Some of the photos a bit outdated going on 20 years since originally placed but with to young brains managed to put 2 and 2 together with help of the checksum and basic addition. Thanks for the hide bushfire loved the stroll with the dog
TFTC! 10 June 2024 4:53:49PM 8194 thanks to 6Hinemoa2 for the cache! 3rd time lucky here! Solved this one a few years ago on our time in the park, but after an hour all we got was lots of mozzie bites and a closed park! Today we were here on a mission to avenge our DNF, and a lot and a lot of spiders and spider webs! Glad for the find! Thanks for tricky hide!
Christmas Day was proving to be a bit of a DNF day. Some days you have it and some days you dont.
Took several visits to this amazing garden and while I wandered and enjoyed I was able to collect the clues. The cache itself was a very evil bushfire classic A favourite point here. Thanks Bushfire
We needed to head into Geelong for a couple of appointments, so we decided to take the cameras and photograph so plants and flowers at the Botanical Gardens.
We knew this cache involved a bit of a wander around the gardens, so we decided to kill two birds with one stone (a bit of a violent saying that one, when you think about it).
We had a very pleasant walk and enjoyed the various sections of the Gardens. We soon had all the information we needed to find GZ.
A short walk, and soon we had the cache in hand. We were blessed with a dearth of muggles, making retrieval and returning easier.
Thank you, Bushfire, for this Multicache and to 6Hinemoa2 for adopting and maintaining it. An FP from us for a most enjoyable wander through the Gardens.

Out and about on yet another day off school. Time to knock off the rest of the gardens and finish an AdLab. Tricky little hide, but found just as we were about to give up. Cache in good nick, plenty of room left in the log. TFTC
Out exploring. Having a great day.

Whittlesea Event trip. Day 11. Caching today with brisal5.
Took a fair bit of searching to spot this one.
I found your D1.5/T2.0 Micro Multi-Cache called Botanic Snap at 15:40 on 24 November 2022. It was find #16499 for me. Thank you bushfire/6Hinemoa2 for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment in the wonderful state of Victoria.

Whittlesea Mega Wobble and Wade Tour: Day 11: Drop of Bushfire. Don't stop caching.
Once again myself and Anymules were in Victoria on our way to a Mega event. We made a detour via Geelong and picked up Bushfire. It had been three years since we last all cached together. [^] Today we left our digs in Craigieburn and headed to back to Geelong to drop off Bushfire. That done we spent the rest of the day juggling the phone and GPS doing Adventure Labs and any caches we came close to. Many caches were found and unless something stood out these will be generic logs.
A great wander about and then ended up in a nice GZ. [^] Took quite a while but we found the sneaky little container. Never seen a container like that used for a geocache. FP from me. [:X][:X]
***Thanks 6Hinemoa2 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

We really enjoyedour stroll through the park
Picked up the cache thinking it was part of something that had fallen off before I realised it was actually the cache
TFTC and greetings from Tassie

Thanks for the walk around the gardens. After visiting yesterday for the adventure lab I bought my family back today to visit and do this one. Kids weren’t much help but they did enjoy the walk around the park. This one took me to a few more unexplored places I didn’t find yesterday. The violas, pansys and roses are in flower looking stunning. Only one I had trouble with was A as they are redoing the cactus garden but I could make a educated guess and I assumption was confirmed with the checker. Finial found thanks to the hint I haven’t seen one of these used as a container before but it works well for this situation. Cache still in good condition.
We had ventured here to attempt the ad lab and RH brought to our attention that there was also a multi. We were lucky that he was with us as time was limited by us arriving so late in the day. GT37 was excited to be able to add another old cache to her list of finds. Thanks for the cache.
We were here to do the ad lab when it was brought to our attention that there was also a multi. We didn't think that we would be able to get it done as it wasn't far off closing time but we managed to complete it and find the final. Great stroll through the gardens. Thank you for placing this cache and keeping it going for so long. Thanks also to 6Hinemoa2 for adopting this old cache.
Day two of our weekend road trip to Geelong, starting with a MEGA Lead-Up event (see bottom of this log), then finding a number of trads, multis, solved puzzles and AdLabs.
As we were nearing closing time, we had to rush through this one, but managed to make it in time. Thankfully, we had a previous finder with us to help us at gz.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, 6Hinemoa2

Great puzzle cache! My girls loved following the GPS to find the coordinates and the final hiding place. Thank you for another great adventure!
Such fabulous gardens. We circled and circled here and finally resorted to a PAF to make the find.
Today I teamed up with Posums for a day of caching fun in Geelong. Lots of caches, laughs and fun. Thanks to all the cache owners who placed these fabulous containers for us to find.

