As was the case for many others recently we had no luck here. I wonder how it could be an easy find in this location without being muggled and also if the track has changed since being hidden. From the logs I am not planning to look for this one again soon. But it was a nice wander. Thanks for the walk.
Well we searched & searched but no luck i think a cache check up may be in order but it was a great day with a nice view off the beach thanks...
We came and had a quick look, but I lost interest very quickly after reading all the previous logs.
Thanks
Thanks
found it long time back

Searched EVERYWHERE, except where it was obviously. With 6 of us looking it must be either well hidden or MIA.
Thanks for the walk anyway.

Looked for this yesterday evening - no joy. We ran out of daylight but not before a fair search attempt
Quite a lot of the bitou bush (not sure of the spelling but sure that it is an introduced and classified pest/weed) has been cut down at and about GZ. The cache may have been taken, covered or destroyed in the process?. It looks as though this would have happened since last logged visit. If relocation is required then suggest a spot where native vegetation re-establishment is complete. The native plants did not appear to have bee touched - as would be expected of a Landcare group or similar.

Found at 0720. the last beach walk I did in Tassie was 12kms. This one a lot more appealing. A nice walk to GZ on a warm day.

Was having a shindig with the blokes and decided to go hunting; oh and canoeing. It really was a bit eww. About 4 tries and a bazillion scratches to the legs later, yours truly made the find with lireh and hoschke.
Sorry, but we found it a bit dissappointing. The old log was soaked, as were the contents, but belabb had put a new log and watertight bag in. Good job buddy.

came to have a squiz with hoschke118 but couldn't find anywhere.
the whole place looks like it's been affected by rain, erosion and people, so are we 100% sure its still there?

Spemt some time looking for this one to no avail. Major works have occurred right beside gz although I note that it was found a few days ago.
The area around this cache seems to have been closed off for a while, probably to ease erosion. You can still get in, but you have to ignore some fairly obvious signs. Maybe the cache should be taken offline for a while?
nice location. took a while to find but we kept going past it without realising! found it in the end though:).

What can I say? The day was absolutely beautiful, the beach was lovely, the surf was pumping, some of the surfers were gorgeous, the cache was easily found, the contents are a little damp and many of the swaps are rusty. A fun time had by all. TNLN, TFTC

Easy find with a great view, couldn't stay long, storm approaching and getting eaten alive by sand flys. Need a better cache container, this is letting water in, log book OK as it's in a resealable bag.

Well, a bit easier when you have the right co-ordinates. Good quick find but a really pleasant walk with good views. The cache is still a bit soggy and the writing instruments may need replacing/ sharpening.
An interesting attempt without success. A group of us went looking, split up and I'm not sure I ended up with a couple of others and a dodgy waypoint- retreated through much scrub on darkness and back to the car.
Rode my bike along the bike track with low gps batteries and didnt see the path so we bush bashed for about 15 minutes and eventually found GZ. The bag is letting in water it neads a large container badly.

We found this one farily easily. Nice different container although it didn't protect the old log. Was sighning when pen ran out. The pencil there was blunt so i had to scrape away the outside of the pencil to get the lead.

Rumplestiltskins 1, 2 & 3 found this one on a beautiful sunny August day. Not too hard at all (other than the silly track we took in) and a nice spot that was hitherto-unvisited by any of us nasty gnomes.
We also replaced the larger ziplock bag that houses the log books with a new one.
R3 took mini skateboard left white truck.

Found A Bit Eww just on dark today. The new log book is still in good condition but the old one is wet yet still legible and some of the contents were wet.
New snap lock bags needed. I will start to carry these from now on.
The information sheet needs to be replaced as it is too far gone to read.
Great spot wear long pants to avoid the scratches and take in the view.

We returned today and discovered that the set of co ords we used last time were 200 m off. but hey, we got it this time. Thanks for the awesome hide and great views. didn't expect that container tho... Contents a little wet but the replacement log was dry.

Gribbly is a big girls blouse - this was easy- even my muggle mate - only her second caching experience found it in 2 minutes flat - with initial GPS guidance from me.
The geodogs loved the surrounds - thanks for a great cache.
Took a beer opener and left a cute Christmas sheep - put jelly beans in and it will poo them out (classy!)

This was my first Geocache and it was great fun Cache was well hidden and had nothing to put in so I TNLNSL.
First cache find, if they are all as good as this I'll be doing plenty more. Nice view of the surrounds, took a few minutes at GZ to find the cache but once I found it, it was obvious. Had nothing to place at the time so TNLNSL.
got to this at lunch time today.nice walk at lunch cache was out in open from cover hid it back in brush. tnsl left key ring. thanks Dingbats
My first cache.

