I've looked at this one for a while but never really spent much time caching around here. Today after doing a walk in the Quarry Hills I kept going to look for this finally. After resting at the top and taking in the nice views I wandered over to make the find. Thanks for the cache Quasar.
Thanks for the cache, found yesterday as part of a 10km walk; cache in good condition. While I did collect coordinates for its partner mystery, and factoring in remaining walking needed for the day, I decided against going for the mystery, and will return another time (after legs have stopped hating me as much).
**DNF Avenged!**I originally attempted to find this one back in May, but after finding the camo and a piece of swag, but no cache I had to log a [DNF](https://www.geocaching.com/live/log/GL19V56B5). I originally wanted to find this one as it filled in a missing month I needed for my [Jasmer](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2018/10/the-jasmer-challenge/). Well I checked again today and I still had this month, June 2005, missing, so I figured it was about time to change that and come avenge this [DNF](https://www.geocaching.com/live/log/GL19V56B5).Well with having a half day at work today, I was able to get off in plenty of time to make the longer drive up here to have another go at this cache. With this being my second time up here, I knew the best place to park. So I parked the geomobile just down the hill from GZ and continued on foot. It was a perfect day to be out caching today, the sun was shining and it was warm, but not hot. *Absolutely perfect!*So it was a lovely walk over to GZ and with having found the hiding spot last time I was able to walk straight up to the cache this time.Whew! it was a great to finally get this **DNF** avenged and finally mark, June 2005 complete!I ended up picking up the [Green Paw (TB51X6C) trackable](https://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?guid=b8189db6-05ef-4f29-9054-3fadb8e57744) from another cache the other day, but due to the size of this cache I will just "dip" it here and keep it moving.A big thanks goes [Quasar](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=037ea1ff-3296-46ac-a3c5-8f2798d812ef&wid=2a1edc6c-e90c-403d-8ed3-8cb2f6f525d2&ds=2) for the beautiful walk today and for keeping this cache alive for all these years. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status**The cache container was in good shape and the inner contents were nice and dry. The [co-ordinates for its companion cache](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCPB8K_population-growth-2-exponential-growth) were very legible and the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.
Following the trail and walking up and down the hills, I finally reached GZ. The unpleasant bid was walking the last stretch and collecting grass seeds that pierced my socks. Oh well, greats views though
Lovely day for a walk up to the cache today. Great views and lots of new houses. I wasn’t prepared to go to the bonus cache as I was on a schedule but I got the coordinates and will come back another day. TFTC
I found this cache several years ago, and noted the coordinates for #2, but the #2 GZ was back the way I had travelled from, and it was a very hot day, so I decided not to retrace my steps. In the meantime, I managed to loose the coordinates for #2, so a return visit to #1 was needed. The gates were closed to the walking track via the carpark, but I was not daunted, as the fence was easily climbed. I signed my name on the new log, and headed off to #2. Lovely.
Even with the population growth is still was a pretty walk to this one. Had no trouble locating it. Signed the fresh new log and grabbed required the information for #2. Thanks for keeping this golden oldie alive.
Checked on this one today. It was definitely gone, looks like deliberately removed as the camo was still in there. Coords are spot on and I've replaced with a small 200ml sistema container, a new log book with the numbers needed for "Population Growth #2: Exponential Growth" which is also replaced and ready to go.

Hi there Quasar,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is some sort of issue. The recent logs may contain more details about what sort of issues are evident.
The cache has been [**temporarily disabled**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235), so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location, until the issues/s can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days,** so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.
#What you need to do:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache** - once checked, place an Owner Maintenance log and then enable the cache.
- **Place A Write Note Log** - indicating a date when you expect it will be restored.
- **Adopt Out or Archive** - depending on whether you want it kept or for it to disappear.
Full details for each of the above choices can be found at [**GEOCACHE MAINTENANCE**]( https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/Victoria) on the Regional Policies page.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned.
It would be far better if you decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache.
Usually I do not log a Needs Maintenance after a DNF, but I believe I confirmed my location with pervious finder photos. I found the obvious camo that seemed to match the cache name theme as well as a piece of swag at GZ, but no container or logbook. This one could probably do with a quick double check to confirm it is still there.

Wanted to come out to find this historical cache as it would fill in one of my missing months I needed for my Ausmer challenge. My phone honed into a likely beacon. I event found camo that seemed to match the name of the cache. After doing a bit more digging I found a piece of swag.
*Surely, the cache must be here!*
Unfortunately it was no luck. I ended up expanding my search to all the nearby beacons, but still no cache to be found. I then got desperate and tried to match up some previous finders photos. It appeared I was in the correct spot, but no cache could be found. This one may be missing.

