Tftc. Collected the numbers easily and got to gz for an easy find. Nice walk in the park and bush.
HawMorFords I found your cache ANZAC on 7/8/2024, 10:25AM. This is my find 6904 and find # 1 today. Gathered the required information and formulated the final coordinates. Arrived at GZ for a quick and easy find. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Heading from the Gold Coast back towards Brisbane Direction and grabbing some of the old geocaches along the way. On our way back to Mackay and seeing what other spaces we can fill on the DT grid. Tftc slOn a caching holiday from Mackay. In the search of old caches and ones to fill DT grid spaces. Found TFTC SL Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
Davinells had a plan, to reach a milestone by the end of the year. But that meant some serious caching, so Ive come to Brisbane where I can cache until I cant walk anymore. After a ride along the motorway with chamad I was near this multi so went for a walk to get this old multi. I was looking for something bigger so I was a bit slow making the find.Nice to see this oldie still in play. Tftc HawMorFordsFind #4962
Needed an oldie multi and this fabulous cache fit the bill. Thanks for the maintenance & up keep for our enjoyment
After finishing work in the neighbourhood I head to this cache. I got to placement area to find the information to get coord for the finals. Then walk to the GZ and found the cache, signed the log.
HawMorFords thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for enjoyment of the caching community.

I rarely plan my caching Wednesdays, often opting to just go with the flow once the day starts. Today was such a day, and I picked an area where there were one or two oldies I was after and decided to grab whatever other caches might happen to be in the vicinity at the same time.
This was the first one today, one of those aforementioned oldies. I parked the car and wandered my way to what I thought was the starting location. Blonde moment! No, that was just what was marked as parking coords, which I realised only after not being able to find the memorial with the required info on.
Well with that lightbulb finally switching on, I made my way to where Jack’s memorial was and then managed to easily make my way through each of the required stages before it was time to hit GZ where a quick find was made.
Thanks for the cache HawMorFords.

When I first attempted this cache, I could not find the coordinates at WP2 no matter how hard I looked. Later, I was showing a friend a photograph of the place where I thought they should have been and when I zoomed in on the photo, there they were.
Since then I have gotten new glasses and was back today to see if o could finish this one off.
It took me a while to find it because I was looking around for the original ammo can. Eventually a glint of colour caught my eye and I realised the container must have been replaced with a smaller one.
Another HawMorFords cache lives on.

Not surprised really. Another broken HawMorFords multi. It looks to me like the sticker at WP2 has been removed and replaced with a munzee. It would need to be confirmed by someone who has done this multi before.
Always nice to track down an older cache. We went for a bit of a wander first and then located the little plaque - so easy to miss as it smaller than what I anticipated. Headed off from there managing to take a long way round. Off to the next spot, then finally on to the final - what a view (also just a smidge worrying). Everything was in good shape, at some point a redoing a WP2 might be needed as it was just hanging in there.
Out and about with the usual group. Nice little ride on the geo-scooter where I could.

Attended a Secret Santa Event close by and I have had this one in my to do list for a very long time so as we were in the same Park it was a must do.
After the Event a larger than usual group set off in the wrong direction and had a fence between WP1 and WP2 so had to back track and take another route which I think was a bit easier.
Soon had our hands on the cache and the log signed before replacing all as found. TFTC

After the Secret Santa event, we planned to pick up this oldie. But I have to pick up my much missed drink bottle from a previous finder's car who offered to drive me to what we thought was the final! So much discussions and catching up and some confusion as you do when you haven't seen each other for quite awhile, we somehow managed to find the cache and signed our names.
Thank you for the cache HawMorFords.

On completion of the nearby Event a few of us decided to join forces and do this multi.
I thought it was going to be a quick one, not so, but ended up seeing a lot more of this location than expected.
Thanks HawMorFords for this beaut multi, sure got a work out today and the cache found quickly once GZ was worked out.

Made a stop in Brisbane on our way west to find a small selection of caches. Always love a multi and this one was no exception. Thanks for the info lesson on Jacks Gully here.
Time for a wander with my geo-buddy out from Ireland. This was one of the caches chosen. Ol’ Jack sounded like an interesting guy. It was nice out here today. Thanks for the cache.

