I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from, nor action by the cache owner Snuva within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
This cache has been brought to my attention as likely to be missing.
After a string of successful Finds, it has now had a string of DNFs. I agree that this certainly suggests that something has happened at the cache location which requires investigation by the CO.
I am going to Disable it, and I'll check back in 4 weeks to see if I need to take further action if you have not investigated the situation and provided us with an update.
That action will be to Archive it unless there is a reason provided why I should not.
Thanks.

Had a good look around and even help of a very treasure hungry muggle kid showed up nothing. Maybe gone or maybe am blind.
We'll add our names to the list of DNF's. This one could do with a check please
No luck here, we didn't find the cache. But we had a nice hike from Fern Tree via Kunanyi and down to Lenah Valley on a beautiful sunny day after some decent snowfall. As the road was closed, we had the mountain nearly for ourselves as only a few people hiked up, fantastic views! We walked down the Old Hobartians track and passed these ruins.

The GeoGSP were on a bit of a mission this afternoon - find some caches, only just over an hour to spare, we both needed some decent exercise so a little bit of a hill would be good, so the walk to this cache was selected. We passed a lot of muggles and their pooches on the walk up, so many in fact that we didn't get to stop and search for some other caches on the way up this track - which is all good, an excuse to come back. This cache was found nice and easily, and is all nice and dry. Thanks for the cache Snuva.
On another day in the mountains to increase our smilies covering the slopes. Interesting area to locate after a steady climb from the car.

What an awesome little spot. I would love to keep going but I am running out of time. I shall be back another day soon.
A quick easy find after we had a look at the ruins.
Thanks Snuva for the cache

Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
It was lunchtime before we set off with a plan to tackle the New Town Rivulet caches. Mr Felix managed to tackle a few others aswell.
Mr Felix did these 4 caches but really wished he had worn his boots for this part of the hike.

Since myself and Goose were out this way anyway we called in to have a look at GZ and what do you know as we were having a much needed drink of water after coming up the hill I spotted the cache from a distance and confirmed it was in fact there.
So we added our names to the log and replaced the cache with a little more camo so you cant spot it from the path.
We so wished we had search for this before when we were up this way but it felt great to find this after all the DNF's
Thanks for the cache Snuva.

stainless-steel-rat and I were using the track (as we knew it) to get further afield. We stopped here again for a well earned drink of water. Now as the cache was Temporarily Disabled, when we were here 5 weeks ago we didn't bother looking for it. Today SSR spotted it quite easily as we were standing around so it must have been there all along. After adding our names to the log book we added a little more camo. In hindsight maybe it hidden well enough if the DNDs are anything to go by.
Looking forward to reading up on this old hut. TFTC

