I left the rest of team Fellamee Lad at Underwater World and headed off in search of GC2AK4D, but somewhere along the way I took a wrong turn and passed a pagoda that showed in terrible detail the local snakes which made me concerned if I was going to be rummaging around in the undergrowth. Eventually I ended up stumbling across the dragon. Well when you are given lemons, etc.
So I searched around and thought I had the cache straight away, only to discover with disgust it was someone's discarded takeaway box Sad I then proceeded with more caution and on finding a pen and a sealable bag thought the cache must have been muggled. I was starting to wonder if I was more at risk from snakes or getting sliced open by garbage.
I was running out of time and thought I would abandon, but then remembered that I had not observed the golden rule of DNFs "Go to Ground Zero". I'd been so excited by the dragon I forgot!!. So out with the GPS again and I realised I was going to have make a leap of faith, and of course, there was the cache.

As noted previously the logbook is sodden and needs replacing. But the site needs a good CITO event to clean it up.
Worth a favourite. Thanks for the Cache

Took the two TBs in order to make space for the Flying Dutchman

We found this cache just before the heavens opened after a great day at Santosa. Especially the kids had a ball and the luge ride was fantastic.
The cache was indeed a little exposed but its location seems pretty safe.

The cache IS there and hidden as described by the owner (at least it was as of 8th July 2011) - it just requires some effort to find. It is not muggled, and does not require maintenance.

Found at 14:20 with Alex and Sam, the nephew geocachers-in-training.

Alex and Sam enthusiastically helped me to look for this one. We were almost ready to give up when we decided to look one more place - and there it was!

Quick Singapore visit with fitzy_1965 and Sol de Lune.
This dragon is amazing, i'm sure my son would have loved seeing it, but he wasn't with us on this trip.
We had a bit of trouble finding this one and had to expand our search area, but eventually Sol came up with the goods.
Thanks for bringing us to this amazing piece of sculpture. Smile

2803 - Fifth find on our quick Singapore visit...

We spent the whole day on Sentosa and these caches were some of the highlights ! Well worth the visit.

The Dragon is very well done. We looked for a while then Sol expanded his search and came up with the goods. Cache is soaked and needs a new log.

TNLN - TFTC !!

Cheers....

Found with fitzy_1965 and ACBC 66 on our week long trip to Singapore.

We were about to give it away when we looked just a little further than first thought, and the find was made. Cache was very very wet and the log books hard to write in, however we made our mark before moving on. The red house brick is sort of a good cover...................

Thanks for showing us the area.

Found the location easily enough but a long search and we could not find the cache. Lots of leaves and mess washed down by heavy rain so maybe cache has shifted or is just very well hidden?

Since I was on Sentosa for the tidal cache, thought I would go past this cache as well. Had heard about the Sentosa Dragon, but had never visited it before. Cache was a quick find, in a logical place. A little wet inside, but the log books were not too bad. Picked up one of the geocoins, to move on. LN, SL, TFTC! #262.

As advertised.

A really striking piece of sculpture hidden away beside the more glitzy attractions.

No TB in cache.

TNLNSL. I'm not sure whether this is my first cache north of the equator or not but it's certainly my first in Singapore.

I was searching in the night and all the snakes are sleeping (and theire owners Smile.
So i had enougth time to look for the cache.
Unfortunatly it's not easy fo find a box in the darkness.
But i could use my camera as a torch and so I found it.
Thanks for the nice cache and good by "Shuttle" (TB) next stop for U is down-under.

Wasn't sure that I was going to get to this one as there was a tree lying across the path. But, a good geocacher never gives up.

Found within minutes of arriving at this spot. I sat down on the claw to log the cache and nearly got carried away by the giant red ants!

Thanks for a great cache.

PS: While waiting for my wife and kids to come back with ice cream, I saw the infamous white python having his photo taken!

What a great dragon! Finally found the cache after I checked the RIGHT right claw. Duh! . This was my 200th find - an auspicious moment because I was also born in the chinese year of the dragon. Left koala, TN TFTC.

2.00pm Singapore time Team:A
On a visit to Sentosa we set out with notes for 2 caches, this is the only one we found, we missed the easier virtual one, will have to try that next time.
We did not see any TB's in this one but visited our bunch and left our 2005-50 Cent WWII Rembrance 4-11 travellers 11 ingot.
Thanks for a cache we could find whilst on holidays from Australia.

A plain traditional cache on a pleasant jungle walk. Thanks!

Took SJ Stealth coin, dropped off Cornish coin (hopefully starting its travels back to Cornwall) and Tumby Bag TB.

No muggles in evidence the whole time, but the family kept watch from the path to be sure.

We started at the wrong end of the trail for this one, but it was an interesting walk anyway, albeit a bit warm and humid today.
Cache was found safe and sound, but a bit in the open. Thanks for giving us a good excuse to look at one of Sentosa's lesser known attractions.

13:47 First cache of the day on our Island adventure, we just got off the cable car. KiwiTulip was a little freaked out by the height Smile.

The Dragon is very impressive, its good that he is protecting cache.

The cache was doing well and is nice and dry. Thanks for the cache guys and great to meet all three of you the other night.
