After an awesome event called "Winsome Wishart's Wondrous Waypoints", we continued to look for some more caches. We found this one and signed the log. Tftc Crew 153
TFTC smile 17235 out and about on a lovely day Signed as GS1947 With geofriends TBU been looking for oldies and after yesterday's Event we went and found the 4 I needed Thank you Crew 153 for placing this cache for our enjoyment
Todays plan was to visit the Nathan area to find a couple of solved puzzles. I started early to avoid the heat. I noticed Davidwazzas suggested coordinates, so headed in that direction first. As others mentioned, there is some nasty bush and I became entangled in lawyer vine but amazingly didnt lose any blood. Once I stopped and looked, I saw an obvious log which was a bit closer to the solved coordinates and there was even a bit of a geotrail to it. Great to find this final in the series though I still have one more further back to find. The cache hasnt been found in almost a year but it is in great condition. Tftc
It was when I visited Clump on 30/01/2022, that I was able to get this geocache's final coordinates. I was thinking that this may be my last cache to find in Mimosa, but I've yet to start the Oxley series (perhaps a target for 2023).
Today, I needed to run an errand to Annerley, and so after a pleasant morning tea with friends, I made a few stops, which included Weller Road Park, and Toohey Forest Park. My plan was to target [Iniduoh](https://coord.info/GCH4DC) and [Get Rekt 3: Toohkeyo Drift](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/5f8af3eb-d28e-41a4-a5fe-af03bda75f02) Adventure Lab. I decided to pack quite light so I could jog/run different sections, but without packing much water or food, I was quite tired by the end of my visit given the large expanse of Toohey Forest that I covered.
I can certainly understand why everyone has had issues here - the growth and leaf debris is on another level. There is so much vegetation in addition to the spiky ivy about, and I think I got slashed a few times. I tried to think of a few of the luckier finders who mentioned they just came across the cache / IPS, rather than scratching around through vegetation and undergrowth, and so attempted to make loops of the area. After about 10 minutes of searching, the luck came my way, and I stumbled across the cache, about 8-10 m away from the coordinates. For the record, I found the cache at S +0.005' E -0.001', just in case that helps any future visitors. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Crew 153 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 09/2005 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 500 oldest yet active geocaches.

Muggle65 and l must have looked like axe murderers today. Another path user certainly wanted to be nowhere near us
Working our way slowly through this series we wandered out to this one and managed to score a part near the path. Relatively easy find and making our way back onto the path a woman walked past & gave us a suspicious look and started to walk faster and outpaced us, occasionally looking back.
I’ve had these coordinates for awhile… but never seem to be close to GZ at a user friendly time…
Today was ideal, so here I am…
I must have approached from the correct direction because I spotted the container on my way towards GZ…

Catching up on some logs after my recent Brisbane trip. Many thanks for this cache. Favourite Point from me.
We tried to get into a few caches in Toohey forest a few days ago but because of the permit parking we thought we would come back today to park legally on the Ring Road at the Uni.
We spent far too long looking for this cache but found it in the end IPS. Signed and returned to a hide. Cache was about 8 mtrs out.

Weekends are the best time to get some of these caches as we were able to park in the UNI. Our little group set off to get Research Park but I already had it then further down the track to this elusive cache. I had been here before looking for it but unsuccessful but today I was making sure we had it. Climbed around the thorny area and climbing over hidden logs in the overgrowth. We made a few calls of help but no success and eventually got a call back from CO just as I called out here it is. Co-ords were a little out, log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC
Out today to grab 7 oldies from Crew 153. Thank you for keeping these caches going. Had lots of fun finding them. I did need to Paf a few times for help on a couple of them.
So now Mimosa series finished and one to go on the Oxley series to go.
Plus 3 for for a new challenge on the Northside.
So I found 10 for today. The breakdown was 7 mystery, 2 earthcache and a multi.
Sorry for the generic log.

