Had a very good scratch around here and couldn’t come up with anything.

20-Dec-20
We found the first two WPs many years ago & as we were passing thought we would have another go at this one. I wonder if the coordinates have changed since we gathered the info for the final as we could not find them. will get them checked before we return for another try.

Headed out for some exercise whilst distancing from the rest of the world & somehow encountered this cache... It was a fair distance from where we were, but we had all day with the bush to ourselves Big Grin

We found a suitable way in & in no time we spotted the grey demon Twisted Of course the kids quickly headed to the top whilst us adults made our way to WP1.... Jase quickly found the WP although it could have been easily overlooked as it was melted into the rock it was hiding behind Surprised The co-ordinates inside were a piece of ash but amazingly we could still decipher the info required to move along to the next WP.

Onto WP2 we had a bit of a head scratching moment, perhaps we were expecting a bigger rock but Jase soon found the little case. The coords were hard to read so we managed to open the case where the co-ordinates were easily read. We gave the container a wipe out & sealed it back up again now readable for the next finder Big Grin After spending some time soaking up the serenity in this location (and letting the kids run wild for a while) we moved along in the direction of the final prize!

In the direction of this one we lost the track (probably with the undergrowth of fires in the area) but managed to soon track down the lonely cache. We rescued a TB from inside that has not seen the light of day since 2017 & placed the cache back in its spot.

TFTC Greydemon & Fernio for your maintenance [^] We enjoyed the locations this cache has shown us & we had a great picnic at the forgotten picnic area... Now for some more adventure getting us back in the direction of home Razz

CO. This cache is once more in play, however first waypoint has been moved higher up the grey demon to S32,00.144 E115.53.764 it is a Borrocca tube. A pencil is required in the final cache that has also been moved and now resides in a stump, as the previous log has gone. The bridge at wp2 has also gone. It was a hot controlled burn.

07-Nov-17
Co. Can this cache be removed for a while. First wp couldn't find and gps went dead. Second wp all good. Third wp and log has gone the way of all flesh. Ashes to Ashes dust to dust.
It was too hot out there today. When cooler I'll put new wp s in.

28-Oct-17
I need to check on this cache as a controlled burn has left nothing. I will go back and check. Darn. Points 1&2 should be good but don't hold out the final cache.

I had collected the waypoints while doing training rides on the Munda Biddi and made a detour today from my End to End adventure to grab the cache Smile. Awesome stuff and a fave from me [^]

I had been planning to complete the Munda Biddi Trail from end to end for some months now and the time had finally arrived for the adventure Big Grin. I had thirteen days of mountain biking to get back to Perth from Albany and was able to collect a few geocaches along the way Smile.

A HUGE thanks to Greydemon for placing this cache here, it certainly helped break my trip up and gave me some respite from my seat [^].

Greydemon - jinta29 found your cache Les Demon Gris on 2/11/2016, 11:41 AM. This is my find #5976 and find #1 today. I was able to add my name to the log book and I replaced the container as found!

Didn't expect to be back in the area so soon, but with the day off and at a bit of a loose end, I decided to head up here and finish this one off. Quick find on arrival at GZ after driving to within 100 metres of the cache.

Signed the log. THanks for the hide Greydemon ... enjoyed this one.

18-Oct-15
Visited the two WPs and got the coords for the final. Didn't have time to stop there, but pleased to note that it won't be too much trouble next time I'm in the area.

great cache.. thanks..

28-Jul-14
After spending the weekend in York with iluvtrekking, we had this multi on our 'to do list' while heading into Perth. We had attempted a few years ago but incomplete w/p's meant we couldn't complete. Beautiful day to walk the w/p's again and finally onto gz where we located the nicely stocked container. Beautiful bush and an enjoyable multi to finally get that smiley for. Thanks to those who organised the reinstatement of the w/ps - well worth it.

We started this cache away back in September 2007.
We were new cachers back then and did the first two way points after a day walking on the Bib Track. We still have notes we made at the time, including the coords for WP1 & WP2, but we can't actually remember why we didn't finish the cache at the time. Maybe we were just tired, wet, cold and hungry as we were so many times we finished a section of the Bib. Then, it was put aside and all but forgotten until Mrs richlink said that the cache was still there and maintenance had been done.
So, it is with great pleasure that we are finally able to log a find on this cache 7 years later.

