Cool easy find. Loved looking through the treasure on this lovely Saturday arvo. TFTC
We walked to the end of the beach & thought we'd check for geocaches. We spotted this one on the map & headed for it, hoping there was a pen inside.
We found it easily enough & it had a pen but alas it didn't work well. We signed the log as best we could.
This one gets a favourite point for the buried treasure.

Found rhe cache. The bucket was in the open and full of water. The contents including the log book were ruined. I will make a trip back in the next few weeks to replace it.
The lid was off this one but the log is dry!
I had some time off work and decided to get away for a couple of nights camping and caching. I love this part of the State so there was no hesitation about my destination for the adventure. This cache was one I stopped for along the way. Cheers and TFTC.
G’day there The Explorer, I was in this area today and found your cache Carbet Castle GCTA36. I added my name to the log book at 11:54 am on 25 November 2019. A huge thanks to you for placing this cache here for us (and others) to find!
This cache find brings our total find count to 11108. Woohoo!!

Trouvé, les fourmis y ont élu domicile. Elle a peut être besoin de maintenance. Merci
Big day back down the Forrest highway with the aim of picking up all the dots left on the map between Bunbury and the caravan park where we were staying ready for the WAGB Event this weekend.
Ended up missing out on the Capel area caches as we ran out of time, will get these in the next few days.
Yes a few days earlier however given the time commitment to the event we needed to arrive early to be able to find all the caches in the area.
Some lengthy walks today as we have cherry picked all the P+G’s on every other trip!
A great day out on the road and in the sun. TFTH TFTC

Great to pickup an old the explorer cache.
Hopefully one of the locals keeps an eye on this cache for you. It will need a new container by the start of next year as the current one is breaking down and there is a crack in the lid.
On the way to WAGB, so decided to go from cache to cache starting just before australind and heading to our accomodation in Busselton.
Some huge walks today, clearing the map as on previous visits we have cached out all of the park and grabs in the area.
A good day out with some thirty odd finds. Thanks to the local COs with their caches.

After leaving early in the morning to finish my maintenance run on my heading south caches I met up with B12 and C10 in bunbury to grab a few caches. Knowing they were a lot fitter then me I knew they would be good for the hill climbs lol....A few more green dots changed to smileys so happy with the caches we found. Thanks to the CO,S for placing these caches.
Another day in Bunbury, a few caches, lunch at AJ fish and chips, then back home. Tftc.
An easy find cache after a pleasant stroll from the "Cut". The warm weather, prickles and flies just added to the experience. The nearby dog cemetery (I reckon both graves are of dearly departed "someone's best friends") added an extra interest.
What a way to explore history.
Thankyou for the story.
Another point of interest about this cache is the presence of two graves. One is clearly the grave of a much loved pet. The other is more mysterious. Someone probably knows enough to add to your story.
The hide is well chosen but the prickles and flies at this time of year are quite irritating. I guess you can't have everything.

Had to find a cache today on my birthday, so came to this one. We decided to walk instead of 4x4 ing it. It was hard going, but coming back along the beach was lovely. TFTC
Finally got the 4x4 out and went for a drive to get this cache

After hunting down Iluvtrekking for the travel bug on there get rights a Nice stroll through the dunes tftc took dinosaur left a cars figure
I still have sand in my shoes from this one! What a beautiful area, can't wait to get back with the dogs. Dragged dimor and the geokids to this one, a long walk but worth it. Cache container is sundamaged and cracked and needs replacing as it is letting water in. TFTC
Found with the geofamily. It was a very long walk, but we found some bones on the way back and spent time guessing what kind of animal. dimor suggested kangaroo. TFTC
Spotted cache straight away, but getting to it was more difficult. Rach2 ended up snagged in a branch. TFTC
Bit of an afternoon walk with the youngest. Keeping her out of the house and out of trouble while her older sisters practice for a dancing performance. Nice walk. TFTC
Lovely walk along the beach only 8 people on a 1 km beach beautiful day easy find TFTC
Took the ski out through the cut to get this one. Caught a couple of nice waves with the dolphins, found the cache, paddled back watching the sunset. Great afternoon. TFTC:)
Been wanting to do this one for ages but needing 2 knee replacements and a buggered achillies it's been on the backburner until today.
Thought would kill two birds with one stone with this one. Used the excuse of taking dog to beach so I could also go 'hunting.' I thought how easy it was with me being only 90m from gz when I hopped out of the 4WD. Naturally that was before falling flat on my face twice in the dunes .
All ended good and I now have my 160th .
Took rhino left snake. Thanks