Last of the Mimosa series that I started on 2019 ... Have definitely enjoyed finding these ones, esp the highly memorable M1, and the protracted hunt for McGregor (which spanned 2 years)! Was great to finish the last few with caching buddy Wayn0 too. The final took a fair bit of hunting but the coords and hint turned up the guy in his hiding hole. Thanks for creating and maintaining this excellent series; having original logs from 16 years ago was impressive. Nice work on those hides.
An early mark from work and a couple of hours to kill before school pickup sees me driving over to the Southside to finish off the mimosa series of caches and a few as I passed by.
The mimosa series was of particular interest as it fills in some older caches that I have been targeting. It was a great series and one that kept me entertained and took me to a lot of different areas and unusual spots, thank you.
Oh the last one in the series and I was a little upset that the series had come to an end, I had enjoyed driving around and collecting these ones. The final was a walk along the pathway and then a buck off into the bush land. I took the wrong way in and got scratched up by those thorny vines, it looked like I had been attacked by a tiger, small streams of blood all over the front and backs of my legs. Oh well you’re not caching if you’re not bleeding is my line. Very happy to have found the cache and to sign the log. I replaced all as found and made my way out in a less dramatic way.
Thanks for the series and a favourite point for the group will be added here.

Thought I had time for one more cache. Lovely deserted area for a walk. I got kucky and stumbled across this quite quickly. Grabbed the TB to move on. Thank you Crew 153 for entertaining me today with your caches.
Back to complete this series after collecting the coordinates for it a few months ago.
Actually forgot there was one more cache in this series to complete. A good bush bash to finish this one with the scratched legs to prove it. Didn’t think this one would be found but a hop and a skip, and then another hop and a skip from where the GPS was pointing, and the angle was right to spot the corner of the cache.

Out with TripleTurmoil, Willis007 and Bella the Geodog for a day of caching on the south side while paying close attention to the Mimosa series and grabbing a couple other caches along the way.
What an adventure. We didn't think we would be able to complete the series in one day and sure enough we did, in total it took us roughly 6 hours to complete, give or take a couple of caches in between.
We finally arrived at the final destination and got to work, however GZ was infiltrated by those nasty grabby wait a while plants and I sure had to at times because it kept on getting caught on everything, my legs, my clothes, everything, I even have several battle wounds to prove it.
We navigated through the area without much luck at first, this cache could be anywhere under this stuff. We read a few logs stating that they had to expand their search area a little, so we did just that, and after a more thorough search Willis007 shouted out that two words "Found it" and what I sigh of relief that was, I have cuts all over me and was super keen to sign the log and get the hell out of there. I've had enough for the day.
Thank you Crew153 for this series and for keeping these caches alive for us to enjoy.

After recently completing the Oxley series, Triple Turmoil, NayFee and myself decided to tackle the Mimosa series. I had already done the first 4 but accompanied the others on a lovely Sunday afternoon walk.
Heading to gz, we took the hard way in and spent a while clambering around finding nothing. We reviewed previous logs and took note of a specific thing. After changing the area of focus, the cache was then quickly found.
Thanks Crew 153 for a very enjoyable series, another fav from me.

Today Willis007, Nayfee and I decided to make the Mimosa series our mission. Willis007 had already completed some of them but was happy to take us to the first few so we could finish together. We had a late start to the day but did manage to complete the whole series in 6 hrs (with a few side-tracked extra caches).
Such an achievement to finish this series. We did take the hard way to the cache, through all the lantana. As Chamad lovingly says to us, "If you are not bleeding, you are not caching!"
Crew, thank you for not only creating this series, but for maintaining it for so long to keep the love of adventure alive for many for all of us.

The final in the series for us. All up, I guess this series has taken well over a year to complete.
We had begun the series, and then it was put to the side.
With renewed vigour, we made our way through three or four more fairly recently. With only one to go we had wondered whether we might do it a few weeks back, however it was getting dark at the time and we decided to let this one wait.
Today on our way home, We were able to make the find and have now completed all of them.
This was a lovely series. We were forever being detectives and having found one geocache, being lead on to another one. We know a lot more now about the creek and the areas it runs through.
Thanks Crew153. A definite favourite point.

After work I decided to take a bike ride around here and collect a few smiley. All up I rode just under 10km and found 7 caches and this was my main target for today. I have really enjoyed doing this series and it was so exciting to find this last cache. Near gz I tied up my bike and went for a little walk . I did find the cache so quick that I was back and on my bike in no time. Thankyou for all the fun in this series. Definately deserves a FP FOR all the fun.
My second time to look for this cache, Tenkae's first and Snickersallan's third. And the winner is ... Snickersallan!
Thanks for the cache Crew 153. Enjoyed the hunt.

