Unfortunately the interesting wooden bridge structure that housed our well camoed container for more than a decade has been replaced by all that amounts to is a concrete culvert, not a very geo friendly venue at all, so the time has come to say farewell and thank you to the 260+ visitors to this site in the past 11 years.
The bridge at GZ is about to undergo major reconstruction works!
Once we know the extent we will decide the future of this hide.

On another geo maintenance mission nearby gave us the opportunity to call in here and replace the log.
SL. Very nice hide as its very well thought out. Log is very full so ive added a small and temp log. It will need replacing soon.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

Geobaby being looked after by Nan meant we thought caching would be much easier. No such luck. Pains me to ask but a hint would not go astray! We will be back.
Find No. 1060. Found at 11.05am with FUF009
We were over in Bendigo for a day's shopping and as we were going into town from K-Mart we thought we would stop off and grab this cache seeing how it was on our way.
Being a Romax hide we thought we would have to spend some time looking for it but were quite surprised that it only took us a matter of minutes.
Long grass and hot weather means only one thing in my books but lucky for us there were none about this area today.
TFTC Romax (We think this was one of your easy hides or are we just getting use to the way you think?)

Find # 2523 @ 1105 H
Found with Tyred n Cranky.
Over in Bendigo for a spot of shopping and taking full opportunity to turn a Romax cache into a smilie.
After reading the hint first (this is only ever done for a Romax cache) we soon had a park near GZ and were out for the grab. Being a warm morning we kept and eye out for possible scales in the long grass, but thankfully all we spied today was another well blended cache.

Out and about in Bendigo today with McLookers, ST37E, The Tritonz, Wozzle68, DAB and Na'wal. It was a fun day and the weather played nice which is always a bonus.
Yay! My second time here and finally I can log a 'found it'. Luckily for us we had a crowd today and in this case many eyes helped. However the eagle eyed ST37E spotted something not quite right and after a quick investigation. Eureka! Thanks for the hide Romax.

What a fantastic day of geocaching we had in Bendigo today. With an ensemble consisting of McLookers, Glanville Girls, Wozzle68, The_Tritonz, ST37E. Na'wal and yours truly, we had an absolute blast. With a heap of solved puzzles, it was time to do some collecting. It was a mixed bag of caches today. There were tree climbs, bridge climbs, hill climbs, traditionals, multis, a letterbox and even a few night caches to end the day !! The standard of the hides was excellent and the scenery and architecture was fantastic. All of the CO's should be proud of their hides. I can't wait to return for some more caching !! TFTC Romax
Wow what a sneaky little begger this is, even with 7 pairs of eyes looking around it must have taken 15 minutes or more to find this one. Well done on the hide. well worth a favorite point.

I think everyone involved was hanging out for today. This had been planned for weeks. Lets make a day of it in Bendigo was the suggestion [^] Puzzles were solved, coordinates put into GPSr's maps were printed, accommodation was booked. Finally it was here. theTritonz, DAB, wozzle68, ST37E, Mclookers, Glanville Girls and myself were off. We met in Creswick after breakfast was purchased on the road. What a brilliant day out it was. Lots of laughs.
What a great bridge Another tough hide from this CO. This was a laugh a plenty. We had many eyes and lots of chatting as a cop car pulled up another car just at the bridge. We stayed well hidden and this search went on for a while before the great words 'Found it' rang out. Woo! Signed and replaced as found.
[blue]Thanks for this trad cache hide, Romax. [^]
Log and container in good condition.

Up in Bendigo today on a group assault with DAB, ST37E, Na'wal, Glanville Girls, Wozzle68 & McLookers with a set plan of DT caches in mind.
As we searched for the cache we noticed the flashing lights above us...oh no, the police have sprung this motley crew loitering under the bridge! As it turned out they had someone pulled over just past the bridge and wernt any the wiser of our shenanigans.
We continued our search while some one received a ticket looking in every nook and cranny until St37E came up with a suggestion, which turned out to be a winning move.
Thanks Romax for another clever hide , a favourite headed your way.

Spending a huge day in Bendigo with Glanville Girls, McLookers, Nawal, DAB, Wozzle68 and The Tritonz we travelled all over town and visited many caches, when we arrived at this one I started to get cold chills, it was my 4th visit spread over 4 year and I had absolutely no idea where to start.
After thorough searching by all I spotted something that didn't look quite right and it turned out to be the cache hide, so glad to finally not have this one still unfound
A favorite well earned