Walked up to get this one to tick off a month I needed to find. Thanks for keeping such an old cache alive. Log was a bit damp but still writable.
Well I am finally out of Whittlesea and on the road to Melbourne and surrounding counties. Checking to see what fun caches I can do and what LGA’s I am still needing to fill in. I have no set plans for the moment just whatever I see along the way.
This was a nice one to fill in some more of those old cache series. It was a nice walk up the hill and I spotted the cache fairly easily. It was so nice to grab this one, I sat for a bit and took in the views, then worked out where to go to next. Thanks for keeping this oldie active, like other cachers, we appreciate the older caches.

Found It!
It was very windy up here today but still a nice view. A quick find once I got to GZ.

After an awesome MEGA weekend, I headed towards Tullamarine to drop off my trusty Jucy van and had a couple of oldies on my radar to grab on the way through.
Parking nearby, I quickly walked up the hill to gz where I quickly found the cache.
Thanks Quasar for placing the cache here, and for keeping it going.

Another cache found on our mega tour. Thanks for the fun.
November 2022. Time for the second Victorian Mega of the year. This time in Whittlesea. What is it with W's? Time for another epic road trip. Who will join our merry crew? We traveled from South Australia and camped in the pig pen. It rained. It blew. It was sunny. It was not sunny. All four seasons. Beautiful location and some awesome caches.
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.
Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

A nice find in the suburbs today, cache found and is all good
This weekend was mega weekend and we headed over with Freddo, team Waldron, e.gregory1 and Davidwazza as part of our team called: ‘Aussies on Tour’, the log books were either signed with the name, AOT or our individual caching names.
A great weekend away and a very well organised mega despite the horrible weather thrown at us we still managed to find quite a few caches
Thanks for the cache

This weekend, it was a flight and trip down to Melbourne to attend The Whittlesea 2022 Mega Event. I arrived on Thursday evening and had accommodation in Mill Park, which was a good strategic location between Whittlesea and Melbourne. I joined a few South Aussie friends as part of the “Aussies on Tour” (AOT) team, which consisted of e.gregory1, Freddo, gridge98, and Team Waldron.
Several geocaching series were completed, which included the Commonwealth Star Series (CSS), Whittlesea Puzzles for Beginners, Whittlesea Event Gadget Trail (WEGT), Whittlesea Challenge Wander (WCW), and the Whittlesea Compass (TWC). In addition, we targeted uncommon cache types, rare/unique D-T combinations, older caches and those with high Favourite Points. It was great to have visited Victoria's two 2000 hidden geocaches too (Victoria's 1st (Melbourne's 1st) and Devil Bend).
We were treated with great weather for the first couple of days, but then it deteriorated from Saturday afternoon with rain storms and high winds overnight and on Sunday.
I needed a morning run to get my body going, so I suggested this *Population Growth* series to the team. So after parking at the designated car park at the end of the street, we took a jog up the trail and up to the main lookout. Funnily enough, the geocache name didn't make too much sense to me until arriving at GZ and seeing the unexpected views, and it was then that it made obvious sense. We then took a walk over to GZ through the damp grass, and the cache was soon found. The cache container was in good shape, but the logbook had strangely been left out of the container, and hence it was quite damp. The logbook was stamped with our "Aussies on Tour" stamp / noted as AOT to save logbook space. I grabbed the clue for #2, as that would be our next target. Thanks Quasar for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 06/2005 hidden cache.

EC found with LL, LL has 2 /2 finds today!
Didn't read the description before we got here and were so happy to find that this leads on to a whole series, as its a pretty quiet caching trail! Thanks so much, off to get number 2 right now!

Beautiful view. Didn’t have time for number two but noted coordinates and will visit later. TFTC
I am currently working on completing *sharkiefan's* **Mystery Cache Monthly Challenge**... that's 30 Mystery caches in 30 days! Currently at 23 for 22 days, I am doing OK but my stock of "solved Mystery caches" near home has run out so everything requires a bit of a drive...
The weather wasn't fantastic but it didn't look like rain so I decided to drive over here for the pair to this cache... and that meant finding this one first. Easy enough after a huff'n'puff up the hill... with the walk being a little longer than it was originally as the Council has closed off vehicle access to the car park. With the log signed and the coordinates collected, it was off to the next hill... and the real target for the afternoon.
Thanks **Quasar** for the cache.

What a magnificent view. I also saw a massive kangaroo. This cache was found very speedily.
Up here on a beautiful spring morning with my hiking company on a morning hike. I was first one at the meeting place so I decided to climb the hill and search for this treasure. Found safe and sound. Lovely views. TFTC quasar
What a great walk and breath taking view. Great spot for a cache...thanks for bringing me here. TFTC
Went for an afternoon walk with my partner and dog and had a lovely time finding this along the way!
I hadn't been here before. This perfectly clear autumn evening made for a good first impression, but the view would stand up to any weather. There was a good stream of locals making their way here - on the way back I met some youths carrying up camping chairs, perhaps to enjoy the sunset. Youths! Thanks Quasar for bringing me here.

