Such a pity that this one has been archived when all that would be needed are a couple of waypoints replaced. After arriving at the newly acquired correct final GZ with Muggle Mrs. and Geo pooch, we were surprised that this was the same GZ we had been searching some time ago with a group assault. The only difference this time around was that we did not check in that particular hidey hole. Sure enough the cache was there, all in good condition after all this time with plenty of room left in the log book to boot. Hopefully the CO will re consider his decision to archive and bring it back to life once more. TFTC Nibs.
Turns out it can't be changed from a multi to a traditional, so it looks like it's time for this one to be put to bed after 11 years.
It would appear that the objects used to determine waypoints in two locations have not stood the test of time. 11 years is just too much time for nothing to have changed.
I've disabled it but I'm away in the county and won't be able to attempt to this before mid-late November. Might just be time to retire it, methinks.

Our yet another attempt at this one 12 months since our last. with our previous workings out well and truly lost in the realms of paperwork (scraps of paper) it was back to the starting location to start from scratch. Unfortunately the numbers that we had originally written down were no longer there but fortunately we knew where the next set of information was. Off to find the details needed there but alas, the powers of beautification have been. The graffitti removal teams. Much information has been painted over so another fail Returning to try and salvage via a calculator what little information we now had was pretty much useless. Looks like an e-mail to the CO might be the only option
Bonza! Went out today and found the correct cache. It appears we found the red herring cache in April. What a bugger! But hey, we have now signed the proper log. As I said back in April "Yep it's definitely there and found quickly. TFTC!"
TFTC Nibs!
TFTC Nibs!
Yes! I finally found it!
I did confer with Nibs to make sure I had the coords correct, last year.
After finding a fake cache I went home empty handed. This lead to the previous find by Matty.
I have since removed the fake cache.
You don't have to be religious, but you may find yourself on your knees in prayer and needing faith as you plunge your arm elbow deep into the log to find the cache.
TFTC. Definitely will get a favourite point when I get more. Beautiful day for a stroll today.

So the geopup and I needed a daily cache (or six)...
Up pops a facebook post about this one that evaded someone, but they found another where it was meant to be.
Seems some people had a problem finding it in the past too!
Not too far away,

The first few steps went well (although the phone number on all the other signs I saw had been changed, this one appeared ok), and soon was off to the next waypoint. Yes, I've heard of Magill, but what on earth is a Mibsy ? Is it like a Nibsy, or what.... googling Mibsy provided a possible clue, although it really wasn't much help. So I picked the best looking number I could find! Serious maths led me to coordinates for the final location and off I went with trusty pup minion.
A tree, with hollow bits, and a nice bench! Such potential. [8)]
Nup. [:(!]
So I sat there with pup and stared at my scraps of paper and the questionable number.
Figured my south was right, so drew an imaginary line through the park
Tried some alternative numbers and came up with a plan (search every log in the park, but maybe start with ones under that tree just there because geosenses tingled).
And searching just there, I found a cache the wrong cache
A neat little black container with a cache name Lego2015, sadly wasn't a geocaching.com cache (but may well be on another site like GCA, must check later. The wrong log here had Shaido (yesterday), gongbeater back in April, and someone called Ryan. I added my name for good luck, why not, but realised this wasn't the cache I was looking for.
So...
Am I in the wrong place? No. Someone looking before me had checked coords with CO and came upon the Lego cache, so the coords now must be right!
So poked my paws in every possible log hole in sight, and made a few more.
Still no luck. [:(!]
Then, much to bored geopup's disgust, I kept looking. Widened search and combed every bit of possible GZ I could fins.
There's a hole... Big enough for something to live in! Carefully takes photos with phone down hole and makes sure there's no resident animal about to bite me. Luckily not. Geopup gets a bit more interested as I reach in and remove some cover and yes, Yes, YES, a cache! A nice big cache. Not a mint tin!!!!!
Quick flick through the logs was an interesting selection of familiar geonames, with the last log signature being FelixII back on 1/5/2014, some 19 months ago [8)]
Happy to let this cache get some fresh air and light briefly, and add my name to the rogues gallery of successful cachers.
DT 1.5/1.5, I'd have to agree I guess, at least for the terrain! There's maths involved, that always ups my difficulty
So Mr Tardis was right - you don't need glasses - just stubborn persistence and cache sense
Very satisfying find. And nice to find a ten year old cache too. Have a fav point for still being there

