Just realised that we did not log this cache at the time. We did have a great time and appreciated all the effort put in to organising this great night.

This is a not so shameless plug for a national cache hunting competition,running 1 June to 31 July this year.

Registration/entry is free, nothing to buy - 30 requirements will be released on 1 June, and to complete the game you use strategy and your caching skills to get the best score you can from 25 of them.

Would you be interested in an Australian Geocoin? ADAcache, an ACT cacher is putting together a run of an Australian Geocoin - see photo attached. It will be a maximum run of 1000 and will be very collectable.

Please excuse using the event as a way to promote the coin - but a lot of people don't visit forums and they might see it this way.

I wasn't at the event since I live on the oposite side of the world, but this looked like a good place to drop a stolen WJTB "Hope"

Everyone who attended this years event give yourself a round of applause for made it the success it was.

There were a lot of new faces this years and with the growth of the sport I am sure we will see even more next year.

The reward for holding an event like this is when you get to meet such wonderful people all in one location and can appreciate what a wonderful community geocaching is.

Thank you all for enriching the lives of this team and the wonder lifestyle change you have given us by association with you and seeking out your caches.

Its been a great year and we wish everyone in the geocaching community a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

I like to say you do this sport for the stories you can tell.
So finally thank you Prosspet boys for the story you gave us this year retrieving one of the traffic controllers.
We still laugh when we retell the tale.

Thank you for a great evening. We really enjoyed it, just to be able to put faces to names was great. We even picked up the Key to the City TB and found a cache on the way home.

Sounds like you all had a great time as we would have expected. Look forward to catching up with everyone next year. We are currently in Lithgow planning on how to attack all the Blue Mountain caches and have found out this morning that the caravan park we are at has a wireless network. What a bonus.

Thanks Andrew and Co for organising this fun evening for the rest of us cachers. When you think that you could look for caches all the time without ever meeting another cacher, it makes events like this even more special.
The venue was good, food was great, gifts were appreciated and we enjoyed meeting some new teams and catching up with everyone.

Thankyou very much to SA_ParrotHead and the cacher who says NI for all the organisation and preparation that went into this great event. Both shonkys had a fantastic time and enjoyed the food and wine (well we enjoyed the wine that skippy didn't get to!)
It was great to see some of the old teams and meet some new ones as well.

As usual another great evening, good food and good company. Nice to see some of the new teams as well. Much enjoyed by Fab & myself. Also a few personal milestones achieved by some of the attendees, cache # 700 for me personally.

It was a nice dinner and we got some notepads to draw on.

We might use the notepads as logbooks.

It was a long, long dinner but I liked the kids meals and the dessert.

Most importantly though, this was my 500th cache "find".

Congratulations to Freddo on being the 9th Australian to reach 1000 finds.

Lead 'n Lace would like to thank SA Parrothead and all his helpers (Cached, Mrs Parrothead etc)for the organisation, computer work, give away prezzies etc. The night was great with good food, good wine and great company. It was a pleasure to meet so many of the caching teams that we have read about, visited their caches or had them visit our caches. We even met some cachers we had not heard about!!

Once again thank you for your efforts, they were much appreciated.

The preparations for the event are coming along nicely.
We have made a start on the banner and other items for the night.
I visited the venue and gave them an indication of our meal requirements.
I also paid the deposit for the booking so if you decide not to come could you please give me a few days notice.
Two weeks to go, we look forward to seeing you all soon.

Unfortunately I've ended up being double booked with a school camp I can't get out of.
So I'm camping in a tent and counting bloody emu's and wallabies or something with a mob of teenagers.[B)]

Droppng off a Geocoin

Unfortunatly im going to have to be a late exlcusion from this one. The day of the event, unfortunatly is also the same day that the posspet boys and i are heading to the south east for a 4 day caching hunt.

By the time that the event starts, we are hoping to be in mt gambier. With uncle posspet only getting limited time off work, it was these dates, or nothing, so the event will have to miss out, and 50 or so finds/caches will take precedent.

Hope all have a good time though.

Looks like Freddo’s little TB has already been to the Caribbean. However, if we play our cards right, this cache will be underwater by the end of the night – appropriate for Scuba TB. Astro.

Trev & Carolyn will be there. Menu and venue sounds a nice alternative to the dog track! What a great opportunity to start celebrating Caz' birthday before midnight!

Unfortunately, Team Wibble is unable to attend. We'll be most likely looking for GCP2TC, GCJTRY, GCMB03 and GCP966 that evening which makes it a little difficult to get to the Wakefield .
