Back for second attempt with photo in hand of location. Still no luck, can owner confirm it is still in place.
This was cache # 6 of 21 for the day in the company of Radnoski on my four day fly in fly out visit to celebrate with my good friend La Kedi as today was her last day of Uni, we were off to Moreton Island tomorrow. I was sure this was going to be hidden on the old bridge, it was not after a bit of scratching around the cache was soon ion hand. My thanks to vwnuts for the cache.
I was in the area doing some caching with Rebel Acts.
We were getting the hang of these type of multi's and found the cache quickly.
Love the nearby old bridge.
Thanks for the cache vwnuts.
While signing the log one of those pesky cache dwelling frogs hopped on in.

It's a pity these creeks aren't used for fun anymore - looks like the nearby one is a home for weeds Having said that - there is quite a few creeks that are still suitable for this. I found the bridge Found this one with no problems - twas muggle central at GZ. Thankfully I wasn't spotted during the swoop. Shouted the logbook a plastic bag as well. TFTC vwnuts
This must be a favourite stop for truckies on their lunch breaks (or nine-sies or eleven-sies or when-ever-sies). Quickly found the cache and rushed back to the car (which was handily parked very near by) to sign the log. Then had to wait till said truckies moved on to replace. Thought they'd never leave.
Who would have thought that people actually swam in creeks in the "olden days".....

I found the changed coordinates and wandered off to GZ as a large truck parked nearby.
I did a search and came up empty handed and returned to check that I had the right coordinates.
Checked that they were indeed right and returned for another search.
Found it this time. The truckie was oblivious of my activity.
Thanks for another great cache in the series.

Alkzura and I had a bit of GPS bounce, which was no excuse for the fact we checked the right place first and missed the cache! Thankfully a few minutes later we were back at the right place and found it immediately. Another MtM down! TFTC
NyletaM and I grabbed this one today, and made it a lot more difficult than it should have been.
After checking the correct location first, we had to circle round a few times before returning where we started.
Back at the right location again, we found it quickly.

Found after lunch at the Death Star Canteen (kind of) and noticed as I replaced the cache that the parked truck nearby had a driver in it :I Hope he wasn't too curious. TFTC ='.'=
Working on turning this area into smilies, Svn07 and I grabbed this one on our run with Baroki Scout and VWNuts along side... Nice and easy this time as I already had the GZ coords and they were confirmed with VWNuts pulling up along side my converted coords...
On with the hunt and there was nothing to be found on scratching around the area... VWNuts himself suggested that if it wasn't there, it had gone... Hang on though, what about around here [?] Hey, there it is... a little cache creep but still at the final coords... [^]
Cheers VWNuts.

Amazed at the number of Mountains to Mangroves signs that exist!!
With a strategically placed vehicle this was a quick hunt in the obvious spot....good thing Gunnie69 always conducts a wide search....regardless of the evidence presented. I was tracking around the other side of GZ so missed it anyway.
The last hunt for 2009....a day out with Baroki Scout, vwnuts and Gunnie69.
Thanks for the cache vwnuts. Cheers, svn07

Easy find on a quite Saturday morning, only sounds were the cars and someone hitting golf balls in the nearby golfing thingy!!!
Pulled up at the convenient parking spot but there was no hope of conducting a hunt. Why? Well there were a couple of muggles enjoying their lunch right next to GZ. So I jumped back in the Gunniemobile and hit the road. I'll be back another time.
oops we did this one last weekend but never logged it obviously - doh TFTC! Another great Mountains to Mangroves cache. Had to abort this on last attempt as at 8am on a sunday morning, some muggle decided it was an enjoyable spot for a morning coffee???
Without a UTM GPSr... was able to nut this one out. enjoying the series. thanks vwnuts.
Dropped by this cache while picking up my motorcycle.
Another addition to this series I am slowly chipping away at!
(There is a dead animal smell that I seriously hope goes away very soon!!)

Find 1 of 51 on a big day of caching with Kholometers. I'd already found the coordinates for this one on a prior visit so we walked right up to it and find it right away - TNLN, TFTC.
Good to see it back where we expected to find it last time. Found at 13:40. TNL crocheted hairpin. TFTC VWNuts & good to meet you in person yesterday.
Our 50th find - Found the Co-ords and was returning to car to log them into the GPSr UTM style, as Brissy Guy Junior decided to try his luck near using the hint provided. Found it without having to do the conversion. TNLN SL, TFTC vwnuts.
We are pretty sure we were in the right place following the hint but did not find it.
I started the brief bit of caching for the day with a DNF unfortunately. I looked around GZ and it looked like it had been slashed/mown right to the base. I poked around with the stick in case it was a bit buried but all I found was a bull ant nest and rubbish.
Grabbed this one and took the TB for a wander, nearly was consumed by ants but they turned out to be friendly-ish and left me alone! Thanks for another Mountains to Mangroves...
I thought I had found this one previously but i must have mistaken it with another in the series. TFTC
Found cache in good condition and dropped in 'Maine Lighthouse' T.B. for a stay. There were abundant lights flashing past on the road to Sandgate approaching peak hour.
SL, and thanks for another link in the M2M chain.

Found at 1020 another quick find. I was surprised how out in the open it was but there was no one about, so I grabed it.
Nice easy find. Great opportunity to try out the Gps's other talents. tftc Did a bit of a toy swap.
Another of this great series ticked off the list - thanks for the opportunity to chase these down!
The cache was pretty wet, took it for an afternoon spectating at the nearby college and returned all nice and dry!