Finally got the monkey off my back, third visit and wasn't planning on coming back, already had enough scratches from previous attempts so I was very persistent that we find this cache today. Sundays are mostly muggle free here but there were heaps walking and riding around today, and some wondering what we three ladies were doing in the bush! After about five minutes with each of us searching in a different area we finally came up with the find, phew! Thanks CO for the illusive hide, have one more in the series to go.

What a lovely walk through the forest. By the time we got to Toohey it was late afternoon and the trees seemed ‘full’ of currawongs. Delightful to hear.
This cache took us ages to find... but find it we did!!
Our GPS said it was 13m away from GZ. Only spotted *that* log when we approached from another direction. You choose your hides well. The log is well covered in vines. And well off the path.
How sweet it feels to complete this entire series today. A fav point for sure for the fun we had.
Thanks heaps Crew 153.

Last night I drew a 50 kilometre circle around my house to see what caches we could get to. I even walked into the back corner of the yard to get an extra 10 metres if needed and with a plan and a prayer, Mrs Woodyrothwell and I came out to fix a few DNFs and get a walk on.
Last time I was here, I was wearing shorts and lost to a knockout in the first round against some brutish wait-a-while. I had so many scratches and blood on my legs, I looked like a raspberry popsicle (and probably tasted just as good too). Today we were dressed appropriately in long pants and had a bit of bravado to spare.
Into the fray we went, trampling down any weeds or spikes that stood to oppose us. It was cold enough to be wearing jumpers so we pulled our sleeves down to cover our hands like makeshift gloves. We spent a bit of time looking in the wrong spot before Mrs Woodyrothwell went further afield and found the cache hanging out a bit and a safe way back to the path. DNF Avenged! tftc

Good walk in the forest here but got attacked by a wait a while that wrapped around my leg near GZ!!! Final of Mimosa collected!
If I knew then what I know now!! After collecting the coords for this one from Russo, stupidly relied on the GPS which took me all the way to the PA Hosp and back again, around the corner from where I started. Was not a happy chappy!!
Found a likely trail which went no where, so went bush bashing and just before arriving at GZ found a paved power trail just a few steps away from GZ. Again left the customary blood sacrifice from the never say die wait-a-whiles. This was the last Mimosa found today and one needed to complete the series. Thanks Crew 153 for setting up the series.

Saturday. Yay! Got this one this time round. Had a chat to a previous finder and I discovered I was only about 2, possibly 3 metres away from this one when I came here before. Turns out we’d actually come on the same day last time! I made sure I wore pants that didn’t grab onto spikey vines today. Plenty of car parking too – made a special trip for this cache this weekend, as I had to park in front of a long line of cars last time and wondered if I’d come back to a parking ticket waiting for me Cache container is definitely there and in good condition, as is the log book. Glad to put my name onto the log. I think I put the wrong date [8)]. Well worth the trip to grab the last cache in this series. Now for the drive home in all the very thick haze and smoke that is our early spring this year. Loved this series.
This was the 2nd of 2 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Crew 153***, for showing us this place.

Many moons since I began this series and it must have been a few months since I logged the one before this one.
A few parking spots had become available in the afternoon.
Spotted a great place for a cache on the way, too close to an existing cate though.
The vines as GZ are spiky indeed! Followed a path and arrived at a possible place, found nothing, read the hint, reversed out and came in from a new direction.
Suddenly I spotted it!
Thank you Crew 153 for this series of ? caches

Our third DNF for the day
We spent quite some time in the gz with our torches plus cuts and tripping over the spiky vines! Wish I knew how to set my gps!
Thanks Crew 153, we will back in broad daylight!!! Lol
At least we know where to park next time around.
Cheers, E

It is now dark and armed with our trusty torches we made this one our last before heading home to the GC. Well we searched and searched but obviously not in the right area. My GPS had me close to the track and after reading previous logs I needed to go through the prickly vines but it was to dark to see properly down there. Will return some other time in the daylight hours for a better look.

