A once great cache has fallen into disrepair, alas. Time for the Last Rites for this one. In Domine Patris, et fili, et spiritu sante, amen.
Could not find anything here, although we had quite a good look around. Now we've come back and looked at the logs, it seems we are not the only ones to come up empty handed lately.
We have gone back several times to look for it but can't seem to find anything. Are you sure it is still there?
Went down this afternoon with a friend and fellow student for a break from working on our Honours projects, but failed to find despite the hint. Nice day anyway.
Had a good look to no avail but being Easter Sunday too many muggles around hope it is still there will look again amongst the rubbish.
DNF. We looked all over and even consulted the hint. Thought we looked everywhere.
Beautiful building - loved it. We checked out the architecture more than was necessary to avoid suspicious muggles as we tried to find the cache. Re-read the notes and then an easy find was achieved, again while admiring the building. TFTC.
We had to be very carefully because on the other side of the street were a lot of people.

Missed out on this one despite a significant amount of time spent searching around in the region. This should have been a quick find with the information given in the hint but no luck.
PS - I pass this spot fairly frequently and searched again a few weeks later and yet again several times after that with still no luck. At some stage all the agapanthus plants in the area were trimmed and although there would still have been places to hide a cache there was no sign of anything. Given the amount of other DNFs logged, I can only conclude that the cache has disappeared and would recommend that it be checked out and the appropriate action taken.

Used to play the organ here. Nice to be back. Easy find, although the coordinates suggested the carpark on the other side of the little road. Hint helped me through.
We are on holiday from Scotland. Tried this first when everyone was coming out of church, so left it until the afternoon when it was muggle-free. Found it easily enough, and TNLN thanks.

GPS was useless, readings all over the place. Very well hidden cache eventually found after using the clue. Initially we were looking for the wrong type of container.

AHA! YES! GOT IT THIRD TIME ROUND!
Can't believe how silly it was of me not to get it first time!
As others have said; GPS is alright, clue helps a little.

Cheers,

Gps was a tad all over the show here, don't think the buildings surrounding the area were helping. Easy enough find using the hint. Wonderful building, glad you brought us to it. TFTC
Found late-ish on a Thursday evening, with still some muggle activity around.
Had to look for this one for quite a while, as the GPSr had me in quite a different zone, despite apparently good accuracy. The hints helped a little in the end.

Finally took a few moments to find it along with nzfatmatt as we were walking back to Kelburn. Neat cache - cheers!
Have been past this cache many times on previous visits, but never able to take time to find it. Great hide! TFTC.
Located the area but there were workers around, who weren't moving anywhere fast. Will return soon.
19:38 Came here at lunch time but this is a much easier time to find the treasure. Great church nearby as well . TNLN. Thanks for the cache.
Had my daughter with me, after much walking on the day, we were at the right place but didn't locate the cache. ohh woe is me.. I've lost the touch. Have to try again next visit to the capital
beautiful cathedral! [^]
this was the choice place we celebrated love angel's 1st birthday yesterday (without knowing a cache was here!!)
tricky hide!
pathseeker almost missed it.. but retrieved with joy!

On first search I had no luck so I rushed off to move my car to a real carpark and came back for a second sweep. Found easily on the second sweep.
2nd attempt at this one - the rain and lack of light helped me in this find ...

Had to hang around for a while and wait for vagrant muggle to finish searching bins and generally stagger around with his beer!

Yay! 2nd visit here with my mate MBC. Didn't find first time due to high muggle count. Did this at about 11:15pm.
A few drunks around and a guy trying to see how far a supermarket trolly will go down the street. Lucky it hit the traffic lights b4 hitting cars.
This was one of the more tricky finds but glad to nobble it. Just around the corner from our WLG office. Down here from AKL doing a VOIP system setup.

Nice one, neat old church, took a couple of goes before I found it mugger free. TFTC
Second cache find...under her watchful eye. Thanks for the Cache, took nothing and left nothing. Pipnz
At last I have found this! This cache is the first one I ever went looking for but since I first went looking for it in May it, I have found seven others. This is the fourth time I have returned to look, determined that this time I would not leave until I put my fingers on the cache. Even tonight it took me three goes in the same spot to put my fingers on it.
I would like to thank the person who sent me to look for this cache as a way of learning how to use a GPS receiver and in the process got me hooked. Ethereal atlas you got me!
TFTH it was certainly worth it!

