We have called into the cemetery chasing some of the older cache. Was able to park close by G. Z. We spent ages looking . With no luck, then I remember a friend saying about the other side of the small road. We headed on over ..Gotcha.. This find was more of a fluck than good geoing. Tftc

We left today early to get couple of caches South of the Brisbane River. This was the start of the day. Gee that's a huge area and even with street names. We found the cache and signed the log. Tftc Crew 153

I needed a cache today to help fill my calendar but it was a busy day and there had not been any free time for caching. Then one of the kids called to tell me their excursion bus was running late and suddenly the mum taxi had a slightly wider window of time between one dropoff and the next pickup. Not many caches left along the route but this one wasn't too far away. The good thing about this series is that the more I solve the closer to home they get. Very quiet in the area at this time of day so I had the place to myself. A few possibilities at GZ were checked and then I noticed the likely hiding spot. Yep, there it is. Another oldie ticked off and one more Mimosa cache to go. Thanks for the hide Crew 153!

A search to no avail today. Some recent ish mulching undertaken on the fringes of this area and some water has gone through. Will try again another day

I previously visited [Mimosa - Clump](https://coord.info/GCQQ48) and [Mimosa - Roly](https://coord.info/GCQFBT) on 30/01/2022 when I obtained the coordinates of this *Mimosa* series geocache. Amazingly, that was close to two years ago, and this cache had remained just a solved puzzle on my map for some time.It was in the middle of the day when I was passing by this geocache, and hence an ideal time to visit. I ventured into the premises, and an interesting little dead city nearby. As I followed the hinted new projection, it wasn't long before I found the hinted structure object, and cache contained within. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [Crew 153](https://coord.info/PRPH14) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 09/2005 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 500 oldest yet active geocaches.----------Today, wrestling between Sunshine Coast and Crestmead plans, and it was the closer and half-day Brisbane south plan to Crestmead that turned into reality. The morning commenced with the [Crestmead CITO](https://coord.info/GCAHCQ9) clean-up event, and then after coffee, I joined a small group visiting a few target geocaches within the vicinity. After farewelling the group, I proceeded to visit Berrinba Wetland, where I completed the two aptly named Adventure Labs [Berrinba Wetlands Part 1](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/9611d1ab-35e7-4aaf-b271-dbd67111d8b3) and [Berrinba Wetland Part 2](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/b7665ffb-ef73-4051-9afc-b42d8b02a81a). The remainder of my morning was spent driving around the industrial area of Crestmead and Heritage Park performing a couple of small walks, before returning home for a late lunch. In the afternoon, I did need to pop out for a couple of errands, and a fortuitous newly published geocache had me jump out of the door to visit Windsor sooner than I had anticipated. A final smile to finish the year out.

I’m needing just a few more Regular size caches for a challenge and had the two previous caches in this series on my solved list. So after finding them, I had the co-ordinates for this one, which was on my way home.
I noted that there was an offset so applied that but when I got to gz, the area looks like it has changed fair bit. Having seen the previous finder's photo, I set about looking for that, but nothing like that was found. I noticed that previous finders had said it was out by up to 30m, so I spread my search as well as making a PAF. Still nothing. There is a large recent branch down so maybe it has fallen on the cache. Anyway, I again contacted the CO who will check on this one soon and has given me permission to log as a find. Much appreciated. It's been a mixed day of easy finds and hard finds. And just two more in this series to go now. Tftc

After our big day yesterday we were looking for a less strenuous day. Not sure that we got it but survived.

Out caching with RoddyC, imbunda and grannysmith1947.

Another cache that was not on our list but it was clise by where we were. Have been here before but I don't think this was where it was. I ventured further out and saw something further away. Contained a logbook so signed and gave it some protection. (About 30+ mtrs away).

