Logs
For some time now we have been concerned about the location of this hide and have reluctantly decided to close it down. We are sure the initial owners, our friends Team Tandoori, will understand.
Thank you to all previous finders it has always been a pleasure receiving your logs..

We searched for this for ages, growing more frustrated as we went along. We pulled poked and twisted everything in sight. Turned over stones and bricks, inspected bushes. Each of us (there were 4 present) had our hand on the cache container at least once, I personally about 3 times. Mr Monch theorised about why the object was what we were looking for but was unable to prove it. Then, when we were just about dying from hunger, and about to give up and go to lunch, Mr Squalid found it. Unbelievable. He of course loved it, I still haven't quite recovered! Thanks for another brilliant cache.
Looks like we might have been the last to find this one before it was archived - no idea why, as it was still there. Excellent cache in a great location - I would've happily spent the day here lazing around in the rare sunshine.
Thanks Romax

Back again from being here in April. This time, the container needed persuasion, considerable. Very nice hide, TFTC.
A fabulous hide And what massive, tremendous granite blocks! Beautiful It's stunning to think that this sort of thing was made so perfectly so long ago.
Well... what a hide, Loved it!
Was a matter of "what, wait, huh?"
Very well done!

We weren't going to do this one but somehow we ended up way of coarse. Nice cache had us puzzled for a while, I had tried the location but PacketStorm4 was the one who succeed in finding it. TFTC
This was my second visit to this spot, first time i came with 379jonti379 and had a hard time finding this after a clue from Romax Jonti was back there on his bike logging his find I had taken a while to get back here but here I am and yes found this with Hanseeka husband. signed log. Loved the gold field it's on and found a beautiful crystal! Thanks Romax

At the end of our regular Sunday Caching trips it was time once again to attempt this elusive hide.
Once again we stood amoungst the granite blocks looking like lost tourists. This time though something stood out that we had seen before but not inspected thoroughly. EURUKA we had the log scroll in hand and tears of joy started to flow as we had finally found it after many trips and a lot of swearing.
Thank you and well done on this hide (my favorite)

Been to this one 5 times, took some backup support, Trecker 63 with me this time. Finally found it after about 20 mins of searching. Fantastic cache, really has us stumped for sometime! Thanks Romax, keep up the good work.
Finally we had tried this in the past with no success. After finding another hide on weekend with similr hide type senior got another find

I certainly agree this was a tricky hide. After spending a considerable time searching then reading previous logs I was nearly ready to give up and set the GPSr for the next cache. Though decided to spend some more time racking my brain, trying to think where/what the cache could be. Sure enough, there it was just as I was about to give up; yeah yeah starring me in the face the whole time. The cache was in hand at 14:53. I also enjoyed this pleasant little spot. Thanks Team Tandoori & Romax.

AliCopter and hubby found this one.
Hubby had a RDO so it was nice to do a few together.
Nifty little hide.
When my hubby saw the name he went hmmm as we both know your hides are so clever. Looked around and found it within 5 mins. Still a great hide and well done to the effort put into your hides.

One of out company had found it before and was afraid he couldn't see it, so he described the hide - at which time Chewin' found he was almost standing on it! So I guess you could say I didn't really find it
Nice hide though.
Thanks, Robmc.

Another classic Romax hide. Couldn't be better! We had the advantage of a previous finder so we only had to pull out half our hair, in my case perhaps, the last half.
Must have been a decent sized battery by the size of the footings.

Attempted this one today on our afternoon hunting with the crazy creels with a couple finds under our belt were hoping for another to no avail. We hunted high and low and using previous logs looked for an obvious out of place thing but still left us stumped but we will be back
Accidently disturbed a heap of huge kangaroos and caused a mini stempede. Went carefully after that then as perhaps a form of revenge a huge kangaroo blocked our exit and refused to move so we had to go on a longer detour back to the car. Good find though. interesting location.
even though we never actually "found" the cache As such, because we hide it , Im sure it will be fine to log as a find now Romax has adopted it !

11.40am.well this sounds good Team Tandoori and Romax getting together a bonus for me on my quality cache hunt around bendigo being escorted by Phetlern. Peter gave me quite a story about gold mining around bendigo so my australian visit is also like being back at school, you never stop learning with geocaching.we had a good look round then down to the biz of cache finding that given where it is took a surpringly short time before i could do the retreive, totally magic.thanks once again for another quality cache,sltn.patandjeff=bones1.