Another southside venture - hopefully to find the source of Mimosa today. I've already avenged the problems of M1, and now on the final trail. I trundled in at the wrong angle so bush bashed nearly all the way to GZ - when I crossed the bitumen path. Sigh. Then down to GZ. Like WoodyR says - those vines are nasty nasty nasty. I came in probably from the angle he did - and that wasn't going to lead anywhere useful. So I backed out and came in from somewhat further south - possibly what Miss_D did as there is a geotrail of sorts.. A bit easier anyway, until the end, but no joy. The hint is specific, and nothing was popping for me. Back out again, twisting and turning through the thorny vines when the corner of my eye spied blue. Plastic blue.
A cache, as promised, and I must have stepped literally over the top of it before turning back .... some people eh?
A great final, and I feel like I have earned the accomplishment of this series. Another FP for the series (I think a few others along he way as well). I t feels GOOOOOD ... and still morning so a Mimosa shall have to wait a little bit.
Thanks Crew 153 for entertaining me at this location.

Being in this area to pick up another puzzle we decided to collect this one after attending an event this morn. Reading the last log I was a bit worried, but we walked on the geotrail straight to the cache and there seemed to be a lizard scuttling off as we approached. Love this bushland tftc
Aww snap! This DNF is more of a lost too much blood to actually search for the cache thing. GZ is currently being overgrown with lovely sharp spiky vines and even being extremely careful I found myself bleeding everywhere. The cache most definitely has to be there because no one is coming close unless they are wearing a hazmat suit. I will definitely be wearing long pants, long sleeves, a suit of armour and carrying a flame thrower next time I visit. Thanks anyway
Today barbbowman and I are out caching together and we thought we would grab some caches we have had on our hit lists for awhile.
Our next cache on the list was Mimosa-Toohey, the last of the Mimosa caches for us to complete the series. Parking did prove tricky, however the caching gods were on our side and we managed to find a free park that I could actually get the new big blue truck into (it took lots of toing and froing but it was the first time I have reverse parked it, so I was feeling a bit pleased with myself ). We didn't have far to walk and we soon found ourselves near GZ... hmmmm, what's the best way in? bb led the way and we soon had the cache in our hands. TFTC Crew 153 and thanks for the series

Last one for the day and the end of the Mimosa Series for us.
This one gave me the longest walk which I enjoyed.
Set off leaving Geopartner not far from the geomobile and I headed to GZ.
Once there I had to negotiate my way in and soon had the cache in hand.
GPS lead me straight to it.
Signed the log and returned it to where I found it.
On the way back I came across a guy doing strange antics in the area which I was unsure if he was doing Kung Fu or pretending he was wearing those new fangled glasses that do halograms at work.
Most weird. Passed by and hurried on my way.

Found with stairman1. We started this series in 2011 and decided it was time to finish it. With no Geodog anymore to accompany us, it was lonely to do these. We couldn't decide which way to go but eventually found the right way. All good here. So glad to finish this series. Thanks for the hard work in putting out this series.
Found with Goldielover here today. We started this series a couple of years ago and never got around to finishing it. Had to start from the beginning again. Had lots of fun exploring the great areas you took us. Even lost a little blood. Fed some mozzies. Scared some wild life. Had a little drama at this one though as we had to search a wider area than usual. Probably around 10 metres away.
A fantastic series.

I have collected most of the rest of this series over the past few months and this one is one of only two left to find. As I was nearby doing a couple of other puzzles, I decided to come and grab this one.
The walk in was quite pleasant and I spotted a monitor lizard as well as a blue tongue. I also spotted a frill necked lizard (I think) near the creek at GZ.
Once at GZ, I stomped around in circles looking for a likely hide or even anything matching the hint and eventually, after widening my search area, eventually found a likely hide which did, in fact, contain the cache.
I took the TB.

I had collected a TB a month ago that wanted to only be placed in puzzle caches. Being someone who finds puzzles hard they are not a cache type I generally do as I can't solve them (unless of course they are sudoku or karuko style of puzzles). I was kind of freaking out what to do with this TB. The only two puzzles which I had solved but not yet found were micros. I started looking at the zillion of blue question marks on my map trying to find a cache to put this TB in and then I saw Mimosa. I knew I still have two of these to find so with great relief I knew the TB had a home. Today was the day to go out on a lovely walk to find this cache. GPS was going crazy so I just resorted to logic and put on my Max Hat and cache was found straight away. Thanks for giving Lincoln and I a lovely morning walk today.
Our plans for today were interrupted by inclement weather, so mid-morning we decided to complete this series which we started in September last year. We invited Gullivers Travels54 to join us, as they had completed a similar number.
We were able to park in the Uni grounds and just walk across to the pathway to find this cache. Quick find to end a great series. Thanks Crew 153!
Log signed and replaced as discovered. Found at 12.15pm on 15th September 2016. TFTC.

