To the geocaching community

With an ongoing family crisis I'm unable to get to this.

Given its never received a favourite point it's obviously not worth keeping

The cache was taken out in the last bush fire

This maybe a victim of recent burn offs

Sorry, I'm not physically able to get out and check/repair/replace at this stage

More like fried toast - this cache is no more, it was burnt out in a recent controlled burn/bushfire.

Had a lovely walk into this cache.
I had the place to myself. Not one muggle just how I like it. [^]
The birds in the area were calling out and flitting through the trees oblivious to someone walking through their home.
They were chasing each other and looking for food.
Found the cache as described and added my name to the list and placed back well hidden as I found it.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks wingaap Cool All good with this cache

Bit of a step up to get this one, but once up there, it was an easy find. Cache was in excellent condition - nice camo job too! Smile TFTC wingaap - always good to find one of yours out here Smile

We had just found "I'll be stumped" and decided to continue bush bashing across till we reach the trail on the other side. Along the way we rock hopped again across a creek and wished we brought along a machete. Eventually we found a trail - Yay! Walked along till we got to GZ and Matt scrambled up to look around. Being short, I was trying to decide how to scramble up to join him when he called out that he found the cache. So I quickly scrambled up (lucky there's no walkers along the trail) and joined Matt at the cache Smile. All is good with this cache Smile. Found with Matt_eth Smile. TFTH wingaap Smile.

Pretty hot today. Glad its only September and not February! Nearly didnt continue on for this one, but I didnt feel like hiking up the hill again soon.

Nice easy find. TFTc Wingaap. All in good order here.

Out and about with T-Tech.

This cache has been on my radar for a while as it's one of my close-to-home-and-not-yet-found caches. We were walking through this area and decided to add it to the list. A pleasant stroll, and an easy find. T-Tech's favourite container type Smile Took the orange Geocaching wrist band and left a metal bangle. TFTC, wingaap.

Out and about with my geospouse IolantheK. Just found one cache in the vicinity and decided to go on a bit further to find this one as well. Located without any trouble and signed the log.

Cache is dry and in good condition.

thanks for the cache wingaap [^].

Uphill almost all the way to this one and no we didn't mind. Our 4th find on a day of bush walk caches and a beautiful day to walk. The area was quiet deserted today except for a couple of mountain bikers. Only the brave 1/2 of Modelbear left the trail to track this one down. Soon the cache was in hand and the log signed. The walk back to the car was certainly quicker. TFTC and getting us out walking on such a beautiful day.

Took the long walk from previous cache but lovely day and pleasant walk with quick find at the end. He Wingaap)loves the hill climbs and the bush cover doesn't he????

Ooops, not there - really should look at my compass occasionally. Over there!

Quick find whilst casually passing by here in the middle of nowhere. Neat.

Cheers wingaap and TFTC.

A nice quick one. So hot today evben the mountain bikers seem to be conspicuous in their absence. That said, one rode past while I was signing the log but he was oblivious =)

TNLNSL. Good dry condition.
Thanks

Coming to the end of a long walk today, this one turned up without difficulty.
Really enjoyed stomping around the area Smile thanks Wingy!
I took the TB with me.

16-Dec-11
I was enjoying a pleasant stroll around the area and this one was on the route back to my car. I remember this one when it was published. I think it may have been the first one in the area.

Found the cache easily. The GPS was reading 1m.

All dry inside and I dropped off a Gecko TB. A fitting cache for it.

Thanks Wingaap.

Find #56. Found 4/9/11 @1605.

So we came back, heartened by wingaap's confirmation that we are indeed cache-blind. Well, this cache did not want to yield easily to us. The geodogs even discovered a reptilian guard nearby. However, once we changed our outlook slightly everything became clear.

TNLN/SL.

Note to self.....don't rush out and check caches after a dnf or two. I visited the area today and found the cache exactly as placed.

