With two finds already collected at Mt Observation, headed to this location with ILT. Quite a trek to get here but happy to make the find. Thanks Chwiliwr
Out and about with Team Barritts for couple of days caching adventures around York and Wandoo NP.
Thanks to all the CO's for their hides and bringing us to these great places.

A big day out today cleaning up and claiming smileys around the Lakes and York areas. TFTC Chwilliwr!
Team Red Roo and I had made tentative plans to tackle the FOTT 4WD series together sometime after he and his partner got back from their latest grey nomad adventures interstate. And they were gone for over six months this time, so all the solved puzzles, multis and whereigos just had to sit on the backburner and wait. But all is now good after a couple of fun days out there in the bush. We enjoyed the various types of bush we encountered but the wandoo forest were both our favourites. During the time we were away we saw emus, kangaroos, wedgetail eagles, red tail black cockatoos, parrots, perenti, gecko, galahs, twenty-eights, kookaburras, magpies, mudlarks, the list goes on, but what topped it off was the sighting of a couple of wild piglets (we wondered where the mother was, but didn't hang around to find out, lol). And of course, we found many, many geocaches too. After completing the 4WD series, we thought it was about time for some real 4X4 adventuring, so heading on over to try for this one. My companion had done this one long ago, so parked the vehicle close to where the easiest ascent could be attempted. When I finally got to gz, I was relieved to make a super quick find thanks to spot on coordinates. And the views were well and truly worth the effort of getting here. TN, LN, SL, replaced as found. Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to come and find Chwiliwr.
We headed out on a lovely winters day to collect some less loved caches and a few more along the FOTT trail. The views were breathtaking and we visited some spectacular locations. We enjoyed the hikes to get to GZ and are happy to say we added our name to the log book and walked away with a smilie TFTC
As part of being out and about for a big day on the FOTT we headed over on part of our tour of the area. We managed to find the various tracks and got close to GZ by car before walking the last bit. Nice to see an ammo can at GZ. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.
The weather didnt hold off today! We headed out in the rain to complete the 4wd FOTT Go Bush series. On our way out we heard that Goomalling had received golf ball sized hail. We continued on with some trepidation.
As we approached the Nature Reserve we were driving through puddles and leaf litter, little water crossings and water falls were appearing at the roadside. It was odd to see the foam appearing in the water. Hmmm what is today going to hold for us.
After successfully completing the series we crossed Talbot West Road and headed off to see what other caches we could find. More puddles but the roads were in pretty good condition until we approached Wandabiniring rocks and had to turn back.

Great day to be out caching in the bush. Started early in the morning at Kalamunda trig and continued on to end the day with twenty one finds. Not a lot but we covered some ground and some not so pleasant tracks along the way. This was find number seventeen for the day. We drove as far as the car would go before heading up the hill on foot. A nice quick find was made once we arrived at ground zero. Glad to have finally crossed this cache off the list, only a few more to go in the area.
Left home early this morning for a cache run in the hills with hhheddy
This being #12 out of 15 finds for the day, zero DNF.

Out and about with Barnzy12, catching up on logging from the last 2 weeks. Either as i didn't have reception on phone to load up a cache or didn't have an archived saved list. TFTH TFTC
A huge day out today around the wandoo conservation area, mount dale recreation area and the mundaring state Forrest. Huge days caching which really buggered us out, collecting a really solid days caching under the belt, not huge numbers but seeing some awesome places and unique locations.
We planned a mega days caching around these parts but with a late start after the gym this morning and the roads being a little harder to navigate than planned things took a bit longer.
We saw some lovely rocky outcrops, beautiful Forrest, and some beautiful scenery.
Found all caches we attempted today, some 17 finds, all in good condition, a large number of them were ammo tins which was great to see and thankfully no micros!
We finished the day grabbing another of the legendary wandoo series we have somehow managed to miss on our initial two day forray into the series when we were newbies, and our subsequent 15,000 combined finds since, so was nice to knock off more of the series.
Will be back soon to complete the remainder of he caches closer to York including the cluedo series and the caches around mount dale recreation area. Thanks for a great day out!
Probably my favourite spot you showed us today chilli, will have to come back and try the walk GPS route you suggested. Thanks for keeping these caches going

Out exploring with Bristag we dodged a few motorcycles before we came across this great spot. The nearby rock was a challenge in itself, although on reaching the cache i spotted what could have been a much easier way to access it. Thanks for showing us this great bushland.
Managing to drive within 60m of this cache thanks to the dirt bike tracks, we wandered over to the western side to soak up the views while tr's son made the find here.
Another great spot that hasn't even been overlooked by the dirt bikes. Looks like even an excell has gone to its doom off the rock to the east.
Im a little surprised this has gone unfound for so long, but we found the TB dragon was still there and he has gone travelling with trsang as i have already moved him in the past.
Thanks for bringing me here Chwiliwr

This was our last cache for the day. We made a quick stop on the way home from Lake Leschenaultia, and somehow it is 7.00pm and we are climbing up here to grab 'one last cache'. Oops! A great couple of hours spent geo-caching is NEVER a waste of time. Even better is the view from the top. The sun is going down, and the bush has that peaceful sunset-feeling. As if everything has stopped for a moment to watch. Ah, the serenity. Tftc.
Headed out for a day of exploring the bush around Mt Observation, this was one of the caches we found along the way... We easily navigated within 100m or so of this one, & then Jase & DangerMouse09 headed up the hill Little Tyler was not feeling like a walk up a hill in the hot heat & flys so we watched on from below... As we watched them climb the hill, it was not too long before we heard DM09 "find it"
TFTC Chwiliwr [^] We enjoyed visiting this spot & the fun getting here too... Hope to explore around here some more, but next time it will be on a much cooler day! Cache was in good condition.