Headed down to to Geelong for another day of laughs, fun and of course hopefully finding a few caches.
Geelong has put on another great day of weather for us to be out and about touring the town.
I was meeting up with GemmaSistema for the day and I was the designated driver and Gemma was the navigator and co pilot.
After finishing a section of the rail trail and the marathon around the Eastern Cemetery it was time for some more caches in the suburbs.
We headed to to Eastern Park Gardens and enjoyed the walk around the Botanical Gardens.
Handy having 2 phones as one can have the photos up.
Got a set of coords and all we seemed to do was go around in circles as the GPS was not playing fair.
Gemma resorted to PAF and she soon had the cache in hand in a spot that I thought I had checked.
Thanks Bushfire and 6Hinemoa2 TFTC.

After a heads up that there were two containers in the area I ventured out and removed the old cache that was placed many years ago. i will recycle the contents into another very old cache that is an ammo can with a new 2.2 Sistema inner. Yep it fits perfectly. Thanks Millysk888
for locating this old cache that I thought had gone to heaven.

This cache is a lot of firsts for me.
First of all, its my first frown turned upside down.
Second of all, its my first multi cache.
Third of all, I managed to find an older iteration of this cache before finding the current cache. Felt like picking up a time capsule, last log was 2017.
Thank you for this adventure and TFTC!

enjoyed the puzzle, and found gz, but couldnt find the cache. Didn't want to go trampling, but the gps seemed to point us to do so. Another time I guess
A comedy of errors.
I was sure i selected the right pictures, then calculated my GZ. No way was a cache going to be hiding on an oval!
So i chose the alternative pic, the checksum somehow agreed but the pic was obviously the wrong one. But now I had a GZ not far from where i was laying in the shade and looked feasible. Had a thatched roof. Good. One win for the day.
Ill give it a try.
Muggles.
Hint didn't make sense.
What 4 digit number?
By this stage i think heat stress kicked in so gave up for today.
Not having a good day today, I'll be back.

SOME FOLK ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE MOZZIES BUT ON CHECKING THIS GUY OUR A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO I HAD NO PROBLEMS.
Had several attempts at this one but I had multiple muggle encounters. This is a very popular spot for good reason. Finally, an early morning attempt gave me some time & space to reveal the prize. Tftc!

Out caching in Geelong again today with Stemicmitsar, what seems to be a usual run nowadays, with him focused on finishing his 10th loop and myself focussed on just getting out of the house a big day was planned.
With a handful of fumbles.... which I personally blaim on an empty stomach the day all in all was a rather successful one. Thanks for being part of another good day out west. Thanks for the cache and the adventure

I wasn't totally a passenger for this cache. Grub62 did most of the calculations and when we did get to GZ brookphet actually found the cache. After quite a search it must be mentioned. It would have been a much better experience if the CO could do something about the mozzies.
TFTC. We were in Geelong today to attend an event in Eastern Park. We arrived early with the intention of completing a couple of caches in the Park. Armed with the pictures we ventured around the Botanic Gardens and made the comparisons. A final GZ was arrived at. A quick find at GZ and another Bushfire cache in the bag. We loved these gardens and plan to return with more time up our sleeves to better explore.
Out with Bunadoorian finding some caches in an area we hadn't explored before. I loved the gardens and will have to come back when we have more time to explore and with Insect repellant - the mossies really like me!! We enjoyed the challenge of finding the clues required and when we sat down and did the sum check we were up by one in A south co-ord - after the adjustment was made we headed off to GZ. On arrival we met up with a young family looking very much like cachers. We politely asked if indeed they were looking for a geocache and we were all relieved that we ( Bunadoorian, brookphet and myself) were at the same caclulated GZ. Off we all continued to search high and low , around and about. After quite a search of the surrounds - a few of us decided to search closer to the path. After a short search Miss brookphet finally had the cache in hand. A big round of applause was given to Miss brookphet. TFTC and for showing us these magnificent gardens - Bushfire. Off to the event nearby.
Fabulous tour of the gardens with a very challenging find at the end but made it all the more satisfying find. Located with Grub62 and Bunadoorian. Favourite for this tftc
An early morning as I packed up camp at 6:30am before leaving Bendigo to make it to the Geelong coffee event and CITO.
I returned to the botanical gardens to complete an adventure lab I had started some time ago. While here I set off to complete this multi. I set about exploring the beautiful gardens. Location A has changed since the photos were originally taken, however based on what is at the location and the check sum the answers are able to be discerned.
With a set of coordinates I set about searching for the cache. This took some time and in the end I needed a PAF to find the sneaky and yet simple hide.
Thanks Bushfire for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

