This evening after work, I had arranged with a few other Geocachers, brisal5, gridge98, and weredunn4, to target an old Zytheran cache in Belair National Park. gridge98 and I were only there within the last week, but this time, we were much more prepared, and had also brought some past experience (namely weredunn4 who was the last finder there). While I was around the area, I managed to find a few more traditional cache types towards that side of the park, and so once it started getting dark, I headed home.

This was another oldie 09/2005 hidden cache, that was nice to have found. It certainly still took a bit of searching, and hidden away. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Lead 'n Lace for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

17-Feb-20
This morning I decided to go for a walk around Belair collecting some caches since the weather was so nice and wasn’t too hot.

Parked and made the short walk down the track to this one, after searching all over the rocks the cache was found nicely tucked away
Thanks for the cache

It’s still there! All in good condition except the zip lock bag for the log book is split. Tftc

Pleasantly surprised to find a track almost straight to this cache from the waterfall. Although it's only really trickling at the moment.

First day of annual leave (and not on call), so I decided to clean up a few old caches that have been non-yellow for far too long.

My last find, and my second L 'n L for the day. Absolutely loved GZ, which was easily the highlight of this outing. Thanks for bringing me to this fantastic spot. Cache is in good condition.

This was the find number 6 of 6 for the afternoon for me, TFTC Lead 'n Lace!

Had just got cache for the day nearby and saw this one not that far away so decided while it was still lunchtime that another walk woujld be nice. Parked on the roadway outside and wandered down the track. As I approached GZ I was reading the cache notes and my heart sank when I got to GZ. ROCKS...

I Hate Rocks...I hate rocks... I hate rocks...I HATE ROCKS...I HATE rocks...I hate ROCKS. I Hate Rocks...I hate rocks... I hate rocks...I HATE ROCKS...I HATE rocks...I hate ROCKS.
Wandered round for waaaaaay too long poking and prodding all sorts of places until I poked in just the right place and there was the cache. GPS wasn't my friend either. First it was there. Then over the other way. Then back there. Then over in the opposite direction. Then back there again. And it was back there again that the cache was actually found. Signed log and replaced.
Was fun even if it was frustrating.
Gratias pro cache Lead 'n Lace.

Great rocky spot. Took 5 mins to hunt for the container...well hidden! Our last cache for the afternoon before picking up geo-daughter from tennis practice. Great views of the city. TFTC.

Searched for quite a while, wonder if it has been moved as a photo posted by earlier user doesn't match what we saw today.

Whilst Mrs y'stassie headed further into the park for another cache, Mr y'stassie attempted two caches closer to the road. This was one of them. Despite reasonably accurate coordinates and the hint, it took many minutes to locate the cache because of the very many possible hiding spots in the area. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Lead 'n Lace for the cache. We also left The BatKey in the cache.

For it's rating this cache had me searching. First attempt was for approx 20mins then no luck so I ran of to "take the strain GCQXDG" Almost sunset by the time I get back so I say to myself give it one more crack. Searching with the torch on my I phone. My phone had me about 2m above the cache in altitude. Right on the point of give up I spot the cache in it's hiding spot well camouflaged by the band's camo. Nice to do a bit of caching after having along break. My friend spotted this one and I have to admit that holding a gps only makes you more blind. Found while doing a glorious tour of the scrub and admiring the tiny waterfalls.

Free entry to Belair National Park so we made the most by having a great family day hiking up to the 2 waterfalls. The track was long but the views were fantastic.

09-Apr-15
Found on the way home from a medical appointment. Wasn't wear the best clothes or shoes for the trek. Next time I should really think about the value of doing a cache in my work clothes. Fortunately, the heels were not so high today.

It took us longer to find the kid than the actual cache itself. I cursed as it flew off in an unknown direction and wondered how we were going to get ourselves out of the pickle, particularly given we had no replacement and the sun was going down. Thanks to mr three we finally found it ten minutes later.

Thanks for bringing us here to celebrate our 500th.

Enjoyed the drive to get to this cache. The walk was beaut as it had rained in the morning. Nice and fresh! Love the rocks and saw many with 'Liesegang Rings'. Definitely took a few photos too. Took Buzz Lightyear and left Dinosaur. Number 2 of 3 for the day. Cheers.

I timed this one well given the recent concert at Adelaide Oval Big Grin.

Another lunchtime trip up the hill to fill the caching calendar. Found a park nearby and there was a nice "hole" in the fence in a direct line to GZ. Arrived at the rocky outcrop and had flashbacks to the two unsuccessful visits I have made to "KHUMBU GLACIER REVISITED" so far. I was tormented by dreadful sat lock, with the arrow jumping around all over the place and after twenty or so minutes I was ready to give up. Finally placed the GPSr down and "really" looked around. At last I finally spied a flash of black amongst the rocks. Smile.

(Don't you hate reading through the previous logs when people are saying "A quick find ...." when you are scrambling about with no clue whatsoever!)

Thanks Lead 'n Lace!

PS I'll find that "X marks the spot" at the "glacier"soon hopefully!

I went for my early morning mountain bike ride even earlier today as I wanted to get 5 caches in the Belair National Park before it got too hot. As it was it took me just over 1/2 and 2 steep hills to ride up before I hit the trail head on Sheoak Rd. It was just a short ride to GZ, but then I spent more time than what I should have before I found this nicely hidden cache. TNLNSL, TFTC.
From here I headed down hill to get the rest of my planned caches, this is a great area for riding and there wasn't even a sign saying 'No Bicycles Allowed' at the trail head which is a bonus.

Rolling stones don't gather any moss. These stones are many and stationary and the moss is present. Theory proven!! As for the cache, hiding spots galore but if you approach from the right direction the cache will be found.............but what is the right direction? Think carefully! TFTC Lead n Lace.