Found on a circular walk including Mt. Observation and Pony Hill. Thanks for the cache!
Various ways to approach this cache, but chose to come from the west, from Talbot West Road, as I had a score to settle with the Wandoo Topaz cache. The junction with Pony Road is right opposite Wandoo Topaz. Somehow I totally failed to notice the numerous "Private Property" and "No Unauthorised Access" signs which had been nailed to the trees by those miserable sods at the Water Corporation. Luckily today I wasn't on a side-mission to bury plague victims or dump leaky drums of radioactive waste in the water catchment. Phew!
Anyway, the Yuring cache is well away from land claimed by Water Corp. It's situated on top of a granite knoll with great views from the top. Loved this little adventure and enjoyed reading the comments in the logbook, dating back a good few years now. Feels like a real little time capsule. Everything in good order, thanks for the cache.

Steep climb. I'm sure that the view is spectacular. We saw big raindrops only. No geocoin at site. SL TFTC
Went out for a look with the better half after the recent DNF and the caching gods was smiling on us as the route we navigated up to GZ took us through a small clearing near GZ and enabled us to find the cache out in the open in the middle of this clearing some 17m from GZ. Cache was replaced where it should have been and the replacement cache that I had taken just in case was taken elsewhere and made a cache on GCA.
Didn;t find, looks like someone has nicked it. Pretty sure i was in the right spot.
Our 1st DNF today.
[red]We spent quite some time here at around 1:27:00 PM, but couldn't locate the cache.
We still had a great day out though. A spot of dirt road driving and a refreshing walk to stretch our legs. Unfortunately Penny's vertigo kicked in on the eay up the hill so while Ian continued to search another pair of eyes would have helped.[/Red]

Came by on the way home. Love this part of the bushland. Bikes have pretty much carved up the walk track that used to be nearby. The eastern side of the hill has had the very thin top soil eroded away to bare rock and the path the bikes take is now very wide. Give it another couple of years and the hill will be just bare rock surface.
Didn't detract from the peace and serenity of this area. All the bikers must have gone home.
We left an unactivated GEocoinclub coin, Bring May Flowers, in the cache for the next visitor. Hope its not a wanker on a motorbike.

What a trek! After an 8km rode from Mt Observation, Lu's a lengthy detour due to 'navigational issues', we made it to this pretty spot. Well worth the bumps along the way. Good spot with his caching eye by JC of CC. Lovely to hear the Kookaburras in the distance and the complete peace and quite, but for the birds and wind. Gets a fav point for our adventure and the view. TFTC
[:(!] Went for an afternoon of caching with the geograndchildren (5) and thier geofather (Owers Corner). The geokids had a wonderful time looking for the caches in the bush, this was one of four, this was a fairly easy find TNLNSL TFTC

This one has been on my to-do list for a long time, after I missed it the first time I came into this area. It was quite tricky finding the right road to come in on, and that's why I had missed it last time. Had the big 4wd today, so I knew I could head down any track, and some of them needed quite a bit of ground clearance. Once I found the parking area, a quick walk up the hill (feet were getting a bit sore after just hiking over 6km), and an easy find.
Nice views from up here! Cache was in great condition. Took a finders card, there is 1 more left. Thanks for the cache.

The rock was a bit slippery after the rain but well worth the walk to the top. TNLN. TFTH.
The last one for the day, and quite a climb it was. Once we found it we went a bit higher to enjoy the view. Well worth it.

Found it - nice drive - interesting though after heavy thunderstorm night before - plenty of deep puddles. TNLN
Spring is well over and we have seen few wildflowers over the last couple of days - this place however was the exception. We were greeted by a carpet of yellow flowers as we ascended to the cache. It was lovely. Then as we approached GZ there was loud buzzing in the air and we momentarily thought that bees had invaded the cache site but it was only hundreds of flies taking refuge from the heat in the same space as the cache. We took a finders card, thanks Chwiliwr.
4WD took us to within 60 meters,in company of "woodslost" co-ords spot on TNLN SL

Great climb on a good sized rock. Good view from the other side. Well worth the climb and walk. TFTH T Chain clip L 1935 Australian Penny
Finally found it after keying in wrong co-ordinates..Helped out by Dave, Fiona and Cale. showed how unfit some of us were..hehehehe. Took Krusty and Paint sponges (as one of us was doing some house painting) Left: Electronic game, figurine and Pretend mobile phone. T4TH SL
Looked at that big rock with a bit of trepidation, "Oh well here goes". The climb wasn't as bad as I thought, though it could be a bit slippery in the wet. There were quite a few lizards running around the rock. Up over the top and onward, and found cache OK on the other side.

This one slowed me up, bit steep for me but I got there in the end. I was watching the view as I walked the side of the hill and missed the hiding spot. The cooler weather must have the roos on the move by the amount I've seen today.

Last cache for the day before we hit the sack somewhere near Billy’s Toy Box cache for the night. See Everlasting’s log – there were no other way where we can divert onto either side due the heavy bushes (we do not want to bash them) except moved the fallen tree, to continue the journey. No swap except took TB Lisa the Lizard. Thanks for the hunt and a souvenir card, Chwilliwr
Found the cache at 5.30pm. At last we arrived there due to block on the road as the trees fell on the track; we have to drag the tree out of the road. No swap expects the card. Again thank you Chwiliwr for organise the cache and hunt. Geocoin - odometer.
4th for the morning before moving on to Chwiliwr's nearby GCA.com geocaches. The biggest climb so far but still a walk in the park for the less fit like myself. Although because I took the direct route up from Pony Rd I found I needn't have climbed so much than if I'd skirted around a bit to the West before going up. Good co-ords and this is where I said goodbye to TB Lisa the Lizard after a drink and a photo shoot. TFTH