This cache is now operational. WP1 is now a mint tin in a plastic sleeve. WP2 was right on the co-ords that I was given - I was treading on the rock. This was in good nick as it had been sealed. I cleaned the mud off, moved it out of the mud. There was a cache guardian, I think it was a mouse or we have some big arachnids. You can get to the cache without disturbing it now.
I enjoyed todays walk. Sun was out, a splash at WP2 and the wildflowers are about to come out 2-4 weeks.
I'll fire proof the final cache next week.

[^] [^] [^] Big Congratulations to Fernio for excellent job and replacement wp1. Big thanks again. [^] [^] [^]

Found it - cooking with gas! Thank you to Chwiliwr who provided co-ordinates and assistance from Everlasting. Cache is in good condition although the exterior plastic has deteriorated. Didn't have time to check WP2. Next weeks job.
I'll fire proof the cache too. It was kind of eerie finding something unopened for 3.5years.

20-May-14
No action on any of the needs maintenance tags. Time to go.

20-May-14
I now have the final coordinates - can you give me 7 days to find the cache please. I'll try tomorrow but my bookings are increasing and may need to be the weekend. Went to cache3 unable to find. Brushcutter job on the weekend

Greydemon. See comments on find. Would like to go in with you to fix

Well found it sort of. The first cache is exactly on DZ, but that is where it stops. The log was blank and the co-ords for the second cache have disintegrated.
But dont let that stop up. This is a beautiful piece of bush and the rocks were begging for a geocache.
I parked directly opposite Ashendon Rd. There are bar-b-que facilities there and walked 'south' along an obvious track to the right of the car park. There was a gate but could be bypassed. There was another vehicle but I never saw the occupants. The track was an easy walk until you cross the Mundabidi Trail.
I took the left fork as I wanted to check out a feature to the cache and this turns out to be the correct one. A little further on is a medium decent and could be negotiated with a 4WD just. The feature that I was looking for is to the left of where Mrs Demon is removing her shoes. It was dry today but boots and gaiters and run through. In my photograph, the track continues off centre on the tree line and the cache is about 500m further. For me it was worth the walk in.
Met a couple on the way out on the Munda Biddi. Great walk, appreciated. Disappointed on caches 2&3 but hey! SmileSmile

Given the 'recent' DNF and no finds for 3 years. Needs a look from CO.

02-May-13
Well, we thought we had found it but we didn't realise it was a multi! It was still in our GPSr from way back but we didn't have any details. We took a turn off from the Brookton Highway, then found a car wide bush track which took us to 260m of the first WP. We found a box which was mainly unrecognisable but we could make out GEO... and ......ON... so we assumed we'd found the actual cache as we were obviously at the Grey Demons. If it is rejuvenated we may try for the rest of it.

Was out this way today, trying to make a start on the Wandoo Series. Had the printout for this cache with me, but gave it a miss. Weather was abyssmal and didn't think it was worth the effort considering it hasn't been found in two years now, and the lost log said that the clues were almost illegible back then. Could the CO please check on this one?? Thanks

09-Aug-10
No trouble to find really. Firt clue was easy to find, though the paper with the next coords was damp and torn, I could read it. Found second clue after a little hunt (nice hiding spot!) That clue was very hard to read due to the condensation in the container, but I followed it to the final cache. Took some hunting, but I found it and dropped off Aslan the travel bug.

11-Sep-09
Visited today to check everything is OK. The water level is the highest I have seen it today so first stream crossing could be tricky (knee high wellies just got through OK with careful route planning). The second crossing via a tree trunk which used to be a bridge with handrail is still ok.
The first cache has water penetration but can still be read, the second one has condensation but can also just be read - I'll replace them both as soon as I can. The cache itself is dry and has lots of goodies.

A glorious winters morning for a walk in the hills. Had morning tea on the granites near the first wp. Not much water in the creeks but plenty of croaking by the frogs. TN. L: Travel Trol GC. TFTH.

We enjoyed the walk in this lovely area. Found the cache after a short search. Thanks for arranging and placing the cache.