After messing around trying to get the right coordinates (and with confirmation) I set off to find the cache in question. The park was largely muggle free today and the recent storms had cooled things off a bit.
I did, in fact, find a cache where the hint suggested but it wasn't the right one.
That doesn't mean that the proper cache isn't there, it just means that I didn't find it.
Better luck next time.

Well you should all "hang your heads in shame", as suggested by Tardis Trio. Went there to check it today and found it sitting safe and sound at GZ exactly where I put it and where it's remained these last 10 years.
Granted the area of GZ has changed a bit over that time, but the tree is still there; the kikuyu is still there - and the feature mentioned in the hint is still there! In fact it's easier than ever to find, as the paint on the lid has flaked off and peering in revealed the nice blue lid staring at me.
Although 12 went looking for it, how many actually did the maths?? Perhaps that's where it went pear shaped?
I'm deleting the "needs maintenance" log, BTW.

Well after the vociferous reports of it being unable to be found, I guess I'd better go check it out.
This is something that I am less than keen to do, as I know it's a VERY well hidden cache, painted black, inside a small hollow log covered by kikuyu lawn. The lawn has gone nuts in the 10 years that the cache has been sitting there, and every maintenance run I have done on it has revealed it safe in its little hideaway every time.
But I shall have a look .

A large group wandered over from the Event to grab this one. No joy after a very long search!!
A group assault from nearby event celebrating McKee 5,000 cache find.
We though we may have more luck finding this cache with a cacher who could point us in the direction.
Alas, we had no luck even with ten sets of eyes completing a sweep with various sticks.
Thanks for the hide Nibs.

Quite a few of us searched for some time, but no joy. Owner may need to check it out.
Just another entry letting the CO know that is was not found, with all these eyes searching and a previous finder, no luck
Adding another DNF to the list. If it is there then the 12 of us should hang our heads in shame We even had a previous finder with us, but her memory was failing a bit.
On our tour of Australia via Oz Mega we are currently staying at Highway 1 Caravan Park.
We attempted this cache a few days ago but somehow got the numbers wrong as the location we searched did not match any of the previous descriptions. We forgot all about it until last night when we found our notes and emailed the CO and asked for some guidance.
Thank you so much for a quick response, less than 5 minutes.
So the mission was set to return and try again. GZ looked far more promising but it took ages to search. We were indeed about to call it quits again.[xx(] 4 months since this cache was last found. hmmm okay so whats the info we have gleaned from logs and the hint. hmmm
Back in dived Mr Felix BINGO came the cry! Thank goodness for that. cache located.
The weather was really threatening to rain but held off till after dinner time.

Had to put the car in for a service, so did a bit of mountain bike caching while waiting.
Well this took a bit longer than the other 9 I found this morning. Nice tricky little multi. Beautiful park here. Thanks for bringing me here.

