NO find since September 2014 and no apparent owner response to NM log from March 2015. Is it really worth persevering with.
Did not find. Pretty sure we found where it was supposed to be. Looks to be muggled.
Had a look for about 10 minutes, but then gave it away.....
Probably needs to be checked.
Probably needs to be checked.
No luck for us today. Searched thoroughly through the prickles, but not thoroughly enough it seems. Passing through the area on a trip from Canada. Even with a DNF, it was a beautiful and peaceful place to take a walk.
3534. Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1245 on the drive back towards The Rock after a visit to Grenfell. We have been here now 4 times to try and find this cache. The first time was back in 2006 on a drive to Bathurst. We have stopped for a look on other occasions but have missed out every time with just the allergic reaction to the conifers. Today that all changed and we were able to SL. The container has been severely chewed by a rodent and is now letting in the moisture, log dry in plastic bag but contents wet. Finally we can Tnx The Sundowners
This cache has to go on my favourite list as I just love the bronze horse. I have been here several times just to admire it and today was no exception less points for the prickly bushes but worth it TFTC The Sundowners
Even though it was getting late in the day the reflections in the pool were magnificent. Nice hide. TFTC The Sundowners.
again, as easy as pi.Placed it on rock under rock, unlike the last person. Plastic container is being gnawed by local antichines;new paper would be good. No GPS other than Googlemaps & my well-honed ability to read them.
Took a trip to Boorowa to catch up with my sisters and mum. These gardens are an oasis, loved them. It helped that there was a cache there. TFTC
A lovely day for geocaching. We found it- by we I mean our much younger cousin with much keener eyes.
Container needs replacing. Looks good at first glance but the plastic has been mysteriously scraped on the bottom making some holes. With a bit of rain things will get wet inside.
After a long hard day of work outside Young I needed a break and this tranquil garden was just the tonic I needed late in the day. A few muggles in the car park and picnic areas but no one disturbed me as I crossed the beautiful bridge to the Chinese gardens. Circled around to GZ where I searched every spot (some spiky plants there!) until I came back to where I started and found it. Sat on a bench to sign as muggles with dogs came by. Was able to replace without anyone noticing.
Great spot, would never have visited etc...
Thanks!

Thanks!
What a magical place. The other visitors were leaving as we crossed the bridge so we had the garden to ourselves - perhaps the best way to appreciate the ambience. Also just as well because we had to search for a while before the cache was found. If it was not for the cache we would probably not have come here so this is worth a favourite for the beautiful location alone. TFTC.
1619. We searched for a fair time then finally found the container, not in the spot indicated by the hint signed the log at 8am and replaced, This is a magic peaceful place !!
The Sundowners - TFTC and bringing us here to see this !
And a fav point for you Too.

We have tried on three separate occasions to find this cache. We are admitting defeat and walking away with many scratches and spikes endured.
Yay cartwheel flipped drunk into a river naked n found the treasure Ben Dunklin Amy hall Isaac Moore Rachael Brooker! Workfest 2013 took frog replaced with starfish
Tftc lovely spot sooo quiet took a while coords a little out but got it eventually NO Geocoin in it ( wish peeps would log found) never mind
Catching up on old finds, not sure when it was, but it took a long time to locate even with geo wife and two geo kids helping
What a great spot! Never knew this was here. Fairly quiet here before lunch so had a good look around. Cache took a little while to find as it wasn't where expected (close though). The bottom of the container looks like it has been eaten by ants so is probably not waterproof.
Thanks
Thanks
It took awhile but we managed to find it :3 lots of fun and being a first timer made it better
Found this cache while in the area. This is such a magic place, so calm and tranquil. At first (after reading the previous logs) thought this is a no go. but still wanted to have a walk around the gardens.
Was about to leave after hunting for awhile and decided to have one more look.
Yah there it was.
Thanks The Sundowners for bringing us to this delightful place.

What a truly beautiful area this is. This is what caching is all about for us - finding special areas you wouldn't otherwise know existed.
Unfortunately we didn't find the cache. We looked along the rock edge and under the very prickly cypresses for quite a length and time, and did find a spot which matched the clues perfectly, but no cache in sight.
Thanks so much Sundowners for bringing us here. Sorry to report a DNF, but logging a favourite anyway.

I can't believe it. After all these years I finally cleared this DNF. In the dark too. Cheers, thanks for bringing me back here. SL took geocoin. TFTC
Wow this one was tough! The cache had natural protection that left us marked and itchy. Not sure if the cache was in the right spot as the clue didn't quite fit but we eventually came up with the prize. Lovely surroundings. TFTC.
Took a friend to find this cache as I have found this one before. Cache has either been moved or removed
In Young for an overnight stay, so hunted around town for the caches.
This had to be my favourit in town so a point is awarded.
I was surprised when we pulled up at the location, its really lovely, spent some time looking around.