Another adventure with Wayn0 and today's focus was on oldies. I have this jasmer boxed ticked but need double of every month in 2005 for a challenge I once signed. Interesting info at the start of the multi that brought us on a little ramble. TFTC
What a lovely way to start a Monday. Brushing off the cobwebs going for a little walk around to find this cache. I had to collect a shirt that I had purchased from Marketplace and the house overlooked the park. Of course I decided that since I was over this way of town I'd grab a cache and I was so pleased to find the closest was this multi. A very enjoyable little time was had solving this one. Cache is in good order. TFTC HawMorFords.
Glad I parked closer than suggested, making a quick hike and find. My GPS almost gave up at gz, but a familiar hide hole came up with the goods.

Our first successful cache as Team Djali, and we are very proud of our efforts. Our first attempt ran late just as we located the final waypoint, and we were put off by the dark scrub. This attempt we managed to find it quickly without too much trouble. Turns out the scrub wasn't an issue in the end.
Could not find. We followed all the waypoints and believe we did the correct calculations to lead us to the final location. We also checked with the previous finder who let us know that we had the coordinates correct. We searched high and low and upturned everything we could, but had no luck finding the small container that previous finders had posted in their logs. Hopefully we will have better luck next time
We searched high and low for the cache and had no luck. We confirmed with the previous finder that the coordinates were correct. Maintenance suggested.
I walked in with some swag to add to the regular ammo box only to discover it has shrunk to a small sistema. I managed to squeeze it in. Thanks for the multi & the cache.
Found today tracking down a few oldies. Great to do this multi. Lovely little walk.
All good here except cache is not a ammo can any more . More a small. Anyway the cache is in great condition.

Cache 7407 on 4 Apr 2021.
Finally, a real geocaching mission with an airplane flight, nights away, so many caches on the list and a road trip home! Flew up from CBR on 1 April with TikvaNZ to join Fox in Jox for a 5 day full-on mission centred around attending the Dayboro Mega event. Plan is to cache in around BNE, targeting old caches, virtuals, LBHs, Wherigos, DT combinations and anything else that takes our fancy and then start heading home Monday via as many counties as we can squeeze in. We have so many caches on the list we are unlikely to get them all, but we will try our best! Don’t care if it rains or snows - QLD here we come!
This cache: straight forward multi, sadly no ammo can at GZ, but happy to see a cache anyway. Glad to grab another oldie!
Thanks HawMorFords for the cache and the fun!

Last one on my way back to Toowoomba and this is a cache I have wanted to stop off at every time we driven passed but time hasn't allowed. Today we had a bit extra up our sleeve and we started our hunt off. Waypoints were easy to follow and soon I found myself at GZ to make a straightforward find. TFTC HawMorFords.
I had completed this multi a year or so ago only to find it missing at GZ. It was hot then too but at least I had water this time! Fabulous old multi and clever too. Fave point
Luckily Mrs trekker was here to do the maths for me today. After a short walk we had the cache in hand but were looking for the wrong cache container (no ammo tin like the description). TFTC
Nice little multi and walk. New container is small with no pen/pencil. No swaps either, so left one there. Tftc.
Chamad, Team Tyrrell, Willis007 and myself decided to go for a spot of geocaching today. We spent a good 7 - 8 hours exploring the Scenic Rim. We travelled to Mt Maroon, Lake Moogerah and several other locations on our travels back to Brisbane.
Today we ended up with 16 finds and bagged ourselves a couple of oldies. Woohoo!
A big thank you to every CO for placing caches at each of these location. Thank you for bringing us out to these wonderful locations. I always love coming out to this part of SEQ, it's always so magical, peaceful and beautiful.
Last cache for the day. Time to go home and rest up. We climbed two mountains and we're all exhausted!
Apologies for the generic post.