Took me a while to find this one - As I was late for work and the rain was starting I phoned for some info. I woke Partic up and he let me know what sort of container I was looking for and that the coords were pretty accurate. I found it within seconds of being off the phone.
Thanks Dingbats

Wet, wet, wet... Needs a big dry out. We left it out in the sun to dry out for as long as we could but we had other geocachers (or muggles) hanging around. Good hide but we were really bushed by the time we found it.

Not really that wet. The new log book in the 2nd bag keeps it nice and dry. However a different more waterproof container would be the go here.
This really is the best time of year. Not a cloud in the sky, warm temperatures and views to infinity.

This was my second attempt on this one, and found it okay, with the help of Razanda. Log is too wet to write on, so couldn't. Everything is wet. Tried to dry out as best possible, but couldn't stay too long, and muggles around. Looks like previous finders have not been folding over the top before fastening, and water just runs in. Would like to have taken TB but might not be caching for a little while. TNLN, and thanks.
Found this one after a fair bit of hunting round. While the tracks in the area are now fenced, the old back ones still go all over the place. I came here once before looking for my first cache. I never did find that one, glad to have found this one. The cache is still very wet. I managed to sign the log book, but it needs a serious airing out. The views are great from up here. Good thing it's not on the main track. I took the thinking game and left Quagmire Karaoke TB. If possible, you may want to change the cache size entry. If the cache can fit Quagmire, it's not small.

This was our first attempt at geocaching and we were unsuccessful. Think we were in right area as gps checked out on later caching on same day. Did a thorough search of area around track with no luck. Still it was a nice walk along beach and dunes to an area we haven't been before even though we have been nearby many times.
Very nice place. Took the Geo kiddies after school haven't done much caching for about a year GZ was spot on. The contents were spoiled by water and the log book was soaked.(not much i could help with sorry). Was raining while doing. Took pens left croaking frog which should like this one. Thanx from Cheekyfrogs
Nice views - a great cache for a first visit to the Wollongong area. Got hot feet walking through the sunbaked sands on the way in. Note a few problems at GZ... the weeds that must have hidden the cache have been burned out recently and the cache is exposed. Also, cache container was full of water and all goods and log book are waterlogged and defunct. I dumped out the water and concealed the cache to the degree possible. Didn't sign log- too wet. Thanks for a great secluded spot.
Lived very close to this area for years and never actually went right to g.z. before.First cache found,i'm enjoying this cache business. Thanks for the views and the exercise.Onto finding my next one.
An easy find in the dunes with no muggles about to disturb the search. Geokid shottied the change in the cache and replaced it with something I cant remember and a few toy cars.
No stink from the nearby poo pump outlet today!

First find for the day, and what a view. I have rode past here on my bike many times as a kid but had no idea these views existed. Anyway TNLN, thanks for showing me another part of the gong.
My 2nd Geo Cache find, a bit of looking around but finally found it. Great views of the area.
What a great view...and it goes without saying views are at tops of hills, sand hills in this case, but the struggle was well worth it. Pointed a few likely spots out to the more able people of the party only to find i was standing nearly on top of the cache and had only to look down. Good one Dingbats TNLN.
Found this one today tagging along with the unbearables. Great view and location, thanks dingbats. Took travel bug (red buggy) too help on speedy way - LN. Now who dropped that one - eewwwwwww.
There was a surfing contest going on near the cache location and didn’t the memories start flooding back. All the great winter swells that use to roll into the bay spending the whole day surfing and watching boats that broke from their moorings getting washed on the rocks. What great days.
My second ever attempt at a geocache (first one successful), I struck out on this one. My GPS was all over the place (still got L plates on) and I gashed my leg on a dead tree. Not happy, Jan... But having read how easy some found it I'll try again later.
Found this one easy, what a top spot!
We left the buggy as it was on a mission and dropped it a mate having a look around, Thanx for a nice short walk, well done.

After a great BBQ with the rats in a park, we headed off to do a couple more caches before we pointed the car home.
Not being a local, it took a while to find the shortest access point, but we did eventually and it was a nice walk too.
Wales could be seen off the coast as we climbed the sand dunes. The cache was found easily and in good nick. Swapped some magnet klips for a mini cd-rom game. Also left a TB that is working it's way around oz.

Must have been sand blindness yesterday, as the cache was in hand in minutes when returning with BigMickB and Pfil for what turned out to be a much easier cache than I'd found it to be yesterday.

Much the same as what Partic said. I can't claim to be much better as I walked right past the thing before Partic made the find. Interesting choice of container there. Never seen that done before! Thanks Dingbats.
Bugger...
No luck with this one today, spending 30 minutes looking under everything within 5m of the GZ my GPS was giving me.
May have another attempt in the morning before heading back to Melbourne, otherwise it'll be one for next trip.

It'd been while since I'd been out caching so when this cache popped on my nearest list I jumped at the opportunity to dust off the cobwebs.
After a short search in a place where I'd done a bit of caching before, a virgin was mine. Loved the new type of container, swapped some playdough for a screwdriver set and left another TB for the collection.