8/2/2023 Find #5684
SaintsMadHouse and I have teamed up for some serious Wednesday antics this year. Today we were slightly delayed in our start (thanks 1GiantPanda ) but we had some form of plan to follow at least.
A quick check of this one on the way and I realised there was a little more to do before arriving at GZ and making our find. So while SaintsMadHouse was driving, I was calculating, and soon had our new set of coordinates. Arriving at GZ we noticed much work going on nearby, so had to be quite stealthy. We searched our GZ, and noticed something that fit the clue but no luck.
Broadening our search, we were still having trouble but all of a sudden I spied something and gestured to SaintsMadHouse to join me. The contents and logbook were very much worse for wear, so we dashed it back to the car for a clean out and fresh logbook before sneaking it back to its location - me keeping muggle watch and signalling the ok for SaintsMadHouse to return without being discovered.
Thanks for the cache Crew 153.

I am logging these in random order as I did a few and can’t remember which order we did them in. The day was nice weather for a change and we were not in any real hurry so we kind of just went all around and around and back n forth a bit to grab a few oldies. Replaced some wet logs and a cache as well at this one due to it being saturated. All us good now

Once I read the description again it was quiet clear where I should have been looking

Log book is quiet damp but made my mark and on on.

Muggle65 and l came out very early for this one as we are off to the airport. Cache was found in a bit of a wasteland. Coords were a bit dodgy but Matt found the cache after a bit of a look. Really need a new container here. Thank you for the fun

Super early today we have a lot to do. We found a wet log in an unexpected place, but we managed to put our monograms into the log.

Out today to grab 7 oldies from Crew 153. Thank you for keeping these caches going. Had lots of fun finding them. I did need to Paf a few times for help on a couple of them.
So now Mimosa series finished and one to go on the Oxley series to go.
Plus 3 for for a new challenge on the Northside.
So I found 10 for today. The breakdown was 7 mystery, 2 earthcache and a multi.
Sorry for the generic log.

I’ve had the co-ordinates for this oldie for a couple of weeks now… With plans to help friends move house I had just enough time to find a couple of caches…

I read the description so knew about the offset… that didn’t really help me at GZ though… it just looks like where the rubbish ends up… I even ended up on the phone trying to narrow down my search area… finally after about 15 minutes I spotted the container… it definitely shouldn’t have taken that long… and I was sure Geepers initially said I was much further away than 28 metres…. But was spot on when I looked again…

Tftc….

An early mark from work and a couple of hours to kill before school pickup sees me driving over to the Southside to finish off the mimosa series of caches and a few as I passed by.

The mimosa series was of particular interest as it fills in some older caches that I have been targeting. It was a great series and one that kept me entertained and took me to a lot of different areas and unusual spots, thank you.

This one had me searching all over the place, going to the corrected coordinates I found the russo family and started my search from the hint. With all the new work being done around here I first thought it was gone. Then my geosenses kicked in and thought, really! Ok time to read some logs hmmm oh then maybe I missed something in the description. Oh fair dinkum, so with some new calculations I was off to a new area to search. Maybe the hint works now, searching here and there I soon found the cache, so happy. I really thought at first this was a no show, opening the container I had to empty out some water and try and sign a wet log book. I replaced everything back as found and with a little better cover to try and prevent any further damage to the logbook.

27-Aug-21
Was concerned I wouldn’t get a find here as there is construction right at GZ and reading the hint I thought any chance of a log being here was slim.

Then I read the description and applied the required offset and headed off to that area. Took a look in a few logs till I found the cache. The log is wet and I could only open it to one page so that’s where I signed.

Thanks for the nice series Crew 153

Out with TripleTurmoil, Willis007 and Bella the Geodog for a day of caching on the south side while paying close attention to the Mimosa series and grabbing a couple other caches along the way.

We worked out what the cache name meant and set out to look for it, after a thorough search and coming up empty handed we decided to read some logs and that's when I noticed someone mention the description, I guess it helps if you read the description on each cache because you miss major details like that, dooh!

We soon changed our location and sure enough the cache was quickly spotted by Willis007, unfortunately the log is rather wet so we've signed it the best we could. With this cache done and dusted it's time to head to the final and complete this fabulous series.

After recently completing the Oxley series, Triple Turmoil, NayFee and myself decided to tackle the Mimosa series. I had already done the first 4 but accompanied the others on a lovely Sunday afternoon walk.
Arriving at gz we started looking around a particular structure but didn't find what we were looking for. Reading recent logs, we realised we needed to be looking elsewhere. After shifting our focus, the cache was quickly found.
Thanks Crew 153 for the cache, enjoying the series, and a little sad it's almost finished.