Relatively easy find-was a bit disheartened when we found a small stub of pencil though-thought it must of been muggled, but no-it was there-TFTC

Only a quick look at the end of a long day. Thought we had looked around all the steps.
Found it! and got to say we had looked in the same place many times before! So a tricky one! Summer period it wasn't there for us. A & B very happy to make a 'easy as' find today.
Finally!! Came here a number of times over the summer to look for this, but it took a return visit during my break to get this in the end. Not hidden where I expected. Thanks for the cache.
Great hiding place, and I like the hint!
Quite difficult to find, but that's part of the fun!

Second time lucky.Signal was all over the place -maybe reflection from buildings- but no muggles, so time to look properly. Success! TNLN, SL. TFTC.
We first looked for this one 6 months ago, but no joy. Had an opportunity today to have another go and finally found it at last. Met up with Geogeokiwi who were about to search for their 2nd time too, so hope they found it! TFTC
Decide to have a second go for this one after success with 4 others today. Bumped into J'N'K who were looking very suspicious. Let them find then re-hide while we averted our eyes. + NZ 2cent coin & transistor, - Dime. TFTC
Finally found it on the third try! The first time it was at night and was raining, the second time was too rushed, this time was just right. Middle of the day, sun shining, we found this one with a big group of non-geocachers who I'm slowly but surely getting them excited about this whole thing! TFTC!
Finally found it 1.5 years after we first looked for it. Less muggles & light rain helped us to locate it rather quickly! Hint put us off a bit last time.
It was in the first place I looked, but it took three looks in that place to find. First trip here was a disaster seemed to be a constant stream of muggles, on site for 25 minutes, 5 sorting a problem at work, 5 searching, and 15 waiting for muggles to pass. Gave up went for dinner and returned 1 1/2 hours later. Found within 2 minutes on the second visit. Guess its a question of timing.

Couldn't get a GPS fix; muggles were curious so we moved on.
Dispite some trepidation after reading previous logs we located this one fairly easily. Thanks for the great clues. They were spot on. Had to time our grab between muggles.
didn't find it this time, have in the past with RadioNut50, couldn't get past the large group of muggles standing around it...
I was strolling down town and happened across a suspicious looking character. All the signs were there; the confused look, the 'is anybody watching me' stance and a slightly shifty gaze. Instantly I knew! Another geocacher. OK, maybe the laptop and the GPS were hints but I'll swear in court that it was her suspicious demeanour!
This was my first geocache without leaving the house to go geocaching. Once we put our heads together and she put her in hand in unusual places (well known for their geocaching usefulness) we found the cache, signed the log and chatted about geocaching in New Zealand. If all the other geocachers are half as nice, I'm really going to enjoy geocaching here!
The building the cache is attached to is impression and I can't wait to have a look around properly in the future. TFTC. TNLN.

I must admit I was nervous to attepmt this one having heard about all the DNFs!
I was put off at first by the fact my GPS told me the location was where a small building USED to be (I think I need a recalibration!) but I sorted that out pretty quick!
Early Sunday morning was a great time to be here and I was sprung trying to look nonchalant by a fellow geocacher! How did she know I was geocaching?! (maybe it was the laptop in my hand, or the casual leaning against the barrier stance or the GPS slung around my neck! *giggles*)
She hadn't attempted this one either so we combined our efforts and seriously, it really wasn't hard! (well once my new friend had pointed out I was totally on the wrong side *blushes*)

Visited the spot, but it's currently a construction site -barrier tape, trucks, stacks of timber, hard hats, the whole menu. Could still be worth a try after working hours.
Well, after two previous attempts at this one I decided I needed a Secret Weapon: Tardis Chick (youngest daughter and gifted cache seeker). Sure enough, we were there less than 2 minutes and she piped up with the usual "found it" call. Nice one indeed! TFTC!

dug around in wellingtons dirtyiest garden to no avail... I did however lve the poem about Mary (following art makes me feel like I'm part of the Da Vinci code) very cool spot by the old church to.
Found the spot, read the clue and are pretty sure we had it right, but never got the cache. Being late Sunday afternoon this was never going to be easy. Had to abandon the search because we had hung around a little too long and were getting muggle attention from the top of the stairs (looked like the "Boss" was watching us). Maybe next trip to Wellington?
Late late this evening we decided to have a look for this cache - well muggles where still about - but we found tucked in the garden two full bottles of 'KGB' Vodka ( a nice treasure) so this made up for not finding it! LOL A&B - we will be back!
Didn't find it and we didn't get time to go back and have another look. There was a lot of rubbish and I didn't like to delve too deeply because of that. There were also the construction workers nearby.
Found this one together with hixxx after a hard and systematic search.