It had taken us 2 years to come back and finish this series ,so when we were asked by Roddy C if we wanted to find these last few ,we jumped at the chance, this series is out of the ordinary and surprise you at the next turn ,thank you Crew 153 for placing these for us to find
Well we did it! We finished the whole Mimosa series and found every cache
The Geowife did all this series with me as well, and we both enjoyed the series so much I'm putting a favourite on this one for the series. We have certainly seen some interesting spots along Mimosa Creek now that we wouldn't have had a clue about if not for taking up Geocaching

Unfortunately, one of the Mimosa series escaped us as the cemetary was closed by now and with security wandering around we decided against squeezing through the fence! LOL However, we could still get this one although I was a bit spooked given stories I have heard of Toohey Forest.....and with phones jumping around we looked and looked and looked until finally MM spotted it. Log signed and we were out again!
Well unfortunately HotWheelsDuo and I didn't get to finish the series because one is placed somewhere you can't get to at this hour of the night so this one ended up being the last find in the series.
I recently came up here to specifically find Research Park. Having never been here before I was surprised at the track network and the amazing forest. I wondered why there wasn't more caches on the map in here and thought to myself maybe it's full of mystery caches. Well it looks like I was probably right.
Somehow we managed to get a park, then it was just a casual stroll down the path to GZ. That was the easy part. The next 10 minutes or so was spent trying to find the little bugger. Both of us were going around in circles for a bit but eventually I spotted a likely location, not that end but the other.
Another one that might be easier during day light hours.
Thanx again Crew153. Loved the series, hopefully we get to finish it off soon.

Well this series has been a labour of love and I can finally say, we have completed it.
It all started back in December 2009 (just after we started geocaching) when I got asked for help to find Whipbird with RhesusFactor (our son). After finally finding it we continued on to find McGregor on the same day. 2 weeks later I found Roly by myself.
The next ones in this series we found (Rh+ and I) was Clump and then Russo in May 2010.
Fast forward to April 2014 when Hubby and I decided to start the series from the beginning, so found Sandpit, M1, and Whirlpool. Now we only had Mimosa - Toohey to find to finish this series.
Well a few months ago, I was checking my map of unfound caches close by and realised we still hadn't got this one. I had lost my notes with the final co-ords so while passing Mimosa - Russo one day, stopped by and re-found Russo and noted the final co-ords.
Today we decided to pick up a few caches and this was top of my list as well as Pegg's Watch. We had no problems parking nearby and took the walk in to find this one as well as Research Park. Arrived at entry point and ventured into the bush in search of this one. Spiky vines put a stop to the geohounds helping with the search, so I returned to the path while hubby started looking for the cache. After about 5 mins and help with the hint, cache was finally found. YIPPEE!!!! We can finally put this one in the completed pile.
Thanks Crew153 for the series and journey with geocaching. A Favourite from us...

I needed to get out and find a cache today to fill in one of the last squares on my Calendar, it was later int he afternoon before I thought about it and realised this was almost one of the closest to home.
So I headed over and parked in an area that I had a couple of times before, and set off along the path. I soon came to where it appeared I would need to leave the path and set off picking my way being careful to avoid anything with any sort of thorn on it. Which actually worked out pretty well in the end.
However my time spent here turned out to be a bit more then I expected. First I started having a look around and nothing was really showing up. So a little bit of a look at the hint and that really did not help, so I think I went round in a very similar pattern to most others, but eventually coming back towards GZ from another angle I come across something that worked.
Sure enough found the container in there. Got it all signed and checked the GPS and it was a couple of meters off, but not by to far.