Today Willis007, Nayfee and I decided to make the Mimosa series our mission. Willis007 had already completed some of them but was happy to take us to the first few so we could finish together. We had a late start to the day but did manage to complete the whole series in 6 hrs (with a few side-tracked extra caches).

Looking in wrong spot until Nayfee said to read the description. Very wet log.

19-May-21
We have gradually been making our way through this series, and I getting towards the end. I think this may even be the second last? We came back out for another trip to the area having collected the coordinates for this one in a previous container.
Arriving at GZ, we could see that there is a lot of current work going on in this area… general road improvement etc. We wondered if GZ might also be a part of the recent bulldozing effort, and we’re not sure that we would find what we were seeking. After a good search we got lucky, and there it was.
The log is very wet, and will need replacing.
We collected some more clues for our next visit out here, but now it is almost dark and we are heading home.
Thanks Crew153

My mission after work today was to find a few more caches in this series. All up today I found 3 and this was my second. After finding the last cache I kept on riding my bike and by now it was getting hot . I didn't realise how far I would have to ride to this one but I was rewarded. I didn't read instructions properly so did not notice the offset which was actually great as I checked out the namesake. What a great...... once I went around in circles for awhile I read the description again. Doh. Ok now that seems like a place a cache would hide and yes there it was. I realise I only have one more in this series to go. Thanks for taking me here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy.

Wow! Haven’t been to this area of this ‘park’ before. How different!
At GZ we found the cache in a *very* old log. Contents are a bit damp but otherwise okay. Log was okay to sign.

Thanks heaps for the fun we’re having today finding your caches Crew 153.

Now we’re off to find Toohey.

On our way back from a doctor's appointment, were had a couple of lattes in the car and were looking for a good spot to stop and drink them. This long-ago solved cache was on our way home, so sitting right near GZ we drank our coffees and I got frustrated as, time and time again, I made errors entering the corrected coordinates. Ironically, we ended up using the Waypoint that I'd entered a year or so ago, via the official app, with the map still not displaying the corrected coordinate. Then we got confused because the Waypoint was obviously not a suitable spot to hide a cache, but on re-reading the listing saw the note about the offset. We were unable to work out which way 5 degrees was, but the direction seemed obvious, and the hide was very easy to find as the cache sat in clear view on the ground. It's been 5 months since the cache was last found, and it appears some animal has torn apart the rotting log, but shown no interest in the cache and there it remained while the remains of the log turned to compost. Unfortunately the container had a bit of water inside, which we drained out, and the log book is wet, though still dry enough to be signed. We placed the cache back inside what was left of the rotting log to give it a little protection.
Thanks for another fun hide.

Took two attempts to find a way in to this spot and was surprised by the new dwellings popping up. Not sure I'd want to live here as its too close to major roads and all the moaning and rattling would keep me up at night.

Spotting that the coords were now in the middle of suburbia, applied the offset and fund the hide without troubling the nearby inhabitants. Thanks Crew 153 for maintaining the mimosa series.

Wednesday. Arrived at GZ after marvelling at all the residences. Looked for the hint but noted something about degrees bearing? Not sure about sorting that out in the field, Razz I looked for the really obvious hint and Bingo! There you are. Log signed and cache returned to its spot for future hiders. Only one cache to get now to finish off this lovely series.

This was the 4th of 4 caches found on today's trip.

Thanks ***Crew 153***, for showing us this place. Smile

Another good cache in this series and we just had a small window of opportunity to get to GZ as near as we could before the gates were to close. Luckily for us there was no searching to be done as the container was sitting out in the open. Placed under log with natural camo on it.

Another southside venture - hopefully to find the source of Mimosa today. I've already avenged the problems of M1, and now back on the trail and I have come to the dead centre of the creek. So to speak. I have a cache near a spot like this on the northside ... not a dedication approach I understand (despite the epic storytelling use in films like Buffy the Vampire Slayer). But I digress.