Out today with team Tyrrell, Willis007 and GeoNayFee to hit some target caches in the area. On the list was some particular D/T‘s, oldies, letterboxes, challenges and some trads. With a list set it was planned to get most of these in some form of order. But like all plans things are due to change along the way. It was a fun day with lots laughs along the way with a few long walks. In all we collected around 16 key caches and a few with some unloved.
Making our way back home and with still a few caches to grab and time ticking it was now time to concentrate on the list. Next one on my list was this one and I had it marked for a lot of reasons. It fills a date requirement, it is an oldie, it is a multi and its one I solved several months back and was a blimp I needed turned into a smile.
Having given our legs a rest it seemed ok to walk this short distance to make the grab, well so I thought. Made the find and a reasonably new cache, all good, signed the log and then it was back to our meeting point of the morning to say our goodbyes and home we go. Thank you for placing this one here and the nice walk around the park to obtain the info.
A truly fun day with a lot of laughs a few caches along the way and some nice people to share the day with.

Enjoyed our exploration of this park as we walked between waypoints and on to this cache. For those looking in future, the cache is now a small sistema. Cache was found safe and dry. Thanks
I had a plan to find several caches out this way today, this was my starting point. The clues were easily found, and the co-ords were spot on.
I made my way to GZ and found a few likely hiding spots. After checking them all and coming up with nothing, I then found a bong and a tin very close to GZ. Thinking those partaking in this other type of activity may have found the cache and discarded it nearby, I widened the search. I ended up finding the lid, then the container, and very luckily found the log.
With my name added to the log, I placed the cache in a well hidden spot where my phone had indicated the cache should be. Hopefully the other visitors to this area will not look for or find it.
Thanks for a great cache HawMorFords.

This was a great spot. Would have been a quick find if I could add up coordinates properly . Lucky geowife showed me the error of my maths and we were back on track. Geokids enjoyed the park and the walk. TFTC
A straight forward multi this afternoon.
WP 1 and 2 were easy, then straight to the final, found a good path there.
Many places to hide a cache but I soon spotted a corner of it.
Happy to add this one to my finds

We began this puzzle about 18 months ago, but somehow at waypoint 2 we could not find what was needed.
After a drive up Mount Cootha this morning, we decided to come and tackle this again. This time everything seemed to be very straight forward and we found what was needed straight away. I have no idea how we missed this last time, however good to make a quick find at WP2 today.
After putting the numbers together, we made a lovely walk to GZ where we quickly found the container. We are happy to have been able to add a smiley for this one. It’s a really lovely multi-cache.
Thanks

While we were in the park picking up a mystery we started the process of collecting what information we could. It didn’t look like it was going to get far because as we drove around there was nowhere to park and if someone was coming round you just had to keep driving.
Car parks in this park are definitely an endangered species and need their own stamp or coin to raise awareness of the shortage. With a waypoint plotted, we drove off expecting to be choked for parking again but this time found endless space. With GZ plotted we just took off on something that looked like a trail.
With a quick huff and puff up the hill the log was stamped and we were off home to reward ourselves with a bottle of wine of Chenin Blanc. We got back to the car ready to take off when I couldn’t find my car keys anywhere. I patted myself down and then Mrs Woodyrothwell patted me down in a non-sexual way. The only time I reached into my pockets was at GZ to get the stamp out.
We retraced our steps all the way to GZ where my wife spotted the keys on the ground. The day almost went pear-shaped fast but this time we are finally headed home for wine. tftc

This was fun to do. Nice walk, beautiful weather. Tftc NAB: smaller container than indicated
Got the required info at WP1 easily enough and like a bull in a china shop I raced off to WP2 only to realise I wasn’t where I needed to be. Retraced my steps and finally got to where I needed to be, only about 30m from where I was before. Calculations done I headed for the final. Two things happened here. Firstly I made a quick find of the cache. Secondly I realised I had lost my pen. Bummer (I’m thinking as I was trying to see if it was possible to get to WP2 from where I was). I guess it could have been worse and I lost my car keys. I thought about signing in blood but took a photo of the log book instead. Hopefully that will suffice. I left a couple of swaps as the cache was looking very empty. A lovely park and a beautiful morning for a nice walk. TFTC.
Still being a few multis short of a challenge, I set out on a multi quest today so pulled in here and did a turn or two of the park to get the info. Had some groovy numbers for a reasonable looking final so had a wander to see what I could find. A cache is what I found so I signed my name and returned it to its hide. All dry and well here.