I checked the coords averaging for 1000+ samples with accuracy reported as being 4.3m

Coords remain as published

As I had a new container, larger than the original I replaced the cache.

As set ready to be found.

I retrieved the TB

A DNF for us today. I think we had the right "burnt out" object but it refused to yield a cache.

Thanks for bringing us here wingaap and showing us some more of the fire trails in the area. Happy to return another day if we're just being blind Smile

To the next Geocacher to visit this cache:

The last cachers placed a LovOrcas TB in this cache in April and no one has visited the cache since and the TB is still there.

Would the next cacher to visit this cache please take this trackable and place it somewhere else safe soon.

It's been here such a long time and needs to move to another cache.

Thanks,
Kay and Bob, Aussie Liahona

Found after a quick hunt while on a hike around the hills. Big Grin If we were more organised, we could have grabbed a few more treasures maybe. All is in good condition and dry. Took TB. Left TB

I enjoyed the walk along the fire trails to this one. Of course, I'd just re-hidden it when a jogging muggle came along the track. They didin't stop for a chat, thankfully!

I signed the log at 1525. Left the Homepride JIRO TB to continued its travels, and picked up the Geocoin.

Thanks for the cache, Wingaap Smile

807 - After a false start and a walk around a smaller circular track in Ironbark Gully, we found the track we needed to be on. A nice walk up the hill on a warmish afternoon, we visited a K8'n'Co cache a bit further up the track, before we came back to pick this one up at 5:17pm. We found the cache in good condition so we left a Rocher Percé TB Hotel Lover TB. TFTC Wingaap.

25-Feb-11
Decided to attack this one from 'ill be stumped' GCH1GD. Cross country is not a good strategic move, puff, groan, ouch!
Once I reached the road/track things were much better, and soon had my second wingaap cache for the day. TNLN. TFTC.

19-Feb-11
Found today after picking up Bags, Butterflies etc and I'll Be Stumped. Not sure why geo-hounds are excluded on "attributes" as the start of the track to the south (where we came out) states that dog -walking is permitted.

Regardless we and our geo-hounds had fun on this one, as usual

Thanks Wingaap

While in the area doing another cache - I thought I would tackle this one - because ye olde trusty Mio tells me its 440m away. It ended up being 1400m away Sad I went up the hill from the cache I had done and noticed I kept moving away from the cache. I thought.. oh well.. nice dayf or a walk. Thankfully the path went back on itself eventually and lead me to the GZ. After a bit of a scramble I found GZ OK. A great area - but too many long paths for the "less than fit among us" Razz

TFTC Wingaap - and the great exercise Smile

Our last cache on a great little loop walk we did in this peaceful bushy reserve. A standard – but rock solid – cache container this time, but at least it won't suffer from dampness. Another nice peaceful (on a weekday anyway) bushy locale. Took the very apt Bushfire Appeal coin to move along to points north. Thoroughly enjoyed our wander in this reserve and the caches we found. The walk is more of a gentle stroll really on excellent tracks and one we'd happily recommend to anyone – passers by such as us or locals.

Found at 13:55 with NyletaM after the long trek from the car park.
A nice trek though.
Found the cache easily, after a bit of bush bashing.

This was a pretty standard container by wingaap standards, but I supposed I can't complain as the walk was easier than usual. Smile TFTC

17-Mar-10
Easy find when approached from right direction -- nearly invisible from the other way. I originally tried a little downhill of this, turned up nothing, returned to the path and realised (just as a muggle walked past) that my "other" GPS had fallen off my belt somewhere! Fortunately it was in the last place I'd poked at for the cache, and was easily spotted and retrieved. Phew! TFTC Wingaap!

Decided to bushbash the first part and then found the path. Then couldn't remember where we came out when we were heading back to the car! *ahem* But we made the find and signed the logbook Smile TFTC (again!) Another nice walk that we otherwise wouldn't have discovered.