I had made two previous visits looking for this one with no success, there are always muggles about so have never been able to do a proper search. Had pretty much put this on my "ignore it" list. However we were in town today and in a moment of crazed recklessness decided to give it another go. Well glory be there it was, and I had searched that area before, obviously not well enough. Very happy with the find.

We found the likely spot but were absolutely surrounded by construction workers including several who were eating their lunch on the steps making it impossible for us to search. Will try and return at another time.
Quite a bit of rubbish around this spot. Didn't fancy filtering through it. Did enjoy the walk to the church. Service on when we were there.
like the previous cachers this one was not found ... lots of rubbish around ...
It appears that this cache has been muggled. Found lots of trash, but no cache. Other micro's in the area have received lots of logs in December, but not this one. Oreophile
Our only disappointment for the afternoon, found 6 other caches but this one has eluded us. Lots of muggles made it hard and so much rubbish! Will have to try again another day.

Yay #50 find!
Found...eventually after at least a 10 minute search of the actual location, still can't believe I didn't find it sooner as I kept going over the same area again and again.
Used the clue and some slightly higher inspiration helped.
Used GPSMap76CSx to obtain a 5 satellite fix of +/- 4M of S41° 17.343' E174° 46.473'

The waypoint led me to a spot across the street, which after a reasonable search had me reaching for the clue. The clue was good, but still no joy at that spot after some searching. then the muggles started to arrive in droves.... I'll have to try again another time! It really is a gothic treasure!
Got right to the spot but too many muggles and didn't have the time to return when quieter.

Uh oh!! Another cache I visit has what looks very like a cache container on the ground right at GZ!! Builder-muggles all around, but excellent hints told me the right spot. But no cache in the obvious hiding spots - just an empty container on the ground. Has it gone - or was I just not clever enough??
Good find, thanks to the business person's good spotting. The team is performing well and starting to think about a calling card of some sort and maybe a cache or two of our own...
11.15am. Busy place, quick find once we got our left and right sorted!! Had to keep an eye on the construction workers close by so they didn't see the retrieve.

Found on the night of my wifes significant-decade birthday whilst we waited for the effects of the celebration bottle of wine to dissapate b4 driving home. I had had a tentaive poke around during the day about a month before, but been scared off by the foot traffic. Laughingly easy this time, took about 30 seconds to find!

Not sure if I was in a rush or just blind but I couldn't find this one! I'll try again another day.
1209, being Good Friday we though we'd have a muggle situation at this one, but surprisingly quiet. Found the cache fairly easily, must be one of the few non-micro caches (meaning compared to the very small ones we did earlier in the day that don't have room for anything this one is at least big enough for a pencil and paper)in the city. The clue points you to the spot exactly!! TNLN

I did this cache in the evening after flight from home, and dinner with Gencuster, it is all the more interesting when you do a cache with someone who has already completed...the challenge feels even greater..when you are so close. I would not like to attempt this during the day the muggle factor is very high. TFTC
A quick visit, as we headed up the CBD area, looking for coffee. Nil +/-. What a little treasure surrounded by all that commerce.
Shouldn't have tried this one before Mass with all the people arriving over a 20 minute period. Had a bit of a look but ran out of time. Have to try on another visit to Wellington.
Needed the hints for this one. GPS was way off, but we found it in the end.
On a business trip to Wellington - and a quick circle of caching through the CBD. Tried for this one before on another day trip, but the pouring rain drove me away. This time it was a mild autumn evening, and dark enough to have no muggle problems. Working with Callum & Brenda, we found it with the clue, as the GPS pointed a little away from the spot. Great building, thanks for bringing us here, this time on a fine day! Swapped an old NZ shilling for a UK coin.