Found a nice quiet side street to park in and wandered off to inspect the sign. With final co-ordinates in hand, the UPS was quickly located. TFTC
Found the sign, found the UPS (unnatural pile of sticks), found the cache. TN/LN/SL. Tried to make the UPS a bit more natural, but I failed. There's nothing else to cover it with.
did it with chook dident get some others today but we will be back nice find TFTC (the only caches left in the area for us to do are the mountains to mangroves)
Nice easy find today while Geocaching with Cowdy's Rowdy's
I did note that on my GPS the coords were out a little (less than 5 metres) but this may help me when I go back to check the VW Nuts caches I missed today.

We just could see the sign for this one as it was surrounded by tall grass. We quickly copied down the co-ordinates but I had no idea without reading the manual how to change to UTM. However, by pure deduction we came up with the cache.

The mozzies nearly carried me away. Must learn to take the spray with me. Nice to find a cache with no Muggles about. TFTH
500!!! 8:20am with geodaughter GeoGal83
Thanks vwnuts - really enjoyed the history lesson and the the very first of our "Mountains to Mangroves" caches today.
Apparently my now deceased great uncles used to swim in these swimming holes a very long time ago when they were lads. I guess the creeks were in better condition then?
Interesting to use UTM

Found this this morning on the way home from my parents, Easy find. TFTC TNLNSL.
Cache is in good condition, but the log in slightly damp, but still usable.

Even though it has been 3 months since the last find, we found the cache in good condition (even though the log was slightly damp). What we did notice was a lot of cobblers pegs at GZ and got the impression the whole place was due for a council clean up. Hopefully the whirr of whipper snipers will not challenge the cache TNLN Thanks vwnuts.
Found with lochb, nearly a drive by!!!
Cache is a little damp. Dried it outr as best i could but a little TLC required..

Most definitely a drive by Found in company of Rastas tonight who stayed in the car and watched me retrieve it. TFTC
It was'nt hard to find, but i had a bit of trouble closing the lid due to a big ninja warior.[:o]
A quick night time assault on our way home from an after cache hunting adventure. Nice quick find once we had the co-ordinates. TNLN. TFTC.
Thankfully those knowledgeable Nanks were with us to show us how to figure this one out!! Due to some wandering muggles everyone else played distraction whilst I lunged in and grabbed the cache from it's hiding hole! Elderly muggles thought we were all a little suspicious looking I am sure.
After a recent lesson from Bruce from team "liz and Bruce" Mumma NANKS was armed with the knowledge to work out these weird coords! While the rest of the group walked across the nearby bridge, Mrs "MAD" grabbed the cache. We signed the log and felt rather proud of our newly learned skill. [^]
Thanks Nuts

I thought at first that this was going to be really difficult but it wasn't. The hard part was to remember to reset the GPS to the original settings. Thanks for the history. so often a place like this can be missed.
Easy find - there were a few people around so stealth was required. TNLN. Thanks vwnuts
16:10hrs in the company of Piecost and Snoo Snoo. We raced off and grabbed the cache before gowing straight to the nightowl for some large slurpies. I am sure they said there would be some rain today. Summer is here. TFTC.
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Razza at 9:15am today. There were some muggles around but they were very busy working. Cache is safe and well hidden. In: (can't remember) Out: Rachel badge
Found this one quite easily but when I went to put cache back muggles a plenty.

Really enjoying this series. Again, couldn't figure out how to put the GPSr into UTM mode, so I just converted the co-ordinates on my laptop. Cache in good condition. Took frog and left and electronic thingy we found on the ground at another site. Not sure what it is but it seems to be working. If someone finds it and knows what it is, feel free to let us know

Did this on the way home to pick up travel bug. Will continue it on its jorney this weekend. Cache in good condition although its a little exposed as council has recently cleaned the area up.
Found this on my way home from work. Had previously located UTM co-ords. Returned today as I finally have a GPS to use. Bluetooth i-Blue connected to Imate Jam running Oziexplorer. This was my first GPS cache find. All others, (including the UTM co-ords for this one) were located via Google Earth images. Took me a while to realise I had to (and how to) change the proximity distance in Ozi. It kept telling me I was at the destination. (Really only within 250m of it). Next time I'll also know how to select "goto waypoint" and get a distance and bearing from ground zero. Left Monopoly Bug 3 - The Thimble travel bug, otherwise TNLNSL. TFTC.
Twelfth of 21 finds for the afternoon/evening in the company of The Garner Family. I logged a couple of these ones during my last visit. I particularly like the use of UTM coordinates. We had been joined by HawMorFords for this one, and we jointly made the find at 1655. (In fact, TGF made the find while we were stuffing around a short distance away.) I made no exchange at this one. Thanks to vwnuts for the cache.
Some cachers these days are in such a hurry they just grab the co-ordinates and go. Fortunately one of us amongst dak's emu mob, hawmorfords and myself took an interest in history & actually stopped to read the sign.
The cache was found easily at 16:55. TFTC (and the history).

Tagged along with The Garner Family and Dak's Emu after finding another cache nearby.
An easy find once we got organised.
Thanks to Adam for taking the time to read the sign and educate Dak and myself.

Found this one on the way to Sandgate on the push bike. Nice and quiet on Sandgate Road for a change. I don't think many people swim in this creek anymore.
i loved this one just around the corner from my work thanks for this one vwnuts TNLN the mackies
Dont think you'd have much fun in this creek....well not at the moment.
Funny how you can drive past a spot so many times and never realise that there is a sign there!
Nice easy find at 12.35pm