Couldn't get a lock on my position - so the offset was a bit broader than I like, but I hunted far and wide according to the hint to no avail. Plenty of rubbish in here, but no cache. Re-read some past logs and they weren't making much sense ... and then I spotted the cache. Not as per hint - and turns out not by the CO either. It was a throwdown two years ago - albeit a regular sized one. After some discussion with CO I have modified it to include required info for the series, rehidden in the trees, but put small logs on top of it in there. To match the hint[:o)]

Thanks Crew 153 for entertaining me at this location.

After getting my pins scratched up badly by some wait-a-while while trying to be triply careful I needed a cache find to stop the blood flow. Normally I like to be doubly careful but this time was I was being cautious for each testicle.

My daughter was freaking out as we drove around to GZ but I was impressed with some big family money on display. Now I know how the zombies born with a silver spoon in their mouth spend their time. They don’t eat regular brains, they get their brains flown in from Europe and cooked by people like Marco Pierre White (because he’s dead to me after saying that Hollandaise sauce is for simple folk).

The mausoleums (thank you autocorrect) are just out of this world amazing. If I had a relative in one I would cash in and move in for the free rent (and brains from Europe). Nice quick find after almost parking on the hide. tftc

A scorching summer morning was spent riding the trails of Karawatha, Stretton and Kuraby seeking solved puzzles, older hides and a new virtual.

On the way home, a stop was made here. It took some searching before realising the original hint is no longer valid, found instead in a tree fork covered by quite a lot of mulch. Nice to find another in this series.

Today barbbowman and I are out caching together and we thought we would grab some caches we have had on our hit lists for awhile. We had attempted to find this cache nearly a year ago and had had no luck (may have been because we forgot to add the coordinate adjustment - oops!). Today we were in the area, so we went to pay our respects at GZ. They are doing a lot of roadworks here at the moment and although the road was blocked by witches' hats, a very nice workman moved them for us to get to where we needed to be. At GZ we searched and searched and searched with no luck. I was on the verge of giving up when bb found a unique landmark mentioned in a previous log and within 2 seconds she had found the cache. Yay!!!! So pleased to have this log signed Smile Now we can find our last cache of the series, Mimosa - Toohey. TFTC Crew 153 Big Grin

I went home after a DNF and thought about this cache beating me so I returned to the Village once again. It is a very upmarket Village and I am sure I could not afford any of the neat and tidy little homes in any of the suburbs around this cache. Determination won today and found it quickly as I had disregarded the hint and read some of the previous logs. Another "Minosa" bites the dust.

Out with Geopartner to find this cache in the series.
Arrived at GZ and a bit of a wander around had us scratching our heads.
Think this one has had some cache creep.
Better spot anyway as maintenance has a way of upsetting the applecart.
Signed the log and returned to where we found it.

Found with Goldielover here today. We started this series a couple of years ago and never got around to finishing it. Had to start from the beginning again. This one had us guessing a little but it looks like we must have stumbled on the cache by mistake. Was not too sure but a couple of phone calls later confirmed we did find the cache after all.

We've finally finished the series. Hot Wheels Duo and I started this series last year sometime on a night time caching trip and of course it was way past bedtime for the final so we had to leave it. Another day of caching was planned for today so we decided to meet here at GZ.
My word this place is huge and the structures near GZ are intriguing to say the least. By the time I reached GZ, HWD had already found the cache, drained the water, cleaned it out and restocked it. She had also found an entombed glass bottle of some description near the cache. It seems the tree roots have grown around it, it's almost like a window to the underground. Saying that out loud doesn't seem like a good idea considering where we are.
I took a look round over yonda afterwards and soon discovered the meaning behind the cache name.
Thanx again Crew 153, appreciate you keeping this series going.

We have attempted to grab this one on a previous occasion and with four of us searching we had no luck. Today I was searching on my own and it was found in the very first obvious place I looked. The cache and log were a little wet. So while I organised myself I treated them to a dry out under the blasting airconditioning. I drop in a couple of TBs before returning everything to its hide. I rolled up to GZ and there was an old guy with his dog, sitting on a folding chair. I figured it wouldn't be appropriate to begin searching for a cache so I decided to head home for brekky with the family.

At brekky, I mentioned the structures at GZ to the geowife and she was keen to have a look. We also needed to do some shopping so we decided to head back for this one before going to Garden City.

