As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache [red]within the next couple of months[/red], just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Only if i had read the listing's [:o)] found only cache lid.....Mugglers have removed it.....
I have temporarily disabled this listing until further notice,as it apparently went missing.
We found the top of the cache container, but the body has gone.
I suspect foul play
Thanks, Robmc.

Rob and I found the cache lid but alas no cache. Wonder if the new neighbours have taken this game too far.
over shot GZ but found shortly after widening the radius.... there is obviously mega $$$$$ to be had in ubute if the house being constructed the other side the road to GZ is any guide.
Cheers 4 da cache!
Cheers 4 da cache!
Damn I was glad to find this one today. I'm not sure why we didn't find it last time, or why it was so difficult to find this time, but now it's found (and I don't need to come back ).
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
The first time I came to this place I was keen, excited and full of energy. After a long, long search I left empty flippered, broken hearted and jaded. After swearing never to return to Bute (or anywhere within the 20km exclusion zone around Bute) and two and a half years on, Nomad takes me back. This time we found it but time does not heal all wounds. The scars are still deep and the therapy continues. I used think that there was a more appropriate 4 letter word for the cache.
There's a new house overlooking the GZ.
PS. The container doesn't have a very good seal on it any more. It might be time for a new one.

Going over to the beach shack so thought that we should mix pleasure with pleasure and pick up a few on the way.
There were builders building a great monstosity nearby but scrub screened us.
Thanks

found while heading home from paskeville field day with DEMON41. a quick find until i lost my new sunglasses, found by the demons eagle eye !
Container needs maintenance - the clips are broken so moisture can get in. Others had left tissues in it which were very damp. Removed tissues and placed a few rocks on it to add weight to lid.
A cute little town we often drive through - good to have a reason to look around the back streets. Left an eye glasses cord. TFTC

Easy find for us this morning. Had to laugh when both Bute caches had similar clues and we were scratching our heads about the prolific number of US presidents there were in Bute.....geee...derrr!!!! Took a soft toy and left a bracelet and Teddy TB.
This was the last cache before our 100th cache.
It looks like motorbikes come here quiet often.

I followed the well-established geo-trail to its conclusion, then I came back and found the cache. Obvious when you see it. TNLN. Thanks SA Bloodhound.
Rocky Glen Groms found this one easily - Bute drive, bute location, bute town! Jas GeoCoin (SGYQJ6) popped out for a look but didn't stay. Took Pink Pig, left a soft toy.
2nd visit to this one and today it was an easy find. Took a golf ball and not sure what I left. It was early am when I did this one.
Found on the wya north . Left Piggy and took Occy strap. Rellies have jsut names their new son Occy after the designer of this strap.
Drove past this one a month ago, but just as we were about to get out of the car all the batteries went flat and we had none in reserve, so we left it at that stage. However after the easy find today, I think we could have found it without the GPS anyway, as it didn't seem to be very accurate - could have been due to the rain and cloud cover.

Are you sure this is still in place? I had a good look today and could not find it anywhere near GPS was suggesting. I even checked the coordinates again to make sure I had not entered them incorrectly.
No. Not really. I was really looking forward to this one too. Searched and searched and searched but no good. GPSr wouldn’t settle down either. After a long drive there I left empty handed for another long drive to the next cache
U Brute! No joy here. I think I looked under every bush . Will keep an eye on this one.
Another find in a busy day of 'caching' approached it via the prickly route though!

After picking up Point Riley and Al's Driveby we thought we may as well complete the circle on our way back to the Port Hughes CP.
An easy find. Took Globalstar lanyard and left light stick.
Might not have been such as easy find 2 days earlier when a nearby fire threatened the town.
Thanks SA Bloodhound.

Reasonably familiar with Bute, but not this area. Took a bit of searching to find the right road, but the rest was simple. Just had to take the key fob, as it is a mickey mouse sitting on a large J. Replaced it with an Australian Army key fob. Thanks S A Bloodhound.