05-Oct-08
Good fun -- a pleasant walk in nice bush. We cut through the bush a bit... the tracks didn't go quite where we wanted to go.

29-Sep-08
1st two waypoints found easy, the cache itself we had to widen the search as mentioned in previous log entry, found cache approx 9mts from original gz co-ordinate.
Took puppy power tb as he has been here over a year, probably lonely by now so will move on.

Visited the cache and waypoints tody, a bit of condensation in the waypoints but still OK, will need to replace them soon. Cache dry and in very good condition

Very interesting area, and a nice walk through from Leisurely Lesley, but it was overcast and very coooold all morningSad - had to put on the spray jacket AND the gloves, even though forecast was for fine and 18. WP1 looks OK, but WP2 has a lot of condensation making it hard to see the coordinates. I was concerned about the coords being obliterated but didn't have any tape to reseal it if I opened it to dry it. Cache itself was dry and in good condition, but I had to resort to the hint to find it as I was reading about 7 metres off - my >5 m error plus your >5 m error = >10 m so 7 isn't bad, but I'd been sucked in by a few '0 to Next' results in a row (LL, WP1 and WP2 included) so I'd narrowed my visionRed Face. I'm still learning, but I think I'm improving. T glass angel, L poker chip keyring light. I don't have a dog to accompany me, so I dropped the Puppy Power TB[:o)]. I was pleasantly surprised to find you had brought me back to within 260 m of my car - thank you[^]. T4TH

Again no information except for a waypoint in the GPS.
Both #1 and #2 waypoint containers in really nice feature areas but #1 was just lying in the open!! Moved it under some weatherproof cover (about .5m from where I found it). The second was well hidden. Both are taking in a little moisture but still readable (although I didn't believe S02 in the first waypoint (pointing to second waypoint) and substituted the obvious digit and found the second no trouble. Searched for about 20min for the final cache but couldn't find it. Very disappointing after the first two finds Sad

Easy find, but first co-ordinate seemed wrong. Suggest checking. TFTC

We went out after work as a training run for a possible new team. They were armed with a brand new "Magellan XL" GPS so it was a perfect opertunity to compare it directly with our now dated "Magellan Platinum". We set out and we had to change the internal map in our Platnium to the much older version of the maps as the track wasnt on the "discover Australia" map. They were however on the new XL maps. One point up for the new GPS.
Honing in on the waypoint was the next challenge. The new XL walked straight to the waypoint we had to wait for averaging to get us to the area it only took a minute or two but the processing of the new XL is much faster. The main diference between the units is the Fluxgate compass in the Platinum so far we havnt had a chance to see if the omission of this on the XL is a negative. We worked on distance to destination to find the cache and the map page and it was just an easy walk up. We are very tempted to buy one ourselves...any one want to buy a kidney ?
Swaps....in: Xmas Stickers, out: keyrings.
Thanks for the training trip.

Been a bit busy so I'm late logging this one. Found it after wandering around in the dark for a while. TNLNSL.

What an interesting cache, did this with William the Wanderer we set off to find our TB Tassie Gekko to place a tag on him out lining his destination, but alas he has moved on. We arrived upon this area just before dark, and had a interesting experience doing this cache in the dark. Way point 2 needs some urgent attention as it is nearly unreadable due to some moisture in the plastic case.

TN left calling card

Tres bien!
I set off from Lazy Lesley, leaving it to dry, and found a fairly easy way over the (dry) creek to the impressive rocks at WP1. I then spent quite some time looking, looking, looking. The GPSr had settled, but I looked a bit further afield anyway. Then, using our time-honoured tactic of planning to give up but having one last look, I found the little devil... err... demon.

On the way to WPT2 I passed a man walking his big black mutt, then headed along a streambed that seemed the best approach route. There were footsteps in the sandy bits, so I wondered if I was going to be the second finder today!
A rowdy chorus of red-tailed black cockies cheered me on as I found this waypoint in much better time, aided by the presumed recent disturbing of its hidey-hole.

Then to GZ, via the still-wet Lesley, and a few dark thoughts about the possibility of genetically engineering some bug that would wipe out all examples of Xanthorrhoea johnsonii. Then I looked in the right direction and there it was, so the genegeneering can wait.