Once at GZ, the old guy had gone and we made a quick, easy find. I was intrigued by the glass bottle or something that the tree seems to have grown on top of. I wonder what it once was and how old it is.

Our plans for today were interrupted by inclement weather, so mid-morning we decided to complete this series which we started in September last year. We invited Gullivers Travels54 to join us, as they had completed a similar number.

What a fascinating place! Those Italians sure put on a great resting place for their dearly departed!

We found the resting place for this cache, too - but by our group reckoning it was some 20 meters away from where we all went to for GZ. After a look af=round, I suggested where I would have hidden it. GT54 moved there are sure enough found the cache.

Log signed and replaced as discovered. Found at 11.50am on 15th September 2016. TFTC.

It had taken us 2 years to come back and finish this series ,so when we were asked by Roddy C if we wanted to find these last few ,we jumped at the chance, this series is out of the ordinary and surprise you at the next turn ,thank you Crew 153 for placing these for us to find

We set off on what we figured would be the correct offset from GZ but didn't look quite right to me? Another spot looked more likely as it fit with some comments in previous logs (I love gleaning through logs for helpful hints or just witty comments in general. I spend more time online reading logs than actually geocaching!)
Anyhow, found the cache in a quite messy area and it was not under a log (now there's a hint).
Logbook very damp and my ink has probably blotted out onto the page by now? Didn't know what to do about it as logbook otherwise looked pretty newish. Just very wet and needs drying out.

Needing a cache for the day, and Mrs LHE Duo joined me to fill a hole on their calendar as well. I have literally driven within a few metres of the final on a couple of occasions, and today finally realised that there was a cache there after applying the require offset.

The GPSr played up a little here though and the search took a little bit longer then it really should. However soon while I was off in one direction Mrs LHE Duo made the call she had found it. We soon had it out and signed with the coords for the next recorded.

Out with OrionJ and we called in here to see if we could find this Càche. I had wanted to come back here after a drive through when we were caching near here not too long ago. We worked out where GZ was and headed off to find the hide. Although it was not exactly where the hint said it did not take too long to locate what we needed. Added our names to the log and rehid the Càche. I have to agree with earmorchiken that this area needs a CITO. TFTC

I was out getting the Research Park cache and noticed on my GPS I had Mimosa Russo loaded up. I asked Mr EMC to check his phone to see if my co-ords were those listed or if they were different. Once I realised they were different, I knew we had to go and do it as it was so close by. I had done a number of the Mimosa caches a while back and must have loaded up the co-ords back then. Off we went and what an awesome adventure. We drove in to the required area and gz seemed a bit strange to us. Until I looked up and noticed the word "Russo". GZ didn't make much sense to us, so Mr EMC looked up the cache and we realised there was an extra step we had to do. I have never seen anything like the buildings near GZ. It was such a amazing place to visit. The kids went around looking inside the buildings and picking flowers and leaving them on the doorsteps. A fav point from the chikins for such a great location. I don't want to give too much away in my log! I'll be back here with the kids when we all have more time to spend. TFTC Crew153.

Out for some caching with Nurseyjulie with a mission to complete this series. At GZ, we searched and searched but were unable to locate the cache. My phone was still not a happy camper, so I want even sure that I was looking in the right place. Nurseyjulie rebooted her phone and was soon able to access what we required. Ahhhh....we need to go over there! Once "over there" I quickly located the cache and we signed the log before we headed off to the next one. TFTC

We took our time diving to the GZ on this one. Once there, we started our search and checked the clue but could not see what we were looking for. After a few minutes, and resetting my phone, I was able to bring up the description again and re-read it. Ah ha theres the information I needed. So we made our way across and Selvagirls managed to locate this unloved hide. TFTC Crew 153

TFTC the cache is in a unlogged log. Russo was found out of sequence but the logs ensured no co-ordinates were needed. Local knowledge helps.