SSR and I stopped here for a look on our walk today. SSR very dutifully did some CITO.
Called at this one in passing and had a break while we had a bite to eat, didnt look for the cache but did enjoy the ruins.
?? we looked long and hard for this cache, several attempts today with many eyes. Then looked at the log and it hasn't been active for a while so maybe gone??
This was an easy find once at GZ. I wish I had had more of a look around while at the ruins as I an none the wiser.
Cache zombified. Had decided to do the caches up the track to the New Town Falls today . Located this one rather quickly and had the log signed. I love the renovations they had done with the lounge room - that big tree falling through the middle of it makes some sort of designer statement! Tftc.
Today we decided to again walk from the end of Lenah Valley Road and look for caches closer to New Town Rivulet. With cloud hanging over the mountain but clear where we were walking, it was cool with no breeze - really good conditions. Having found "GC4WV61 Bridge To the Rock" we continued up the Lenah Valley Track and it wasn't long before we arrived at the ruins. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and it's contents were in good condition. After researching a little of the history of the hut, we think we understand the reasons for the hut being abandoned and not being maintained. Thanks for the cache Snuva in another interesting location on the mountain.
We were on our way for a FTF further up the track so decided to grab this cache along the way. We searched and searched to no avail so decided to continue on our original quest. On the way back we stopped for another look and were happy to locate the cache quickly this time. TFTC
Our first find my 5yo daughter was very excited about this "treasure " hunt, to a place we have been many times.
Knight no. 2 was determined to get this cache so he decided to head up Lenah valley road with the dogs. He quickly found the cache.
A quick and easy find on a very pleasant walk in the area this morning. Thanks Snuva for the cache.
My first ever geocache find! A fantastic walk to take your dog on. My West Highland White loved it.
I have been saving the walk to this cache and "New Town Falls" for some time now. Then I put it off again because I'm currently not driving and the end of Lenah Valley Road seemed too far away. Today I walked from home (in West Moonah) to the end of Lenah Valley Road, then up the track to this cache and on to "New Town Falls". It was a bit damp with a few showers coming through, but I really enjoyed the walk and finding the caches. Thanks
Found on my way to New Town Falls.
Snuva Thank you very much for bringing me to this spot.
Snuva Thank you very much for bringing me to this spot.
I can remember (vaguely) family picnics down at the ford across Lenah Valley Creek, and find it hard to believe that we didn't ever come up here ... but the scene that greeted me on arrival at GZ was unfamiliar, suggesting that we really hadn't visited before. The ruins are, indeed, a little the worse for wear, but SG-3 found himself a comfy seat and had spotted the cache while I was blithely following an arrow I _knew_ was going to be unreliable. Once I too had spotted the spot, the eldest Marine did the honours of confirming our suspicions, only to find the cache was guarded by a small scorpion, which looked squashed and ex-scorpionish until I tickled it with a stick. Having signed the log we decided we had time to continue on to New Town Falls. Thanks for the cache, Snuva; it gave us an extra incentive to visit this bit of the mountain.
A small rest on the way up the hill to find another cache that has been on the 'to do list' for a while. Use to come up here alot as a kid although had forgotten how good this place was. Took what I thought was a TB, apparently this geocoin is in canberra and all I have is the information. A different coin is listed as in the cache but was no where to be seen. A bit of a mystery to me. (not sure what to do with stuff. any sugestions?) great cache and thanks.
Mr W and Mr T from Tassie Trekkers set off to do Bridges Meeting Black Stump and added a few others while in the area. Thanks for bringing us to an area not visited before.
While we were in the area we found the ruins, but as time has gone on they have slowly deteriorated. Thanks for bringing us here. T.F.T.C.
After 5 easy urban caches I decided to attempt a bit of a hike, despite the rain. Only in town for a few days and I want to see some of Hobart's bush. Very muddy trails, but managed to get up there reasonably quickly - no-one around (no-one mad enough to be hiking in this weather!). Decrypted the clue rather than get completely soaked, and found the cache no worries. There is a bag an info sheet for a geocoin in there, but no coin, so I left it. Thanks for the cache and a nice walk in the damp forest.
Found during a long walk with old saint. Old saint who had found this cache previously allowed me to stop and find this one as we walked past. We had been talking about finding the cache without a clue. Anyway I started my search at the runs and ground zero and had no success. I kept looking at the tree at the end of the clearing thinking that it would be the most likely place for the cache. A quick glance decided that the ruins were best. I decided that since there was no help coming from old saint that I should check the hint, and low and behold the cache was exactly were I thought a good location would be. Should trust my instincts more and not the pointerer. Thank you for the cache, I never knew this location was here.
Hi Snuva
Found this cache and logged it at 1457hrs. Loved the walk to and from with smell of the moist bush in the nostrils, the tinkle of a babbling brook nearby, singing birds in the trees and plenty of fauna to see. A great cache; Thank you and cheers; OldSaint.