I think we have been to this location on 4 occasions and finally we have located this cache. it was about 10 metres from posted coords on our GPSr, and upon locating the cache, I heard "but I have already looked there" from the other half.

Even with the fairly explicit instructiuons in the description, and using the hint, we just couldnt place our hands on the cache. After a long, extensive search, we gave up.

After a DNF earlier in the day, armed with more info from Romax we headed out again after dinner. The info we'd been given made it pretty clear where the cache was, and this time we found it quite quickly.
It was great to visit another site showing Bendigo's history, as well as finding such an excellently camo'd cache, thanks.

This was another cache that has been bugging me for a long time! I've visited the site two or three times in the past with no luck. Now, armed with more experience, it was time to give it another crack.
A search of the immediate area around my GPS revealed no obvious hides, and I cranked up the smartphone to check out a few previous logs. After flicking through a few I had an 'aha!' moment, and the cache was soon in hand. Curiously enough I hadn't spotted this particular object during previous searches. I can only echo the comments of the previous finders of this one; the hide is extremely authentic.
I'll pop in in a day or two and sign the log, as a search of my car revealed no writing implements on this occasion! Thanks Team Tandoori for a challenging and memorable cache!

At last!!!! This has been our nemesis. Thanks for the wee bit of advice from Team Morris we were finally able to tick this off. A magic hide. During our many visits to this site we have seen the stone wall to the east of the ruins gradually start to deteriorate as hopeful Geocachers search in vain. As the log suggests, you do not need to disturb the ruins.

Well this one had us scratching our heads. Having got to GZ and doing the usual quck look around the area we concentrated our search in a couple of areas before just sitting back to think where we would hide it (which as it turned out was of no use at all). Having had a couple of DNFs already we really did not want to let this one go so a very methodical search of ALL the items was in the area was conducted but still nothing. In desperation we decided to go for a "phone a friend" and this directed us to an item we had looked at a number of times already but the friend assured us that we were looking at the cache container. It took some time to work out the correct way to open it !! (and the loss of skin on my knuckles too [B)]). I think this will show us the type of hide that Bendigo has to offer us on future caching trips.

Apologies for a late log on this one. We were over in Bendigo to catch up with some friends and their little bloke who was turning one. We had about 30 minutes up our sleeve so thought that we would give this devil of a cache another go. This was our third attempt at this spot and the cache was remaining very coy about showing itself! Di's Uncle Bob has the philosophy that if you love something then set it free, if it comes back well and good, if it doesn't hunt it down with a big rock. We used this attitude with the cache and eventually it showed itself, although a blubbering mess! It would appear that the last 6 months that it has spent on its own, neglected and feeling unloved, caused it to withdraw in to itself and shy from social activity. I hope the next finders are able to encourage it from it's hiding spot much easier now . I would suggest some words of advice from the great Cobra Kai - Strike first, strike hard, show no mercy.
Then again, a cache is bit like a marriage really. I love being married. It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life. However, this cache can't annoy us anymore .
Thanks to Team Tandoori for a tantalising cache. Thanks also to Romax for providing the inspiration and motivation to soldier on with this devil. Cheers.

This little hide is becoming the 'bain-marie' of our life! This is the second attempt at this clever little hide. The first was earlier in the year when I cam over to Bendigo with mu cousin when D was at work. At that time we gave the area a pretty good look over but were not successful. Today we had a quick look around and were then muggled by a gent from Heritage Victoria who was collecting data and pictures of these types of area. Sounds like a great job. We will be back to try again soon. Cheers.

Found on the way to the Get Together. Had previously searched with Farmers5 for at least 40 minutes with no success, mostly because the description says that it would not be necessary to disturb the relics. I beg to differ! Found after a reasonable search this am after being put right on the locatioin.
Found on my way home from the Central Victorian Get together.
My second visit.
I had a 30 minute search about 6 weeks ago after Romax told me it was going to be a tricky one.
Had no idea where it was then, but after a talking to Alansee and Fozzy778 today, they confirmed I was in the right place, and I just had to have a more thorough search. I was still confused.
This time, still not knowing exactly what I was looking for, I found it in a spot that I know I had touched last visit, but this time tried a different approach.
A cache that I will remember for some time.
Thanks to the Team Tandoori. Very Sneaky.