Finally got this one of the list after an epic lol took too many visits before I actually got the final coordinates right then came up cold after auzzie convict searched that spot lol got confirmation from the CO that the coordinates were right and a push to look harder we did and found it within seconds today now to revisit the towita tragedy were auzzie convict also searched that spot there lol thanks heaps for the cache nibs really enjoy all the effort you put into these multis because they take you to interesting or scenic locations tftc
Finally got the numbers right and found gz but couldn't find the cache lol the weirdest thing is that some guy in a ute followed us from the initial waypoints to the second parking area! Parked his car across the way then moved his ute in front of our car he got out and hid behind the trees on the hill spying on us? He was walking back to his ute as we were returning to the car and continually looked over his shoulder! Absolute freak so I took pictures of his ute as I walked back to get his rego and another as we drove past making sure he saw me do it auzzie convict felt very uneasy about it all and was worried he'd follow us out of the park! Ill send through the pic I took nibs of the location we searched tftc
Gotcha!
So this was my third visit to this site, this time armed with confirmation from the CO that this was the correct GZ, and more importantly, that neither of the two areas I was searching were correct.
So a much more thorough searching of an area that I had barely given a second glance on my earlier visits was called for. This time, the cache revealed itself. Reluctantly.
Thanks Nibs.
ZZzz..
Fail....
I came. I found a sign. I found evidence of Milsby and Torrens Magil. I found a location that matches the hint.
But I could not find a cache, no matter how hard I looked.
ZZzz..
Well I went and had a look at it, fearing that perhaps they had changed the sign again.
But no, all was as it originally was and the cache is still secure in its hiding spot, so I'm afraid it's a case of simply looking a bit harder.
Though that shouldn't be a problem now, as I've edited the text slightly to hopefully remove any ambiguity or confusion about which is latitude and which is longitude.
Finally, if all else fails I've added a hint that should nail it down pretty tightly. The sat-lock was about 10 metres out when I visited today, but I'm not going to tweak it, as that will mean changing the formula, and I think that would be a bad idea .
There's really only one area that it can be in, so if you do the sums right and use the hint, you can't miss it (but it is well hidden)

DNF unfortunately. It wasn't until I got to what I calculated to be GZ and couldn't find the cache that I checked prior logs and saw that the prior 2 lookers couldn't find it also. Darn, I should've done that before heading off on the hunt. In the fading light of day that encouraged me to stop searching. Now, in the cold light of the next day, after rechecking my figures I see I made and addition error! *#$%# grrrr! Thanks Nibs, not sure when I'll be back in Adelaide but I'll put this on watch list and follow progress.
Well, I did all the calculations, then did some more and ended up at what seemed a likely spot.......but no cache to be seen anywhere. I think this one may be worth a check. Thanks for the stroll, anyway, Nibs
Did the maths but failed miserably lol it just doesn't make sense to me even though I did find the first and second lot of information only one tower has both lots of Information on it so it must be the right one. Projecting from there took me to a tree but no signs of a cache lol hmmm I'm confused as usual hahhahh
On a family picnic took a stroll and found this one. Not usually a fan of multis but it's a good one
Finally! After several visits to do stages, ages spent trying to get sense from the figures, an email to confirm my hopeful coords were incorrect & more mathematics, I finally did a locus cache on this bird's bower!

I seem to have a lot of trouble with these simple information gathering multis. Maybe the part of my brain that I need is off somewhere else being lazy. Anyway, I need a lot of patience and triple checking before I can be happy with the final numbers, usually late at night sipping a beer.
Waltzed into the friendly park this morning after dropping off the ladies to train their dogs at the other end, and, when I got to GZ, picked through the bower bird sized mound. Glad to say it's not under, but in.

Wasn't overly confident whether I was using the right numbers but it all worked out. Had to search around a bit, there were a few places where it could have been hidden. Geowife pointed out the correct spot and after clearing the guards webs and lifting the camo we had it in hand. Excellent cache! Took lizard, left storm trooper keyring. SL TFTC.
Finally found after working through the extensive calculations. At least it was a nice sunny day. TFTC

Finally marked this one off as done. I did waypoint 1 after school with the kids and the park was pretty empty apart from a few shady characters so I decided that we would come back and find GZ on the weekend when the park was buzzing with people. So after a great walk with the family today, we finally found the cache that has been left undisturbed for nearly 6 months - to the next person who finds it, I have done you a favour by clearing out 6 months worth of spider webs!!!!! Thankyou for the cache - I left a bullett travel bug in the hope that it prompts some more caches to come to this lovely spot.
now we have the 100 find trackable we are just getting around to logging it through.
Yay - I love this park, so many memories here, so much fun that you soon forget.
Thanks for the hide.

I finally got the maths correct!!! At one stage, I was walking around in circles to find details for the final waypoint, but eventually, I got myself together, made sure I had all the details and co-ordinates right, and found the cache successfully.

