So cool. Thank you GEOCASH, you always find an amazing place and thanks to you we’ve visited so many new places that we never knew about.
But we could not find the geocache. After a while we think that the geocache was missing. Please check if it is still where it is supposed to be.
Once again thanks!

This is the second time I've looked for this cache. No luck again today. According to the d/t should be quite simple spent 30 minutes with two pairs of eyes and no luck.
A damp day in Twizel so went on a tiki tour and collected some caches along the way.
Was here over new year but too many muggles here turning a blind eye to the signs to jump off the bridge, and lack of suitable footwear on my feet. Today again the muggles were jumping off the bridge again so I'm scrambled down after they hit the water and found easily. TFTC Bitsprayer
Road trip from Rotorua North Island. Another South island cache found by Mts PorknPuha.
A bit wet today. Cache signed, seal and replaced in the same spot.

A bit steep for a 1.5 terrain but we found it. Going to stay in the bus by Ruataniwha for the night so picked this one up On the way. TFTC
We were heading to Mt Cook for a wee break and of course were caching throughout the area.
We had an awesome time with some brilliant weather apart from only one day where it didnt play ball. Great to see so many awesome caches throughout the area.
This was a Lovely old bridge and awesome view of the river.

Gotcha! Was thinking this would be a bit less dodgey due to terrain level recorded but alas I was happy for the scramble and left the littles at the top. Tftcand the sweet swimming spot.
Found on a sunny day whilst staying the weekend in Twizel. TFTC. Found safe and sound.
Continuing on our PWGT journey visiting the Canterbury area this weekend. Thanks to all the cachers for their efforts in setting up the GeoTours and sharing the history of New Zealand.
After an overnight in a superb new motel in Omarama, we were back on the road again. Still a bit chilly but beautiful clear sky.
Easy to spot when in the right position TFTC.

Enjoying a stay in Motorhome. No fish caught but awesome feed at salmon farm across the bridge. Caught the last of Autumn colours. With Kaz53
From Auckland and on a 7 weeks motor trip to the South Island to do all our outstanding parkruns.

Great cache at an old bridge that's stood the test of time I have seen a few with this type of construction..while it was simple enough uuumm on the T rating...I would hate to slipthanks bitsprayer
We are staying on the canal nearby, well on the other side. Wd got on our bikes and braved the traffic on the main road to then turn off onto a very bumpy gravel road. Good to see a different perspective and a nice tribute for this bridge. Thanks for the cache bitsprayer
Cache was out in the open, easy find, tried too find the original home as the hint suggested
As I made my way down the country I have seen and been over meny bridges and from the simple plank to to bridge to nowhere and steal, wood both old and new .
But I always love to see the way we used to build things with out a computer , just good old fashioned basic engineering.
Finally I am back on the main land , feels good to back in the south island.
And now getting closer to home and fimiler places. Otago is in my sites.
Living life one foot steep at a time as i walk from cape reinga to bluff and caching my way home as I walk the
Te Araroa and discover the hidden treasures new Zealand has to offer.
From the beachs of the north to the forest and lakes and the odd bump of the south
Blùff here i come
Thanks for the hide

Found this one beautiful evening at sunset while volunteering in the area. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on day one of our southerrrn geocaching trip. We had checked into our accommodation in Twizel, had a reviving cup of coffee, then headed out to find a few more caches before dinner. Got back in time to watch the cricket.
Pleased that SW was with me to find this one as the terrain was more 3 than 1 1/2. Cool bridge! We had wondered if we could get across the intake to the cache at the lookout, but realised we would need to backtrack to the main road. Took the shortcut back to the main road, which I don't recommend, it was a bit bumpy. Worth a detour to see the bridge. TFTC.

#18776. Quite a bumpy drive to GZ, and then a tricky wee descent to reach the cache. Interesting spit. TFTC.
Spending a few days roaming around the south of the South Island doing some geocaching. After spending two nights at Twizel todays plan was to move on to Tekapo, but first we went to check out the Ohau Channel salmon and get the caches out that way. Another one for Mr S, no way Mrs S was going to climb down there. She read the interesting history of the bridge instead. the old way of crossing the river looked a bit precarious. Not for the fainthearted. Lol.
Thanks Bitsprayer. Another smilie.

Couple of days fishing around the canals now a few caches on the drive home.

