Today out and about on 290 of 366 days to get my daily cacher Dimond. Using my Garmin Etrex 22X, Garmin Montana 700 and MacBook Air!Thanks for the cacheTFTC
Chewbacca72 and I are traveling during 4 months through Singapore, Australia and New Zealand. A few caches that are on our way should not be missing. This cache is one of them. Many thanks to Freddo for hiding.Best regards, searchersab
TFTC, was out for a walk, so didnt bring something to write with but I took a pic of log and container as proof to the owner if needed.
After deciding under the bridge on top of the bridge found quite quickly with the clue
Bisoutje and I are on a 4-week roadtrip with a campervan between Cairns and Adelaide and have now finally arrived in Adelaide. We spend our 2 full days here exploring the city with help from the Geocaching map. We enjoyed looking for Geocaches in and around the city, both virtually and physically. We especially enjoyed finding old caches of which there are a lot here. This was a quick find as soon as the hint was interpreted correctly. Nice hide.TFTC!
Omg reached for it when like 20 people were walking past, don't know if I fooled anyone with me pretending to tie my shoelace on a bridge. TFTC
Cache container is damaged and needs replacing as it has no lid anymore so the log is vulnerable to the weather
Second day caching here leave tonight for the ACT This has been a quick trip to cache only. Beautiful city lots of caches I will need to come back TFTC Big day just on 6 hours of walking and 14.5 km.
Out with the team for a good time in the city and surrounds. Plenty of shoe leather and lots of fun. The cache container is a bit knocked about and needs some TLC.TFTC
A fun few days in this beautiful city with friends. Lots of walking in the cool fresh air with little time to spare - fun! Cache needed a bit of TLC! TFTC Freddo!
A straightforward find here today. However the mint tin has had a hard life - the lid has been wrenched off and plastic bag opened from the wrong end (who does that?!) so the log is a little damp but still ok to sign. Ive wrapped it up as best I could. Thanks, Freddo!
Found it eventually but def hard to know if it's up or down. Beautiful spot and nice river views. Tftc.
A great little find on the way home from a cracking game of football cheering on the Matildas. Thanks for this hide in a beautiful spot.
(# 10240) I *did* undertake the virtual task. Even if it did not contribute to the finding of the cache, it did give me something to think about... The cache was found after contemplating the hint, and eventually I found a blank page to write down today's date and my nickname. Logs are not in chronological order here...- - - - - - - - -*Having had a wonderful 25-day trip to Australia, visiting Townsville, Canberra, Sydney, the Sunshine Coast, Kangaroo Island, and finally spending time in Adelaide, today I just had a sunday walkabout in town. Wonderful weather today, for a Swede, who just lived through 6 months of gray, dark, icy, rainy, snowy winter in the northern hemisphere. I just browsed about town, logging virtuals, ALC's, traditionals and a mystery cache I solved a long time ago as part of some "Master of Mystery". Truly enjoyed it all. Tomorrow, I'll fly back home.* **Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining geocaches for the community to enjoy.** // e-scape (from Sweden)
Quick little find while sight seeing from Sydney. Poor little cache is in need of repair. Paper in log is so damaged and full
Nice hide, liked the element of not knowing if it was above or below. Hint is excellent. Cheers
Passing over the bridge and got the three answers right, though I wouldn't have minded a cool down at this point.A mish-mash of a day today as a couple of my group (me included) realised that our trip to Adelaide would be extended for up to a week, oh no, quel domage. So I headed out early doors for a few early morning picks down Mawson Lakes way. Then had a coffee and chat to farewell a colleague, then afterwards was a trip into the city to pick off a few low-hanging fruit. I filtered my app to Wherigo, Letterbox Hybrid, Earthcache and Virtual but flicked on Traditionals and off depending on where I was etc. A great day to get some awesome, and popular, caches under my belt. As ever, the appreciation to the COs is most genuinely respected.
???? Fount It ???? and another smiley to boot. Out caching with *Throsbyonchurch* and *Little Panther*. Thanks for the cache **The Bridge of Death!**, *Freddo*. ?? cache all good.DustyJaperJet ??