This one was on our list today as we were told we would need many eyes to look. We spent a long time underneath and even went for the torches. This was proving very elusive until St37E noticed something that was a little out of place. Thankfully it proved to be the cache. Thanks Romax, a ripper camo and a favourite from us.
Have tried this one several times and had decided it would be a "give up". But I hate to be beaten so decided on one more try. Again, just about to leave in despair and there it was! As usual I don't know why this was so hard and how we missed it so many times. Thrilled that this didn't beat me (eventually!) [(:]
Found on our way home from Bendigo with Mum, sisters (becca85, neisha07, chan02) and my Aunty and cousins. It was late at night and we had to use torches. A very sneaky find! Thanks Romax

In Bendigo for a last minute adventure, the Geo-kids and I talked our company - Muggle Sister/Aunty and Nieces/Cousins into stopping for 1 quick cache (in the middle of the night. Haha) on the way home.
Probably not the best choice as I realised I only had 1 torch between the 5 of us who were happy to brave the cold. After a few minutes of searching and all fingers and toes now blue, we made a quick PAF which helped us zone in closer to GZ and we soon had the cache in hand. Surprisingly it was 5yr old boo09 who was the first to yell out the magic words "I've got it!" and in what was some sort of minus degree weather, we were all very glad to hear them tonight!
A great hide. Thanks very much Max & Roma!

Found it! After several frustrating attempts at this sneaky little cache it was eventually found today with geosister Meekmink. Very clever hide. Thank you for the cache Romax
The two M's found themselves in Melbourne as a result of doing a good deed. Today was day 3 of the limited opportunity to do a few caches during a quick trip to Bendigo to pick up Mrs M's Mum.
You did it to us again, Romax. Once again we turn up at a bridge only to leave without a prize. Today there were many electricity workers going about their business, however this was no excuse. Mrs M took a slip and decided not to play, and Mr M had to leave, defeated by your craftiness. One of these days we will plan a special trip to try and redeem ourselves.

I would love to say i found this one on my own! But in all honesty i had to give in and ask for a hint. So off i went with my muggle mum this time, searching with our new information, touching every nook and cranny and mum came up with the goods, quite proud of herself she was! Thank you once again Romax for a great cache and being a good sport
Went with our group BBTS with no luck but went back alone and found it later. Great hide. Was given hint to look for "something that doesnt belong" and found it.
The number of DNFs in the logs started to be a bit discouraging after looking for almost 30 minutes. Then geokid piped up - "I think I found something!" Alas, the hidden was found.
Thanks for a great cache...definitely a favourite from me!

THANK GOODNESS!! After 8 trys, I finally found this sneaky little thing! - thanks to a couple of hints from a previous finder, and from Romax too. Geo-hubby was the one to actually find it, first time he has been down there with me, so frustration plus that he made it seem so easy ( but only after knowing the hints). What a fantastic camouflage job!! Now I know what to think of on my next Romax cache! This was my first Romax cache, so I don't know wether to look forward to, or dread, the next one! Haha. Thanks heaps for the hint Romax, and thanks for the cheeky little cache that kept me going back time and time again! It's a big relief to put this as a smilie!! TFTC FINALLY signed the log!! YAY!!!!
Second attempt at looking. Searched for a long time reading previous clues. Went back to gz and rethought. Then found it. Awesome hide. Thanks for the camouflage.
This was our second attempt at this one. It was only by limiting ourselves to T1.5 locations amongst the myriad of possible places did we keep ourselves nice.
Well hidden, but pretty obvious once the secret is revealed.

I have had a few looks at this one with no luck so grabbed a hand from tamzy and mikidos and a soon had cache in hand cant belive I walked past it so many times ahah tftc
Had previous dnf on this one, finally came back for another look. CBJH1990 had the sneaky hide in his hands within minutes as we did have a little hint of what we were looking for! TFTC
We had not checked to see who the owner was but as soon as the cache was found we just knew that it had to be Romax. Well done Max and another vote on this one. TFTC.
We have looked for this cache a few different times over the years with no luck.
We always get back to the car with grease covered hands and no cache.
Today looked set for the same result until one last check turned up the wonderful cache.
We had heard it was a terrific hide and we weren't surprised at the construction of this one.
Romax you have lived up to your reputation on this hide.
A favorite point for the clever cache and the relief of finally finding it!

Thanks for hiding it for us to find.

Found with the assistance of DoorMatt, who had already found it many months ago. No, he didn't tell me, he just gave me a few subtle hints.. Amazingly clever hide. Very impressive Romax!TFTC
Looked for almost 30 minutes with nothing to tell. Disappointed to not find this one. Might bring a torch next time, it could come in handy.
Had a look at the bridges then pounced on this well hidden cache. Thanks for the challenge
Nice work! We enjoyed this hide and it did prove to be in the object we anticipated. We were probably lucky to find this in about 5 minutes. Thanks.
Another great day caching in Bendigo.
We found a large variety of containers and well hidden caches,
this being one of them.