07-Jun-09
A nice easy find on my circuit around the woods. Thanks for the cache Wingaap. TNLNSL

09-May-09
We didn't mean to be more adventurous cachers (especially considering we had a 3 year old in tow) and try for 3 caches in a circuit but we took the wrong track from Lomandra to start with and decided to try for Leave your horse at home as instead! We found the right track on the way back and grabbed another cache as well before finally getting to Burnt Out then headed back to Lomandra. So 3 caches it was! Had a lovely picnic in the near deserted picnic area and then headed off for one more cache before heading to Iron Bark Gully for a couple more. Tired out the geokids nicely. TFTC

02-May-09
Got this cache after a long and healthy walk around the forest finding some other caches as well. Took cheesy geocoin LN. Thanks Wingaap.

26-Apr-09
Left a cheesy geocoin for the ants to digest.

Found easily with Mr Lat&Long. I also found some baby staghorns on the side of the earth bank beside the track. I have never seen them this small at about 4cm diameter. TFTC

26-Apr-09
Nice, easy find after a nice, easy stroll up the track with geowife. TN/LN/SL. A bunch of ants with large, yellow bodies have set up house under the cache and were none too pleased to see me pulling the roof off their house.

21-Mar-09
I approached this one from the wrong side of town - Monolith, starting from the carpark down low via the wrong track up (BYO track/gully). It was a long walk and an even longer walk home but it was worth it!

I'm glad I took the track home, I saw some great looking birds (the flying kind). TNLN, TFTC!

12-Jan-09
At 15:40. Took diabetes TB. Left crocheted hairpin.

We were pretty weary before we got there. We had already done Map Monkey's Lament. We started with the idea of completing the circuit from I'll Be Stumped and Mission Impossible #2 but after slogging up the branch covered climb and not getting any closer we decided to go back to the picnic area. Then we didn't find the right track until we had bush bashed up the side of the ridge. Well all's well that ends well. TFTC Wingaap, the 3rd of yours today. At least with this one the cache itself is not the problem.

10-Nov-08
We had 30 mins to locate this cache, return to our car and drive back to The Gap to pick up Jo Possum from acting classes. The GPS was jumping around so we just attacked every "burnt out" object in sight. Located just in time and made it back only 2 mins late. Cache in good condition.

01-Nov-08
This one popped up in the GPS as we were strolling through the area (thanks for the advice about GSAK Wingaap - it's already proving useful). Cache is dry and in good condition. Geoson swapped a pendant for some star wars cards. TFTC.

08-Oct-08
Found at 1030. Took a quick walk from Momolith to this one. Found it quickly, then the long walk back to the geomobile and on to Anaconda to see if I can pik up a bargain. Cache dry and OK. TFTC.

Needed a gentle stroll to unwind the legs after tackling Delilah's Cache this morning. Found the easy way to this one (thankfully) and can report that the cache is safe and dry. TFTH Smile

19-Mar-08
Talk about the wrong way - I think gefscofix gets his sports mixed up sometimes... No need to go cross country the way from the direction we came at this one! How can this cache be so seemingly close to other cache(s) in the area - yet it ends up being so far!!!

18-Mar-08

Found @ 2:36pm

Little Miss and I carried on from "Noel Noel" as it didn't seem far. Hmm... I know this road... we were here on our way (we were lost) to "I'll be stumped" a few year ago when little miss was brand new to the world. Its much slower when she's walking under how own steam now but so much easier on Daddy.

Found the cache okay once the grown up of the party was the one with the GPSr. It was a lovely day for a bush walk. After we found the cache we had ourselves a snack in the gentle sunlight. Little miss was particularly taken by the wind in the trees.

Thanks Wingaap, we had a great afternoon of it.

Once we'd decided on the path, it was a pleasant and easy stroll anyway! Dodged some kids on bicycles around GZ and a bushwalker or two, but no worries Smile. Dropped TB. TFTC! ='.'=
