Found at 4:58 PM GAFF1.We decided to stop here for the night as it was really hot (40c) and it looked like a really nice camp spot.As soon as we set up - which took about 5 minutes - p-pprass headed off to find this cache and soon discovered a path that was going to take him straight to the cache and it did - apart from a bit of loose gravel going down which was a bit tricky after his Pyramid Hill experience! It was then a matter of looking around for the cache and it was actually found straight away thank goodness to whoever invented "UPOR" whom btw should be made a saint for us geocachers RazzThanks to Team OrrClan

14:58, 8 August, 2023. #2238.

We’re on a coach tour of the Kimberley and are at the whim of the tour schedule. This means geocaching is a very hit and miss exercise.

After having been unable to hunt for any other caches so far today, I was determined to make the most of the opportunity to find this cache when the coach pulled in here. We were limited for time, and we were parked reasonably close, but I was wary of the T3 rating.

So, while everyone else were busying themselves taking photos and visiting the facilities I headed to GZ. By the time I was about 3/4 of the way there I was starting to worry about how much time I had left and how the terrain challenge was becoming more obvious. I decided that I might as well go for broke - if I was going to get into trouble, I might as well make it worthwhile.

The gamble paid off and I managed to find the cache pretty easily. Qa couple of quick photos, sign the log and hot foot it back to Jon the group, just in time to not be last back on the bus.

The cache is in good condition.

A bit slippery but no muggles today! Make sure don’t fall off the cliff hehehe..

23-Jun-23
Travelling north to Darwin with iluvtrekking. We were heading to Larrawa Station for an overnight stay and stopped to do this cache. It was 4pm before we reached the rest area and it was already chockers with vans. Just enough room for our two vans to pull up so we could make the walk to gz to record our visit. Thanks for the cache and the great views.

23-Jun-23
Heading north with richlink to Darwin and beyond enjoying the stunning scenery and picking up a cache or two along our route. This is one of the caches we found along the way, thanks TeamOrrClan.

21-May-23
It was an easy walk towards the cache. Views this morning are pretty, geology fascinating .. and the odd rouge spinifex a tad spiky!

When GreyHams discovered a great deal to relocate a motor home from Broome to Darwin, things quickly slotted into place to head out for another adventure together. Three planes and a full day of travelling later we arrived in Broome, with the most amazing orange sunset out the windows of the plane.

Plenty of time to discover a few of Broomes caches and places before collecting our wheels the following morning. It slept 6 and had all the luxuries, it was huge, climbing up into it there was no going back and off we set!

The drive was full of changing scenery. Loved the Boab trees in all their different shapes and mass numbers, termite mounds and the red earth. Wildlife lined the roads, always cattle but birds, wild horses, snakes, dingo's, pigs and even buffalo! Stunning rock formations, waterways and even many little fires it was a great drive stopping for the caches as we passed... but no crocs (sad face!)

Leaving Broome we had overnight stays in Fitzroy Crossing, Kununarra and Timber Creek, great places but the highlight being the Lazy Lizard in Timber Creek. Passing through Halls Creek, Katherine and even Kakadu among many other little towns and stops along the way added to a great trip. The van was comfortable and a novel way to travel, the caches spread out over big distances a chance to stretch the legs.

Arriving into Darwin and the van returned it was into town for a few must find caches, and to explore the town, a tad warmer than we were used to at 33C!

Many thanks to all the COs of the caches we stopped at along the way and that added to the enjoyment of the trip.

Aquilus1 & I decided at short notice to add another 'crazy' trip to our growing list of adventures. Flying from Canberra to Broome and driving a 'war rig' huge campervan from Broome to Darwin. It could sleep 6! The hire itself cost almost nothing as it was on a 'relocation' deal.

We arrived too late to pick up the bus on our first day....not surprising really as it took 3 flights to get there. The hotel we stayed at in Broome at had a "competition" on the night we arrived and several barmaids in odd clothing.... "Welcome to WA" it would seem.

After picking up the battleship, we proceeded easterly on our adventure. In three days we would see Fitzroy's Crossing, Hall's Creek, Kununurra, Timber Creek, Katherine, Pine Creek, Kakadu & Darwin, as well as a lot of road.

No crocs spotted, but we did see dingo's, water buffalo, horses, lots of birds & cows.

Favourite stop by a mile was in Pine Creek, at the Lazy Lizard. Very cool and also the cheapest!

Thanks to all the CO's for placing.

Wow what a lookout.it was not easy to get hold of the container, but the description said so. In addition it is set via the difficulty rating. If you are unsure don‘t do it. It can be dangerous.

On my way to Perth via Broome with a few detours for LGAs. TFTC.
A great spot with excellent views.