The last for the day - it was a really good walk, and a great intro to geocaching. We're all hooked now. Thankyou so much for setting up the caches and for linking them like this
I thought this behind the tree near the ruins (didn't read the clue properly) so we spent some time searching and went on to New Town Falls to search for that one. On return we had another search and this time it didn't take Sue long to locate it. If the clue had not been misread with an important word overlooked we would have found it quite quickly.
Found after an easy walk to the site from the car park. Took/left nothing. Thanks.
A pleasant stroll up the hill, and an easy find. This was intended to be #1 of 3, bur Brains or Brawn turned into a DNF, so I ran out of time to go to New Town Falls.
Another time.
TNLN - Thanks, Snuva

Interpreting a clue, as in this case, will sometimes depend on the direction you come from. Got a bit disoriented on the way up but walked straight to the cache on the way back down. Could not log my find at the cache as I left my pen at New Town Falls but did leave a named ladybird peg. I will record in the log next time I pass by. Took the Marathon Geocoin. TFTC.
Whose bright idea was it? "All this rain I bet the waterfalls look great up the mountain!" So to the first obstacle flooded weir, off with boots and socks and roll up pants.
Water wasn't too deep, but it was chilled, perhaps even icy.
On with socks etc and up to the Hobartian ruins.
Found it OK, new cache had a tiny bit of water under the lid but was remarkably dry given the amount of water about the place.
Thanks Snuva!

Container terrible and trees have come down on original spot! New clop-lock container in a different spot.
Found after resorting to clue. There are a lot of fallen trees around here. Surprised to see so much water inside the ziplock bags. How does it get in there? Drained and dried as much as I could. TFTC
I'll log a do not find on this one because I did manage to muster a pathetic amount of energy to have a quick look around, without much luck.
The day was nearly over, the feet were sore and I needed a rest, so maybe next time I'll have some luck.
Todays effort was just over 14 kms from top to bottom, took us 7 and a half hours with a LOT of stops for refreshments. I was very tired, in fact my legs are quite sore as I sit here and write this, but I must thank CraigRat for dragging me along, it was a most memorable day with some very interesting caches on the way. Also a big thank you to Snuva for the drive up the mountain so we could start, as I mentioned in an earlier log I really wouldn't have liked to attempt it going up the mountain.

I think fatigue had set in by the time we got here... Horus and I aren't the fittest people out there
Seached for a while, used the hint, but still wasn't having any luck, so we decided to pull the pin and head to the car.
Thanks all the same, interesting ruins...
What a day we had...14km from Top to bottom, lots of changes of scenery and flora.... all in all a VERY memorable day
Thanks again Snuva, you helped make it a great day out!

Set out this morning to find three caches with this being the first find of the three. Took a little while of searching but after reading the hint we soon had it in hand. Sad the ruins aren't being better maintained but at least we got to see them before they disappear altogether. Thanks Snuva. Took TB and Platypus Left Dinosaur.
A lovely short walk and much easier to reach cache on this lower route (last attempt was from the top down and we ran out of time). Found easily and spent some time exploring the ruins. Dropped off a TB which has been doing some travelling for a while and I can't seem to log it any more so hope the next person to find this has better luck!
Cache container was a bit wet, replaced plastic bags, and dried items as much as possible. Suggest more first aid required by next finder.

Nice walk along side a running creek, always nice to hear the sound of water. Then up along a very pleasant bush track.
Found surprisingly easily by genii.Left grasshopper, took bandaides as they looked like they needed using (a bit damp)

I was on my way up to New Town Falls when I realised that this cache was here. Had a bit of a scout about, gps reception was pretty poor, so continued on up to the falls. On the way back down I found it after going around in circles for a bit. The cache had quite a bit of water in it, but most of the contents seemed fine in their bags. Also some cub scouts had found the cache at easter and left a badge and entry in the log. Another gorgeous day caching on the mountain. Thanks Snuva. TNLN.
After last 3 caches was nice to get a cache with some real interest.Meant to be on the top of Mt. today..but all closed in...didn't want to risk it...so decided to do the lower slopes...and nab #500 in the process. This was certainly as nice a spot as any. What were these old huts...trappers or walking huts??I guess fires have taken their toll over the years.Continuing on to NewTown falls and junction cabin.Cache a little damp.TNLNSL TFTC Cheers Snuva.
Rated: for Overall Experience
Well, my 100th find was beckoning and I couldn't think of a better place to find it than on Mt Wellington. Set off mid afternoon to do "Old Hobartian Ruins", "New Town Falls" and "Junction Cabin" while I had some time and energy. No sign of anyone and GPS coverage was poor, so I did a quick scout around and found shortly after. Thanks for the exercise. TNLNSL.

