I tried really hard but to get back on the road. Pretty trees and flowers though!
Did the circuit walk to find cache Appreciate the break from driving. Geo dog also very interested.
Heading home from a quick trip to Melbourne for State of origin. One stop on the trip home and another rest stop with two caches.Really enjoyed the walk here - wonder how many of these amazing plants were cleared in the adjoining areas to create the farmland you see. Quick find as I wandered in the bush.TFTC chewinprickles
After bush-bashing for 100mts we discovered the walking track! It was a much easier walk back to the car. Thanks for taking us on this walk that we would otherwise never have done.
These grass trees always amaze me. We bought one for our back yard, they're not cheap as they're tightly regulated and every one sold has to be registered.
A great little walk to stretch the legs. Some very impressive grass trees and even a wallaby. Thanks for the cache.
Found on the way home from Melbourne, literally said to my partner there should be a cash here pulled out my phone and bingo bango bongo 11m away
Wow what an adventure! Wrong turns & so many spider webs! Finally got on track & doing our way to GZ. Signed log & we are going to make our way out avoiding all the webs. TFTC!
It might be tempting to look at your phone while you walk to this one, but trust me, even if someone has already walked this track today, youre guaranteed to face-plant right into a spider web. Great little walk to get a stretch between drives
Signed TRC. Easy find and an easy stretch of the legs while on a long drive
Date: December 23, 2023 Time: 9:43 AMFind #14329On the way to Nagambie for a family Christmas do, but had heaps of time so stopped for some caches along the way.Massive thanks go to Chewinprickles for placing this one.
The last time I was passing by this cache could not be found. Today passing by again I corrected then previous irregularity by making a quick find. Thank you for this cache which provided a short walk in the bush and a break to my journey.
Stopped for a quick check today. In place and ready to be found. Still disappointing that the original container is gone. It was pretty much one of a kind and had survived for nearly 2 decades. Nevermind: onwards and upwards.
TFTC chewinprickles. Nice hide and find second time round. What with the replacement cache and all! Jimmytherat with Noelle04
Thanks chewinpickles, found on 2nd attempt, was missing last time. On way to farm sit at Gooram. Great spot for a stretch of the legs & bonus cache. With Jimmytherat.
A whole four day trip with Aquilus1 to do the GeoTour in Ballarat some caching around Geelong and anything else that looked good on the way.
Weather was ok albeit a bit on the wet side for the first two days. Now on day 3 the weather is bice and sunny and we are pressing on with the last few Geotour caches on the way out and driving towards Queenscliff.
On our way back tom Canberra now.
This cache was one of the ones we had the oportunity to do.
What a great spot that we drive past here not knowing on the highway. Awesome groce of grass trees some of the biggest I have ever seen. Thabks for replacing! A FAVpoint. We found the cache 7m to the north of the coords.
Thank you chewinprickles for the nice cache and experience you gave us!

Having two caches makes this a good stop. The short walk around to see the grass trees makes it a great stop off! I love that this is a nice old cache, but the walk it highlights was equally as delightful. FP added.
This cache was one found on a trip away with Flintstone's for 4 days. We had the Geotour in Ballarat as our target, and made our way as far as Queenscliff.
Ballarat caching was a joy, and with the tour, we saw many lovely and interesting locations as well as stopping for many other caches as we passed. Lots of little walks helped with the colder first few days as well as being quite scenic.
A change of weather and scenery towards Queenscliff but the coast was a great place to visit with plenty to do and see. As always, more to do than there was time for, will just have to return one day! Thank you for your cache!

Ready to be found again. Sorry to those who attempted this while it was gone.
Still working on the replacement for this one but I should have something back in place within the next week all being well. In any case I really really want to keep this cache in operation.
Thanks
Thanks
Despite this cache being in place for 18 years with little maintenance, it seems to have disappeared.
I’ll check at first opportunity.
This is definitely one cache I wish to keep alive as long as possible.
Thanks

Thought I found it but alas. . Grandaughter recently found this one and says GZ is empty. . . Will Monitor and revisit. . TFTC
Checked on this cache on the 16th June and it was all good! I sincerely hope the recent DNF by LeanneH is not correct but I'll keep an eye on it anyway.
Fun stop with bdp on the way back from Melbourne with our dogs fresh out of quarantine.

Easter in Rutherglen. This cache was found on the trip heading east.

Heading to Canberra today with WendyB158 to walk the Centennial Trail, we stopped here for a break and to walk the dog. The grass tree walk was just a perfect leg stretch.
Then some old friends from our endurance riding days pulled into the rest area to give their horses a break on the way to the Eldorado Endurance Competition. Can't go anywhere in secret eh!
TFTC chewinprickles. All good at GZ.

#218 Found at 10:35pm signed log 13th by accident.
Find 1 Day 17 of Melbourne work trip, heading home.
Long walk there and back. Good size cache. I also saw someone else walk in there as well with there phone as I was searching for the other one maybe a geocacher?
Edit: I just realized I sign the log the wrong date if someone doesn’t mind changing it from 13 to 14 for me that would be awesome.

