Seeing as though I have the car for this sort of drive, I decided on the detour. I left the car about 5 or 6 hundred metres from the cache and walked the rest of the way...I am still not the confident 4wdriver, even though the terrain wasn't that rough. Found the cache easily and noticed that there was not writing implement, so i thought about what it would have been like if I had made the walk and realised that did not bring a pen...come on! We've all been there. So I left my pen in the cache. TFTC
I was really pleased we made it in to this cache as it was an old one and I do like to attempt them when I can. The track had some water over it but we managed to get through with no problems. This is not quite what I was expecting but it was still worth coming in here and looking around. There was almost a waterfall but not quite. Thanks for placing this cache and maintaining it for so long.
Team Crackers, The Drovers, Geoturtle37 and I are making our way to do a group assault on Bathurst and the surrounds. We can't stop at every cache or we will never get there but we are attempting to find as many as we have time for.As we approached GZ, we were wondering if we were going to have to abandon the vehicles and walk in as it was getting rather damp in places. Fortunately, we were able to drive to the end of the track and made the find with no problems. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
We are traveling with Geoturtle 37, Papi4506 & The Drovers to do an assault on Bathurst and are picking up a few caches along the way.As we were getting closer to this one we realised that there would be not water flowing over the waterfall even though we had had some recent rain. We enjoyed the track up to the top and even though there was water lying around it still had a nice hard base and once parked it was a short walk to gz where the larger than expected cache was located quite quickly.Once we added our name to the log we returned everything as it was before going down to have a look at the waterfall. It was very close to running over but even with no water flowing it was still an interesting site.To save room in the log book we are signing as The Mob.Thanks JOSHWA27 for the cache.
Traveling to Bathurst with Team Crackers, Geoturtle37 & Papi4506.This is one of the caches we stopped to find along the way.A quick search and the cache was located, signed and replaced. Many thanks for placing this cache, Team Horizons, for us and others to find.
Reperio 08:38Grabbed the youngest for a drive down to Victoria for 3 days, and were headed to Nathalia for the night. Being such an old placing, we had to stop by this one, but with only being in an X-Trail, I didnt risk driving all the way to GZ. We jumped out with 600m to go, and enjoyed the easy walk to GZ where the cache was soon found. Great to see this one still active. Tftc Team Horizons, We are out and about around Cowra today Plenty of new caches since we were last here This cache was our target for this afternoon.Always on the lookout for these golden oldies Quite heavy rain recently so we could hear the falls as we pulled up in the parking area 70m from GZ.Made the find with no trouble, actually found 2 containers, both needing TLC.Replaced the container but left the old log books for sentimental reasons! Then had a walk to the falls which were roaring. Thanks for bringing us here.Favourite point for this one
Catching up on some find logs previously saved in my drafts.. This cache was found easily but will need some maintenance work done on it at some point, Log is still usable but the container is damaged. Thanks heaps for the cache!

Wow the track in was a little rougher than expected but was a bit of fun.
The dam was a bonus and falls and the rock pool below rather spectacular, well worth the effort to get here.
I'll definitely be back.
Cache was a damp and I had trouble signing the wet log book, drained the excess water it really needs a proper extended dry out.
Thanks Team Horizons

What a beautiful spot! Had to leave our 2wd and use our no wheel drives to get to the cache. It was so worth it! The falls were amazing! Thanks so much for this cool cache!

Found after getting around the spiders webs. Log to wet to sign. Still very dry.
Came for a drive to see the falls that weren’t really falling. More of a drip & a trickle. Maybe another time.
Myggle65 and l are on the long haul from Tumut back to Brisbane. This was our second cache stop for the day. Definitely not a road for a 2wd but no problem in our little 4wd. Stunning location although there was very little water here today and definitely no falls. Cache is saturated and desperately needs attention. Thank you for placing this one.
What an interesting location, though a weeee bit dry & no water cascading the waterhole entertained swimmers cooling off. Both containers were drenched & require new logs. TFTC
We were able to drive to about 900m from the cache, as far as our little 2wd could go, and walked the rest.
At GZ found a well trampled geotrail at a prominent feature. But no cache. Checked the next feature and there it was

After a quick P&G at the dead centre of town the decision was taken to venture out to this one. Pretty sure geoP was not entirely satisfied with that decision as the track deteriorated the closer we got to GZ. In the end a thoroughly enjoyable diversion away from the black top to a picturesque little area.
Cache has been water logged at some point and remains so. Fortunately someone has put a cache container within the original with a new log book - this was in as new condition.