We saw that the container has been replaced. A quick walk and the name was scribbled in the logbook. TFTC
Thanks for the adventure also thanks to Pprime for replacing the cache. Now we just need someone to replace the Friends DVD.
This is actually my third visit here. First time I was a wet-behind-the-ears newbie - 2011 sometime. I went to posted coords, found nothing, gave up and went elsewhere.
Then a month ago, somewhat more experienced now, I returned, went to WP1, sorted info there quickly enough (interesting story), then WP2 - no issue at all here, and off to GZ. Great spot. No cache . Since I had a former finder with me I could confirm it's not where it should have been.
Since then I've messaged the CO, spoken to other former finders and so was able to return today with a replacement to finish the journey off. A great spot, a great tribute (with ANZAC Day only a few week's away now).
Thanks HawMorFords for entertaining me at this location.

This was our 2. attempt. We aborted our first one as it was already quite dark, I had kids in tow and a feature near GZ ist not in the state as it was designed.
Today I came back with geopup for a play. Then I went to WP2 to check if I had taken the right numbers. Yep, the projected GZ was where we had been before. This time I took a slightly different approach but could not locate the cache. The GPS bounced a bit but you would think it's not too hard to find an ammo box here? Well, frustratingly for me it was...

After a bike ride nearby I decided to try for this multi. I found info at waypoint 1 then at waypoint 2 found the sticker. At gz I looked and looked and looked. I read previous logs and looked at photos but couldn't find this cache today. Will come back. Loved the tour around this park. Thankyou
After finding jacks gulley several times now, i felt it only right to go solve the rest, and today was that day. Rolled upto wp2 on the tredly, coords tweaked and away i went. In a complete mimic of the previous cachers adventure (sans dog owners) i knew i was onto a winner upon reading the log notes. Except, at gz i couldn't see an ammo tin anywhere. And an ammo tin is hard to miss. I did find however the remnants of a probable schoolkid theft, bag and contents strewn haphazardly about leaving me to possible ponder upon its recent discovery and walkabout. Sigh.
I honestly don't know why it's taken me so long to get to this one. I drive past here quite regularly. Anyway to was riding my new bike (Santa was good to good boys), around the various paths when I realised this one was begging to be found. Soon sorted the first set answers to move me to the second WP. Took one of my famous 'short cuts' but managed to stay alive and soon located the necessary data. Returning to my bike which I had left at the dog park I got a few suspicious looks by the folk there trying to get Fido to climb the ramp. OK, now it's interesting how do I reach the final. Returned to the last WP this time with bike, and headed down the gravel track. Ahh! dead end, followed another track which brought me back... to the dog park. Gave the now very suspicious folk there a cheery wave and toodled up the nearby road. Ahh, there's another path,so off I go again. Soon realising I needed to go bush I headed up a track or perhaps a washout on the trusty steed. By the way the bike is definitely not a mountain bike. Never the less I reached the required heights and started searching. Spotted it quickly as it was quite exposed. All good here through. I had to laugh at some of the swaps including a 'Friends' season 1 DVD, no less, not my cup of tea though so took nothing left nothing, signed the log and rehid with a bit more camo. Thanks HawMorFords, that was fun.
This cache has been neglected for a bit! Glad to complete it today, as we attempted it exactly a week ago but had a lot of problems as we couldn't find any plaques at all at the published coordinates. We got really frustrated last week and gave up, and it wasn't until a day later that I discovered there were meant to be waypoints included in the listing and the plaque wasn't meant to be at the published cache coordinates. For some reason, C:Geo hadn't downloaded the way points and the text wasnt clear enough as to where the plaque should be. It's lucky I discovered this glitch in C:Geo, as it happened to us again today with another cache.
With new information, we quickly had the puzzle solved but headed in the wrong direction, to find we weren't welcome to walk that way. So we returned to the car and this time chose the right way to approach the cache. Arch Monkey and I found the lovely big cache and were amused by the melted cover, as well as fascinated by the age of it. The book is full and a piece of paper is being used so a new log book is needed.
We had a lovely walk to the cache. Thanks for a great multi and bringing us to this wonderful park.

