No luck for us today. Fantastic location, thanks for bringing us here. Greetings form Australia !
Decided to log this cache as we are sure the old one has gone with the wind , if the CO does not agree you can delete our log. An amazing place for a cache so deserves a favourite from us. WW.
B & Ws plastic bag seems to have disappeared so we have replaced cache with a new small container at the original co-ords and with the same hints hope we have done the right thing , good luck to the next person to make it to the rock. Well worth the climb , great views.

original cache container gone missing so Bumandworker has kindly replaced it with a sealed plastic bag in a dry and new position.
If the next cacher up here could take a micro/small container for this to go in that would be appreciated.
Cant see myself getting up there in the foreseeable future.
Thanks again Bumandworker.

Logging, hopefully with blessing of C.O. - if not happy, please delete our log and we will return some time.
This is a fabulous walk. Dog/s did not come, but signage suggests he is not allowed as dogs excluded from fenced area. The two lovely placid dogs stayed with our car.
Farm owner is doing track maintenance too...very cool.
View from the top is worth the walk.
As for the cache, it is gone...we hunted around in case it was victim of wind, but no sign.
We had read previous find log, so had taken a small "rite in rain" log in a wee snap bag, not expecting container gone too.
Left that as described in the hint under a fist sized rock. Be great if some one could add a micro or small container. It will stay dry in that new spot.
Thanks eraserman for showing us a walk (and history) we did not know.

No logbook and cache was soaked when I found it. Dried it out as best I could and made sure the lid was on well
What a fabulous view! Another amazing sight discovered as a result of geocaching, and within spitting distance of a lovely place I used to live! Three Germans and myself trekked up here and my new friend Sven was introduced to geocaching: my first time introducing someone to the game.
For more than an hour I sat on the White Rock, at times meditating, at times enjoying the magnificent view!
There was no logbook and the cache was absolutely soaked. I used a shirt to dry the bucket out as best I could and Sven and I used torn bits from a piece of scratch paper to sign our names. This is Sven's first cache and my 426th!

After nearly 9 years since placement and last visit we thought a cache check would be prudent.
Mickey the labrador greeted us excitedly and led the whole way. He was very enthusiastic.
Replaced log book as a little damp and updated coords and hint. Still great views and Mrs E. first visit here was well worth the effort. A 235 meter vertical climb and an easyish 25 minute walk to the top.

Micky showed us the way. I dropped a big car in this bucked which I received just@the last bucked I came along. After enjoying that fantastic scenery we could again feel the kindness of people living here which invited us for a cup of tea. Thank you peter, nice meeting you
1FP 4 your cache! For it is in a fantastic location

We visited the white rock with Peter and dog "Mickey". After searching for 'a while' Peter found the bucket. We took a rest and enjoyed the scenic view over Motueka Valley.
It was a wonderful stay on your Farm. Thank you Peter and Mechthild.
Our gps had little problems with the coordinates.

Yay have been meaning to do this cache for the last 3 years !!!! today was finally it !! it is a reasonable slog up to the cache but the views certainly make it worth while !! The lady owner was friendly and informative and when we came down to the car we meet the male owner and had a lovely chat with hime to - the freindly escort ( by the name of Mikey) was friendly and well behaved although alot quicker and nimbler then us 2 legged plodders !! Thank you for bringing us up here we really enjoyed it ( once I got my breath back !!!!)
This has been on a list to do for so long and after our last trip to the area where, with our old gps we had no info we now knew what we were required to do. We were met on site by our escort for the trip though he did dissappear very quickly. Checked in with land owner who steered us to the correct track and directions . A nice easy walk to start and a trip over a paddock watching some rather sharp horns occupying the same area!! but as the landowner said they were no problem and in fact never moved whilst we went on our way. Track gave us a bit of a work out after the last feew days but eventually made it to the top where our guide was happily waiting for us . Niteowlnz quickly spotted the cache whilst the gps was trying to go further up the hill . Took a few photos whilst here and decded with today being a cooled day was a better tiime to do this cache Thanks for bringing us here to this viewing spot TFTC
This cache has been on the front page of my "close to home" caches for a very long time. The other member of the SST team dropped in for coffee today, and would you believe - - the conversation eventually turned to caching. Well. Within a short space of time the gear had been gathered and we were off. We were rewarded with a brilliant walk, fantastic views and a much needed workout. Completed within 1.5 hours - - - and neither of us would consider ourselves super-fit. Thanks very much for this great cache.
Now why hadn't we done this before. Well, because when we were 'out this way' there were other things to do or we didn't have the parking coords or.... Mrs SoBad was visiting - no thought of caching as she only had light sandals. When we decided to do a SST trip - well the closest unfound by both of us was obvious. The people at the house were lovely - very welcoming and wished us good luck with the cache. The signs did say sturdy shoes - well one of us had sturdy shoes and it wasn't this one. But it was no problem - and the views would have made up for any issues. We did see the dog - but we ran second best to a sheep. On and up, with lots of photos stops- and as Sidewaze has logged, we had no issues although not that fit. The cache was in the open, but we returned it to its probable home - after adding our name to the short list of cachers and long list of muggles. Great cache - thanks so much. A favourite.
Excellant cache! Met the landowner and was issued with the appropriate dog! Dog knew exactly why I was there, and exactly where to go. Led me all the way, and then stopped and lay down beside the cache! Didn't really need the gps! Good one, thank you.
Had my eye on this one for a while.Glad i waited for a hot sunny day it made it hard and the water bottle got very low.It was nice to have help going up but only lasted till the second gate and he was gone.He waited at the rock for me thanks 4 legged friend tftc
A great walk with my Dad this evening. The old bugger showed me up big time on the way up too. "I don't do steep". Great views, and a top spot, Checked in at the house before setting off and met the dog and a couple of other walkders at the top and then the dog followed us back down. TFTC.
Found along with Mr KE, Have not been up to this place for 38yrs.
Felt easyer then possibly the age. TFTC