I think I've taken the series a little out of order, but not to worry.
I had a moment today after a nice plate of noodles at Sunny Park to pull in for this one. Ah, all nice and deserted: not a soul around.
Like the previous finder, I forgot to reread the description until at GZ, which clarified things considerably. I wondered if by some chance you had done something clever here in relation to the name: of course you had!
Soon I was prowling around a dodgy dumping ground, or more likely a flood zone complete with scary looking waterholes.
I inspected a tree at the right spot (I guess you could call that a pre-log) and found the cache safe and sound. Just a few more to get now and the Mimosa trail will be complete so TFTC and another interesting locale.

I always feel a little weird knowing I am not entering a cemetery to pay my respects to the dead. I try and behave in a sombre manner, and be respectful...it's just damn hard on a motorbike!
I parked nearby and after a search realise I should have read the description better...hmm...oh, over there!
I had to be careful not to attract the attention of gents on their prayer mats facing Mecca to my nefarious deeds. Not to worry I was soon hidden from view, and had a cache quickly in hand.
Log signed, last set of coordinates obtained.
We'll I can't stop now, can I? only one in the series to go....

Look everywhere around recommended gz. Read other notes and reslised the hint no longer applied to the hide. Readjust and search again. Found it in a nice hidding spot.
Signed log, back in the car, ops! forgot to write down the next coordinates.
Put the coordinates in, near to a nearby cache I just found. Not enough time this morning.

Well, if I'd bothered to read the description I wouldn't have been surprised by how far off the coords the cache turned out to be Big Grin

I did have a look around at the nearby creations which I find quite distasteful. It's one thing to flaunt wealth in this life but perhaps no need in the afterlife. I bet the money would be better spent by a local charity. This is a huge property but I guess it's a growth industry Wink

I located GZ by deducing where it could be as we have already ascertained that I can't follow instructions. Cache in good nick but Hint doesn't match the type of hide. Container may have been moved to keep it dry, eh?

Only one more Mimosa puzzle to log!!! This is Log #2,070.

TFTC Crew153, disregard the updated coords I sent you... Doh!

Met up with DiamonJs to finish this series. We enjoyed some of the amazing sights near GZ and had a great discussion about how much wealth doesn't help you in the after life. We were all looking in the wrong place but thankfully Mrs THR was with us and had the cache in hand quickly. We were thankful to have this one done with only one left to go. TFTC and series Crew153

We, the Hunting Rabbits and I can smell the end in sight, but while are bemused by the local scenery I have to admit I could wander around looking for hours. Mrs THR very quickly had this in hand while we were looking in all the wrong places, sometimes you should not read the hints! Cache had water in it and log is a little damp. Now onto the last yayyy. Had been to this one the week before but ran out of time back then. With more time to search this time round the cache was soon located. Tftc

This was my last cache for the morning and number 6 of the Mimosa series. It was nice to be at GZ as a dear friend is here. Found WP1 easily and soon had an adjusted WP2. It looked pretty scarey where it was pointing but in I ventured. Spend a good half hour searching based on the hint. I then took the time to read some previous logs and that made it so much easier. Log signed and returned and all in good nick. TFTC

EggInTheSky and I were out on a quest to clear the Mimosa series in one evening. As you will have guessed, we didn’t make it. Not through lack of determination, ability or time. No we had those things. It’s just that it’s hard to do a whole series in one night when one cache is only accessible in the day.

D’oh

Yes cachers, it is worth reading the cache details before leaving home.

So we were parked at the gates to the cemetery trying to decide whether we were going to be cache ghouls or not. I am pretty happy to stretch the interpretation of some rules but we both felt that opening times at the graveyard was not something to quibble with.

Due to the clever setup of the series however, we already had the coords for the last cache, so we left Rosso unfound and headed towards Toohey.

Looks like I need to pay more attention to descriptions... I knew something was awry when I got to GZ, no hiding options here.... aha I should be over there! I haven't worked out how to do a bearing on the iPhone so I guessed where it should be. I'm sure it caused a few more searching minutes than necessary but I got the in the end Big Grin.

I've also got into a habit of putting waypoints on the last cache I was on... Which doesn't help much when I look up the hint for the last cache!

There certainly are some impressive sites in here... Lots of labourers in here today constructing concrete mausoleums and the like.