We enjoyed the wander through these botanical gardens on this lovely afternoon. The final hide took some time but while looking at a nearby structure while waiting for some muggles to leave the four-digit number became more apparent. TFTC.
After struggling a little with the first lot of photos, I chose what picture seemed to fit with the theme. Then it was just a confirmation with the checksum to know I was on the right track. GZ had me looking everywhere but the right place, I spent a lot of time sitting on the seat and looking at the most amazing tree in the gardens. It’s definitely my favourite. I noticed the clue in the description but I just couldn’t figure it out. With a bit of help from DonutHoles I knew I was in the right place and had the right idea but I was looking in the wrong place. Wouldn’t you know it, as soon as he helped me out, I found those numbers! Ah, hindsight! It’s a beautiful place anyway so I would happily come back here again and again and again. TFTC
Day out with the geo kids, who navigated around and gathered the co-ordinates. Check sum confirmed correct. Agree with earlier logs that location A photo is out of date. After a lot of circling and looking, the kids called quits. Will be back for another look.
I visit the gardens all the time because my children love to run around and explore. Everytime we come I ask them if they want to help work out this cache and the answer was always no....until today
Arrived at GZ and was really stumped by the clue!! This took way longer than needed but it feels good to make this one a smiley. FP for me as this is one of our favourite spots.

Beautiful afternoon walking around the gardens solving this multi. Thanks for bringing us back here.
You have outdone yourself with this one, these gardens are magnificent. Maybe we can encourage the head gardener to come and do our place for us. We will certainly return to check out the gardens on other visits now that we have read that they do change. We needed to hunt around and around and around at GZ, we read the logs and took note of what others have said and finally we got there. SL TFTC
A plan was hatched for Spiffy- and I to freestyle Geelong with few multi and high favourite caches in mind. I was on bike and Spiffy- on electric scooter. Worked out well considering the wind and puncture on the bike. Did I mention hot too?
Did this on foot pushing a bike with a flat tyre... so had extra motivation to find the cache and it was needed as the hide was very easy but sneaky.
Thanks to Bushfire. for the placement and fun.

Fleabag- was chasing some multis for a multi challenge he was working on and with the ring of steel letting us out of Melbourne now gone I followed him down this way. I was lucky enough to borrow his electric scooter which made it easier in the gale force winds and 30 degree heat. It was my first scooter trip and really fun although it needed help on the steeper hills, plus when we had to finish after a few hours I wasn't even tired. It doesn't get any better than that.
My parents used to own a plant nursery so I really enjoy botanic gardens. This took a little while but we stuffed up one of the answers. Soon using the checksum we were back on track. After a long search at GZ we looked at the hint in a different way and Fleabag then made the find. Unusual cache, haven't found many like that before.
A favourite from me.
Thanks Bushfire for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

It took us awhile to rap out head around it as it was our first multi geocache but we finally got there in the end! Beautiful scenery too!

In Geelong to check out some 'Geocaching Adventures' - we were on our 3rd of the day and decided to tackle this cool multi and explore the gardens a little. It was a great walk, lucky I had H as she made the find when I was looking everywhere the cache wasn't. I think this was the first time I'd been into these gardens and we were glad we made the stop. Thanks for the cache Bushfire, another favourite point added!