30/05/09 - Thanks, will look again, must have been using my blind eye....
Well I found what I had missed before, as usual, how did I miss that? Worked out the coordinates of GZ. Unfortunately I was being followed in the park by a muggle, who kept following for a little way then he disappeared. On the way to GZ another muggle on a bike was following me, who kept following me past GZ and around the park. Even going off the tracks. Just to see if he was following I made several strange turns and he kept following. I was getting a little paranoid as I was alone so I made a quick dash back to the car, where the first muggle was leaning against his car, next to mine, and didn't look back. I will return, with extra support.
Be careful around here on your own.

Well I got up to the structure and couldn't find any reference to any years. Looks like it has been painted so hopefully it hasn't been painted over.

I made this is into a lovely 3km lunch time walk, by parking further down at the dog park.
Found the initial spot okay, and thankfully the 8digit number is identical on all the signs. Even a nice post to sit on while doing the calculations. A nearby muggle had a petrol r.c car zooming around, and that was fun to watch too.
Headed off to the next waypoint, when I spotted a Kookaburra - haven't seen one for awhile. Unfortunately my jokes couldn't get a laugh out of him. I did manage to get a muggle family nearby to look up, when they saw me looking up.
Found the next WP and set off for GZ. At GZ found one hole, and given the unnatural features in it, thought maybe the cache had gone, but circling GZ I found another spot to check and after some hesitation found the cache.
Signed log and retrieved the TB, otherwise TNLN.
Enjoyed a lovely walk back to the car, with the Kookaburra flying along for a few 100ms. Also enjoyed seeing and hearing many other birds that frequent this park. Great to see the water flowing through the creek too. It made it a lovely experience.
Now logging this, I've enjoyed a hearty laugh seeing Z has done it.

Found this one after some trouble to get the co-ordinants right. A very lovely park, plenty of muggles about walking dogs etc. had to wait till they had passed before we could retrieve the cache. Found it easily enough.

An easy find once i had the maths right. I actually was looking in this location for another multi located close by due to having the wrong maths for that cache.
Visted GC For my Mum I Miss You, as my mum quite likes this park.

At last, and with a little help, I finally managed to getthis one. After many attempts at this the final location was obvious. Can't believe i had missed it so many times. Oh well... thats another one done. My first find in several months. Thanks PG06 and Nibs.

Started this one back when I was a newbie, but alas that was when the sign had gone missing - finally got back to complete it today and enjoyed a lovely stroll around the park, what a perfect day for caching - TFTC
It took me a while before i finally found as
I have no GPS i had to return each time to work out the coordinates and then try to find it on Googleearth but now i finally found it

Looked for this back in February, but our calculations had us in the streets of Elizabeth Vale - heat stroke maybe!?1!?[xx(]
Went back today, with clear minds and worked it out easily.
We liked Mibsy's visit and the geosons had a great run and climb around the park on the way to GZ.[^] (Surprised this hasn't been found since May).
Took Rubik's cube.
Left Stargate magnet & Lenny from the Simpsons.
SL. Thanks Nibs - we enjoyed our walk in the park today.

I never realised just how big this park was, till now
It's huge and I have just walked around half of it. Nice spot today with the passing showers. More than once I had to hide in the lee of a gumtree to avoid getting wet
Took a car and left a pig.

Mumble, Grumble.... grumble some more.
First did this cache on a special dayin April. Except we ran out of time. Did the first two WPs and saved the 3rd. Today went back to do the third and found myself in the middle of a weedy empty patch below power lines!
To make matters much worse I no longer had the sheet or any of the original workings...more grumbling!!!
This will have to wait for another day and plenty of spare time I think! AT least there were no muggles![8)]

I think the greatest joy from this saga is eventually discovering the way in for Harry's park when driving!
The cache location was quickly found this morning but it took a read of the logs to get me to check somewhere I looked initially. I think this cache will survive muggles..

