well that was a tough one had to get help as the pines have been cut down and the cache was coved in slash. It had also been ran over. Took it with us to give to owner.
Down in Mount Gambier for a weekend visit to Son & Daughter-in-law. After a wet & cold Saturday we decided to show them what we oldies do when we are out camping with Klems Mob. Great walk in the forest. TNLNSL
This has always been something i have wanted to do, walk through a pine forest. Wow i looked up and all these giants were swaying looked like they were all dancing. With petrol running low we decided to risk it and at GZ the cache was soon in hand. NINO SL TFTC
We had a bit more luck with this one as Deano found it in the first place he looked. We didn't see any kangaroos but when you're driving around in the dark that's probably a blessing. Interesting spot.
Thanks,

Walked straight to it, making this a nice easy find in the darkness

Found the cache at 9.20am, Have been search for while.... Finally found it. No swap. SL. Thanks for organising the cache and hunt.
One thing we couldn't find in the pine forest was much in the way of GPS signals. Fortunately we found the boring stop, and then the cache.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
It never ceases to amaze me what you can find within these pine plantations around here. Sometimes sinkholes and at other times old tanks. Even though the satellites were good we hunted around for a while in the gloom before Rob made the find. Thanks scojohara.
This was a lovely forest. Two rather amazing things happened here. Firstly I had amazing satellite coverage in the trees (not that I needed it given where the cache was) and the other was that the cache was in the only place that I looked! Great stuff! thanks for putting a cache here.
6th find for the day,5.20pm. reasonably easy with 4 kids looking! Loggers look like they have finished here for a while, don't have to walk anywhere if you have a 4wd! another one nice and close to where we were staying for the weekend. thanks

Easy to find, you really do find the strangest things in the pine forests around the mount. They are felling timber in the area here so be careful.
Cheers

A walk was required to gain access to this cache as they had begun Logging in this area and do not want you near, plus roads are ordinary.

Have been wanting to get this one for some time now and today this one was done. Couldn't get the car near by so we walked. Geokid had fun getting to this one jumping over the log stumps and logs.
Thanks for the Hunt Scojohara

Hardly a boring cahe
With the scant satellite signal the drive around the forest progressed in a series of slowly decreasing squares
Finally got within 150 metres and spotted the ancillary equipment.

Found this one after the conclusion of the CCC event weekend. We had a quieter day caching after most other teams had gone home. We enjoyed exploring the forests and some of these sites without being in such a hurry! The cache was quickly found but we explored some more without having to rush off to the next cache.
TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache.
TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache.
The forest was very tranquil this morning, and after we found the cache, decided to have lunch here. Far from boring . Thanks for bringing us here Scojohara. Cheers.
Found at 11:10. As we approached the forest we found Parrothead et al pretending they weren't hiding one of their caches for the CCC event. You make hopeless liars guys.
Drove right up to the cache, a strangely fun experience.

First find for the day for Team Biggo on the Saturday of the CCC weekend! Trailed SA Parrothead to GZ and the cache was quickly revealed. I don't know how you guys find these places!!

Found 22:00. 11th of 21 FFTD. Out with chizbeki for a caching frenzy evening on our first night in town. Sat-loc was flakey at best, had to use a bit of guess work to find this one. Very creepy at this time of night, a bit Blair Witch like, don't think Mrs C appreciated the humour in my ghostly cries . TNLNSL. TFTC.
9th of 18 for our trip down to the SE for the CCC event. A very creepy place late at night, satlock lost us here and there, didn't help that Mr Ermalesh kept reminding us of how similar the surrounding were to that fromthe movie the Blair Witch Project. [xx(] Found cache quickly and got quickly outta there! TNLN TFTC
Love the location of this one, was very impressed by the clues. Our gps was right on the mark it was easy to find once we knew what we were looking for. Thank you loved this one.
this one took a little longer to find, cache has blue lid saw lots of blue plastic about, however found cache, it has a white lid on it, pines also added to difficulty. took no swaps nor left any, cache is in good condition, good hide location, skippy kept a weary eye on us at a safe distance here.found time about 10.20am
Luckily we visited after the cache had been replaced. First to sign new log book.
Saw a few roos on the way in, very peaceful today. Thanks Scojohara.

After the last post, I went and checked this cache and sure enough it had gone missing. It has now been replaced so we will see how it goes. It was obviously muggles as everything was gone, even the frame work.
6:57 pm - We made our way to this cache, and found the location. After 15 minutes of looking I could not find it, so I phoned a friend who had found this months earlier (udderchaos). He gave me a better idea where it should be. After another 30 mins, we still couldn't find it. We looked within a 1 to 20 metre radius of the bore, but still no luck. We even had a metal detector with us! We did find broken up blue plastic though, and lots of holes dug up in the area.
We were hoping to drop off a T-Bird TB here, since have not been able to find a large enough cache in Darwin or elsewhere in Mount Gambier (within city limits).

Fun Cache to find as our daughter got her learners permit today and she was able to start driving out in the pines. (No trees were harmed in the finding of this Cache). Took golf tees and left golf ball. A nice easy second Cache find. Thanks.

It took longer to find our way to gz than it did to actually find the cache on this one. You never know what you are going to find in the middle of these pine forests, this is another good example of that. We were fortunate to be rewarded with the cache in the first place we looked

after we eventually found our way in here, and andrew stood back and watched rizzo and i search for a few mins, we made a find.
as we were signing the log, andrew tested how deep the bore was by dropping pine cones.
going to do more research into this one, as its an interesting place

Finally got out to this one after hitching a ride in the Udderchaos mobile along with Setsujoku.Scratched around GZ for a little while as Udderchaos looked on and gave limited hints..Setsujoku made the find and a bit of effort had been made by Scojohara in the hide...well done

Nice hide Scojohara. The GPSr was losing it every now and then. But with grit and determination we soldiered on. Once there we revelled in the accoustics. Calling out 'cooees' loudly created some wonderful echo effects in the trees. The Woodenheads loved this spot.
Took the elephant and left behind a little quad bike.

Found by Mary & David at 1725. How did you ever find this place? Delighted to see some kangaroos on the edge of the forest as we arrived. Interesting artefacts around GZ. TNLN. Our thanks again to Scojohara.
Found on our way back from Hamilton.
drove within 90 metres of cache, could have got closer but lambchops was driving at the time.
Took Dog and Left Kangaroo and Cousin Jack TB

A FTF for Beaker's Bunch!!
Quite tricky to get close to because of the almost complete lack of satellite lock. Once at the spot, the find is quite easy. Triangulation is the key for those who are having difficulty.
Took nothing, Left 'Bearings' TB
Thanks BB