12 Nov 2019 & 14 Nov 2019 Caching Trips
With these two days free, I decided on getting back into caching after a recent dry spell (apart from the event I attended on the 9 Nov). On the 12th, I headed for Cowra to start the caches out that way. I visited many monuments which some included: the World Peace Bell, Koorawatha Falls, Wynnefield Memorial and the one of the old Railway Bridges. Most caches were quick finds but a couple ended up with DNF’s or NA’s which was upsetting but hay… you can’t find all caches because you need things to do next time you’re in the area. There were many different types of hides and locations which made it a very enjoyable day out. On the 14th I headed down over the border into Victoria to hit the ‘S’ series trail which has been on the to-find-list for who knows how long now. I headed straight for the far end of the trail to start so I would finish at the closer side to the other caches on the list to find. This ended up being a solved Mystery cache finding day with a couple of Trads along the way. Also while I was in the area I couldn’t say no to visiting, the ‘Ettamogah Pub’ and ‘The Henty Man’. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring enjoyment to me and the rest of the caching community. TFTC’s

What a great area to walk around! I love this type of caching. Just going for a walk and seeing the world. The cache at this one, was damaged but thankfully I had a replacement ready to go with me. This replacement fits inside of the original cache so both have been left there. Great area to explore. I may come back some time to see it when the falls are going. TFTC

Tftc- cache is completely soaking wet, hasnt been closed properly- book ruined.
The road: Whilst you could make it in a 2wd sedan, I suggest you don't. Any SUV should make it, purely due to ground clearance
The cache: Desperately needs a new container. Has water. Log soaked but still signable. Nice hide, surpentine treasure left.
The location: It's only a 5-10 min walk to the falls. They weren't falling today but there is an inherent beauty to this place, and the gentle sound of water gurgling made it wonderful.
Favourite point awarded.

This cache would seem to have had some welcomed action on behalf of the CO by a Good Samaritan - 'TOUCHSTONE7 ', and it lives for another day.
However, the maintenance responsibility rests with the CO, and even though the issue has been addressed, the onus is on the CO to check that all is as it should be. If the CO does not maintain the listing it can be de-listed (Archived).
You need to Enable the cache - see here: [**Temporarily Disable and Enable**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235) and then remove the "Needs Maintenance" attribute by logging a "Owner Maintenance" log - see this Help Centre article: "[**Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon.**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404 )".
Because of the Needs Maintenance' attribute, it is still appearing on my listings - **I've removed it for you this time and enabled the cache.**
Your prompt attention to any log that indicates things could be amiss will be warmly welcomed by all seekers, and your future assistance in this aspect of geocaching will be greatly appreciated.

It's the weekend and the weather is fine, so Touchstone7 and I decided a trip outside Canberra was in order. And of course, we felt the need to grab a cache or three along the way.
Cache is in good order now TS has done a little maintenance.

Seeing this cache was in danger of archiving but still present, Genghicat and I decided to visit it. We were not disappointed. Although the weir was not running due to drought, it is still a beautiful spot. We passed time taking photos and exploring the water holes.
I tried out the cache container and contents. The old cache book is wet and mouldy but there is a newer log page in a sealed bag inside. No reason to archive this cache.
Thanks for the cache. One of my favourite caches so far.

Very excited to be on the road heading to the Queensland Muster in Barcaldine caching all the way. With plans to catch up with family and fellow cachers in NSW first we headed up through some uncharted areas seeking out great locations with a variety of different hides.
Had fun driving into GZ on the narrow bump track. Unfortunately we didn’t see any water falling today but we did find some water in the cache .
Thanks Team Horizons for the placement.

