Its arrogant people like Roel Michaels which makes people start archiving their caches instead of repairing caches.
Visiting Mt Gambier for the Australian Mountainbike Orienteering Championships. We one the OZ - NZ Challenge with 13-8. But we did not find this cache. How many DNFs do you want before you fix it?
Found a magnet but nothing else.
Suspect it has been muggled.
Hopefully can be fixed soon.

After an extensive search, I had to move on unhappy with a DNF, but what can you do?
thanks for the hunt.
thanks for the hunt.
Our DNF count in the Mount continues to climb. The co-ords point to the middle of the garden. We called a previous finder but the cache was not in the place that they described.
Had a few minutes too spare so we gave this one a go but no luck. This type of cache needs a bit more preparation so will try again next time.TFTC
Great spot for cache. This one really made me think. It was handy having the family there as I could have a good look around without people noticing me.
Was about to give up on this one when I thought I would think little rather than big and found the cache easily. TFTC
No luck here either... too many hidey holes and I can make any sense of the hint
Thanks anyway

Our very first SA cache and another bit of red on the Australian map .
This one had us stumped for a while and I scratched my head whilst the ssmc4 family lazed on the grass. Finally my thinking reached the right trajectory and I had the cache in hand.
A beautiful garden - thanks to The Rizzos.

Nice easy find...interesting cache! log is very full and a bit tattered!! TFTC
We visited this spot today, had the place to ourselves as it was bitterly cold and drizzling. Thought we had inspected every conceivable place but came up empty. So we 'phoned a friend' (in Qld) who had previously found it, for further instructions. She confirmed we had been looking in right location but obviously not thorough enough. Did a more in depth search and came up trumps. Excellent hide!
Sat down to have lunch in the park & fired up the GPS.
Hmmm...9 metres away, let's have a look then.
Well we came up empty handed, read mission statement on returning home & will have to try again, Following orders this time, less I get court marshalled.

Off target to start with and then nearly giving up when direct hit. Thanks
2Dudez and Team Rubik's Week Long "2008 : A Cache Odyssey" trip to South Australia.
We didn't have as much luck the first attempt on this one, as the guy parked in front of us in the twin-cab ute was having with his significant other.
Fairly confident that through the steamy windows our search went un-noticed.
A return trip this morning with no-one around has us signing the log in about a minute after getting out of the car.
Thanks again to the Rizzo's for the cache and to the Anonymous couple for the Amsterdam-Style spectacle.

We missed this one the night before for the reasons outlined in Deano's log. The guns were impressive, I enjoyed having a look about.

Found after a short search, not where I expected. Ahh.. night caching, can't beat it for no muggles.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
A lucky hit. I didn’t dial in the angle or get technical. Just a lucky hit in the end. Only problem was that the Pizza place was closed and I wanted a cool drink. SO I went to the deli instead. And yes, they had Pizza on their menu. Strange place.
Clear skies, TeamAstro. [^]
First of our night cache practice for Adelaide. This find took quite a bit longer than we thought. Cheers Gav [1360]
Found at about 10:30 pm out for a bit of night caching practice as a team. Good time to tackle this one as no sign of any muggles. Took a bit to find as wasn't hidden where expected. Good stuff! Many thanks.
10.30pm. Took a while in the dark, even with eight of us looking.

Found after Ferretboy had completed his athletics on the oval, but before the day was over and the hordes exited. A little searching required, but we got there.

Think we missed the meaning of the hint. Took quite a bit of looking to finally cotton on to this one. Finally did. TFTC
Couldnt find this one back in Feb.... which was a bit disappointing considering we live within 100mts of its location!!!
Self esteem now restored...!
Clever work The Rizzos... first time we have come up against this sort of cache!!

Back's getting kind of full too mate! There is another sheet in there, jammed down the bottom. couldn't extract it though!
Finally can put this one to rest! Cheers to the previous finders for placing this back in a reachable spot for my fat fingers!Had checked exact same spot many times previously. Log is totally full.
Cheers, Biggo

This was another cache that we had tried to find when we were last here in January. Looked everywhere then……everywhere but THERE!! We were fixated on the other feature at GZ. Bugger, don’t you hate that? .

Our third find on the hiding day of the CCC event. As we approached Team Hurtle was replacing the cache so the boys had little trouble finding it. A nice part of the town and the boys have had plenty of fun on the nearby playground.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Reckon this took us more than half hour - and shouldn't have done!
Thanks - great hide.

4th find of the 'hiding day' of the CCC Event.
A nice spot to stop, after walking 'downtown' Mt Gambier with the geokids. Let the geokid try to find, before Mr H found in it's sneaky hide. TNLNSL (Log full, an extra page has been added.