This was the best geocache location of the day and would never have known it was here. Favourite point from us. TFTC
Searched for a little while and came away with the goods! What are truly beautiful place
# 2579. After 3 weeks of travelling our holiday is about to end. Robmc and I are heading to Beechworth today from Bathurst.
This is my favourite spot in Young - found on my first visit to find a cache, probably late last year or early this year. At the time the Gardens were blocked off with workmen working on the beautiful red gate entrance behind the lions. Each time I passed through on the way north I would detour in here for lunch and the serenity.
Today we came for lunch and a first wander through the magnficent gardens. They are lovely. I took several photos and then we found the cache before returning to the other side for lunch in the rain. It was good timing as suddenly a busload of muggles arrived to enjoy it too. Thanks for bringing these gardens to the notice of the caching fraternity. TNLN TFTC.

Bathurst to Beechworth, the trip home with Bettyboo3747
Great park. Bettyboo suggested this park for lunch, but didn't mention the lovely Chinese gardens.
We walked around and took a few snaps before having lunch on the other side.
Thanks, Robmc.

TaurusSix and I agreed that this was a really nice place to have lunch. Found the cache after a few minutes searching. Then we explored the very photogenic gardens.
Travel Case Geocoin (TB31MAZ) hasn't been seen since 2 May 2011 when GKachers placed it in Chinese Reflections, and on 28 May 2011 wbfoto wrote "...no TBs in there....". The cache owner needs to mark it as missing.
WanderingAus wandered by on day 114 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip, making our way from Darwin towards Perth via Mount Isa, Townsville, Emerald, Goondiwindi, Gunnedah, Young and Wentworth.
Knowing that the WanderingMrs wanted to visit the gardens I chose this cache to be my 5,100th find. The gardens are very impressive and worthy of a visit even without the presence of a cache, but the cache was the cream on the pie.
As we walked around I guessed where the cache must be, and made a very quick and easy GAFF 0 find on my third probe.
My Groundspeak find No 2,860, overall find No 5,100, L Special 5,100th Find Calling Card (a collectors item, see attached photo), TNLNSL, dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC, my WanderingAus GeoMobile TB and a couple of other travellers in for a visit before grabbing them back again.

1078. The daughter, horse, pup and I were at the horsey event at Harden for the weekend and I found a spare hour or two, so ducked away for my daily fix.
Arrived at the park and had a lovely stroll around a very pretty location. invested a good 15 minutes looking, looking, looking, before I found what I was searching for. Happy to blame a wandering iPhone. TFTC.

Thanks for replacing this cache. We have had it on the radar for a while and discussed the other day about replacing it as well.
A little bit of stealth was required today, but we found it quickly, signed the log and waited for the muggles to disappear to return to its spot. TFTC

Cache has been restored. Was unable to retrieve the original cache so a new one has been created.
Replacing the cache today. Original couldn't be retrieved so a new cache has been created.
Doesn't look like it's been replaced yet, and no note to say it has.
Is a lovely place though.

What a beautiful spot, so glad we get to come back again to find the cache next time!
This cache has been removed by council workers but I know one of them and in the next couple of weeks it will be replaced and it's a great place to visit
DNF for us, this cache is definitely gone after searched everywhere by 3 geofriends, please archive this cache because of pervious logs was DNFs... please advice for this... thanks
2nd attempt at this one and like others found the spot described in clue, but no sign of the lollies. Will keep an eye out and have another crack next time through Thanks Sundowners for the chance to visit this beautiful park.
The gardens looked a bit neglected and some damage by the usual town idiots - but lots of blossoms made up for it. Just as well as we couldn't find the cache - but enjoyed the visit anyway - logging a Waymark as a consolation prize. TFTC 2BluFish
WHAT BEAUTIFUL SPOT TO HAVE LUNCH. SEARCHED IN WHAT LOOKED TO BE THE RIGHT AREA BUT NO LUCK.
I am pretty certain I found the spot described in the clue however it appears to have gone again.

took a bit longer to find than expected. but all ok in the end. no TBs in there....thank you
Intersting place we would never have found had it not been for caching. Many thanks for taking us there and for the well hidden cache.
Lovely place and very peaceful this morning. The blood on the cache guardian is mine. TFTC
Stopped in on our trip from NZ to see family in nearby grenfell. Lovely spot we had never been too before. Cache was prickly but coords were perfect and it was found quite quickly. Dropped in GC. Tftc.
Going home at last - Brisbane to Melbourne - Day 5 of 6 - Cache 20 of 26
We decided to tackle this cache before heading out of Young to Temora and were pleasantly surprised when these lovely gardens unfolded before us. After locating the cache and scribbling our names in the log we wandered around the gardens and enjoyed having them pretty much to ourselves. We've been to Young a few times over the past few years, mostly as an overnight stop enroute to somewhere else, and never expected to see something like these here. Thanks to the cache (and 'The Sundowners') for bringing us here!
