Looked around but sadly no luck this time. So happy to have found the walk and completed it
Found with Pprime` as part of our Cairns and North adventure.Thankyou for the entertainment here.
Accio 07:32:05Found with T4mmmy on a sneaky weekend away up north. Chasing some local oldies, so this one was very much on the list. Planned it so this was done straight after dawn - but it was still quite hot and sweaty especially the middle more exposed section of the hike. Such varying vegetation/terrain. The hike is well worth it, and while it seemed the track headed a long way off centre ... the sheer upness makes sense. Loved the 109 stairs (ok I am lying) to get over and up past the railway line. And no worries at GZ - easy find where expected. Took a few photos and then the knee crunching return down. Thankyou - excellent fun. Thanks Team Grey Fox for entertaining me at this location. *{Overall find #12654}*
I've had my eye on this walk for a while, so great to finally do it. After a few days of no rain, the muddy bottom section wasn't too bad. Missed seeing the train by about 5 minutes. GPS took me straight to the spot. Cache is dry and in good condition. No pen, so I wrote W 22/4/24 in the logbook with leaf juice! No idea if that will last. TFTC!
Staying at Speewah campground for a week while we explore Cairns we did the full 19ish km loop a few days ago without getting any caches. Today we took off to do it again, this time grabbing the caches on the way. Tftc
Thanks Team Grey Fox and WalterHellmut4 for adding a bit of sneaky fun to our hike
We're an all women team of 7 today enjoying the view, seeing the train right now (try and spot it on the photo) and even caught in on the bridge on the way up.
All is well at GZ, cache in good condition.

Finally conquered glacier! We came down the Douglas track from speewah, and are continuing down to stoney creek
Notice a DNF and thought I’d check on this cache whilst paying penance for dietary choices . The cache is still there, u know over there further but a bit more further then the obvious spot. Happy hunting
Well conceived in haste repent at leisure. 4:16pm, lets just see what the view is like at the top of the stairs near Railcruiser, well there's 2 hrs of daylight left lets had have a crack at Glacier Rock it's only 900m in a straight line..... Arrived just before 5, took some photos, looked for cache, looked at logs, found likely spot but not convinced by photos contemplated a smaller replacement but not completely sold on the spot. After 5 now, folded and jogged back to power lines, picked up cap from picnic table and proceeded walking briskly back down hill, back at car just after 6. Had been a long day will have to come back another year. Great walk though.
And then we were at the top! We were at the top by ourselves, and decide from the breeze all was quiet.
Down in the distance to the right, we could see a train tunnel and bits of train track sneaking around the opposite mountain.
The view back to Cairns was beautiful on this clear day, and after some refreshments, we set to the task of finding the hide here.
It did not take too long to have this one in our hands where we found everything to be safe and dry.
We are so happy to have had the opportunity to take this walk today.
Thanks walterhellmut. A FP added

Found it! did not do her homework, like she normally does so she was very surprised and happy when said when we made it to the top, “you know there’s a geocache nearby, right?” I thought!! Where is our supplies! We have no pen!? was prepared and brought a pen! An easy find, but hard climb! TFTC
Thought I’d check on these caches whilst I was doing the hike. This cache is all good, nice and dry. My Gps showed it to be within 1m of gz. Maybe go downhill of gz and look back up, it might make spotting the hide easier. The little shrine is starting to lose its paint- I think the shrine is at the first gz and not the current one
Looked in the usual spot as a check up. Nothing there. Maybe relocated. Not sure.
Stopped by again and threw some swag in. Still loving the sound of the breeze through the woodlands at the top.
My most favourite part of this hike is when you break through the rainforest up onto the ridge into the open woodland and the wind is blowing through the trees. Glacier lookout was immensely busy today, no room left. So I ducked off to my right were another little hidden viewing area was. So beautiful today. I stumbled across the shrine cache by mistake and eyeballed the area to see if I could see an obvious hiding spot for actual cache. Too many muggles to physically look, so had to ‘take in the scenery’ for a while. Thanks to Walterhellmut spoiler photo further down the activity log, I eventually found a target area. I waited for all the muggles to clear away and retrieved the cache and logged. Now I finally had the glacier to myself, so I just sat and breathed deep, such a beautiful, peaceful spot.tftc
My first geocache in a while! Came across it accidentally when I came up to Glacier Rock a few weeks back, so returned to officially sign my name and log it. Easy little cache in an awesome place, TFTC! (Found with Rocketstrong)
Together with Carpediam 2809 we found this Cache after some minutes to search. The Logbook is o.k. Nice place withe a great view. Thak you for this cache.
What a great way to end the Easter week end. Easy find. Introduced geocaching to some new players. No pencil in the cache and we couldn’t leave ours there.
Tough Australian hike to a nice lookout. Love this part of the continent! Thanks.

