May have been negative influenced by all the other DNFs but had a pretty good search and didn't find it. Will put on watchlist and repeat this lovely walk and give it another go if confirmed still there.
Karnuku Jnr wanted to introduce her friend to geocaching so we set out on the trail around the crater. Looked in all the usual places 'tis type of location has hides but no joy. DNF.
The hint meant nothing, lots of foliage has been cleared around here, even looked under but found nothing so gave up.
Searched for ages but nothing. There's been a lot of foliage cleared recently so maybe the cache has been found by a muggle and removed.
Found cache lying exposed, replaced it according to one of the hint items (couldn't see the other). Great walk with geodog, tftc
A quick and easy grab today, I have walked past this one several times, but decided to leave it as I often come for a walk around the crater while my partner is running it and caching gives me something to do so I have been clearing out the caches bit by bit. Today though he has an injured knee and he cannot run, so this place seemed good for a nice easy stroll. It was in the first place I looked, signed everything and replaced. Log was a little damp, I dried it out a little, but it was a little too cold today. TFTC #571
Found this while visiting Tiff Crater for the first time. Interesting geological feature that I've never seen before. I went to the wrong side first, but after reading some previous logs (and ignoring the hint), it was an immediate find. Note: the hint does not apply and needs updating. Thanks
Thank you very much to the creator of this geocache, me and my stuffy Ruby had a blast finding your cache. It was a great and enjoyable cache .
Found it, was partially out in the open.
Not sure if that one was in its original spot.

After a great game of rugby we had to get out for a walk. Go the Ab's!. Good hide.

Nice spot quite hard to find, I just looked on the other side of it and it was about 2cm next to me and then I found it 10 mins later!

No luck here today. Got muggled by the adjoining resident, who said I was going on to mhis property, what was I doing with a GPS? There was another woman with a GPS also going on nto his property recently. He showed me the boundary where he said that Forest and Bird had marked out and were going to clear.
Kiwivet went one side, I went the other and put my hands on it straight away. The hint was a good one, thanks for that. Dropped a tb.
Our first caching adventure! After realising how to access the hint we were away!
Found out in the open on my walk around Tuff. I hid it where I found it, but I'm not sure if that's the right spot as it doesn't seem to apply to the hint. Took a photo just in case CO can't find it.
Found out in the open and rehid it. I'm sure I didn't hide it in the correct spot, so CO should probably check.
I don't understand why the GPS on my phone counts down to 100 or so meters, then throws my position off course like I'm standing somewhere else. This is my third geocache attempt. Does the same thing every time. 4 hrs later and my kids are exhausted Does this not work on my phone? So disappointing...
Last day in New Zealand after spending 3 months in Auckland. I manage to have a free afternoon for a few more walks and to discover the north suburbs of the city. I am targetting a few caches missing in my month calendar and this is defining my day trip.
The view is often awesome and the city really nice with trees and parks everywhere. My only issue this afternoon is the heavy traffic and i spend a lot of time in the car...
All in all it was a great afternoon with again some good discoveries in this beautifull country.
Thanks a lot for this cache.
All is in good condition.

On a family holiday in the area visiting family. This trip is a holiday with caches, not a caching holiday.
Today we had tired cachelets and a sedate drive to Devonport for a bakery trip and a play was in order. We had a sleeping cachelet in the back of the car and needed to stretch out the sleep so we grabbed a few trads in the area. My two other cachelets found this one before I even arrived to GZ, I've trained them well Grabbed TB.
Thanks for the cache.

Loved the hiding spot... took me a moment too long to get the hint though! Left a TB
Found myself with a bit of time and came to get this cache while in the neighbourhood, unfortunately had a call that stopped me short here and couldn't get the rest around the walkway - an adventure for another day. Thanks for the cache Zork V! Found it a bit in the 'open' so placed back slightly more hidden.
I passed and chatted to a couple of locals and helped them find and injured cat. Fairly easy cache to find once I found what tree it was. gps spot on which always makes for a good day. TFTC
I spent some time looking in the wrong places, but then settled down and spotted the cache. TFTC.
Lovely morning walk around part of Tuff Crater. Thanks for bringing us here. We drive past most days but have never visited. Quick easy find. TFTC
Would have been easy if I hadn't overthought it. It's exactly where I originally expected it to be before getting sidetracked by the hint (which ended up making sense).
Tried this one awhile ago. It was out in the open and tree planting people were about. Rehid where we thought it might be.
Not sure initially about the hint but then it became clear as we were walking along.
TYFC . Lovely weather .Lovely walk. Found with Nanno.. Well they actually found it . I sulked .lol
Found originally as part of rebel98 team, now created own account, re-logging as rustynz
Continue the walk around the crater, luckily I have the umbrella, now the sun has come out its getting hot! Another sneaky hide, thanks again for the cache.

Hmm not many places to hide, lots of search trails, whats the clue again? Whats this, yep its the cache. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here. Because of the unpredictable weather I am undisturbed in my find.
We definitely thought we'd found the hint - but couldn't find the cache. We'll try again another day
Woohoo. Yep good clue. I also got off track but then back to my first place to for a better look
Our second and last cache on the Tuff Crater, walked from one to the other and back again. Lovely path. TFTC
The hint threw me off at first, but it all makes sense now. The cache is all good and dry. Cheers for the cache.
Think I've been past this one a few times, and today was finally the day to find this one. Had to overshot the cache as two cycling muggles were headed in the opposite direction as I approached but then I doubled back to start searching. Misled myself with the hint a little before rethinking and then quickly making the find. Thanks!
We enjoyed a short stroll around Tuff's crater, and thus quickly made this find. It was a great day for caching today, not too hot and the drizzly rain was certainly refreshing! Thanks for taking us here.
This was the last cache befor we choose to leave Auckland. Hint was very useful.
Logged as RAD together with renelm and aedk.

After having found a few caches nearby, we decided to take this one as well. If you follow the hint, it really isn't that hard
On the way to the cache, a black/white cat showed und and wanted us to talk to it
Found at 14:12 - #4311 - together with aedk and Difool - logged as RAD to save space and time

Was exactly where I expected it to be (and where I first looked last time). Thanks for the replacement cache.
Yay ! Thank you Zork for replacing it ! Was nice quick find just where I expected !
Hmmmmmm . Bit too tough for us today .....we'll be back when someone else finds it !
As I approached GZ I thought "it's got to be under the end of the boardwalk", but it wasn't. It wasn't about, fullstop. The hint seemed to suggest it as well. Even checked out both ends of the other boardwalk. No cache . Either I'm on the wrong track, or the cache is gone.
Out for a walk around Tuff Crater tonight. My GPS seemed to be about 6m out and this one wasn't found until my wife said "I bet I know where it is" and went straight to it! Grabbed a trackable out and dropped on off. TFTC and a very nice walk.
Good fun cache. New plastic bag and new pencil added as cache was a bit damp. TFTC
Decided to have half a day off work to go caching. Took a bit longer than it should have but got there in the end TFTC
out for a family walk this morning with Pracatan, was our first find of the day, tftc
A quick easy find with Jaronb (once gps sorted itself!). Contents a bit water logged. TFTC.