###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###
----------
I notice from one or more log entries that this cache would seem to be in need of some help - **there appears to be a need for owner intervention.**
Therefore, the cache is being temporarily disabling so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.
The guidelines indicated that periodic visits to check on the cache, as well as prompt attention to any logs that indicate there is a problem, are part of the [**cache owners responsibilities.**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) I cannot see any log that indicates a recent visit by the CO to this cache.
If you can't attend to the issue promptly, then you need to [**Disable it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235) - I have Disabled it for you this time.
**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) by **27th September,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?
You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:
- Repair and/or Replace your cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- If you don't plan on fixing it up then please [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (by 27th September). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look at the cache page, it is likely that I will unfortunately have to de-list (Archive) the cache on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

Found with O319 on our weekend away. TFTC! The log is wet. This was our designated lunch stop. The picnic tables are unusable so we sat on the dam wall. After lunch we walked up to the falls which had a small amount of water flowing over.
10:20
Heading south west from Cowra, as far as Greenthorpe and Bendick Murrell, we made this find as we headed back towards town. What a stayer this one is - almost 13 years on the gameboard. It would be great to see the falls after rain.
Today we replaced the exhausted log with a fresh one.
Satellites today had our GZ 7 metres SW of where we found the cache.
Thanks 'Team Horizons' for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

By far the location was the highlight of our roadtrip of over 900kms this weekend! The cache was an easy find, though, the log is soaking wet.
The gorge area with the associated pools is just a hidden gem!
Drove as close as we could in the I30, stopped about 600mtrs from the cache and walked the rest of the way.

Thank you for the cache, unfortunately it was waterlogged so we couldn't sign the log. Thank you!
Day out to the falls for a leisurely dip, after work in wombat. Saw a bunch of backpacking muggles and me diving around everywhere. Lots of water after last weeks torrent. Cheers for placing a cache in such a cool spot oh so long ago
Really nice spot to hide something, but container (even though it's still looks good) and logbook are unfortunately soaking wet
This was an interesting drive in. There was no water coming over the weir wall and the picnic area was in need of a lot of TLC. All three picnic tables were destroyed, the bi was overflowing with rubbish and the grass area was very overgrown with very dry grass. Saying all that we really did enjoy the drive in.

A nice drive in to this one. Chickened out with about 500m to go, so walked the rest (turns out it would have been OK). A few people out here today enjoying the surroundings. Cache found all OK - a little damp, but the double-bagging helped. A bit of water flowing and a few muddy puddles on the road after the recent rain.
Thanks
Thanks
Liked this one. Parked where road got rough and walked the 1500 metres to gz. All quiet in the area. Great walk along dirt road and beside river. Quick find of cache. Cache all good. Signed and recovered cache. No water over falls, veey dry.Fav point.Tftc
Find #1920 logged at GZ at 7:24 pm. Driving from Sydney to Melbourne via the route less travelled. Stopped in at the local pub for a counter meal. Checked the smartphone to see this the only hide in the area. In dry conditions and careful piloting the all terrain Camry had no difficulty, although a raised suspension helped. Lots of eastern greys and a swamp wallaby escorted me in. The picnic area is a mess and the creek is almost dry. But it is a good spot to bed down. T4TC Team Horizons!
This drive in was ok at first but gradually became worse and needed more concentration... hard work after driving all day and attempting this at 10pm!! Nevertheless we made it ok. Enjoyed the walk to the falls which had some water flowing over them (they are not man-made) and a trickle over the dam (man-made). Cache is in good nick. Shame about the rubbish in the general area and the state of the loo. Spoils a great spot otherwise. TFTC
After 2wding (not for the faint hearted) we arrived. Pretty falls. TFTC. Dried out the box. With AESPL.
Heat little side trip. Still lots of rubbish and the cache had water in it. Worth the trip.
Found it on a soggy Easter Saturday while staying in Cowra. This one had something for all the family - a 4wd road to keep the geohubby happy - a geocache at the end for the geowife and a bouncy track for the dog. (No wait - the dog hated the bouncy track). Great spot, the waterfall didn't have any water falling but we tried to imagine what it would look like. This is what geocaching is all about. Thanks for bringing us here. A favourite point for this one. TFTC

Day two of my roadtrip started in Wodonga, after a night at Jamin Applefords, we started making our way north towards the 2015 Mega event in Stanthorpe, QLD. The main caches I wanted to find were ones that helped me to qualify for "The Well Travelled Cacher Challenge" in Moe.
A rough drive into here and a bit of a rubbish tip at the parking location. Managed to find the cache quickly and decided a walk to the "Falls" was in order. A worthwhile walk it was, no water actually flowing, but indeed a fantastic spot.
Thanks to Team Horizons for the cache. TNLN