Cheers for another one Crew153

Out and about with teamdfl for 2 crazy days of hunting Smile

A bit of a struggle to wind our way to the corrected co-ords, but we got there eventually. We searched as much as we felt comfortable with, but no joy Sad Now what? Hmmm, perhaps we should read the Description? Ahh, that's useful. Cache soon discovered, but the logbook was a mess. dfl had some supplies so we have replaced the logbook and bag, and CITO'd the old one. I took a photo if the CO wants to see it. TFTC, Crew 153.

Out with IolantheK for 2 days of fun and adventure. This was not our best effort for the day. A minor false start on the way to GZ due to slightly dodgy online maps. Rethink and GZ was reached. Really? Is there a hint? Really? What do the recent logs say? Ah maybe we should read the description!!! LOL. Off to the correct GZ and it was found easily Smile

With our information from previous caches we made our way into this huge cemetery. We found our spot and did the projection. We found the cache, but have to say it is more than a bit damp - no, make that soaking wet. We didn't have any spares with us today.
Thanks, Robmc.

An so in to the cemetery and past the graves and the crypts and finally onto the spot to make the projection from.
We noted the last log and duly found the cache high and dry in the fork of the tree except the contents were anything but dry. Impossible to sign the soggy mess of logbook. Etched our names into the cover and replaced. It will need maintenance soon, very much on the nose.

We followed the directions of the Captain into the cemetery, we were amazed by the size of some of the headstones and gravesite that first met us and then as we rounded a corner closer to GZ we startled to seen the crypts. After pulling up Gaz headed of in seach of the cache while the captain attempted to adjust the co-ords in his GPSr that he had gotten wrong. Before long the cache was in hand and was lets say water logged.. after a quick clean up from Captain Terror the cache was replaced and we were off.

Wow, this cache was an experience. I knew I had family members near here - somewhere as we arrived. Gaz followed the GPS and we drove past some most impressive graves. Then we got to the.. shall I call them crypts? I have never seen anything like them before and grand as they are, I find the idea a bit freaky. Some massive money has gone into some of them. It turned out when I checked the co-ords at our parking, that I had entered them incorrectly. A quick fix up and application of the offset and I headed off to line the numbers up. It seems though Gaz went charging off and quickly found the cache. The area is a bit grubby, but the cache.. it was half full of water.. muddy water.. stinky, muddy water. Girly Gaz wasn't having a bar of it so Captain Careless was elected to salvage a logbook. I emptied the water out and it smelt.. not good. The logbook was a sodden mess and could not be signed. We found a bag in the car and took out all the swaps - they were proper ruined. We left the logbook though, not much we could do to help it unfortunately. Thankfully we already had the co-ords it provided from the last cache in the series, so I just replaced it. I put it back in a fork so that it is not sitting on/in the wet ground below.

A very nice place, I always like cemeteries was just a little shame about the cache. TFTC Crew 153 Smile

Remember to apply the offsets! This done, we quickly located the cache. It seems there was some water through here but the cache is fine although doesn't match the hint. Thanks Crew 153

An interesting cache that took us to an interesting area. We found some parking and set about the find - which Loki found in no time - and in good condition. We took a bit of a scenic route out of the area to have a look around. TFTC Crew 153 Smile

5/05/10 4.45pm - while out with rhesusfactor completing a multi nearby, decided to find this one on our way home. Have seen similar structures in Ingham cemetery which has a large Italian community too. Had a little trouble finding GZ amongst all the rubbish lying around but after checking all around found in the most likely spot. Lots of mozzies! May need a bit of a trash removal here sometime. TFTC.

Last one for the day, lovely italian mausoleums about here. Cache is not under a log like the hint said. shame there is so much litter about.

Well, I have never seen anything quite like the brick structures here... Impressive I guess but a little over the top for me... [^]

I was worried about how I might find a way into GZ at first but then found the obvious entry that took me to within 5m of the container... Wink

Cache is still there and in good condition.

Cheers Crew153.

Too much rubbish around GZ. It may be there but I wasn't comfortable sticking my hands in some of those places. Perhaps next time.

Next time I'll read the Cache description before I set out.. I got to the gates and discovered the opening hours. Not wanting to be locked in, I had to give this one a miss until next time. I'll be back!
