Logs
As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
A few weeks ago when we were in Dwellingup for the weekend I was planning to come and find this one, and it was one I was really looking forward to because it was such an old cache. But, I read the previous logs and saw that it seemed to be missing, so we didn't attempt it.
Well today we were here again, and although I had read all the previous logs, I decided to stop and have a look anyway.
I immediately spotted the obvious place where it seemed the cache would have been hidden, in the bottom of the stump, with a few rocks placed over the top of it, but this spot was empty. I checked along the rest of the fallen tree, and under all the bark which has fallen off the tree, from what appears to be a recent(ish) fire.
Unless this one has been moved to a different spot, it appears to be missing.

A Saturday caching run in the Serpentine/Pinjarrahills/Karnup area with the GeoDaughter and BF in tow, young eyes are always useful.
We thought we might pick up this easily on the way back, sadly we looked everywhere. The most likey spot had some rocks that could have been used to hide a cache, but no cache was around.
We searched an area of about 15 meteres to no avail. Reading the description and the previous logs, it looks as it maybe AWOL.

Look for it for few minutes, could not find it and then heavy rain started - gave up.
our second for the day. Another easy find. So close to the road, closest one we've seen to date. Good to be following Chebree and seeing how much they were enjoying geocaching.

Finally progressing with the Wombat series though I don't see us getting to Wombat 6 too easily. Found the Marrinup POW camp well worth exploring while in the area. Thanks for bringing us here Team Wombat. Took x 2, left x 2. SL.
Easter weekend but no muggles only us mad enough to dodge the showers.
Geomum and dad sat in the car and sent the geo kids for this one. Easy find SL TNLN

Parked a fair distance from this one and treked through the bush, as its a nasty bit of road when you have Geo kids with you. Kids found this one quickly after dad put the correct way point in (taped the screen and put us 50mtrs out LOL ). Cheers for the hunt.

An easy find in the obvious spot. Glad it was quick cause the marchies were out in force!
a nice quick and easy find ... left car and dino, took ball and transformer. TFTH SL
Found it while out and about with Mackerals. A quick and easy find, before sitting in the car eating lunch to avoid the flies. We saw a signed track to a dam nearby as we were about to do a u-turn and decided to go check it out. TNLN, Thanks for bringing us to the area.
We came to find this cache after doing GC1KQ53 just down Scarp Rd a bit. Another place we would have missed if not caching, also we came across the sign for Oakley Dam, so went and had a look and have dropped off a cache and will publish it soon. Picked up the Walk T/B and dropped off our Wandering Wombat T/B (had to with the name like that!) to start travelling.
Thanks again for bringing us out to enjoy the outdoors.

Went into Scarp Road from wrong end so had a long rough car ride, but good fun. First geocache for our friends Davann they enjoyed it, he found it. lots of gorgeous wild flowers.
Interesting drive in got a bit lost but was good site for 1st timers like us. Thanks to pinjies who helped us
Nice location and a easy find. We parked at the top of the hill and basically we had the cache in hand within a minute. TNSL and left balloon, a coin and our calling card. TFTH & TFTC
We got slightly lost on the way to this cache after taking a wrong turn. Fortunately some local mountain bike riders were able to sort us out and we were soon in the right place. This is a great drive-by.
Thank you for placing the cache and getting us to a new location.

Hmm - odd cache listing. Why is this 'Unkown' size? And why is there information in the hint, that should be in the listing instead? Biked past doing the Munda Biddi track. TNLN, TFTC.
Good one. Visited the Oakey Dam nearby. This needs a cache, but not quite equipped for a cache placement.

WanderingAus wandered by on my first caching expedition with my new Magellan Explorist 500 gps. I had replaced my broken Explorist 500 with a new Magellan Triton 400 thanks to my insurance company, but I found it not suited to geocaching as some of the key features were "not yet implemented. I returned the Triton and got a full refund, and bought a new Explorist 500 (off eBay) instead. As they say, "Better the Devil you know", and I really enjoyed setting up the Explorist, and it gave me a very easy GAFF 1 find.
My find No 1109, LCC, TNLNSL, dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing it back again.

I thought we had logged this one. Oops.
Found on our way home from camping in Dwellingup.
Plenty of motor cross traffic around, this area seems to be the local hangout. They must have wondered what we were doing there. Not to hard to find the difficulty was being discrete.

Just received an email from Silent 1 to say that this cache was caught in the fires recently in the Pinjarra area, pleased to see there were no TB in the cache at the time.
So this cache is now archived for now, may replace it at a later date.