Find #3002 for me. Found at 7pm while on my way back to Bendigo from the Dragon Hunter cache. I had a TB to drop off so I chose this cache given it's larger size. After returning to the car, the couple parked next to me asked me if I'd found it. Ah, fellow geocachers! I think their caching name was BrownCows3 but I might have that slightly wrong. Anyway, it was a nice way to break the trip up before heading back to Bendigo. Thanks for the fun and the cache chewinprickles!
Heading from Geelong and Dandenong, on a return trip to Sydney after spending some QT with my daughter and Granddaughter. But as I was travelling back on my own, I decided that I would need plenty of opportunities to stop and take a breather. I set up a list containing over 50 hides, but fully understanding that unless I was to do this trip over 2 or 3 days, that was never going to happen!
This ended up being my first stop as all the previous ones would have been a pain to get back on the Highway due to the heavy traffic. As I pulled in, I realised, oh, I’ve been here before, except it was pouring with rain. I exited the GeoSuzi after some refreshments and saw there was a walking trail that may well take me where I want to be! Going by the number of spiders, it must have been some time since anyone had been here. I wax marvelling at the vegetation and the cicadas where deafening, but soon enough came across the hide.
Signed and replaced a little better hopefully.
Thanks for the break!

Walked the walk to stretch the legs and make a pit stop on our way home from Gippsland. All good here. A number of trackables visited with us. Cheers Chewin
Lovely walk awesome pitstop noisy loud cicadas but otherwise a lovely path to stretch the legs. TFTH..I love these oldies
Collecting a few caches on our trip home. With the cache in hand, we signed the log and then replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition, log is full. Thanks for the cache chewinprickles
A trip to check out some of the awesome places in Victoria and grab some old caches. TFTC.

Day 17 of our Whittlesea Road Trip and making our way from Whittlesea to Rutherglen and stopping for a few caches along the way as well as an AL. Thanks to the COs for these caches.
Out and about today travelling from Whittlesea (where we attended the Mega Event) to Rutherglen. Along the way we stopped to do caches. Thank you to CO for placing them there. Found cache and signed log. TFTC
Trying to catch up with some late logs, prior to the Mega, so some travel bugs can get dropped off. Sorry for the generic log.
Found this hide while staying around the area.
Thanks Chewinprickles for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

What a lovely walk to stretch my legs . Come from Melbourne to go to Bright photography festival . Tft distraction and great trail.
In Melbourne for work training, we finished early so I had a bit of time up my sleeve to cherry pick some caches on the way home.
Last one for the day as its dark now and I really need to get home! Cache found quickly with the light on my phone. Signed and off I went for the boring dark drive home.

Wow a walking track here, and the cache right next to it, wonderful.

Found on our way home after a weekend of culture in Melbourne. A short walk to break the journey. TFTC
So many caching opportunities missed as we stay focused on our reason for travelling through the area. I figure we need to get out for the occasional stretch and a break from driving, and what better place than near a cache. This was an unexpected but very enjoyable walk to gz.
Thanks for adding to our enjoyable and brief road trip..
Thanks for adding to our enjoyable and brief road trip..
Well……we got a bit lost on this one…. We started out on a small, overgrown track that led to nowhere, then realised from the comments that this was definitely NOT the path we were supposed to be on. So I assumed that the only way to get to GZ was to walk along the road and then up the hill. While it was quite an exciting adventure walking through the shrub (although sometimes a little too exciting), when we finally reached the cache, we realised there was a much more beautiful path we should have come on. So I’ve attached a non-spoiler photo of the entrance to this path for any future cachers who may run into the same difficulties as us.
TFTC!

Holiday time! We enjoyed the grass trees and the botany lesson. As we passed each tree we estimated its age based on its height. We are normally in such a hurry to reach our destination we don’t take the time to admire the world around us. Thank you Chewinprickles for placing and maintaining Xanthorrhoea Johnsonii for us to find today.
Find # 1050.

On our way to Wangaratta we stopped to pick up a Travelling North cache, then onto this one. Both times we took the incorrect route, in this case, the wrong track. After Steve nearly walked into a huge spider, we returned to our starting point and noticed a much better option, so while I returned to the car, Steve made the solo walk on his own straight to GZ.
Thank you for the cache chewinprickles.

The places you go to find a cache. What lovely grass trees here. But if a hike up the hill then realised there was a path. Log stamped and I grabbed the TB. TFTC

On the road again... this time to Bright! Made a stop here for a leg stretch and a cache.

Heading to the Wangaratta MEGA over the weekend and needed a quick pit stop. Checked to see if there were any caches nearby and got lucky with two of them in the same carpark. Went for a walk to check out the bush trees and a cache. Quick find when we got to GZ. Log signed and rehid. TFTC
Heading to the mega with kenare and kenbryl with a few stops along the way. Considering we were going straight there we did a good job of not doing that. Kenare had her hands on this one and we were on our way. Tftc
On the road with Jenno3 and kenbryl picking up a few caches as we go. With no real plan in mind.... Who am I kidding!! Of course we are on our way to Wang for Mega!!!! After a nice brief walk we soon had the cache signed and replaced. tftc
On our walk to this one we scared an animal off. Not sure what it was, but it kind of looked like a cross between a hare and fox. Weird. tftc on a walking track that I didn't expect to see here. Its very pretty.
Very popular rest stop where we spotted many fellow geocachers stretching their legs and collecting a couple of nearby smiley faces. After a short stroll through the bush, we had the cache in hand.
Log signed and replaced where we found it!! I'm sure ill see the other geocachers in Wangaratta Thanks for the hide.