Out with Nurseyjulie...on a mission to finish this series. Here we are at the final!!! We found a parking spot not too far away and strolled along a nice track to GZ. When our phones told us it was time, we headed off the track. I was grabbed by thorns and vines as I searched. Thats not going to stop me from finding the cache! Based on earlier in the day, I decided to ignore my phone. I read some previous logs before putting it in my pocket. I watched as Nurseyjulie searched a certain spot and then moved on. Something in the earlier logs rang a bell and I moved to the opposite end from where Nurseyjulie had been searching. Next thing you know, I had a smile on my face as I spotted the cache, safely tucked away. We signed the log and rehid the cache before making our way back through the vines to the track. TFTC and the series. I had a lot of fun with this series
The final in this series!! We parked not far away and walked along a nice even path towards the GZ. We had read the previous logs and we knew we would probably be a little while in our search. Selvagirls had one area and I searched another. The spot I chose I looked into the wrong end and slipped down a little on my hands. Then Selvagils decided to check the other end... and we had the container in no time! Happy dance for finding another unloved cache! All good with this one. TFTC and the series Crew153
Thank goodness for that!
After being muggled out of finds last night and this morning, I was getting a bit cranky and decided to take it out on this nemesis cache. Back to the same parking area, down the same track and into the same GZ. After gaining all the advice from that previous finder I could muster, I was confident of making progress, but again got nowhere. I expanded my search into one zone, more to the North, I think, but nothing happened. I jumped on lots of vines to no avail and went round and round the same old circuits.
Finally I texted SF some more to see if I really was in the right place, but it was hard to ascertain it. Finally, I moved my search into another zone to the South and nearer the creek, and at last I spotted new possibilities. The first was empty but pushing my way in on the other side finally produced the result I wanted. What a relief! Needless to say, as soon as I arrived, my phone wanted to say I was only a few metres off, but it certainly hadn't pointed just here any other time.
Some interesting ingredients inside the cache still, but all I wanted was to sign the log and split. At least I had doused myself in Bushmans so well that the mozzies left me alone for a change. I was still saturated in sweat and very mentally drained.
TFTC and series which I am very thankful to have now completed fully. Thanks also to SF for putting up with my increasingly desperate whining!

Previous finder has been onsite and can confirm the cache is as he found it!
I came in confidently but that soon changed as I searched all over to no avail. A previous finder has offered to check it out soon which would be awesome. Still looking forward to wrapping up the series... Sometime?
Disappointed! Area looks pretty overgrown as it was a wet Summer. After a lengthy search, I had to call it quits. I'll seek advice and hope to be back to wrap this great series.
I had only left this area a few hours ago, and here I was back again. I parked where I usually do each Monday night to avoid the Parking Nazi's and paying to park, and set off up the hill. I recall having been in the are once before, though am struggling to remember which cache, but it was a really pretty walk to finish off the series. At GZ I soon had to leave the track and found the local Flora a bit of a struggle to navigate through without tripping, though me tripping over is nothing new!.
I struggled a bit here, and too a good 15 minutes before I released what I should have done 10 minutes ago...D'oh!
Thanks so much for the great series Crew153. Most enjoyable indeed.

Finally... going to complete the Mimosa series this morning! A week of relative inactivity glued to the desk and I was looking forward to getting into the scrub.
Naturally, my boots were in the boot and my tootsies were struggling in the Dunlop Volleys. Why, oh why, didn't I change my shoes? Of course, I took the wrong path and was on the wrong side of the creek. We have already ascertained that I'm always on the wrong side of the water. Nothing to see here
At GZ or thereabouts I couldn't see anything that matched the Hint. Expanded my search in an ever increasing circle of nasty wait-awhile and bitey ants and eventually went back to a spot I'd checked previously. Oh there's the cache... *sighs*
Relieved to have weathered Mimosa and what a journey it was! Thoroughly enjoyed this jaunt!
TFTC Crew 153, really really trippy Or is that the effects of the poisonous plants? (he he)

Final cache in the series and we were finishing it off with DiamonJs. After a drive through GU to allow DiamonJs to pick up a few more we parked and headed up the trail. GPS bounced around and an extended search revealed nothing. DiamonJs and Dr THR were busy searching when...hey......Mrs THR had it hand and was busy signing the log. We were so happy to have this one found and the series successfully completed. We were so happy that we did as the logbook said "Contact Crew153". TFTC and series Crew153. A favourite point from us for a very well constructed series.
Wow the last, Mr THR knew where to park and we were off, hmm not there, hmmm not there, GPS is bouncing, then a gentle laugh from MRS THR. Thank you Crew153 this series has shown me places I did not know were there. Thank you the Hunting Rabbits, I enjoyed finishing the series with you. I give it a favourite point for the whole series. I had found another cache not far away on a previous occasion so knew a good parking spot and what I thought was the right track to GZ. A 100m or so up a dirt track my GPS soon indicated that this track was not going to take me where I wanted to be. 150m bush bash through the scrub inevitably led to a nice bitumen path (as is always the way) that I should have taken to start with. Wandered around at GZ for some time with the clue not shedding any further light. A read of the logs lead to me expanding the search and a cache was soon spied. Followed the bitument path almost straight back to the car. Tftc.
A sunny Saturday to be out and about looking for geocaches.
My mission today is the Mimosa series.
YIPPEE I found them all.
Though I did get bitten by a bl^&%#ly big ant at this one.