Found 23:00ish. 18th of 26 FFTD. Second night joining up with chizbeki and Team Hurtle for a night time caching frenzy. I'm sure we checked there last night, cache in hands in minutes. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Combined with Wacky's, `Scargoes, and cached after dinner. Had us hunting around for a while but determination paid off. Log book was full and didn't have any paper to replace so signed the back.
Cheers and thanks for the cache

Take two had us hunting with Cached, The Burtons and the 'scargoes at night - eventually laid my hand on it to the relief of all parties involved - we'd cached with Cached before, but not the others but it turns out we made a great team - TFTC

My 1st cache in SA - I'm now a "Bi". I signed the log in the second last spot available (about half way down). Thanks The Rizzos for the cache.
postiegirl06 and mugglecuz finally got to look for this after the place was muggled out at New Year. We only spent a few minutes before we were surrounded by tiny muggles and big ones too We will try again in June Cheers
My only DNF in 24 from 25 in Mt Gambier. I spent over an hour over 3 days here. Beaker was kind enough to tell me where to look but to no avail. Either I have misunderstood the instructions or it’s not there.
Found by edmil & maddie. It was a quick find for us and we needed no clues on this one. Thanks for the cache.
Thirteenth of twenty-four caches on my first day in Mt Gambier (urban day one). These objects seem to be popular hiding places for caches, but no matter how many you attempt, they don't get any easier. However, I employed some alternative thinking on this one and came up with the cache at 1915. Initially, all I found was a magnet, and I feared for the cache. However, I found it soon after. One of the magnets has come adrift. I reassembled the cache and replaced it, but it needs looking at. It's a micro, so I made no exchange. Thanks to The Rizzos for the cache. Cheers, dak.
This one had us searching the main feature in between the muggles in the park. Lace then located it in an unexpected location. The log was full so we added a slip of paper to the container with our log with room for about 30 more single line entries, but it is just a loose piece of note book.
Thanks Rizzos for the cache and the location,
Cheeers, Lead 'n Lace.

Will get there shortly and add a new log sheet..always like to keep the originals in as well..makes for some good reading..
A lovely sunny day, lots of people around. Even had a muggle reading the sign nearby but he didn't stop us from our mission. Soon had cache in hand. A new log book is needed as the current sheet is full. TFTC
Also I note that the log is almost full (there is room for one very small line of text left)
We stopped by here after a half day caching. Last one for the day. We looked for about 10 minutes, but couldn't find it. Having kids made looking less conspicuous! We will try again soon.
360. After 2 previous attempts we realised that a different tack was needed. So while I was figuring out where the projectile would land CoolAid came up with the find. TFTC in a nice green park.

We don't have good history with this type of hide on this particular piece of equipment ( a Melbourne cache took us 7 attempts} but luckily our luck had changed with this one and the cache was located after about a five minute search. We really enjoyed looking over this one as it had some features that we had not seen on others of this type.
Signed log and investigated the rest of the area before heading back to the car

Success was achieved on the second visit. Way sneaky.

pulled up, hoping to have the place to myself. raced out of the car, realised the GPS locked up, so had to restart it. as it was restarting, saw some movements around GZ, and then some bloke hopped up off the bench nearby and headed my way.
very quickly retreated back to the car, and decided that it was time to hide a cache, to get back at everyone from down this way!!!

Cache is up and running again. Cache container is smaller and more compact and has moved slightly to a more muggle proof place..still at the same co-ords.
Cache holder has gone missing, only left with logbook so am making another smaller cache holder . Will be online shortly.
This one has been muggled. Found cache container and log sitting on gun mount. It had been discovered by a wedding party and they signed the log book and left it out in the open. I will send message to rizzos as to where I rehid it.
Nice hide, didnt take that long, Made sure no muggles were around, well it was quite late at night. excellent cache and well presented.

Found by Mary & David at 0800. An early start after arriving from Adelaide last night. A few caches to try around town this morning before we head for home. Mary knows this park quite well, and we've seen caches similar to this too, so we had a bit of luck and found it fairly quickly. A great little cache. Our thanks to The Rizzos.
We were very stealthy with this one.
It's amazing what you can get away with when you are making out to video family.
Everyone else tries to avoid you so they wont be in the shot.

I wonder why we didn't find this one sooner, as this was in a very logical caching place. Team effort with player 1 and with rizzo standing by very entertained.

Well done to The Rizzo's for a great cache. We'd planned on putting one in exactly the same place some time ago but couldn't get a strong enough signal from above to actually place the cache. Found on a cool, clear morning in our lovely city. TNLNSL

Nice and pieceful this morning, not too many muggles around. Sat lock wasn't helping this morning but I'm really not the person to complain about that. Found in the end but during the hunt, Beakers bunch showed up, sat and laughed while I was looking. Gotta hate that.
