Sorry to see this go as we did it in 2006 and follow events here. So what is the Co-ord on the Archived Note a proposed new location perhaps?
As conditions have changed in the cache area, I will look at relocating this cache.
nice walk in along the sand/beach
lots of little blue crabs scurried away
had to be quick with the camera

Soldier crabs everywhere. We approached this one from the beach, so we didn't have to walk past the no entry sign. Cache quickly located and log signed. TFTH
number eighteen for the day with bubba_89,barbbowman and fasted59.
nice easy find.

Had to trespass onto a rehabilitation area. Cache is still there but area is not well maintained.
Longer walk than we expected but spectacular views of birds including black swans. Had to detour a little because of regeneration but trusted GPS for good find.
There is no need to walk through any long grass to find this cache, follow the well used paths.
GPS died but carried on looking at the few trees that were there and Bingo we got it!

TFTC - here on a holiday with the family. I remember walking around this lagoon when I was a kid. We used to stay at Bongaree & I walked around to Woorim early one morning. The log is in good condition, thanks for bringing me back here.

Wasn't too sure about following the path because of the sign so walked "around" instead, didn't get my feet too wet and it was a quick find. TFTC.
Went to check out the situation referred to in an earlier post. I note the pictured sign is not placed by the worn path, used by bird watchers and general public, but seems to be indicating the immediate area surrounding Buckley's Hole. I leave that judgement up to cachers to make, knowing how they are environmentally conscious.
got within 100 m of cache and noticed NO ENTRY SIGNAGE ...

Kept our feet dry because we found the path. YAY I like this cache the area is so beautiful and peaceful that we had our lunch here too.
Enjoyed the wander down the path to this cache. Had lunch in the park overlooking the waterhole. Very quite and peaceful listening to the birds and watching two swans. Thanks for bringing us to this great spot.
Found quickly but the hot sand (+thongs) stopped a few of the search party, geograndad helped sucessfully locate cache. TFTC. TNLN.
TFTC. Had to walk through the mud to get to it as totally missed the little path but thats okay cause we still found it.
Pack the insect repellant and check the hiding spot for creepy crawlies before you reach for the find!
Out with Brother Colin for a big last day of 2011 caching planned on Bribie Island. Seventh cache of the day and we aren't on Bribie yet
12th cache of the day, but the first actually on the Island. [^]
Nice little wander down the beach, cache to find, log to sign. Were enjoying the beach walk so much we totally missed the path back to the car - had to double back. It was a lovely day.
Cheers geonanna. Lovely spot for a cache.
P.S. put a ziplock bag on the log to help it weather the weather.

A short walk into what would be a most interesting bird habitat.
Located the cache easily enough. SL TNLN.

Found it on our 3rd track followed, lol. Couldn't put anything in as the conatainer is so small. Didn't take anything either. Signed the log. Great spot. Had a great time.
First day on Bribie and a very wet one at that. During a break in the weather it was off to seek out this guy.
The ageing Bushfire went this way no it's not there back the other and then discovered it was neither but eventually found my way to the cache site.
Great area that I would not have known about except for the cache.
Thanks geoanna for placing this cache.

Found with the Dazman101 crew. G.Z. was located after a stroll then Mitch had his hands on it. Signed and replaced.
Glad this was not Buckley's chance of finding. Found with GoldieLover & Stairman1.
This one was hard to find. Ant had built a nest around the cache. GPS running low TFTC.
This was only one of four we found today. Great to see dragonflies and butterflies around again after such hot weather.
Superb lookout which without caching would have gone unnoticed.
We were almost put off by the "No Access" signs but just ignored them.
A very high tide gaveus wet feet.
On a visit from NZ, we left drought and found rain.
It rained and rained and rained
The average fall was well maintained
And when the tracks were simply bogs
It stared raining cats and dogs.
After a drought of half an hour
We had a most refreshing shower
And then most curious thing of all
A gentle rain began to fall.
Next day but one was fairly dry
Save for a deluge from the sky
Which wetted the party to the skin
And then at last the rain set in.

SL TFTC lovely walk met a few big crabs along the way. The ants nest around the cache is troublesome suggest an extraction tool may be required by follow cachers.
Ants have made a lovely home on top of the cache, Not an easy eviction, had to get the big stick out. Found with Team DFL who issued the first notice without success.
Always thought that Buckley's was the Salt water lagoon not the fresh water lake. What about the Variegated Wren and the Red Backed Wren seen on the track to the cache. Good one Geonanna TFTC
Thought that I had 2 chances of finding this - Buckley's and none!!!! However it did not prove to be difficult if one is determined to overcome the mozzies. Never knew of this bird roost before. Thanks, geonanna.
Enjoyed the walk and the wildlife, especially the hundreds of tiny crabs along the shoreline. One of the many beautiful areas on Bribie. TNLN, TFTC.
What a well attended bird sanctuary. Lots of lovely birds to look at whilst looking for the cache. TNLN and TFTC
Found with Goodlookerz and Non-geo-dad. A little local knowledge made access easy. TFTC geonanna. (our paths cross again...)
ouch ouch! wear shoes on hot day! Sand was very hot, well for our tassie feet anyways! nice walk though, TFTC
We found this one today on a tour of Bribie. Would of been a much easier walk without the geotoddler in the pram, but we made it. Great spot. TFTC geonanna

Thanks geonanna

Have walked this beach a few times with the geokiddies while they were on school camp at Bribie, and never knew there was a cache here! Thousands of blue soldier crabs about today. Had to step carefully to give them time to dig in as I made my way across their zone to the beach to make my way up to Bill's Aquarium. TFTC geonanna.
A lovely walk with Alkzura and the geobaby. GPS had us slightly off for a minute but it was in the obvious spot so we grabbed it pretty quickly. TFTC
Decided not to try to walk out to this one until the weather is clear. But the view over the 'hole was lovely. I checked out the bird hide and it's really good. Last saw one like that on the Cley marshes in Norfolk UK in 2008. It would be lovely to come here to paint, if I had time.
There was a cool breeze blowing off the water as we made our way around the hole. Spotted the bird hide as we walked along. Not much bird life around today.
