Out for a weekend's caching in Orange with Just a Cacher on a very wet weekend with some very wet dogs in tow. A quick find in a classic hide. SL TFTC
Out for a weekend's caching with Black Bunny. We could have chosen better weather - it rained and hailed and poured and there was thunder and lightning, and we got wet and muddy, and had no dry clothes to put on. On top of that, we took the dogs, so we had wet muddy dogs, with that distinctive wet dog smell, in the car all weekend as well. Black Bunny was very keen to get a few caches, as his average was dropping, whatever that means! I think we managed that, as he came home with a smile on his face.
Took a bit of looking but we found it and then enjoyed a picnic lunch - a shame about the trucks rushing by! TFTC
again this was place in the to do later basket and since we now knew exactly where it was it was a quick grab and then the kids checked out the fish river as they had been learning all about the fish river and the gold rush at school. tftc
Lovely spot for a cuppa and morning tea. River gurgling.
Had to wait for GPS to settle down as quite cloudy off and on and then a string of trucks came.
Never-the-less, cache was soon in hand, singed and returned to its home.

called in while in the area for some other caches, however a campervaner had set up with a good view to GZ. had a quick wander around trying to looking inconspicuous, then abandoned the search til another day.
Found 11:35am, quick drive by guarded by a large Red Back Spider (warning for geo-kids). Looks like a nice spot for swimming. Just need water! TNLN thanks.
Found by Mary & David at 1630. A busy road, and quite a bridge. A lovely reserve nearby with some shade and seats. Looked in the wrong area first, but repositioned and found it almost immediately after that. Our visit here was quite uneventful in comparison with mtbikeroz's and Captain Tomato's experiences. Our thanks to Scenic routers.
Great spot for a break on the road while out riding my motorbike. Found the cache ok with the help of a conveniently located stick. Plenty of passing muggles! TFTC
A quick find getting on late in the day (using torches by now). Cheers Gav [4330]
I almost missed looking for this one altogether and had to double back for it. No need to pretend to be taking photos of the bridge as an easy find was made in a highly logical spot and with good coordinates, thanks Scenic routers.
Was harassed by a passing motorist who pulled into the park behind my car and wanted to know what I was doing down in O'Connel - Got quite personal, told him I was just taking pics of old structures, OK seemed to satisfy him. (he was a local there) (I actually did, and had them in my camera to prove it) He was happy for me to delete them, which i did.
Back to cache - after all that I couldn't locate it, called a help line, then saw it easily.

I found this cache on our Bathurst weekend with the Team Bananaphone crew of Ultra Violet Z, SuperJaz & Bewilderbeest. We had awesome fun on this weekend!
Oops, I'm a bit behind on logging my finds.
Thanks for the cache
A Bathurst invasion weekend find with the Team Bananaphone crew of Little Buds, SuperJaz & Bewilderbeest. We had awesome fun on this weekend!
Sorry, I'm a bit behind on logging my finds.
Thanks for the cache
Drove right up to the cache after depositing the geokids at the playground en route. Minutes later they came running up to us so I guess they're now big enough to open childproof gates. TFTC
Bathurst Invasion Weekend. Another of the recently replaced caches. Thanks agin for the efforts in upkeep. A few passers by may have wondered what we were doing, but no harm done. Thanks.

Found this cache with SecretSquirrel-BJC on our Bathurst Invasion weekend. Had a great time meeting the locals and finding stacks of caches.
Well, this was a happy but sad cache. Found it after looking in the wrong place for a while, but then as SS noted I went and lost my GPSr when it fell off the car roof - where I had foolishy placed it to remove my jumber. We had only been gone for about 5 minutes before I realised what had happened and were back within 10 minutes searching high and low for over an hour. (What a waste of good caching time). LOL
Luckily it was picked up in the meantime by a kind lady who phoned me the next day to arrange its return. I still can't believe how fortunate I am!

My first trip to Bathurst for 34 years – came up through Booroowa and Cowra and headed home via Oberon and Goulburn. Although with that many caches, my memory has blurred, I have come away with a great appreciation of the countryside and seen more of the towns than if I was doing my normal touristy thing. I have seen historic locations, scenic locations, fun locations, tricky micros, easy micros, evil micros – fantastic.
Thanks Scenic Routers for the fun of the hunt and showing us this really nice park and river. And pass on our thanks to the locals who found and returned CT's GPS - he finds the signal is better when it is positioned on the car roof.....

Nice & easy as the description suggests, we almost drove right up to it and quickly found the container.

It turns out the cache had been muggled ?? how someone found it one will never know ????
Anyhow there is a new container and a last minute log sheet, was not expecting an awol cache.

654. Although we retrieved it out of sight of the nearby muggles, I often wonder what they think. A father and son drive passed, stop, get out, disappear for a couple of minutes and then drive on. Must have them thinking.

Found it ! We have all done our share of caches with a GZ the changes every time we check, right! With so many possible hiding spots and so many high speed muggle, I was just about ready to give up. I decided to check the treasure phone one last time and I put my hand straight on it. Thanks Mr Router.

This was our last for the day and with plans for finishing up at the local for a nice well deserved cold drink. Anyhow Mrs Stilllookin nabbed this one in the blink of an eye. Mr stilllookin can remember coming here many times as a little lad for a family picnic and plenty of swimming. That would be difficult getting little more than a big toe wet at the moment though.
The wording said "Should be easy" and it was. Used the force and it took me straight to it.
Thanks again Routers

What a great spot to stop and cool down or just have a rest. Unfortunately time was against us so we'll have to settle for the air conditioner in the car. The GPSr led us straight to the cache although we had guessed the location 20 metres earlier.
Thanks Scenic Routers for showing us another great location that we would have otherwise driven straight past

We had just finished lunch at the O'Connell Pub...yum yum and this was the last one on the list for today.
We found the cache after stuffing ourselves full of nectarines on the nearby tree, then went and dipped our feet in the creek.
A bit further down at Burrow's (??) Crossing we got the commodore bogged. On our next trip, i think we might put a cache there to share our hilariously funny story.
Thanks Guys

Stopped in this great spot for lunch and a cache. Watched a few locals enjoying a swim.
Easy find (as long as you love spiders). Never been down that road that far, so nice trip, thanks
Nice hide. Unfortunately the container was too small to leave the TB who would have loved to visit here.

Delightful spot - though cold today and would be much nicer on a warm day. Coords were spot on. Thanks Scenic Routers.
2nd for the day, was a Routerfest today
There was a dead skippy nearby, but found with ease, the placement and cache type was to become a familar theme for the day.
Thwe river was flowing full and fast today

Looked high, looked low, nearly gave up when the hand went into a little hole and out came Fish! (Mental note to self: Trust the GPS!)
Hi Scenic Routers. Another great spot. Took a bit of finding. To cold for a swim. Had a lovely counter lunch at the O'Connell pub,
Don’t know about fish but we saw a fox that ran under the bridge in front of us, stopped had a squiz, then ran off. Something about fox on the run rings a bell but I can’t quite remember, I think I must have had too much Sherbet maybe after a cup of cocoa I will remember.