> Needs new log book and bag. Replace everything or it all could fall south.Found 3:39pmAll good here. TFTC *Freddo*DAY 1*Little Panther* and I were out of bed at 2:30 am after having very little sleep. We arrived at the railway station at 3:30 am to catch the train, arriving at Sydney Airport at 6:00 am. Now for the pressure cooker bit, working out what we needed to do, and where we needed to go. Fortunately we managed to navigate our way to our seats. Arriving in Adelaide at 10am the pressure was on as we again navigated our way to collect our bags and locate the shuttle bus to go and collect our hire car.Settling into our car I discovered the GPS I brought was not working - grrr. To Waze we go I guess. Northward bound up the motorway and out of Adelaide, I was not excited about the countryside, it was not wat I expected, and I quickly decided I didn't really like Adelaide much. We headed to the *Barossa Reservoir* and the *Whispering Wall*, a place I had not been since I was 10. On arrival it was closed - No way !?! grrr !! Not happy Jan !! Can't do much about it, so we headed off to *Tanunda* and *Nuriootpa*. They were also not what I was expecting. But its been so long. I was amazed seeing just how big the wine region is here with grapes galore. I just wanted to come for a look for old time sake, so we didn't do much. With hands full of lollies and ice cream - the best ice cream I've ever tasted I might add [I love ice cream] - we headed down to *Hahndorf* to book into our accommodation. Dinner at Haus was a delicious crispy Vienna Schnitzel and Sauerkraut.DAY 2Off to the ***The Great Leap Forward Mega Event 2024*** at *Woodville South*. We arrived and signed the log book, enjoyed the fun gadget caches, a coffee, sausage sandwich, and chatted to two Canberra Cachers and one of our home local cachers who we haven't seen over a year. Oh, and bought some coins and other merchandise from the geocaching stall. Following on from that we went out caching and clocked up quite a few finds over the afternoon. *Little Panther* did a great job choosing the caches and navigating us to them. We couldn't possibly come to another state and not visit the beach. Some beach caches were very much enjoyed. Dinner was *Da Mario Pizzeria, Athelstone* - a nice crispy half and half 'Chicken and Chips' and 'Garlic Prawns' pizza. Then back to *Hahndorf* for a big sleep.DAY 3A late start to the day saw a cache find on nearby **Chase Away Your Sorrows**, a visit to the Hahndorf Bakery for lots of *Bee Sting* to fly back with us to Sydney [we spent a small fortune here], and another run out to the *Whispering Wall*. Woo hoo, it was open !! I rang SA Water yesterday to ask about it. Thanks for not returning my phone call as you said you would, SA Water. Nevertheless it is open. The last time I came here I wasn't able to do the wall walk. My sister had a fear of heights and I had a fear of water. Today I have overcome my fear and walked the wall alone. I've been working hard on overcoming this fear. Next stop was the Rocking Horse at Gumeracha. I saw family photos of it, but have never been, so this was a must stop. Terrific souvenir shop. We went to the top of the horse and made some fairy floss before leaving. Some more caches were found before we returned our hire car, caught the shuttle bus to the airport, and flew back to Sydney.
Thank you fo the cache!I arrived in Adelaide with my bestfriend geocacher Ironford for the Leap Year Mega. We spent the morning at the Mega location, and then we took a bus to the city centre to do more exploring and geocaching. We managed to cover a lot of ground, including a beautiful walk through the Botanic Garden, and Park Lands. We followed River Torrens back towards the North Terrace and even got to see fruitbats flying out at dusk. Adelaide was such a lovely place to discover!I love the listing for this one. We had no difficulty crossing the bridge and our search for the Holy Grail (aka cache) was also successful. By the way, my favourite colour is blue.
A huge thank you to the cache owner for creating and maintaining a wonderful cache. EP79 and I have embarked on a three-month long geocaching trip across the globe, and we are both grateful and thrilled to discover new places and new friends. The first part of our trip is dedicated to Australia and New Zealand. We started in Adelaide and fell in love with the city and the geocaching community. The main goal was the Leap Day Mega Event, but Adelaide was so much more than that!My Leap Year conquest continues after the Mega. I am very excited to log another oldie. Many thanks for an invite to a beautiful place and for a wonderful geocaching adventure. Greetings from Prague, the Czech Republic, Europe.
In town for a few days, figured Id explore the city while caching. This would have been a quick grab as I scootered around, were it not for multiple repetitions of tying my shoes while muggles crossed around me. TFTC!