EggInTheSky and I were out and about. We had thought to do the full Mimosa series in one evening and apart from the obvious flaw in this plan we had done well and were at the final.
Being late at night by this time, parking was easy and we were up the paths and into the brush and at GZ pretty quick.
Then we started the searching.
Our phones were bouncy and we were tired.
Eggs found where the cache was but had her muggle goggles on and failed to actually see it sitting just there.
We searched some more.
I looked everywhere else and decided to double check where Eggs had looked and bingo!
We were pretty knackered, and were scratched and covered with spider web but full of that ‘mission completed’ joy.
Thanks Crew 153 for the fantastic series and all your efforts placing it and keeping it maintained over the years. I think M1 was the high point for me, but we had a great time chasing the whole series.
I wanted to mention that while searching for this one two different frogs were nearby making their calls into the night. These little things you don’t get at home on your couch are some of what makes this such a great game.
Also if you have followed this story you will be pleased to know that Eggs got her days’ worth of steps in for the day with the walking we did after midnight.

Bloody hell that was hard . Thanks for the series, I'll do some editing of the logs tonight.
Edit: I parked at research park as I'm familiar with the area for work... I took a entry in I have used before for another Crew153 cache, but I took the wrong turn! I turned right instead of left and found myself clambering over the hill.... Never mind, I can use the exercise. Luckily enough no Joe Blake's... I have seen a few around here while cycling through the area. Saw a carpet snake the length of a traffic lane once, I had to jump it on the bike so I didn't ride over it! Going too fast to stop at that stage...
I got to 30 or so from GZ and nothing for it but to dive in. I did the cacher's waltz round & round for about 10 min... Then I tried the other side of the creek...nope.... Back to the other side, but I took a few minutes to be still, enjoy the bush & hope for inspiration....whaddya know, there it is!
Yeeha! Series complete. Thanks Crew, I love these waterways series. Interesting to see how the waterways track through our suburbs & the health of them at certain places!
So this is the end of the series & the start of Mimosa!

Out and about with teamdfl for 2 crazy days of hunting
Almost dark by the time we reached GZ for this one and we had not brought torches, so the search was conducted by iPhone lights Took us ages to spot the hide as the GPS's were going crazy under the trees, but we spread the field a bit wider and tenacity won out! TFTC and series, Crew 153. A favourite point from me as I'm very glad to finish it off.

Out with IolantheK for 2 days of fun and adventure. Our caching senses were lacking for this one too. Almost came unstuck with our choice of route to GZ, but a scenic tour of the cemetery got us there eventually. Starting to get dark. Will we take a torch? Nah, she'll be right. Another detour en route for a find for IlontheK. GZ reached eventually. Oh it's dark in here. Hunting, looking. Hint checked. Hunting, looking. Ouch those vines are nasty. Extended our search area and finally found it. My but it's dark in here now ;-D Thanks for another great series Crew153.
A nice walk along the track brought us to the final of this series (we still had two to go at this stage).
As Feathertop mentioned, we had a bit of a battle with the vegetation, but eventually found the cache.
Thanks for the series, Robmc.

A week ago we had started with Sandpit and now we came to the end with Toohey. We still had Clump to find but that would be done within the hour. McGregor, well we never got off the ground on that one.
The final of this series did not give up its secrets easily and the mass of pricly plants and vines took its oll on our bodies until Rob uttered the immmortal cry "I've found it"
Thanks for an engrossing sereis Crew 153

Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
After a long day hunting around the earlier cache in the series we arrived, and slowly made our way towards this one, with a bit of a pit stop for a nearby cache. We then ventured off the track towards GZ, after a few spikey vines attacking us we had arrived, the hunt was on. It took a few minutes for the cache to be located but we got there in the end