Finally, second time lucky. Wasn’t at ground level, more like eye level for us. Bring your own pen.
Our first day back geocaching now that we are in level 2 and caching is permitted again. Lovely old bridge, and what looks like a spot where people swim in summer. Thanks for bringing us here.
I'm catching up on my logging which seemed to have stalled even though we have been in lockdown, my excuse is that I have been working throughout.
Found on our southward leg - day 2. A bit of a scramble to GZ.
This started out as a Geocaching road trip to Invercargill to drop off some stuff for the niece and collect some other stuff for Mrs banian. It turned into a bit of a race back to Wellington to beat the Covid-19 lockdown.
We were able to rebook our Ashburton accommodation and ferry ticket to earlier in the week. When we arrived in Picton the vehicle queue was almost a kilometre long, and got longer behind us. Fortunately, as we had tickets we were still able to get on our sailing.

This is more like a T2.5 than a 1.5 and I certainly couldn't even try it. Luckily M still has the skills to get to the cache and after a short look, he found the cache. A cool bridge that we wouldn't have found if it wasn't for geocaching. Thanks, Bitsprayer.
I started my great and unique round trip over the South Island in Christchurch.
My first major stopover was at Lake Tapeko - here I hiked up to Observation Mountain.
I then planned two days in Mount Cook NP with some unforgettable hikes. My big goal was the Mueller Hut - on a super strenuous hike I reached it.
I continued my journey over the lonely Danseys Pass to Dunedin.
Afterwards I drove along the Southern Scienic Route via Invercargill to Manapouri for some days. On this route I visited many sights and enjoyed the beautiful nature again and again.
I already booked a tour to the Doubtful Sound in advance - another highlight on my tour.
Afterwards I drove on to Queensown and Wanaka. From there I continued over the Haast Pass to the lonely Jackson Bay with storm and heavy rain. Afterwards I drove along the west coast always in pouring rain.
The rain stopped the whole west coast, but I had good rainwear with me. Only high up in Nelson the sun shone again.
Soon I reached the east coast again in Picton and Blenheim and the sun was shining again.
After a few days I travelled back to Christchurch via the beautiful town of Kaikoura.
At the end of my round trip I spent a few more days in Christchurch and its surroundings.
I visited many geological sites and found many caches on my round trip. In Rangiora I visited an event.
I travelled 3418 km and take home a lot of positive experiences.
Thanks to many beautiful caches I was also shown unique locations, historical sites and geological features.
I am overwhelmed by the fantastic and ever changing nature on the South Island of New Zealand - I will definitely come back.
Many thanks to all owners

Took us a while. Difficult terrain. Left some sticking plasters for the next finder as we sure needed them!
Took us waaaay too long but we eventually found it!! Agree terrain quite a mission
Great hiding place. Never been to the old iron bridge before even though we have been to Twizel many times.
Wow, never would have seen this historical bridge, if not for this cache! Thank you!
found with little kids. they loved the bridge but terrified me trying to climb the sides! cool little spot. so close but so quiet
Today we are travelling from Oamarama to Aroaki. The weather is cloudy, we decided to look for geocaches along our way. Also, since our little boy is learning to count and write numbers, we decided to set the objective of 12 cache for today. At each cache found, he has to write the number several times, fun and learn... This is 5/12.
Terrain rating at 1.5 seems a bit low. A child can not access the cache safely . I would say at least 2.5. It's not an easy walk and can be slippery. Interesting story about the bridge. Thanks for the cache, everything is in order here.

Beautiful lake with amazing autumn colours on the trees. Small scramble but easy to find cache.
Thanks for the cache, spent our time fishing the canals here on holidays from Aus. Left trackable Support the 2 cents
Touring around the area looking for caches. Thank you for showing us this lovely bridge. I think the terrain rating needs to be increased.

Nice spot. Driven past many times with no awareness of this historical site. TFTC.
What a deep pool. Don't think I'd have jumped from here in my youth. No one did while I was in the vicinity but there were a few up top looking like they were plucking up courage. A paddle boarder was enjoying the pool down below. Thanks for placing a cache here. Spied one person jumping in my rear vision mirror as I pulled away.
If Ruru_NZ was with me she would have told me I wasn't going down there to look for a cache. But I did with great care as I guess I wouldn't be found if I injured myself before another cacher came to search. I looked carefully as I could from side to side but it was being elusive today. Maybe on my return later in the year I will give it another go.
Who would've known this was down here. I was searching the other side until I read the clue. TFTC