Nice hide, falls were a bit dry today but still lots of people around. Left geocoin.
Lovely peaceful spot, perfect geocache hide. These are the caches I want to find TFTC
This cache is why we geocache. What a beautiful 4wd drive into the falls along the natural river bed.
A short walk to the falls, which were flowing beautifully at the time. Back to the car and then hunt down the treasure box that brought us here.
We are so lucky to have people who know where these hidden gems are and then share them with us all. Thank You, Team Horizons. Cache was a little damp but log was sealed and dry.The lid is hard to replace but take your time and seal well and there will be many more happy little cachers to follow and discover a beautiful part of Aussie.
No sign of the echidna today. Left some trading cards for the geokids.

I'd driven past the turnoff here a few times in the past two months but never had time for the side trip. Today I needed some exercise so headed along the road which turned to gravel then to dirt and holes... - really should have parked the 2WD earlier. Reached a point where I thought I'd bottom out and get stuck there like the bus at the end of The Italian Job so I reversed, turned around and parked. From there it was a mere 600m to GZ.
Quite a few trees have come down along the creek but it wasn't long and I was at GZ. A good hole for a hide. Signed the log - it's all dry now - and replaced. Then continued up to the 'falls' - I wasn't expecting anything going by the dry creek and I wasn't disappointed. There's something very eerie about a silent waterfall. Even the birds stay quiet. It's a nice view back down the creek.
Saw wallabies, kangaroos, goats and a big goanna on my walk.
Thanks!

1616. What a track ? we have been here many years ago before geocaching and the drive in was alot smoother, still the 4wd camper made it except the last 900 meters, so back pack was loaded and we did the rest of the trail by foot , (easy walking ) the cache was found the stash inside was wet, so I cleared the rubbish out Signed the log (2pm)and replaced where found. We then walked further on to the Falls themselves, sorry no swims here at the moment there wasn't enough water to clear the pool ...

Heading back slowly to Queensland via Cootamundra, Young, Cowra and Blayney collecting caches on the way. We tried this one and the road was great until we went over the low lying bridge and then it got worse and worse. The road doesn't state it but it isn't for 2wd cars. A pity because the description of the place sounds great. We got to about 800m from GZ and if it wasn't so hot we would have walked it.
1125 GAFF1 (Late logging - 24/1/12) While on a 2 week road trip to Western NSW from Taree, NSW I grabbed a few caches while doing some 6,000 kms well into SA territory, and now on the way back to the Blue Mountain! I probably got the Mazda Metro in a little too far for it, and then headed off on foot.
Coordinates good, cache a bit moist, so dried it out.
With a 2 kilometre walk this makes it good for the Distance Caching thesis. Bonus!
TN, Left: blue pen, pencil, sharpener, and a Correct Site Marker - surgical marking pen.
Through for mileage: 3 Bros, Australia 2006, Aust Light houses, Iconic Bridges 2012, Signal 2006, ernies labyrinth (au), Travel GPS, CITO Tag, Baa, Neigh, and Oink geocoins, CITO Travel Tag, B2B ingot, Poker Face (Tracka-Bear), Goodbye Kitty, G’Day Aussie Thong, Venus von Willendorf, Jinne (clogs), Miss Backpack, Red Racing Ninja #4, and Olly the Orca Photo Wheel TBs, and trackable shirt.

I didn’t realise until logging this find that this is our 1,000 find. I now big deal but it has been interesting where the first 1,000 caches have taken us too, like this cache – a favourite with us today. We stayed overnight in young & early in the evening it rained very heavy. As we packed upped the car this morning, the car was very clean, I mean we are on our way home from a 4 week holiday staying at Parkes, Hay, Mildura, Loxton, Swan Hill & Wagga Wagga & we completed many bush caches that our car looked like the colour of out back bull dust. Now it’s white again. You ask so what. Well we were a little concerned to drive out here after a day of heavy rain, yes it had rained here but not much, the creek had no water or flow in it, so the trip was A OK. We put it in 4WD low & just took it easy out here. The cache is a little wet but log is OK – cache container may need to be replaced in some point of time. TFTC / TFTH / SL
Tough find because the track is washed out even for 4wd so we had to walk a long way last find of the day
#222 on a day that started off well but soon went south. This was the way day 49 of the caching odyssey ended 1 visit to bug exchange 26 found and 7 did not finds. All in all not to bad a day all things considered. This was 5/26.
The arrival at the GZ was a little hampered by the road in. The geocar would only get to within 900M at the road had become very rocky and the low clearance was a little of a concern at this particular stage not to be beaten it was off on foot. Although the track in was still in reasonable condition if now only suitable for the vehicle with more ground clearance this was still a lovely day to walk to GZ.
Arrived at GZ and found the booty in next to no time this was just a great spot to visit and the falls were not spectacular as I could not hear the main falls and the man mad one was only a trickle I did not go any further to explore the falls will come back again in the geotruck next time.
Thanks Team Horizons for supplying another great opportunity to see this spectacular country of ours.

