far up as i thought it would be. Went for a trip to the top end of the tunnel while i was there.
Excellent fun!!! after we went one arch to far (not sure if it was just a huge misadventure or our insistence to discover the rest of the tunnel) we found our little friend easily on the way home again
Lol, what a adventure!!! We didnt even get our feet wet although it was very slippery at some points. Walked too far and promptly did a U-turn, damn i guess we didnt have to walk past that prickly bush! lol

Officially wimps. We came to a point where the water was banked up and a carcass of some description was included free of charge. Decided to attempt on next trip.
I avoided finding this cache on my last Bathurst visit [:o]
And I so far had avoided finding this cache on this visit
But at 3 in the afternoon and nothing on telly, I had to have another look, just out of curiosity
Curiosity killed the cat of course and only 10metres along the ditch I found that to be true [:o]
Not to worry, I've seen worse on the roadside
After the large tumbleweed blockage I found myself heading down a surprisingly clean an dry tunnel into the underworld of Bathurst
With fading light the spookiness became apparent all around. In the torch light every bit of grafitti seemed to leap out at me from the walls [:o]
Even the echos of my footsteps gave me the shivers.
Finally after an eternity I found GZ. The cache was mine
I could scuttle back up the drainpipe to the light at the end of the tunnel.
To sum up this cache.... That was a HOOT!! [^]

Long, dark, wet & scary eh? Hmmm - more on that later.
Off I went, nice DRY little walk, had cache quickly, then an easy walk out again, Thanks Sc00T. Excellent cache, like it.
There's one in Canberra, that is 500metres into one of these, and the pipe is only 2metre diameter, I rode my MTB in that one with lights on, Cooeeeeee.

Found it yeah...this was a great adventure cache...kids loved it a little bit spooked but all the same enjoyed it...clue made it easy thanks otherwise would have missed it. Wanted to go a little bit further to see bats but kids decided that was WAY to spooky lol.
SL and put in extra piece of paper didn't have small enough pencil otherwise would have left that to. So next visitor bring own pen/pencil to sign log or to leave please.

Clue made it easy. Walked a little further and discovered a colony of bats, huddled together fast asleep.
Never though there'd be a place like this in Bathurst. Great fun.

Appears to have been muggled. There was another entry in a small M&M container dated today and I signed below it. The entry stated that it had been muggled and that they would log it as such.
I guess we can leave the cache as active, but call it a Micro? Oh can the next visitor put a few sheets of paper in it to sign as there appeared to be a small scrap only

Horrorking beat me to it.
Found the cache at around 2pm today. Empty, open and not quite where it should have been. Put it back in it's little hidy hole. Only had the printout on us so ripped the corner off for now.

Thanks for the feedback about the cache. I will give it some love next time i am in Bathurst.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Came well prepared for this one! Particularly enjoyed reaching the waypoint and then realising there was a different entry.
Super hide, a lot of fun finding it!

Been wanting to do this one for a while. Signal a bit weak (he he he) but still found easily. Took Geomonkey lanyard, left SES patch.