With Gaz'n'Kab here today and glad to be at the final of this series. We parked at a familiar spot to me and the path we took also felt all too familiar. I see what you've done here Mr. 153. Being a Sunday, muggles were sparse, so so near GZ, we were cleared for a dive in and a good look about. The vines here sure are spiky and we all copped a good deal of them to legs and one that I rammed my face through accidentally. The GPS zeroed out and it was Gaz that spotted the beast.
How about that, the whole series save for one we bowled over in a day, and most enjoyable the whole way. Many thanks Crew 153 for a superb day out in suburbia

Finally finally finally I returned to complete the series. No excuses for having left it this long I'm afraid . Jogged along the familiar path I was so excited and then into the bush. The area has changed a lot since our last visit and it took a while to orientate myself. Slowly, little things emerged that I remembered. But still the cache eluded me. Persistence paid off in the end and the glimmer of sistema blue was a beautiful sight. Still plenty of thorny plants around but no other injuries ie insect bites this time thankfully. Thanks for the excellent series and thanks for replacing this cache Crew 153
I had spoken to Crew 153 recently about this cache. I had agreed to find it on the 29th of February if he was able to check / replace it.
Sure enough - Crew 153 made the effort. Now it was time for me to hold up my end of the bargain. I had ZERO time during the day to get this. So what better time to get it than after the City Catchup Event?
Well the path to GZ certainly is dark at night (who would have thought? ). At least during the night there were no muggles around. I made my way toward GZ. I would like to say I recognised GZ - but I didn't I poked around for a bit and I eventually came up with the prize. JOY With this find, I have finished the Mimosa series I started with Lokipagan last year.
I really enjoyed this series - and I am very happy to have them all crossed off. TFTC Crew 153

I have placed a new container in the same location.

As Lokipagan reported, no dice for us. Those ant bites are very painful! Not your average bull ant bite Many thorns made us lose our sense of humour - an no cache did not help either. We thought we inspected the likely areas fairly well. TFTH Crew 153
We were so excited to get to the end of this series! Found a close park, walked along the trail and headed to GZ. There the search started. The area was considerably overgrown and more thorn vines that so traumatised us at Roly. We spent a loooong time digging here and poking there. Both Pagan and Fangsoki received painful ant bites and blood was drawn by the thorns. We only spotted a few places that matched the hints and widened our circle considerably. Even a PAF was to no avail although it confirmed that we (thought at least) were in the right spot. Too hard for us today and we were defeated . Any chance of an owner check as GZ is so overgrown?? Thanks Crew 153 A sad end to the day
A really nice walk through the Toohey forest to this one but, GPS was bouncy in the canopy and had trouble settling... After a couple of minutes it was ready to give me an idea on where it might be and I spooted a likely hidey hole... A quick look revealed the cache... [^]
Nice and cool this morning and a perfect day to hunt this series. Thanks for putting it together Crew153, very enjoyable...

Got this cache of the series out of order I know but it popped up while I was searching this area today. I grabbed another geo-coin that has sat in a cache for a while but left nothing. I still have 3 more (including a re-visit to M1) to complete this great series. Thanks Max.
Finally had the opportunity to complete the series. A nice walk through Toohey Forest.

Found this one in the twilight at 1755. What a great feeling to be at the end of the Mimosa series. It'd be even better if I could say that I had finished them all... but that will have to wait for next time
Took the #5 Air Key TB.
Left nothing.
Thanks for an excellent series of caches, Crew 153

A detour on the way home from work to find cache and drop off TB. Nice to know that next time I want to ride the bike through some bush that there is a place. Thanks for the series. Dropped off #5 Air key at 6:20pm.
The last find for this series. Have enjoyed the trip along this creek, visiting all the many different places. Found this one OK. TFTC and thanks Crew for a great series.
#4 of 12 finds on my first day in Brisbane, cleaning up ones I have started previously. I found this one at 1535. I have made a good start on the Oxley series, but I probably won't be able to complete that one, but at least I have have finally conquered the Mimosa series! This last cache didn't go down without a fight though. I paid the $6 parking fee! I had a choice of two tracks to take The left one or the right one. Of course, I chose the incorrect one. [B)] The track was not looking like it was heading towards the cache, so I bush-bashed 200m until I ran up against a stream (the infamous Mimosa?). This is the usual MO for the Emu Mob. At least it was narrow, and I was able to get across without getting wet. Then I discovered the correct track. The cache was an easy find, once I got to GZ, and I found it in the second place I looked. I made no exchange. Thanks to Crew 153 for the cache, and the series. Cheers, dak.