Drove the geo mobile to within about the 900 mt of GZ and walked the last bit on a pleasant Monday. Found cache quickly and was pleased to find it in excellent condition.Loved the hide and the good sized container. Left plastic butterfly Took Nil Thanks again for a great cache.
Found it no worries. drove to where you have to climb up no prob. we have had heaps of rain and falls are full on. there is even another set to the left of the main ones that I have never seen run before...thank you
A 4WD made it a lot easier to get in although 2WD can get some of the way look out for rocks. A top spot for lunch with tables and pit toilet available.Short walk to the falls . A top spot to sit and take in nature at its best.
Unfortunately the XR6 could only get within 936m of this cache and we had no spare time to walk in. TeamAJKW.
Found it! What an outstanding spot! I will be back with a picnic for sure! Spot on co-ords and an easy find! SL TFTC swapped a soldier for a slinky!
Had fun driving out to this location, its not a cache that many take the time to visit but well worth the trip.
Easy drive in and an easy find. There was very little water going over the falls.

The water was running again after the rain, pity about the overflowing bins it was a mess after Christmas. Great little drive in, didn't need 4x4 even with the recent rain.
Nice hot day for cache today.... no water understandable but maybe next time.... TFTC
We managed to get the lowered geocommodore through just by taking it easy. I'll post pictures.
probably no good in the wet but in the dry you just need to take your time and there's only a couple of rocky creek crossing.
hey, if a lowered commodore can get through I can leave the landcruiser at home
An excellent spot and I guess swimming would be cool in the summer.
Thanks for bringing us here.

More people should try this one as the track is very easy to drive even in a two wheel drive. May be a bit slower when really wet but well worth the effort to drive out hee.

Found on a beautiful sunny day on the return trip from down south with weroamin. Enjoyed lunch and hung the washing to dry in a pituresque setting. Thanks for bringing us to this location. TFTC.
Any sign telling me that I can't take my caravan is like a 'red rag to a bull', and in any case that's what an off road caravan is all about. Ah yeah the track was a tad rough in places but slow and steady and no harm done. Wow, what a great place for lunch and I was tempted to stay the night but we had only travelled from Young so gerrynewgirl and weroamin though that we would continue, after we had dried the washing. Thanks for taking us into such a great place and one for the memory banks on another trip. TNLN
A beautiful picnic spot, verry rough to get in some of the water holes in the road were bottomless pits.
With an inch or more of rain the day before the water was pouring over the wall well worth the drive in, and forgot the camera.took torch left gi joe TFTC.
Bumpy detour off the main road into this one- quite an interesting spot. No water running at the moment though. Cache found pretty quickly in that deep hole. Thanks.
got there just defore dark. I took the waterfall tb as I have another waterfall for it to visit. Just as your falls were dry, our's are too. Maybe the tb can make it rain.
thanks
thanks
We unhooked the caravan outside the local deli and then headed off to do the cache. The track in was rough but finding the cache was no problem even though it was cleverly hidden. Left travel bug. Saw a very healthy bushy red fox enjoying the morning sun. An attractive area that would look even more so with more water. Thanks Team Horizons
Found at 1430. A nice drive in but unfortunately very little water about. Found the cache and then then walked to the falls. The falls were dry but I bet they would look spectacular after rain. Must return after we eventually get some rain. TNLNSL. TFTC.
This was a nice drive in, unfortunately no water crossings, in fact it was very dry. I found the cache relatively easily and then went for a walk to check out the falls but they were dry!
Thanks Team Horizons for the cache.