Found this one with Wirthy117. We started off on the wrong foot with Location A tripping us up but figured it out with the check sum after doing the other locations. Spent a long time searching for the cache with no luck so we decided to use the hint which unfortunately had us looking in completely the wrong spot. After a while longer of finding nothing we decided to have a look at previous logs to see if we could find any hints in there and thankfully we were set on the right track! This was a great way to spend our afternoon, thanks for bringing us to these gardens!
25 June 2020...enjoyed wandering around the Gardens in the rain. Found final cache after some looking. Word of advice, don't trample the garden . Always visit these Gardens, always changing so always worth a visit. Good to see the Cafe still open. Thanks for the enjoyment!
25 June 2020...woohoo found it... or Boonda did!!! Word of advice... don't disturb the gardens!

Today didn't turn out as I had planned as it was going to be a olds and new day but this was the only first Vic 500 cache I found and I didn't find any of the nominated caches for the 2019 awards.
I haven't been in these gardens before so it was a nice walk around even though it was still very chilly, once I had all the required numbers, I then headed off to GZ where I looked around for a while before finding this so called cache, could be easy to miss.
**Thanks to Bushfire for placing this cache.**

Spent some time wandering these wonderful gardens yesterday afternoon, collecting clues and admiring the fabulous healthy specimens growing here. Searched for some time at GZ, but came up with zilch. Went back to our accomodation, via dinner, another cache and a movie, to have a read and a think about where it might be. Picked up a clue or two in the description which indicated we were in the right location. So back bright and early this morning, just as the gates were being unlocked, for another look. Found and SL at 8.15am - what a difference the time of day makes! Not sure how we missed it yesterday, but buoyed by our early morning success it is now off to find some breakfast! #6944 TFTC Bushfire - love your work. We have run out of favourite points ATM but it does deserve one!
As a kid I remember coming here on several occasions. I remember thinking it was all green and nice, but my young mind had never really appreciated what's been put together here. Walking around, and having to look out for specific things really enlightened me to how many unique and impressive plants and sculptures there are here.
Beginning the search, I was initially stumped at point A, as I do believe things have changed a bit since the pictures were taken. Using a bit of logic considering the surrounding area and the types of plants here I made an estimate for which option to choose. Otherwise, the other waypoints were all easy enough to find, (though point C was blocked off due to some maintenance work going on, but luckily the pictured article was clearly visible from a distance.) After collecting all required information I made my way to GZ, at which I spent a good 30-45 minutes looking. I checked the hint, past logs, the comments in the description but none of it was really helping. As I was beginning to really overthink things, I had an 'aha' moment and within seconds I had the cache in hand and was busy signing.
This also marks the 51st day of my current streak, which is somewhat exciting but also scary considering that now 100 is the next round number for me to end it on.
Thanks a lot for bringing me back here Bushfire, I've now seen this place from a different perspective, and for that I think this deserves a FP!

This has been on my to do list for quite some time. No that I have some extra time while between jobs I took the opportunity to drop by while the Gardens are open.
It has been forever since I have been inside the Gardens so long I can't remember how much has changed. Some looked familiar and other part look totally new.
The weather was glorious as I went from WP to WP gathering the information required. I struggled with a couple of the WP's but with the help of the checksum and some logic I had numbers that looked to be OK. At GZ it took me some time to locate the tiny little cache but I was relieved to get my name in the book once I finally found it.
Thank you Bushfire for the well planned Multi

We often come to the gardens for a walk. So while my daughter was at dancing with BCBeatz. My muggle Fisher Hubby (who Is more a half blood now) gathered the necessary info we worked out the puzzle then returned the next week to find the cache. Let's just say X does not mark the spot. Very sneaky hide. TFTC
Did all the leg work and arrived at GZ. Searched, what I thought was thoroughly, but came up empty handed. Apart from walking through the gardens to the area behind where there appears to be lots of hiding places I am at a loss as to where it is hiding. It’s a botanical garden so I am not searching that area. Thanks for the hunt anyway, I enjoyed the gardens
It's the last day of the month and thanks to a number of DNF's on unloved Multi's I am still 3 caches short of my Multi Month Challenge. Fortunately, I have 3 targets within a km or so of each other, so with a little bit of luck it should be done and dusted shortly. Or at least I hope so, assuming my month to date count is what I think it is.....
The gardens are always a pleasure to wander around, particularly on a day that turns out to be much better than expected weather wise. Much better than the time I photographed a wedding ceremony here in the middle of a summer storm! My trip here today was ultimately successful and i'm one down, two to go.