After driving past this every day for 2 years it was time to do it while waiting for the shops to open. Should only take 30 minutes I thought...[:o)]
Found a sort of close park, only 250m to walk. Found the first point, and then the batteries I had just put in died (BTW, Energizer, YOU SUCK, all my NiMH are turning to crud.[:(!])
So I worked out the distance and bearing in my head to the next point but found something similiar but missing one clue. So 400m back to the car and then waste 10 minutes driving a few km trying to get the car closer. Gave up, walk again, then walk a long way further to get what sounds like Winterdragons first location, the path. Check the math, check the math, looks OK. Do a north south leg checking all within 100m but no luck. Walk a long way back to car, all up way over an hour..[8]

A nice walk on a fairly quiet morning. As most people we toured a little more of the park than strictly necessary, but thats part of the fun! It wasn't due to mathematical error, just neglecting to read the instructions correctly.
I can see how this cache could easily get missed in its hiding spot!
On the way back we met a couple of very friendly kookaburra's, we got to approach within 2m of them whilst they swooped and dived to the ground after their food.
TNLN (some good items in there, but didn't have anything equal to swap)

Perfect afternoon to go for a walk. Didn't realise this park was so big. Found the clues, did the maths and searched. Checked the maths - whoops - got it right second time around. (always read the instructions properly).
Thanks for an excuse to go on a lovely walk through a great park.

After confirming with Nibs that I had looked straight at the cache location, I went back with spiderproof glove, intent on verifying that it was MIA. But it was there! I obviously just hadn't looked hard enough . Damn good hide.

Oh Bird of Bower, how did I not find thee? Let me count the ways...
1. First visit found the sign, did the calcs, found the structure at the second waypoint. Did some more calcs and went to the spot to find... it was the middle of a pathway with nothing close by.
2. Went home & redid the maths and found my 2 dumb mistakes.
3. Second visit, went to calculated gz. Muggle on a bike went past. Muggles with dogs dawdled past. Muggles in ute went slowly past several times (or was it a different ute each time?). Too much activity so slunk off & did another cache.
4. Third visit, searched in several dozen "obvious" places. No luck.
Chalk up however many DNF's that is, I'm going to give up on this one until someone confirms whether the cache is still there or not.

Nice day for a stroll in the park, cool breezes making the sun's heat less tiring.
CoOrds spot on, so an easy find after some mental exercise.

Cheers to Nibs for the long overdue exercise to both my body and grey cells!

Good ol' Mibsy aye? Not your usual cache clue, but one that we had a bit of a laugh at. The required number at the listed coords appears on two different signs, so a backup is now available. Found WP2 no problem, but a simple error had our final coords about 163m too far west. Soon sorted that problem out and found the cache in it's obvious little home. This is a really impressive park in it's sheer size and quality of old large trees. Warms the heart to see large places like this saved from the urban developer. No swaps. Thanks Nibs, an enjoyable walk in the park.
A nice walk in the park (there is so much space here) and an easy find. We got the first part of this one a few weeks back, but didnt have time to finish it off, this time we got the job completed. TNLNSL TFTC.

Been a while since we went caching ... How do I turn this yellow thing on again? ... Ahh! First stop WP1 ... What! Toilet stop! Already ... Now off to WP2 ... hmm ... (checking calculations) ... Yep in right place ... Doh! Now off to WP2 ... Hmm ... (checking calculations) ... Oops, forgot to carry the 2 ... Hmm ... (checking calculations) ... Oops, it helps if I add it to the correct decimal minutes ... Ahh found it, and it only took us 2 hrs TN Left rainbow golf practise ball. Thanks Nibs
The council decided to replace the sign that I used at the strat with a brand new set. I have had to adjust the calculations slightly so it still works. I guess you'll let me know if I've missed something?
Alas, Barra's photo confirms that the sign that starts the whole thing off seems to have taken? You just can't trust anybody, these days, can you?? .
I'll investigate and see if I can fix it.

Well, with it being Fathers Day, and all the Barra's were available; I thought it would be the right time to tackle this cache as I had been waiting to do this one for a long time. Lot's of muggles, but that wasn't going to stop us, but what we didn't find did.
The sign appears to be gone from GZ, nothing but a permapine post, and a large bolt on the ground.
Is it gone Mr Nibs?
