After finding ourselves on the wrong side of the river and wading through a DNF was a disappointment. Nice track though
A pleasant find during an afternoon of caching in and around Geraldine

This area has some spectacular natural attractions.

Only gave a half an effort here as I saw the previous DNFs. Even so, I was in the area and had to give it a go.
Had a look around all the hint locations. Went to the logs and found it has not been found by the last few people. So we moved on.
We had no luck here today, after a exhaustive search we couldnt uncover this one.
Found this neat cache during the 2012 Mega Event. Apologize to the CO for the late log but issue's have had us put some things on hold for a while.
Many Thanks for the neat cache.
TNLNSL.

Could see lots of evidence of recent searches and we also searched
in those likely places but did not uncover the cache.
We were heading 200Km South so had to move on.
Enjoyed the walk to GX though.

Travelling in our Geo Hire Car with the Aussie flag flying (almost Aussie ribbons now ), tends to attract a few comments from muggles, we were heading from Geraldine to Alexandra.
We didn't leave till nearly 9am but also didn't arrive in Alexandra till nearly 8pm, with lot's of caches picked up enroute and a lengthy stop to enjoy the scenery and a coffee after lunch.
This route was suggested to us on the local forum and we have to say, thank you very much for the information, it has proved to be a great day of epic proportions. Scenery has been fabulous even though quite cloudy for most of the day, still so much to see, enjoy and we took 100's of photo's.
2 of us searched for ages and then joined by 3rd we searched again. Maybe 30 minutes for 3 of us but no luck at all so we just had to move on. Not happy but you get that.
so many caches for us to track down.

After a great day in the surroundings of Mount Cook we ended up in Geraldine, since we have to deliver our campervan in Christchurch tomorrow. Following the recommendation of team 1066 in the local wool store we went to the creek to find some caches. Unfortunately this one was at the 'wrong side'. Since I was tired, pulled my shoes of and walked to the other side. Once there the cache was quickly found. Thanks for that!

A nice and easy cache if you just want to go a bit for a walk along the river. TFTC
This had clearly been muggled - open and scattered. Container and log all secure, hidden according to hint and under bark.
After walking up and down the river, we realised we were on the wrong side.
The Mr found this one- his very first cache find, yay for him! Loverly walk, brought along a tb for a visit and took a photo.

Came from the wrong side of the river so had a river crossing with Junior Harrybee. All fun. TFTC
TFTC. Picked up tuit coin to take back to the other side of the world in a couple of days.
Found while out on a day trip to Geraldine. + antiprocrastination (tuit) coin, to begin its journey away from the shaky city.

On our way to Christchurch we made a stop at Geraldine and also look for this cache. It was a little tricky to find the right way but we did it.

Took a group of 12 Geraldine Rangers out to experience Geocaching for the first time. Left a ranger cloth badge.
Bit harder than we first thought, but we got there in the end. TFTC

Nice hide. Fern is a bit dead now, luckily Mr. Rex spotted one living part of it to spot the right stump.
Shock, Horror!, nearly missed this one, had to double back. Took a little searching to locate. TFTC
TFTC. A lovely stroll along the river side. GPS was out by several meters - best to rely on "caching sense" here so as not to cause unnecessary damage to the vegetation.
Night adds a different dimension to caching. Found quickly. Thanks for the hide.
On holiday in NZ! Eventually, after lengthy flight delays due to the volcano in Chile. First find with my daughter. Cache in good nick. TFTC
Additional to previous "Found it" log. Tadpoles71/Rowley team embodied the CITO philosophy with great gusto!! Rowley's Rock =)
Another excellent walkway in Geraldine. Quick find in a lovely spot. Thanks for bringing us here on our Easter travels...
A bit damp along the walk today but still managed to find this safe and sound.TNLNSL
Spent a while looking for this cache only to eventually coming back to the first place we looked. Must remember to trust the GPS! TFTC
Have only just got round to logging this. Was at Peel Forest on the day of the Christchurch earthquake and this is the first time I have managed to get to the website. TFTC
Our bus to Christchurch made one last stop here, though a rather short one. I hurried to the park area and found my way to the cache blocked by a shallow river! Walking along it, I quickly found a suitable place to splash across (luckily, there were no muggles around to witness my rather peculiar behaviour) and found the cache quickly once I was on the other side. TFTC!
We had a good old walk/drive around Geraldine today and found this cache on the river walk. This really is a lovely little town. TFTC.
1400hrs Nice park. The Italian Job was here......! Our blog www.motorhominginxs.blogspot.com
Took a little hunting, and I missed it at first, but Pohutukawa made up for me overlooking the potential find. Cheers Gav [7122]
We enjoyed first the coffee in Geraldine and later the wee stroll at the River. TFTC
First cache of the afternoon in Geraldine.. Took the short route to the cache, directly across the river.. Was lovely and cool to cross it on the hot day.. Thanks for the cache..
Took a trip from Canada to New Zealand to visit my brother and nephew over Christmas. Did some caching and was taken to some pretty amazing places. Thanks for the cache!
Pleasant stroll beside the river. Not much water in it at present and we could see where vehicles had been driving along it. We wondered how far they got? Great hiding place and the cache was safely tucked back at full arm's length. SL. TFTC.
Really nice walkway - great to stretch the legs on a drive from Christchurch to Wanaka!
Walked to this cache from the town. Very enjoyable short walk, thanks.
Last entry may be a muggle (Fred Dagg 23). Cache was found very exposed.
