Early for an appointment so thought I'd grab this first. Not sure the route I took was the best though! QEF once at GZ thanks to perfect (and welcome!) hint. SL TFTC
didnt have my pen but left my mark. And a Yosemite sticker, for a cacher who loves parks!
Thought this might be a bit of a mission but it turned out to be a piece of cake due to good co-ordinates, good hint and well-maintained cache. Another one for the JASMER. TFTC.
I came from the carpark down the stairs - a nice quick find here. Possibly the oldest cache I will find this trip.TFTC The Golfers (Auckland)
Found it as soon as we got there and my dad slipped on his ass trying to find this one
No luck with this one. A beautiful spot but the area has suffered damage from the cyclone and the cache might have been washed away.
A nice quick find here today with the hint. Nice to turn our frown upside down. TFTC
Found! Forgot a pen to sign log, but just managed to squeeze a swiftmantis sticker in for the next finder
Found whilst out with mum keylev and a group of Team SEAC. Had lots of fun today.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
So today a crowd of 14 Team SEAC members encompassing 10 different caching names travelled north to the park and attempted all caches in the park. Logs were signed SEAC to save space. The weather today was perfect. Once we had found all the cahces int he park we headed out into the surrounding area to make more finds. There was an amazing hill on the way to the cache and Mr NZT decided to roll down the hill - such a great laugh for all of us watching him try and stand after, Another nice quick find with so many people looking.
Out with my geocaching buddies from Team SEAC exploring Shakespear Park. All logs signed Team SEAC.
Thanks for placing this cache.
Thanks for placing this cache.
Headed up this way today after one of our group suggested (for the fourth attempt) to take a walk around the park....as we had camped up here a few times before, we jumped at the opportunity, plus it was an opportunity of catching up with the group after being locked down by Covid-19.....parked, and headed into the park.
Now out of the park collecting nearby caches....
Signed in as SEAC to save logbook space.

After a morning of caching in Shakespeare Park some of the team SEAC team continued on caching as it turns out well into the night!!
After Mr NZT rolled down the hill - yes on purpose...it was a nice quick find here and this fills a dot in my hidden by month grid.

The Team SEAC group were hitting Shakespeare Regional Park. We had attempted this 3 times previous but were thwarted with COVID lockdowns and bad weather. NEITHER were an issue today as we were greeted with an amazing day and a LARGE proportion of the Team SEAC members turning out. The kids were in full force with B4Dawn diligently pushing B4Dawn VERY Mini cacher ALL the way around the park in a buggy type pram! All logs signed Team SEAC to save log Paper.

Team SEAC was out in force today with a mission to knock off the caches to be found in Shakespear Park at the end of Whangaparaoa. This had been on the cards for quite a while now but had always been thwarted by either COVID or bad weather. Today was our fourth attempt at getting the crew together and claiming this area. Having conquered the park, it was time for a few more.
On our way to the Earth Cache just here, we thought it would be rude if we did;t pick this cache up along the way. So, as we were heading down to the beach, we stopped at the place that we were told to go to and had a wee look around. Something caught our eyes and upon investigation, the cache was revealed. (Log signed Team SEAC to preserve log space)

Back in the area to avenge some dnfs and collect some new caches. This one was a dnf nearly a year ago and once cache was gone (confirmed by a previous finder). Have replaced cache in a safe place that matches the hint and sent CO a message
Out again with Mum (SethRaven) gathering this months mountain and a challenge for Christchurch. Nice little spot down here. TFTC
Out on the North Shore with 2FLYTim, we are gathering finds for the next mountain and also working towards the Spelling Bee challenge in Chch . . . . . . takes a bit of planning but this is the third month of the Spelling Bee and so far so good. This cache container was just lying in plain sight so we tucked away a little better. TFTC
Think I took the unconventional route to the cache but was a good find nonetheless!
Grew up on the coast and never knew this Cliff top walk and beauty of a beach was here! Added bonus of some caches to keep the kids interested too!
Go to end of okoromai views (is a cul de sac) or do the long walk which is really nice too
Container has a red lid. Forgot to bring a pen so couldn’t sign. Will come back another time
The cache has been replaced, thank you The Golfers for letting me adopt your cache.
Hmmm no luck here today! Had a good look through comments and surrounding area.
This one was not on the third step up or anywhere near it, but like we are always told to do, it’s back where I found it. Much nearer the top of the steps and visible as you walk up in case you're mystified by the hint. Crucial for us to get this old one as it fills a gap in our Jasmer grid!!
Found at second time of looking after we’d been to the nearby earth cache. Not at the hint step - look higher!! TFTC
Didn't need the GPS to find this one - was a very quick and easy find once we stopped to look around
We looked for ages then went back today beautiful spot and good find with fresh eyes!
Lovely little spot. Made a loop walk to get to this one. Got a bit wet on return leg, but water nice and warm. Thanks very much for placing the cache and bringing me here.
A really beautiful place and it was hided really simple, but because there was so many option to hide the cash we needed the hint. Wonderful quit place, perfect for a geocache!
I have checked the cache. On arrival saw a lot of rubbish around the area indicating that the cache could have been discovered and destroyed. Have disposed of this rubbish and the cache is still safe and sound waiting for you.
Two fo us had a pretty thorough search of the area. A PAF confirmed we were looking in the right place but there is nothing to be found so I think the CO needs to check this one