#1412 Found while in Bendigo for a funeral. Had quite a look around here before an eagle eyed Mrs laurenda spied something a little suspicious and worthy of a closer look - BINGO! An excellent cache, we really appreciate finding caches where considerable time and effort has gone into providing an enjoyable and different experience to the norm. Thanks Romax, a fav from us for a great effort.
After many times driving over this one I finally decided to stop and have a look for it. Found after a short look for it, typical romax hide which usually give you some trouble finding them. Many thanks to romax for the hide.
Out with our caching friends the Walenator's. We decided to do a big cache run before we have to return to the real world of work! The Chief looked right at it and discounted it. Then came back to it after noticing something NQR! Clever! TFTC
Out for a fantastic weekend of geocaching with our caching buddies the "Earthbounds". It took awhile and no help from the friendly passing geocacher. Deserves a fav point from us. TFTC....SL...TNLN
Found with phatash. Loved the hide. Never found this one in 2009. Lovely to cross off a nemesis.
How lucky were we?! The cache was the first place Mr Whit tried! (Clever bugger he can be!) I can understand why it takes some people multiple visits or simply a long time in their search. Today the sun was out and the caching gods were smiling upon us. Our thanks to Romax for another of their clever hides. SLTNLN TFTC
Finally found on the 3rd or 4th attempt! This one had eluded me before, mainly because there were so many possible hiding places here. The camo was fantastic and checking things out for possible movement paid off in the end. Returned with the family to sign the log book on February 2nd 2013.
Found this great cache with Vicki. Once again, we are visiting Bendigo for the dragon boat racing.
We spent about a half hour searching before giving up and heading off to do some shopping. It seems are caching skills are a bit rusty.
On the on the way back, Vicki announced that it wasn't going to beat us and headed back to GZ. Within 30 seconds, the cache was in hand. Don't know how we missed in on the first attempt, but we are very happy that we returned. Thanks, Romax, for a fun time.

Suscoe wandered into the area of GZ to see many, many, many possible spots.
Looked around for a while then back to the car for our new favourite caching appliance.
Method over madness was the order of the afternoon, so we started and not long after the clever hide was revealed.
Very well done Romax, this week we have started to really appreciate your hiding skills.
Our brains have been well and truly exercised.
Another favourite from us.
Thanks for a number of really good tasks to solve!
Sad to have to travel south tomorrow, we will be back for more!

I found it I finally found second time here such a good hide thanks romax good hide
My second attempt at this one
After my earlier Romax find I thought I might have a shot at this one again.
A previous finder was a bit sloppy and the paper clip that was to be holding the log was on the ground, giving away the hide location. I returned it to it's proper place.
TFTC.

This was our last morning caching in Bendigo before making our way back to Adelaide via Horsham and Francis caching along the way. Wasnt a bad total with 45 finds for the day. Could have been more but had some trouble early with DNF's on micros.

It's a Romax, so thinking outside the square was always going to be necessary. A very clever hide which took some looking for... Another wonderfully creative hide from the master... Another fave coming your way Max...
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Thanks for bringing me here. *Cache Condition ~ Fine...

Good one, very tricky hide! Keep an eye out on the ground for discarded syringes though, looks like a bad place of a night time (didn't hv pen to sign)
WARNING ... LOTS OF USED SYRINGES HERE. KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR CHILDREN.
Arriving at GZ, started to have a look. I was poking my hand here and there, twisting this, touching that. Then I noticed about 10 used syringes. That was the end of my looking.
Attempt this cache with caution. I will attempt this another day.

Found it with DoorMatt when out night caching - took a while - need to learn to really check out first hunches better - TFTC
Took ronnienash and I some time when searching at night. Eventually we stopped, took a step back and then realised what we missed. We're starting to think like Romax now (at least we hope we are). Thanks for the hide.
549. Insert usual invectives and curses here. Even coaxed FFP out of the car to no avail. Guess I have an appointment with this cache again next March.
Eventually found by D.o.t.G. What can I say, Tormented me this one, 4 attempts. Getting there. Thanks Romax.
This was the first cache we ever tried, and if only we'd known of Romax's rep on our first attempt! After doing a little psychoanalysis and reading some logs of course, we had our hot little hands on the right one! Thanks Romax, you get a favourite from us for this one!
#2487 Another wonderfully creative hide from the master. Surprisingly it was found under 5 mins - perhaps luck was on our side & we should take advantage of it and take a QuickPick . A fabulous cache container which we stood and appreciated for a while before heading off again. Our thanks once again to Romax for the cache
It's a Romax, so thinking outside the square was always going to be necessary. Being vertically challenged doesn't help me either. Having a previous finder in bogonghazy with me, was a huge benefit in that he played "Hot, cold, warmer" with me. After a few minutes the cache was revealed, and I wasn't disappointed with this hide either. Thanks Romax, another favourite heading your way.