I'd attempted this one last time I was in Geelong but partly ran out of time and partly was stumped by location A which had me abandon the quest before I really got started.
Today was a different story. Although location a still eluded me (hint, the CO might like to update the photos as the powers that be have changed the planting) the checksum solved the conundrum.
Everything progressed swimmingly until I arrived at GZ and searched and searched and searched some more. With over a year of unlove in the mix I really did want to make a find. After some interesting acrobatics which ruled out a number of spots I finally spotted the sneaky cache.
I was mildly peeved to have discovered someone else's name in the logbook. However the delay in logging is completely understandable. The unlove rightly belongs to that person who will get to logging the find when they have the inclination and energy.
One thing that can most certainly be said, the log will be a little longer than what has been written here and most likely more entertaining.

An 80 year old bushfire[?][?]
Apparently the ageing Bushfire aka Red Ant was having an 80th birthday party and since I owed him a mug or two, I really wanted to attend.
So Rex and I headed off in the Corolla for what ended up being a 4 day road trip to Geelong, Warrnambool and back to Shepparton during which I finally finished the Victorian Premiers whereigo [^][|)]
Had some great company exploring around Geelong prior to the birthday event, we attended 2 flashmobs and yes... I even managed to get pulled over by the police in Geelong (apparently a case of mistaken identity ) on the way to the 3am flashmob and the other geocachers in the car in front of me didn't even realise and just left me! [:o)][:o)]
The next day Rex and I spent ages in the Botanic Park doing a Bushfire multi and sadly we had to bother to CO for a nudge (with a bloody hammer). Then to cap it off, a muggle found the cache for us
I finally got to drive on the GOR and I have to say that I was so glad that I wasn't on my motorbike as it was rainy and blowing a gale for almost the whole road
We saw glow worms [^] and thoroughly enjoyed clear skies and no rain as we did so [^] although bering in there on my own at 2.30am was a bit freaky , then the moment we got back in the car, the rain and wind started again
We spent the night on the way to Warrnambool on the side of the road only to find in the morning that we'd been sleeping right on the edge of a cemetery
All in all an amazing, scenic and fun trip [^] where there was 6 DNFs and 63 cache finds over the 4 days
As I am about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby

Back in the area to check on this guy and the work has not been completed but as I had a variety of containers, one has been placed so all good to go again. Enjoy these wonderful gardens.
Checked this guy out today while driving past and due to recent upgrades to certain structures out here my container has gone to heaven as a result. Work is still in progress so in a few weeks I will return and place a new container. Sorry folks but you cannot stop progress.
I have just had a heads up that maintenance work is in progress at GZ of this cache so I will check things out and see what is happening.
A lovely winters day to be wondering around the Botanics. Thanks Bushfire for another enjoyable cache.
A very cold winters day helped us do this without attention from muggles. Very nice game. Tftc.
After a couple of DNF's and a note from one I checked this guy out today and the container was in exactly the place that I placed it last year.
Took a photo of the log and a couple of cachers who recorded finds but had not signed the log!!!!!!!!

Collected all the info from the photo's and developed the co-ordinated which led us to 0151.

Thanks Bushfire

Geelong Day 4, last day in town.
A few caches around the town area & down along the waterfront. I love all the bollards along here.
Noticed the cache as I was walking towards GZ.
Traffic is always a problem when you don't know the roads.
Thanks for placing this cache Bushfire

Draggedalong and I had a lovely walk gathering clues. Checked against all hints and could not find. Searched for 15mins
I got all the answers. The checksum was right. I found 1501. I checked previous logs & the CO's comment that it was small& above head height, inside& on the left but after searching for 20 minutes, I had to give up as my lift was on the way. I enjoyed doing the cache. Shame I won't be able to come back at a later date but I live in England.
Another day, another calendar day cleared, orange marker removed and smiley added .
With better preparation we made it the gardens whilst it was open.
We wandered around, marvelling the beauty. The kids loved the big trees, we loved the scenery and the peacefulness.
Was a bit worried about our numbers (we always are) but all worked out the way it was supposed to.
Thanks for a different type of cache for us.
Another find by the McPhail family.