Didn't disturb, didn't see, didn't find. Think I know what I was looking for but it obviously didn't know I was looking for it.

This one actually took me three visits across six months to find(!) - always arriving here too late in the evening for a good search.
On my second visit back in July it looked as if another gold rush had broken out - rocks levered out of the ground, tree roots exposed, bark peeled off trees...
Fortunately nature and a couple of heavy rain storms have restored the area somewhat.
Found the cache this time without too much difficulty (nice hide), although it's stature has shrunk somewhat from my memory of its position on my original visit.
Thanks Team Tandoori.

We found what we thought was the cache hidey hole very quickly, but were then doubtful as we were not able to access the cache itself, due to either someone returning the cache in an over zealous manner, or the cache container perhaps being altered by weather over time, thus causing the hidey hole to seem as though it were not the correct spot. A call to Romax, much discussion re the layout of GZ, and then back to our first choice. Phone & GPS down, Both hands, and some (much more than expected) muscle, and the cache became ours. On returning the cache we ensured its future removal (at least for a time) should be fairly easy.

Seventeenth cache of twenty nine for the day, found at 18:25 in the company of Dak Emu. We both had GZ at a brick pile, Dak began to turn over bricks but I disregarded them and concentrated on the near by trees. After sometime Dak gave GeoJo a call for a hint and after about five minutes of searching I came up with the cache.
I took a reading at GZ and have attached it to my log.

Fourteenth of twenty finds in company with acts2youthgroup on our Back to Bendigo Again day. This one stymied us for some time. I can't give too many details here, but suffice to say that we spent a considerable time looking where both of our GPSRs pointed us, which turned out to be about 9m from where we finally found the cache. I have attached some alternative coordinates to this log. Not that I'm accusing the coords of being inaccurate, but if future finders are having problems, at least they will have an alternative place to look.
We were unsuccessful in our search, so we placed a call to The Beatles guru, GeoJo. She didn't tell us where it was, but she did give us a big hint. We found it a few minutes later at 1825. Another triumph for Bendigo geocaching! [^]
Team Rubik said that this was the best of this style of hide they had seen; I can't help but agree. This one is brilliant! No exchange made. Thanks for bringing me to this area; it is yet another place I wouldn't have visited (or known about) it it weren't for geocaching. [^] Thanks to Team Tandoori for another high-quality cache.

We found a car park and wandered into the area of gz and found the cache in the second place we looked, unfortunately we didn't look hard enough the first time and it was over half an hour later before we rechecked it just before we were about to log a DNF. It's amazing what can happen with a little more effort
Thanks Team Tandoori for another well hidden cache

Found at 11.15am GAFF5. We were searching in the wrong area for a long while and then Romax's hint of the cache "being in plain sight" really put us off the scent. Luckily GeoJo had a brilliant idea, which quickly relieved our confusion. The cache was found in a very well hidden location. Thanks Team Tandoori
The best of this style of hide I have seen. A much more authentic look than others around, and a great site in which to hide one too.

Found 11:15, with the Melbourne Marauders. Very tricky
TNLN, thanks Team Tandoori.

We were wondering why anyone would hide a micro in this area when we arrived - certainly a large area to search! With Romax reminding us of the cache description that the cache was hidden in clear view, I was inspired to check out a suspicious looking area and soon had the cache in hand. Fantastic container and camouflage!
Found by Mary & David at 1115 in company with GeoJo, pprass, Biggles Bear, Pyrenees Kid and Mikita with Romax looking on. Another great area, and a great cache to go with it. TNLN. Our thanks again to Team Tandoori.
Found this one at 10:00, our seventh find of Ians Birthday Bash Cache Weekend.
We had a quick look for this one yesterday, but it was getting late & dark, so we came back for another look.
Well what a cunning cache this was - when we actually found it. Maybe we would have found it earlier if it wasn't so difficult to open. (We left it just a little easier).
To future seekers - don't give up, it IS there.
TNSL - Thanks Tandoori