This cache had us confused from the outset. The listing isn't very clear about what to do, and C:Geo hadn't downloaded any waypoints, so we looked and looked at the published coordinates with no luck at all. Have we read the logs more carefully, we could have worked out that we were looking in the wrong spot. We even drove around the park looking, and asking people if they knew Jack's gully, but we couldn't find it or a plaque, so we gave up.
Up at Mt Coot-tha forest for brunch with a muggle and a maintenance run and decided to pick off a few nearby caches.

This was our last cache for the day and it didn't take us very long to locate the various way points. It was interesting to read Jack's sorry and it is nice for him to be remembered in this way. We had a great time along the way as we got closer to ground zero and overall had a very enjoyable day
Thank you HawMorFords for having placed the cache for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

It's Thursday and time for some traipsing around Toowong with Mrs JAT Last time I visited this park, it was to celebrate the the planting of the 1 millionth tree by Brisbane City Council and the then Lord Mayor Campbell Newman in 2010. It's great to now know that the planting of these trees continued on Jack's wonderful work in the area. Mrs JAT and I enjoyed our walk and search for the required numbers and the trek to GZ took us on walking trails we never knew existed. It's a shame school pick up time was rapidly drawing closer, I would have loved to have had more time to explore the area. TFTC HawMorFords
I was in Taringa Forest finding a few this morning (in May 2018) and I realised that I didn't log this Anzac find from last year! So I'm doing so now and backdating it, with a couple of photos as proof - hope that's okay, HawMorFords. Did the multi with the geo-kids, who learnt lots along the way, including more than they probably wanted to know about American sitcoms of the 90s and 00s. Thanks for the cache!
This was the first cache on our target list for today. We enjoyed our walk to the plaque and the history of this area. We did our calculations and headed off. At first we wandered where our gps's were taking us but as thè path seemed tobe used we continued u til we reached wp2. The view from this point was i teresting. The required information was quickly located and adjustments made. Again we wandered where we were going but trusted our equipment and calculations. We were soon heading into another bush reserve and the vegetation was changing. As we headed up we noticed there were many feralgarden plants that have escaped and are rapidly spreading through the native bush.
At GZ we were able to quickly locate the cache as it was lying in the open. We were pleased to see that the cache container and contents were in good condition despite a large amount of rubbish being stashed close by. After signing the log we read some of the first entries - we love to find old caches with their original log books, before tucking the container safely away and covering it with some nearby camo material.
We collected up the rubbish and headed back up the track where we met a muggle removing clumps of agave that are trying to colonise the hill top. She wondered what we were doing and after a chat about geocaching and volunteers màintaining their neighbouring bush land we said our goodbyes and began the return journey.
Thanks HawMorFords for a very enjoyable and informative multi cache. We hope the locals are able to maintain this large reserve and protect it from the urban sprawl so it canbe enjoyed by màny. We are giving this cache a favorite as it in cludes many of the things we enjoy about caching - interesting historical perspective, lovely bush walk, great size cache container, old cache with original logbook and great views.