We needed an outing today after hiding inside from yesterday's (and last night's!) heat. Past the crazy-busy Geelong waterfront at Eastern Beach, and into Eastern Gardens and the relative calm, cool and quiet of the Geelong Botanic Gardens.
We all enjoyed this one! I handed the pics over to the GeoKids and pointed them in the right direction for each location. Had a very relaxing wander around the gardens on our way to each location. No trouble deciding which pic was suitable and the checksum proved we were on the right track.
Not too many muggles around while we were at the GZ. We left the GeoKids to it and I must say they put in a pretty good effort. It was GeoHubby who came up with the goods in the end though.
All returned as found. Favourite point awarded

First multi cache! Another awesome bushfire cache. Brought the young kids to find ground zero. Such a lovely place i rarely sometimes we do not appreciate what we have in our local area. Will be back with the family and a picnic
Second visit to find this one. Thanks to Bushfire for relocating a moved cache. We loved the concept of the Botanic Snap. TFTC
Tftc. Found it during the 2nd approach as advertised. Great location and approach to a multi. Well worth a ribbon!
A good excuse to wander through the gardens. Dropped a trackable from the other side of the world. TFTC
No wonder cachers have struggled here lately because there has been a lot of garden maintenance and the bridge has been removed and I guess the container with it. I have placed a smaller container and it is above head high. Over the doorway are the figures 0151. Good luck.

God, how big are those mozzies, had to go back to the car for mozzie spray.
Interesting style of multi cache, beautiful gardens and a surprise at the GZ.

Again, another pleasant stroll when the rain was holding off. AstroDianne proved her worth and knew a lot of the spots as she walks her terrier Brian here. Each location was found quickly except 2 - they took a little longer but no need to call anyone except right at the end. I was all over a structure and could not locate the prize, The CO confirmed the correct coords and revisited a nearby structure and had a better feel.... the rest is history.
Thanks to Bushfire and *clear skies* from TeamAstro. Cache the planet!
I have had my eyes on this one for a while now, eagerly waiting for an opportunity to complete it. Today my daughters muggle friends family wanted to be shown what geocaching was and I thought this would be perfect. We set out with kids in toe to all 6 locations, only one tricked us a little. We finally got our coords and headed to gz where we searched the likely spot with no luck, so out comes the phone again and the compass pushes us a little further on. Within seconds of getting to the new gz the muggle mum had the cache in hand and a big grin on her face! Thanks bushfire for this great cache - we had great afternoon out because of it!
This multi is excellent but l had to do it over 2 days. I worked out A, B and C on my own yesterday but took forever. So today geowife came with me, and after having a nice lunch at the cafe, we soon had D, E and F. Very enjoyable exercise so far. Bit bewildered by the checksum, however we pressed on to gz, and had soon found a likely spot. Then realized I needed the extendable wand with the light and magnet on the end. So, back to the car, and l waved it around, but without success. Geowife took over and she used it expertly and we were soon signing the log etc. Things are never dull with a Bushfire cache. Thanks.
This was a great concept for a cache, finally got around to signing the logbook today, thanks Bushfire! a great cache as usual and this cache utilises the botanic gardens well.

Have found this guy but with no pen I can't claim a find, will return to sign this guy soon- a FP when I sign the logbook though- brilliant cache
I really enjoyed this cache!!! Walking around the gardens today was beautiful and I liked the concept. Found the cache easily and it was full of travelbugs so I took one and Wespro took one to move along. Great idea and very enjoyable. A favourite if I could figure out how to give the point in this new app
Our reticence for doing "a bushfire" was quickly overcome with feelings of joy and wonder. Both SueHut and I agreed this deserved a favourite point. Very well done, Bushfire!
We had a nice time wondering around the gardens and matching all the photos. Unfortunately the weather wasn't that nice and we had to dodge a shower or two. Went back to the Caffè for a hot chocolate, warm up and work out the final coordinates. Then off we went in search of the cache. We spent quite a while searching all around GZ with no luck. Fortunately the weather kept away most muggles and we could search without interruptions. But it wasn't until we expanded our search to a good 10-15 meters out did we spot a perfect hiding spot and SNAP, there it was.
We swapped over several TB's and signed the log, replaced the cache and were on our way.
Thanks for a great experience.