Almost a DNF - with YT looking everywhere except where the GPS indicated GZ was. The views here are great - we've been here before for another cache (now archived), so thanks for bringing us back . T: two small toys, L: 2 keyrings, SL. Thanks to Team Wombat for the cache.

This one proved to be somewhat of a challenge, GPS had a mind of it's own. Tried aproaching from every angle and eventually did some serious bush bashing and ended up battered and bruised. After conceding defeat at 13.25 and decided to call it a day, literally fell over the great little hiding spot. All would not have been lost as the view had a certain kind of beauty even though it is a black mark on the landscape. Really enjoyed this challenge Team wombat - thanks for the cache.

We were on our way to an overnight camping trip in dwellingup and of course we couldnt resist the chance to find a few caches on our way there. We walked in from the opposite side of the dam and needed to do some serious bush navigation in the process. Once we were in the area it was time for a sit down and think. We read all the other finders logs and decided that the small pile of stones was good hint that had been mentioned. We sat and looked....and looked and looked and then it just seemed to be there in a pretty logical place (although not in/under or on the large rocks nearby.) Nice views and relatively secluded for a quiet sit down. IN: Scissors OUT: Bouncy ball.
Bibraboy enlisted my help on this one & while looking up at him satanding on a rock I almost trod on it. Great spot. TNLN TFC
Wasnt prepared to go back for attempt number 3, so I enlisted Goosey for a bit of help. With Belken's hint in hand we immediately went the wrong way - then walked around the west side of the cache for a serious assult.
Nimble on feet, I headed to the granite rock where my GPSr had taken me twice before, shouting down to Goosey "its supposed to around her somewhere". As he stood some 10m away below, checking Belkin's hints, he noticed a strange pile of rocks near his foot....it was the cache!
I would never have found this as my GPSr had me looking both times a long way from here.
We took a reading at the spot and compared it with the co-ords listed on the printed page back in the car and they were spot on!
Must have been a blokey look x 2 previously!

A mate of mine (jangary) checked this one out for me and it is still in it's original place, so the co-ords are correct.
Hope you are able to find it on your next try.
Hope you are able to find it on your next try.
I ve been here twice now and I just cant get a fix on this cache. GZ puts me on the middle of a granite rock, SW of the dam wall. I have looked all around the rock without success. Both times I have worn shorts and my poor ol legs have copped a bit of scratching.
I know the co-ords have to be right as they are downloaded straight from the site to GPSr (ie no manual input)...and on two separate occasions. Which sort of brings me to the second point - the description of the cache says dont attempt if muggles are present.....somehow I wouldnt expect too many muggles in this location??? Its a long way and out of view from any "tourist" activity.
A spoiler pic or a clue would be really really helpful as I will be back next weekend.

Wandered over from “Oakley Doakley†and enjoyed the short journey to this one. The weir was full to capacity and flowing over in a loud torrent. Views from GZ were spectacular, just a shame it was industry and not scenery though [^]. The trail to the cache passed by the very pungent remains of a ‘Roo, I think? I didn’t stop to examine it too closely . Found the cache easily and left a TFTC card. Nice one, Wombats. Cheers.
Headed off to the wrong side of the dam, realised our error and once on the right track found the cache no problems. Wonderful view - would be great at night - from a location which appears to be a well-kept secret!
In the company of Everlasting, revisited the dam and saw a few bikers swam in the dam in the hot weather to cool them. It was very tempting to have a quick dip, however we have to move on. It was great and awesome view on the granite cliff where you can sit down and enjoy a glass of wine for sundowner. No swaps. Cache is in a good condition. Thanks for the hunt and great view, Team wombat.
As we had been caching all day, was getting rather tired and hungry at this point so I enjoyed the view and let the Bibra Boy's traipse through the bush. Of course my natural hunting instinct took the better of me and before I knew it I was in there too...along with those damn March flies! Only managed a splinter in the palm of my hand after it all. However NO cache. We had to get to Pingelly for an appt with the Observatory oh and the roadhouse to feed our hungry tummies.
Maybe next time!
Cheers

While having a Sundowner at Oakley Dam we took the Geo-Granddaughters for a Treasure hunt They were very excited and after much deliberation and mindchanging took out the Radio and a Koala. We left a lightup necklace and a set of nailclippers. Also took Roo for a bit of a wander before sending him on his way again.
We're a bit hurt that Team Wombat hasn't visited our cache near here yet but maybe on your next maintenance run?
Thanks for the cache Team Wombat the girls and I had a lot of fun.

Already knew the area from doing the other cache nearby some time ago so had no trouble finding this one.
Signed the log, did no swaps but took one of the magnets.
Once I got back to the car I noticed that it was the FTF magnet so if the FTF want to swap theirs with mine they are welcome.