Took the 1km walk along the beach from the cut. This could be a drive by for those with a real 4WD, as I was surprised to have a muggle drive past as I was about to sign the log. After he went past I again dived into the bushes to sign the log to only have him come past in the opposite direction after I had replaced the cache.
TNLN Thanks 'The Explorer' for the cache

Thx The Explorer. Nice walk in the sun and got a sweat-up. Then one dark cloud drench me to the skin in about two minutes. Lots of Bob-tails in around the sand hills. The cache only had a tiny bit of moisture in the bottom.Log book was dry and fine.
Found it easily enough after the slog (walk) along the beach. The cache has a little water in it. Emptied out what I could.
Then slogged back Lucky it was a nice sunny day!

OMG. This was terrain 4 for me today. I rode out here and then had to push my bike 600m along the sand. Even close to the water, the sand was too soft to ride. Eventually climbed in to the correct bush to make a straightforward find. Then, the massive trek back to Bunbury by bike. Thanks for the cache The Explorer.
It was a very hot afternoon, so come early evening we walked the 1.1kms to this one, it was great walking in the water. On the way back we watched the dolphins, Thanks for taking us here The Explorer TFTC

Was dubious as to whether we would find this one after reading the logs. Was getting late and the wind had picked up, making the trek down the beach through the soft sand to the cache quite challenging on its own. At GZ, we managed to startle a couple of rabbits, and hoped that they were all we would find in the shrubbery, as had seen evidence of slithery critters nearby. Found the cache eventually, contents very wet still. Dried it out as best we could, but TNLN. Thanks for sharing the story of the Carbet Castle with us and for bringing us here.

Quite a nice walk on a warmish day, took the beach route and avoided the sandhills. Found Boof's lonely grave nearby, then the area of the ship's grave then found the cache which wasn't too hard to spot. Emptied out the water although the cache book in the bag is still dry. Shame about the ship being under all that sand. Good history lesson. TNLN TFTC
Didn't look for very long but after reading the last few logs... this one may not even be there anymore??
Thanks for the cache! Found it full of water, log book thankfully still dry. Emptied water out, and took out a business card type thing which was covered in mold and unreadable (I'm actually allergic to mold), so figured it would be a good idea to remove. Maybe container isn't sealing right?
Enjoyed the cache though, gave us a chance to introduce our new puppy to the beach for the first time!

The Cache had been emptied out and its contents scattered through the bushes, the log book is soaked through and needs replacing.
A nice starter Cache & got the beast into 4H. It must be getting tricky for out of towners to navigate the over the top, circuitous and easily bypassable port security measures. Fly 4 got the find and open privileges. Fly 3, 4 & 5 exchanged treasures.

Left Mrs Blingg in the carpark at "The Cut" and ran the 2.5km return getting back to the geoute beating the rain by less than a minute
Amazed at the number of sponges washed up on the beach there must have been thousands of them

Found This Cache fairly easily.. Fair hike though.... all the old port roads have been blocked off so parking at turkey point car park and walking the distance is the only way... unless you have a boat that can take you across the bay.
Took the coastal drive then walked over the dunes. Good to discover a bit of history of Bunbury
This one worked up a sweat. Did the walk in some soft sand but also walked a lot of the way on the hard sand. Sea so flat people were out water skiing. cache found after a short search. TNLN. thanks The Explorer
WanderingAus wandered by on day six of a seven day meander through the Wheatbelt, Southwest and Great Southern regions.
I think the Terrain rating is vastly understated at 1.5. I trudged 850 metres over heavy sand before making an easy GAFF 1 find at 3:10 PM. I then trudged 850 metres over heavy sand back to the van. I believe it warrants at least 2.5 - I reserve 1.5 for an easy walk barely out of wheelchair access.
My find No 1220 and 64th of 77 for the trip, TNLNSL, dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing it back again.
*Overall Experience: 2*

Long hike from the cut. Very pleasant in the evening. Took geo grandson on his introductory search. Lots of scratches.
Thanks for the cache - lid deteriorating. TNLN.

The lid of the cache has become brittle and has cracked slightly. We didn't have a plastic bag to put the whole box in so could not do any repairs.
Parked up by the Cut and had an easy pleasant walk along the beach to reach this one. Only have to go about 60m over the low dunes and the cache was reasonably easy to find. Geodog got to have a swim as the beach is dog friendly.