Pleasant public hol outing with geobuddies tandelee. Didn't expect to go bush. Didn't think there would be bush. Glad input on the beast boots. Much fun. Tftc
Lovely afternoon walk, up a hill - it is always up a hill - out with one of the Bancroft5. Is it coffee time now? TFTC. Ps love finding bit of green space that I have been to before
2075 - I had never been to this Park and I wasn't even aware it was located here. Tonight was the night to change that. I parked the geomobile and headed off on a walk just as the 7 o'clock news started on the radio. I found it difficult to find a couple of bits of information at a couple of waypoints due to the dark, but after a long walk through the huge park I found the cache in great condition a bit after 8pm. Thanks for placing this cache here HawMorFords.
Have driven past this spot often and didn't realise the size of the park until it is visited. What a great tribute to Jack by his friends!! Found the cache after a decent walk, finding cris-crossing paths everywhere. TFTC HawMorFords
We were at the park for a pre-Xmas get together and the kids and I snuck off to find this cache. I was expecting to be running all around the park but we just kept getting further away from it. I was vaguely familiar with these trails from a cross country race a few years ago but as we got beyond the park we had to backtrack a couple of times before we found a suitable path. It was a fun little adventure and we got back to the picnic before anyone had noticed we were gone. TFTC HawMorFords
After a long day of geocaching thought we would try to find this one but realised it was actually four in one and with four tired geokids in tow we did not have the energy to track this one done. Phone was also almost flat.
Will be back!
Will be back!
Been wanting to do this one for a while and happened to be in the neighbourhood today. TFTC.
This was a longer walk than I had expected. I didn't realize this land reserve was as big as it is. Its a great place to wander through. Tftc!
Out caching with misssusan, remsjw, bennyboppers and jemillalucy. A great multi and a great walk. Didn't know there was a reserve here. TFTC!
Down from Toowoomba to finish off the August challenge...found the plaque and collected the info we needed...in hindsight what should have been straightforward was greatly overthunk...too smart for our own good our maths lead us across the highway and up the garden path...literally! Amazingly the coords looked quite legit and once on site placed us a couple of metres off a track...the only hiccup being nowhere for a sticker to be placed. We scratched our heads and recalculated and came up with the same result...obviously not correct we thought again and decided to simplify our approach....hmmmm, seems like we could be on to something. Back to the park and bingo! Final calculated and went for a leisurely walk right to GZ...90 mins after visiting WP1...nice view. Thanks HawMorFords.
This one was a bonus for the day. Checked the app after coming back across from the Gardens and this showed up. OK, WP1 Jack's Gully - I'll look for that while you take the kids to the park. The kids were enjoying the park so I continued on. WP2 quick and easy. Final calculated. I'd recommend covered shoes for GZ, some of the invasive ground cover was spiky after already bruising my knee slipping on loose stones. A great introduction to a new Brisbane park. TFTC.
Went for a trek this morning with my sister to find this cache. A nice walk through this park. No issues at WP1 but had a little bit of confusion at WP2 as there was a QR sticker there which i mistook for the marker. Found the correct marker and then it was smooth sailing to GZ. Took geocoin. TFTC HawMorFords.
We found this epic multi this morning while we were in the area to collect a smilie at a nearby puzzle. After a bit of a trek and a serious case of WP blindness we soon had the container in hand. Dropped a geocoin to continue its travels. Tftc HawMorFords
I found the information required and I enjoyed learning about Jack. I managed to get something that looked like coords, so I set off for the waypoint. I took the long way round, but enjoyed the walk. Once at the waypoint, I quickly spotted what I needed and was on my way again. Again, I enjoyed the walk. I love to walk in this type of weather and today was glorious. At GZ, I qickly located the cache, despite my notoriously unreliable phone telling me that it was elsewhere. I signed the log and started the walk back to the car
Well what a mission this turned out to be, After my previous visit spending about an hour getting to the 2nd last waypoint only to lose iphone battery I returned today to where I had recorded the final cache location. Parked in a easy access spot and a short hike to the GZ.
Spent the next 30 mins frustrated as could not locate cache. Refusing to go home empty handed after spending all this time made my way back again to the previous waypoint to double check the offset co-ords. Sure enough I had made a slight error about 20m off. So again back to the GZ and with correct offset finally found cache after a short hunt. Total time spent on this cache was about 2 hours.

Found WP1 and WP2 easily enough and set off for final. Started off down the track then got confused as couldnt see a direct path to GZ through some fenced off thick scrub. Worried I worked out the numbers wrong I went back and re calculated and confirmed I was right. Iphone battery almost dead at this point so decided to get this another time, probably from a different direction.