Our first attempt at geocaching was a big fail! Felt like we were right on the spot but no sign of a cashe.
We are over from Adelaide staying with friends nearby so dragged the kids out to make their first find. They thought it was pretty exciting as the well hidden cache was well stocked with goodies.
Only time for the one as 4yr olds are not keen on walking!!!
TFTC great hiding spot.

Nice spot the walk was well worth it for the views. Myself and daughter Abigail visited this today and somehow managed to to convince ourselves that gz wa some where else miles away despite having done our first search there.. Strolled for ages, climbed down a rope somewhere realised our mistake so turned around, walked back the way we came and found it real quick.. nice day sunny with a cooling breeze. Thanks for the memorable hack.. put some stuff in. Cache ok.
OMG the hardest treasure until now. You really need to follow the hints but also your intuition very well. Once you find it, you'll be so glad with treasures inside the container. This game is getting so interesting. I found it with Bianca!!!
With rustynz, I see posted under her log is a image of the signed log, and there is my original name little rebel, which I have now changed to little blackbird1.
Just a little behind with the logging (well we forgot!)
Thanks for the hide, school holiday fun

Its the school holidays and we are on a caching adventure to Shakespeare Park. This is our first find the day. Its fairly dry the approach.
Arrived at GZ and could not find the cache, but once I was on the right level, I was soon retrieving the log
With little rebel and muggle, so we continued onto the beach. Made the mistake of being on the right outer part of the track, and slipped. Luckily no one injured, but pleased to be off the wet rock.
Thanks The Golfers for the hide, and keeping this cache going, a stunning winters day to find some caches.

#526. When I was here 9 months ago I searched for such a long time and didn't end up finding it. Typical - when I was back today I found it within 90 seconds. It was probably there the whole time - I don't remember looking in this spot before despite it being fairly obvious!
I didn't even need the GPS, when walking down from where I parked on the nearby road I recognised the area straight away. Was down to the cache and back to my car within 5 minutes.
Thanks for the cache!

I found this one with Sveinivar, who visits us from Norway for some days.
This was a 'bonus cache' after visiting the nearby earthcache.

This is my second day in New Zealand. The contrast from the less than favorable cache conditions in Bergen, Norway with minus 5C and snow to the conditions here in Auckland area is huge.
shendseth arranged a cache trip to the Shakespear park to show us the New Zealand nature and some caches. We logged som ECs (always a priority), one letterbox and some mysteries on our trip.
Thank you for making this vacation a bit more interesting with this cache

Out and about for a spot of cache detection on this overcast day. I parked up and made my way down the Hill to the track then over to GZ. Cache was soon found after a brief search. Nicely hidden. Good to see a hide well over ten years in age still in action. Found a TB (TB46CTJ) in the cache, which I will move along. Cheers for the cache placement!
Well this took way longer than anticipated. Not being from here was a little confusing as go how to get go cache.
Luck had it that we stumbled across correct walkway and straight to cache. However for those wishing to take short cut, walkway is at end of okoromai views.
Once there easy find and nice walk along the beach to discover the caves. Nice day for a swim.
Tftc. Will return here.

Found today while out with Riser5 to snag an Earthcache Sadly I wasn't up to getting more caches- joys of being in a wedding party the night before. TFTC
Quick find while here for the Earthcache. Found some snapper biscuits out of the sand flats as well as about 60 swans.
Out on a sunny day with SandersonHunters. Enjoyed looking around this area and finding the cache. Thanks The Golfers.
Took the support crew and found it quickly after having no luck last time. Lovely spot. TFTC
I really wanted to find this one after finding the nearby earthcache... unfortunately I looked for 20 minutes with no luck. So sadly I have to add my DNF to the list.
Another bad thing is that I started the walk at the coordinates specified in the description, however the track there is closed with a great big fence (see picture) - so I would recommend starting from somewhere else.
I hope I didn't find the handle of the cache at GZ - see picture.
I see a lot of people are having trouble finding this one though, so it might be still there! Maybe the difficulty is more than 1.5... what do you think?

Had a good look around but no luck today. Will have to come back with more troops. Lovely spot, lived up here for 5 years but never been to this entrance
so thanks .
so thanks .
As not found for a number of months have checked to see if still ok - and yes its still there.