Fortunately, I have got the opportunity to adopt this great cache. I could hide a new container in a hopefully safe place.
The Ice Age starts here was transferred from Team Grey Fox to user Walterhellmut
Today I made my way up again a brand new container in my hand. I can say the old hide was empty. To make it a bit safer I chose a new hide some 8 metres away as everyone can see on the photo attached. It is not visible for muggles, so please rehide it the way you found it behind a rocky portal.
Good Day,
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Looking forward to hearing from you,

Found. Pretty wet. Notebooks saturated. Cover still on clipped with three out of four clips.
I have not geocached in years. Went for a walk. Knew one would have to be close. TFTC. gave me motivation to get back into it.
Water still in geocache, notebook moist but intact. new notebook required (sorry I forgot one). Container emptied and cleaned thoroughly including seal, removed wet perished items and replaced clips on the container. should be watertight now.
OMG -- this was a hard walk in this very trpoical weather. But Views and finding the Cache were worth it. Container was full of water as one clip is missing. Log books dry enough but new ones required. Cheers
Found this cache with my friends on a rainy day. It was a great day and a nice with with all the clouds. Both log books are full but I found an empty page somewhere in the middle. Thanks for the cache
Great cache spot! Beautiful walk on a great day. Interesting collection at the moment
Great find whilst working with a World Challenge group travelling to Tanzania end of the year!
Wow, what a hike!
Very tough to come all the way up here from the river, and certainly almost all uphill. Put a lot of sunscreen on after crossing the railway, but the legs were really giving out those last few hundred metres.
Interesting to see how the scenery and greenery changes the higher you get. The altimeter on the iPhone seems to be fairly accurate too, which is interesting.
We took some photos (My cousin and I) at the top, before heading back down. The return trip only took about an hour and 15 minutes, we made good time.
Such a good hike and a great view out across the entirety of Cairns.
Thanks for the cache!

Very wet but dried it out, removed unsavories such as wet cigarette butt and muesli bar wrappers...why??
Anyway, beautiful spot quite busy today

Left before the sun came up to go get this one. Having never done the Douglas track before this was a great experience in perfect weather. Awesome to see where cassowarys had been but couldn't spot one quick find at GZ and awesome views. TFTC!
Found it! After seeing the view up there we figured someone must have used that spot to hide a cache
Yippee! And just in time to watch the Kuranda train pass by. Great location, great view.

Well all I can say is I am sorry Stinky. I declined a suggested trek by him in favour of doing easy ones close to home. After many arduous steps we arrived at the end of the trail. Awesome views on a mostly clear day.
The hike up was a lot more physical than anticipated! Nevertheless, I made it fairly easily with good friend Rummaging_Remmins along for motivation.
The views are some of the best I have seen, as is the landscape.
The cache contents were interesting...
Listed Trackables Coins, Bills and Stamps & WDD 2007 Commemorative Geocoin not in cache.

From the Railcruiser cache, Brahms6 and I continued our upward climb to Glacier Rock. This was my first time to visit Glacier Rock walking up from Redlynch, so it was a new experience. From the rail gantry bridge (altitude 325m) we climbed up to the Glacier Rock turn off (altitude 410m) and then scooted along the well marked path to Glacier Rock. All up, it took us about a 75 minutes from the car-park area to reach Glacier Rock, with our final altitude being 534m.
Some beautiful views and cooling breezes. I left Jake the Travel Bug here to enjoy the altitude and views.
The great news is ..... it's all downhill from here back to the car.

Brahms6 found this one in the company of Wazza. A great walk up and back 6.53 Ks on the Polar. Very interesting to not the change in vegetation as we climbed higher. Took back the traceable that Wazza dropped Off, didn't want to leave it stranded on the mountain. The views across Cairns are fantastic. TFTC
I went up here again this morning to give the cache a new container. I hope this will last for some time.

I checked this place when passing by and found the whole cache just covered by a plastic bag. The container has to be replaced before the big rain starts.
None of the mentioned trackables were in it. Instead I grabbed "Angry Bird".

This cache is no longer in an ammo box. It is simply sitting out in the open in a torn plastic bag. At first I thought it was simply someone's rubbish left behind but when I couldn't find anything else in the area I had a closer look. Everything inside the bag is damp but salvageable.
Great views but very busy up there today with lots of muggles. It seems half of Cairns realised it was a perfect day to be out bush. TNLN TFTC
Been meaning to get back up here for ages. Picked a hot and steamy day to do it too... Kookaburra at the top is still laughing (I am posting from cache site). Took nothing but left parachute man and Angry Birds TB. No other trackables in this cache. Thanks for this one, its beautiful up here
Found by the Nettlies after a very long walk up the hill.[xx(]
Nice easy find with good views.
Left toy platypus and took plastic spoon which we used for having hot chicken soup for lunch (after cleaned it)

This was a great destination to arrive at on our walk this afternoon. Super views from up here! Mr H is currently up in Cairns for a few days with work and, along with a few colleagues, decided to visit Barren Gorge Falls and then head off for a nice walk to this place. This was a good cache to use as an example to explain our crazy hobby! Top location and a favourite point from us.