This cache got the heart pumping, My 12YO decided to be a smartypants and race me down hill from the main fire trail, which she won on the downhill, when I kept jogging up hill she quickly ran out of puff, Lesson Kiddies don't mess with the old man.
Found the Hut with little trouble, and the cache just as easy. GPS caused very little havoc, and only jumped mildy at the cache site, however it was immediately obvious we were at the right site.
There was a little water in the cache box itself, however the plastic bags kept everything fairly dry, I emptied out the water, and when I replaced the cache I put it back upside down, to try to keep the water out.
T Geocoin and Star stamp, L Indian and Zebra. SL

Dropped off a special geocoin for the next lucky geocacher to move it on. Travelled from ACT, NSW and now Tassie.

Found it fairly easily, my first find on my own after being introduced to caching by a mate. 'Twas a perfect day for caching. Headed on to Jurrasic Park (failed to find, GPS was being screwy). Cheers Snuva!
nice gentle walk on a nice day.
The box had about 2cm of water in bottom, but the contence were still dry. the log book in on top but does need a new bag.
kept walking to new town falls but didn't have the co-ords. so I will have to go back again.

A very nice walk with the dogs. The weather wasn't the best. After arriving at the GZ, we found it quickly. Took Dettol cream left key ring. Thanks Snuva.
Well, set off bright and early intending to do the three Lenah Valley track caches. Arrived at Old Hobartian Ruins quite quickly and started looking. Looking, looking. Hmm checked hint, alright but which tree trunk? SMS to help line. While waiting for reply about 30 adolescent muggles being dragged through the bush by educators rrived and sat down, talking about lunch and wondering who I was.
Decided to move on and as I was leaving help line responded. No matter, will return. And return I did after finding Newtown Falls and abandoning Junction Cabin(see log for Newtown Falls).
Upon return called help line again and got the cache quickly. Took Torch left hand warmer.
For other cachers headed for the mountain in the next few months step carefully. As I returned from Newtown Falls to Old Hobartian Ruins I saw a huge SNAKE about 15cms from my boot. It was a Tiger snake, I'm not sure how long but it was as thick as a fire hose. It coiled away into the bush, pushing down small trees as it went, while I adopted a defensive tactic called "Tharn". This technique, which can be researched in Watership Down by Richard ADAMS, is also known as the "deer in the headlights" stance.

So the 2nd muggle I see today appears exactly as I get to the cache site, what are the odds!
I always seem to make Snuva's caches hard for myself, searched for 15 minutes thanks to dodgy satellite coverage and finally found the cache 5 metres from where I started in the most obvious spot. All downhill to home from here.
Took tennis ball thing
Left cheetah
Thanks Snuva, these 3 today were great

First for the day attempting 3 of Snuva's low altitude caches. Still suffering from yesterdays exertions, I approached the stairs with trepidation. Once they were behind me, the rest of the path was plain sailing. I arrived at GZ ahead of time (by those who had previously timed it) and had sporadic GPS coverage. I admit that I had to resort to the hint, and that made all clear. Cache found in short order, TNLNSL as I was on a mission to place a TB in Junction Cabin. Thanks for the warm up Snuva, the walk was through some spectacular bush.
Wandered up from Lenah Valley and arrived at the ruins. Put gear down, started looking.
I went round and round in a 50m circle not getting any decent readings off the GPSr. Saw where someone may have been trying to conceal something and nearly broke a leg getting there to find - nothing.
Resorted to the SNUVA HELPLINE and waited for a short paws(haha) and behold, the phone rang! Received some instructions and located the cache after a short search. I looked there about 3 times and didn't see it. Took carabiner, left giant marker pen and paperpunch
Thanks Snuva, you wicked little princess.

Headed straight up the main, steepest firetrail. Either I'm not as fit as I use to be (it's been about four years since last walk up this track), or else the track is longer and steeper than it use to be!
Found after a few minutes searching around. Took glasses cleaner, left caribiner.
Weather looks fine, but with the distant sound of rolling thunder I'll head off quickly for the falls, for another find and some photos.
Thanks Snuva