Find #4363
Traditional Find #2733**
I setout with SteMicMitSar to complete a recently published Wherigo as well as find other caches of interest, in particular those that have been nominated for the 2019 COTY Awards and also caches published during or before 2005. A nice old cache we couldn't pass up. Gave me some much needed exercise too.

*Cache find # 10724.*
I headed out today with biggles1024 to find a few caches.
Today was mainly about a Wherigo cache, COTY nominated caches and members of the first 500 Victorian caches with a couple of others thrown in for good measure.
This one is in the first 500 category so off we went on a stroll along the trail and up the hill until we reached GZ, it was an easy find and the views from here are great.

Had fun with the kids looking for it... didn't have a p3n so couldn't write in log. Left a little token of appreciation. Thanks
Went for an hour hike and had to wait for some muggles to pass before we could go searching for the cache. First trackable I've seen; figured I'd leave it for someone else with a bit more experience and knowledge on what to do. TFTC!
A cold morning for a find! Nice cache in the local area. Thanks for the find! A trackable has been left here.
Found with the help of my faithful geodog! The array of views you're lead through to attain the find is really remarkable!
Out and about tonight with Trailstevo, thought we were in for a nice easy stroll and then we found ourselves hiking up the hill to Eagle lookout. Was a great view from up there. Then strolled down through the housing estate and finished the evening off with a couple of drivebys. Thanks for the fun evening outing.
Out with Gunks. Nightcaching. Some great views and quick finds. It was my night to shine with some of them. Thanks for the caches. Fantastic view at night, as usual the phone camera is not as good as how my eyes see it.
After having attended the event in the CBD I thought I'd take advantage of the long weekend and drive north. Generally journeying from the south-east to to the north is a pain in the bum due to traffic and few connector roads.
I thought, that with the long weekend traffic would be reduced. My mistake, there were still sections where I sat in traffic for 5+ minutes.
However after arriving at GZ for this cache, the views made up for it. Really, well worth the trip. I tend to find that the first 500 in Victoria always offer something a little special.

Came to find this one for its hidden date. But it was worth the ride for the great view. Tftc
In the area with GemmaSistema hitting up the nearby geo art we decided to target this one, thanks for the hide. thanks for bringing us up here the views are killer, almost literally :p
A day of geocaching with wozzle68 today saw us complete the nearby geoart then hunt out some other nearby caches. Our final cache for the day - I targeted this due to the month and year of publication (for another challenge cache). We were tired and slowly ambled up the hill and made the quick find before heading down and making the long trek home. Great views and history up the top here and it looks like there are plenty of tracks to explore. Many thanks for the cache.
Found it today with traceyann23 and mrsjomcd, it was nice to meet up with them.

Found this geocache after about 10-15 minutes of searching. I won't give away where I found it exactly but it was certainly a challenge.
Great spot with great views, wasn’t much to swap so left you some there, tftc and the views
I got up early to beat the heat and find a few caches before retreating back to the aircon at home.
The carpark is locked at the moment after all of the illegal dumping going on after speaking with a local on the way up.
Parked close to the gate and off up the hill I went.
Passed quiet a few Roos on the way up and there were a lot of mums around as I saw quiet a few heads sticking out of their pouches.
Once at GZ I quickly located the cache, got what was required for #2 then sat down at the lookout to take in the views, great info sign to explain the area as well.
Thanks Quasar TFTC.

Reading another log we took the advice and took our bikes. It was a bit of a climb up from the carpark to get to GZ with low gears all the way. Well worth it, even on a cold and windy day. Great view of the burbs and Melbourne. The cache was easily located and in good condition. Thanks for bringing us to this, not known about, spot.

Nice quick find after a short slog up the hill on a warm Autumn afternoon. Admittedly the dress shirt trousers and work shoes didn't ready help, where the hell are my singlet shorts and thongs.

I am taking a week off to go on a caching holiday. My plans for the second day was to find all the caches within Mt Dissapointment bushland. Though I had a late start after finding a D5T5 and thus didn't finish until after dark.
During the trip I saw quite a few wallibies, a couple of horses, a head on car crash (no one was hurt at least), I heard a few deer honking, and other than caches I found a hiking pole and a fellow cacher's personal log stamp.
After leaving the area I had to find some more caches on the way South in order to reach the 270 finds in a day milestone which I just managed!
After all that my car needs a good wash!
Thanks for all the caches!

I enjoyed the walk up here and loved the design of the shelter Great views toward the city and even a few friendly Roos. Thanks for bringing me here.
Tftc and the spot - kangaroos and baby joeys abundant - took nothing left a Malaysian coin