Find #129 - Multi #5
I was feeling slightly off colour today, but I was still able to complete two Bushfire multis. I like your multis, Bushfire!
This was a leisurely walk in a lovely location. The Zetoeis enjoyed discovering all the various plants, and the snap game was easy to play, with the first coordinates we calculated being the correct ones.
GZ was really pretty. We knew we must be close because we found a random marble lying in an out of the way location. I was slightly perplexed by some of the things I found in the cache. There is a curious little brochure in there, I thought maybe it would contain the clues for another cache but I was getting my Bushfire multis confused. So many Bushfire multis!
Thanks for the effort that went into this. It was great.

Well finally, managed to do a multi, and what a multi. Very pleased to note this belonged to Bushfire. After copying the photos and loading all the cords at our accommodation we were all set to go.
The weather was perfect for a stroll through the gardens.
You certainly have to concentrate on the maths and getting rid of the red herrings which added lots of interest to the hunt. You do get lots of satisfaction when you end up with the prize.
We did lots of back tracking to get into the correct position to check the photos. We stopped a while and had lunch there.
Just after we located the hidden treasure (1 ½ hrs) which gets a FAV point from me, along came one of the staff (Kim) she had heard of Geocaching but had no idea there was one in the area.
I didn’t give any secrets away and she is going to log on and see if she is able to locate the cache.
Thanks again Bushfire, for a lovely stroll in a great spot.

PS; Shame about the vandals getting into the gardens.

After a successful find on another cache down the coast, I thought I would give this one a whirl. This is one of a handful full of hides that have been on my radar since I started two and a half years ago. I'm not sure why I have never grabbed it.. ?? With a few DNF's on this one, it was time to tackle this bad boy. With a set of printouts in hand, I set off on my journey. Even though the sun was shining, it was surprisingly cool in here. There were plenty of muggles about as well, a very popular place indeed.
I really enjoyed all of the places I visited, even the red herrings !! Before I knew it I had a set of co-ords to punch into my GPSr. Headed off to GZ and wouldn't you know it... a muggle family happily snapping away right where I want to be. I went for a short walk and thankfully the coast was clear when I returned. Luckily it was a quick find at GZ, I signed the log and returned the cache before anyone else decided to turn up !!
Thanks for a very enjoyable walk around this spectacular setting. It almost makes me want to go home and do some gardening....ALMOST A fave point is coming your way. TFTC Bushfire

I noted the DNF's but to assume it is missing because you cannot find it and maybe by the workers who know where it is hidden is not the way to go. You could phone a friend or ask the owner for a hint!!!!
You may be correct and it has gone but you never say a cache is missing just because you cannot locate it unless you find evidence say part of the container or part of the log book.

Looked around a lot. Think we got the coords correct. Tried a couple places just in case.
Found on our 2016 Geelong trip. Wow, as local Canberrans, Botanic Boggle was one of our first finds and remains one of our favourite memories in the early caching days - it was awesome to find a good homage cache to it! After coming back from a walk on the pier, we came here to complete this multi. After quickly wandering around getting the answers nice and easily (some took a bit more thinking than others, but all was good), we went over to GZ - only to find two muggles sitting in full view of the hide! There was no way we could retrieve it, so we went back to our hotel - luckily we did, because then the HUGE storm started! Once it was FINALLY over, we went back over to GZ for a pretty quick find. Nice hide in a lovely part of Geelong! TNLNSL. TFTC Bushfire!
What better way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon than walking through the Botanic Gardens perusing all the different locations for information leading to this hide. We were amazed at all the people enjoying the lovely weather picnicking on the garden lawns ad walking aimlessly around like us. Once we had gathered all the necessary information and had a set of viable coords we set off to make the find. Making the most of the seclusion here we were able to hunt down and locate the cache unhindered, adding our name to the very long list of fellow cachers.
Thanks Bushfire for the great experience and for making us visit these gardens that we have neglected for such a long time.