At an overcasted day I cycled in and found the cache. Nice to be on top. TFTC MacBanger
A fantastic walk up here although it did show me how unfit I've become lately. There were so many things to see and that didn't even include the amazing views. I was so pleased to see that rock as i turned the corner. TFTC #1039
Great place. Everyone made it. Thanks Peter and Mechthild for maintaining this wonderful place.
This one has been on the to do list for ages. Finally got round to it today. Said hello to the owners as I arrived and they said follow the dog, so I did. Well trained canine companion led me all the way to the top and even barked for me when he got to the cache. Great views, neat spot and well worth the effort. TFTC, Biggles.
What a wonderful day, we arrived to do the cache and who was there to greet us but that beautiful dog with a big smile on his face. He knew why we were there, away we went with him leading the way through the gates and up the hill. He met us when we were nearly there making sure we were going the right way, and guess what, he lead us straight to the cache, very proud he was. It was well worth the effort, climbing that hill just to see the dog's face when we arrived at the cache site. TFTC

We both think its worth the climb, made even harder by takeing the wrong track and what a great viewTFTC
Easy once your find the right track. Ended up going up the steep bush track before finding the main one.
I've found your cache! really enjoyed the walk, the random things along the track made it quite interesting - the best one was probably the slice of wood with "tempus fugit" ('time flies' in latin) carved into it.
Recently I had a bit of spare time in the upper end of the South Island and I managed to find a large number of geocaches. Unfortunatly due to an unexpected trip to Australia for family reasons I was called away from my Nelson adventures.... Now three weeks on I'm having to sit back and log the piles of caches that I did manage to find while I was down there. As there were a large number of caches, I've decided to throw in a generic log for all but a few of them.
Being a North Islander I was surprised at the sheer number of (glow in the dark) polar bears living in the upper South Island - I really didn't think it was that cold down there. And if I had of cottoned on eariler I could have traded for pretty much an entire chess set, one peice at a time. As it was I tended not to trade geo-junk but I did move a small number of geocoins around.
Of the caches I found I could not possibly choose a favorite but there are certainly both some challenging and very rewarding caches in the area. The best caches tend to be the ones where the owner has put in a bit of extra effort or extra thought into the challlenge and design of the cache, thanks to all those who did. I was also very surprised to see that there are a large number of caches placed in and around graveyards - I've never visiited so many in shuch a short space of time. I was pleased to see some new ideas around as well.
Warmest Regards,
Bobo.

Neat walk, thank you and wonderful view. Lots of snow around to make it all the more spectacular. Wasn't sure which house to go to, but think we went through the correct entrance after a bit of fluffing about. (No one home.) Saw five Wood Pigeons at one time - almost a flock.

We know the owners of this land and went up with them. Was VERY hot, at least 30 degrees so was sweating by the time we reached the top. TFTC!!
Nice walk up on a nice day the climb was well worth it as their are some nice views from the top.
Going hunting in Molesworth next weekend and thought this cache would be ideal for a bit of fitness and yup i was right it had my lungs and heart working overtime but was well worth the effort and i would recomend this cache as the view is AWESOME. TFTC. TNLN.
Went up with Samy! jnr to pick up Kate's Katie Bear TB. Thought it was time to move her along as she has been up here for quite awhile and not getting many visits to the cache site itself. IT IS A WORTHWHILE TRIP TO DO and THE VIEWS ARE AMAZING.
Have noticed in the cache log book that on 5-3-06 Shae Casbolt Michael and David from WOMBLE FARM in ORINOCO left their prized whistle in with the other trinklets.
After Buzztasmans visit on 29-4-06 there was a note left by Clive, Julie and Shane CASBOLT. They said that Katie Bear had been on "HOLIDAY" AT WOMBLE FARM, ORINOCO.They were unsure where KATIE was to go from there so they had returned her to continue her travel. We wrote a thankyou note for looking after her and left a HAMBUGULAR (Mac toy)

A bit of a grunt, and Mts Buzz was grumbling when we were getting near the top, 'Are we there yet, there yet!' but the views made it all worthwhile.

Nice One!!!!!!! Bit of a heart-pumping climb; however, well worth it with a fantastic 360 view from the top. Autumn colours in all direction were just magic. Was accompanied up and back by the owner's very friendly dog. Co-ordinates were spot. + Key chain - Mickey Mouse Thanks
Wow what a great spot for a cache and a FTF for us as well, bonus.
We really enjoyed the walk up here and the views. We can't understand how this cache was left so long without being found.
Thanks for the little extra in the cache eraserman. We had it while we were enjoying the views from up there.
Dropped off Kate's Katie Bear TB