I rescued the TBs, then went back to the car. The gentleman with the black dog was there and asked me if I'd been geocaching. It was Greydemon, and he'd seen me consult a device I'd pulled from my pocket before plunging off the trail. Yep, geocacher alright! He'd been checking this cache, but didn't need to go as far as WPT1, as he knew it'd been found a few minutes earlier. Cool}

Happy Easter... Found the cache – no problem – enjoyed walk along to the cache. Today the weather was so perfect day. Took: nothing Left: Geocoin – Everlasting Selective Geocoin and Washington Traveller Geocoin (Track on Washington site) Thank you for organise the cache and hunt.

Finally back on the road after knee injury and had a good walking around the multi cache in the beautiful weather. Creek is dried up and easily crossed it without getting wet – however it would be lovely to have the water flowing in the creek to enjoy it. There is a nice feature of the large rocks nearby. Took a while to find the final cache due to the overhead and approx 10m from GZ. T: Geocoin. L: TB Tassie Gekko and Geocoin. BikeDog geocoin was destined to the other cache. Thanks for great location and cache.

After spending the morning helping out a friend with her pc, I managed to finally get out this way for a very much needed bvit of bush. This is a nice easy walk - though it was just a little on the warm side today. Each waypoint was found easily, though my GPS is an oldish model, so I reverted to using a compass when under 10 mtrs. The cache was also found with the aide of the compass. Un fortunately, I had no swaps - not even the TB that I had palanned for this cache, so TN-LN-SL. Thanks to Greydemon for the cache.

17:20 Didnt realise this was a multi as I searched the first WP looking for the cache. Found this funny little container that said, "Now go to" I went Oh! but was relieved when it went me straight back down the track I'd just arrived by, back towards the car. WP2 was a quicker now I knew what I was looking for but the final was a bit harder as the coords didnt match the actual location being about 9m out for some reason, WP's 1 and 2 were +-1m.
Anyway, was great to revisit an area I knew so well so long ago, picnic area certainly has shrunk. TFTH TNLNSL

It's always good to come back here, one of our favourite spots for walking. That's why we put the Leisurely Lesley cache here. Great idea for this multi to springboard off that. The stream was running but we managed to cross without getting wet. TN Left tee shirt. Thanx

(Chwiliwr team catch up log)

We left late in the afternoon to do a loop of cahces including this one. Was surprised that more cachers hadn't visited as it was quite nice this afternoon and it didn't rain at all while we were in the area.

Chwiliwr had a little trouble finding the waypoints as he didn't take note of what they were supposed to be.

Thanks for the cache.

My first, First finder certificate. We (lady thommo Hawk) and I braved the wintery elements to be the first to do this cache. We even found the geomutts lead. The first two waypoints were not obvious but with a bit of looking in, under and around we found them. With me finding the first one and lady thommo Hawk finding the second there was a bit of tension as to who would find the Cache first. The Treasure Trovers were victorious with the Lady Thommo Hawk humbly accepting defeat. In your face......Lady Thommo Hawk
Took: little stapler, & First Finders certificate.
Left: Wall climber ball & calling card.
Thanks for the great Cache.

Thanks thommo hawks, we picked up Billy's lead this afternoon. My daughters would love the angel (Mrs Demon did) but couldn't think of a reason to 'liberate' it so left it there.

I had a little trouble finding the waypoints as I didn't take note of what they were supposed to be. (Coordinates seemed a little out on WP2 and the cache site but not enough to stop them being found.)

TNLN Thanks for the cache. Took 3rd finder certificate.

Joined with The Treasure Trovers in the race to be first finders. Was a great day for walking, misty rain and perfect, cool temperature. Found geomutt's lead, quickly followed by first clue, second one took a bit longer and with the cache within reach, it became a bit of a ground race between me and the Treasure Trover. Treasure Trover won by a nose. Had some thoughts as to disposing of Treasure Trover and taking first finder's certificate but conceded defeat and gracefully accepted second finder's certificate.
T. Snake.
L. Glass angel in box for someone's little geoprincess

Left geomutt's lead in bag around cache.

Thanks again.

I left Billy the Geomutt's black lead somewhere near the first cache, if anyone finds it please take it to the final cache and mention it in your log, I'll pick it up from there next time I'm passing. Many thanks.