20-Jul-22
The terrain beat me. First I tried from up top, ending up on the top of a pinnacle and then realising the cache was below. After I managed to get myself off that scary place, I drove down to the road and parked. The gully stopped me. I suspect I could see another route, but I had tried to get to this twice, and was now ready to drive on. DNF.

Catching up on some late logs, now that I have time, while travelling.

We are on the road travelling up through central Australian and down the coast of WA. I was happy to grab a few caches along the way and this was one of them.

Sent muggle hubby down to get this one but happy to have name in log.

Thanks Team OrrClan for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

We are still heading west with ilook4geo and picking up some caches along the way. This one didn't stay hidden for very long and we are happy to claim the find after climbing carefully down and signing the log. All was replaced as it had been found. The container and log are both in good condition. Great views from this point too. Thanks for placing this cache go to Team OrrClan.

We are spending a few weeks travelling to some of Western Australia's warmer regions and grabbing a couple of the LGAs that I need.
I have replaced the container here.
I looked for it last week on our way through and came up empty so I messaged the CO about replacing it but didn't hear back. We camped here last night and I spent another 45 minutes searching the surrounding area but didn't uncover anything so I have replaced it with a preform.
I hope it is OK
This was find number 1 for the day.

An amazing spot here and a nice excuse to stretch the legs on our journey today from Broome to Kununurra.

Beautiful views and have awarded a fav point.

Had three weeks holiday so decided on a massive road trip to the most northern part of the state - the Kimberley. An area we have never explored, but had always been on the to do list. We travelled through the towns of Mount Magnet, Newman, Port Hedland, Broome, Halls Creek, Kununurra, back to Broome, Karratha, Exmouth, Denham, Geraldton and back home to Perth. It certainly was a very quick trip for the distance covered, over 8,000 kilometres in total, we saw a lot in such a short space of time, but barely scratched the surface of what’s out in these parts.

We would like to thank the individual COs for hiding the caches throughout these parts, from the towns to the highways and byways. Thank you for choosing to share these locations with us and we appreciate the effort you have gone to. Thanks for the fun.

Today our tour - which began in Perth, WA , and led us thru Western, Northern and Southern Australia back to Perth, was simply driving from Fitzroy Crossing to Warmun Roadhouse.

On the way we came to some interesting locations. Here we searched, found and logged this Tradi-Cache.

Weather was good in the morning and it should even get better during the day.

Thanks to 'Team OrrClan' for showing us this location, for the fun we had with 'Erehwon' and the smiley. The search here and today didn't take too much time, fortunately.

Greetings from Germany and we hope to see you soon in the forest, prairie, desert or outback .

Pulled in here for a stretch of the legs on the stretch between Halls Creek and Fitsroy Crossing on our AdVANture Around Australia - a lovely lookout, but I still don't get why people are already camped here at 11am! The wind was enough to keep the inside their vans though as I ventured out to the vintage point, getting "bitten" by a Spinifex on the way - and then I got in trouble by the muggleman as I slipped down the cliff edge in search of the cache. Luckily it.didnt take me.long to make the find and sign and I was back up on top in no time or i may have been in more trouble. TFTC Team OrrClan - this cache marks this part of our journey on the geomap for future reference.

Heading towards Fitzroy Crossing today this was a nice excuse to stop.
The only problem was it was windy which made the walk out to GZ fun.
Once there we easily reached the cache and managed to shelter a bit out of the wind.
If we come back here again we'll make sure we try and camp here.

After a two night stay in Kununurra it was time to head back south . No real plans where we will stop for the night just stop when we've had enough for the day

Will try and grabbed a few caches along this giant stretch of road

We opted to stay here for the night. I turned on my gps and noticed cache was only a short distance from us.
We went to have a look tho thongs aren't the best footwear when not sure footed on flat ground.
Muggle grabbed the cache and we put a slip of paper in, as we had been on the road for a couple of weeks I didn't know it didn't have a notebook.
Anyway signed paper and muggle put it back.

We stayed at Warmum roadhouse last night and are making our way towards Broome and of course stopping for any cache that might pop up along the way.

We pulled up here to find quite a few caravans already set up for the night but it was still very early afternoon, it makes you wonder what time they stop so at first we thought that we wouldn't be able to look for this one but it turns out that the CO had hidden the cache well and truly out of sight of any muggle eyes so we were back on track. We started following the GPS and then got carried away with our own importance following what we assumed was the geo trail and when we got to the end we checked the GPS to find out how far and went "Oh Bugger, wrong one" So back we went and made our way across to the right area and followed the cache page information and took a bit of car on the last bit of the journey and were rewarded with a nice quick find once at gz and our name is now in the log.

Thanks Team OrrClan for the cache.
