After going missing three times i've decided to remove this cache. The hedge which hid it has been removed.

24-Nov-07
The worker at this site raised the difficulty somewhat. Left the vintage fellow and took a click lock. Had to spend quite a while watching the info board.

21-Oct-07
Saw this cache stright away but could not get to it as there were 3 busses full of muggles, so off to do the tourist bit we headed. When we came out the place was bear so logged the cache and replaced where found.

Thanks Beaker's Bunch

Fantastically presented information centre! Whilst visiting from Tassie, we retrieved all the info we needed, but alas, we could not find the cache! Sad

Went back in the light of day just before leaving Mt Gambier for the trip to Adelaide. Much easier with a bit of light!

Was dark by the time we arrived. Niece has said she will email us if she finds it in day light hours.
We are under orders to spend an extra few days down here next time so we can take them geocaching again!

A great place for all visitors to start their caching journey in the Mount. Thanks

Nice easy find for BiggoBig Grin
Had been here before in the dark without a torch, and missed it that time. spotted easily today though. 2 seconds to extract, 5 minutes to replaceTwisted Put it back, but it decided to 'roll' further down!Twisted had to get on hands and knees with bum in the air to retrieve and replace again!
Got there in the end!Big Grin
Cheers Beaker.

Once again we needed to read the logs before taking us to the right spot. Not too many muggles thanks for the hide.
TNLN[xx(]from the event weekend

Took us a while, but we found it. Now, out to the final event dinner! The Lady Nelson tranported my rellies from Norfolk Island to Hobart when they evacuated Norfolk in the early 1800's - first settlement. Thomas Kidner was on the "Alexander" in the first fleet.

10-Jun-07
Found at 18:30 with Cached & Burton's before returning to CCC HQ for dinner, prizes & quiz. Had a us looking around a bit but was where it should be, much easier to do at night with no Muggles in sight! TNLNSL TFTC Cheers 'scargoes (PF&M)

Teamed up with the Wackys to finally put this one to bed. Gail did the honours on the find, but I was just happy to finally stamp the $%#@ thing and cross it off my list Wink Been looking for this one for ages. Cheers Beaker

Took 3 nights of attempts to get this one. Looking in the correct spot every time. No idea why it took so long.Red Face

10-Jun-07
A relatively easy find, the third time - are you sure you didn't just take it away to trick us all for a while?? The brat boys tried first, then we all tried, then we finally found it in the company of Nibs and Auzee, and yet each time we were looking at the same spot - TFTC (and scratches) Big Grin

Found 22:45ish. 17th of 26 FFTD. Second night joining up with chizbeki and Team Hurtle for a night time caching frenzySmile. Second time here in the last 24 hours, this time found, had to pretend to be throwing up near-by to GZ while returning the cache as passing muggles sauntered by. TNLNSL. TFTC.

2nd of the night and 2nd attempt for the weekend at this one too, had tried the previous night at just before midnight, turns out that is when the buses arrive in Sad and the place is swarming with people. Mr E retrieved the cache and has the battle scar to prove it [B)]. TNLN TFTC

Had to come back and try this one after its predecessor went missing in action. Postiegirl found it today. Had to stand in front of her as she put the cache back and about 10 muggles were approaching.

This is a muggle prone area at all times!

09-Jun-07
Found by Mary & David, in company with GeoJo, at about 2115. Seemed like a good idea to do a cache on our way back to our motel after the CCC Event pub dinner. Oops, no GPSr, as ours was in quarantine with all the others for uploading the Event waypoints overnight. No problem, though, as we found Ian & Penny and Beaker already here. Mary asked for a birthday clue, and there it was! TNLN. Our thanks again to Beaker's Bunch for another great cache in this wonderful place.

An easy find by PG actually - considering the amount of people including cachers located around the vicinity Big Grin

Seems the cache wasn't as easy a find as expected! Heard from several teams that it was MIA, so pleased to stop by after the group dinner to meet up with Beaker and Ian & Penny. Beaker retrieved the cache for us as a birthday present for maccaMum. TFTC!

Out with chizbeki for a night time caching frenzy, our first night in Mt Gambier.
5th of 6(ish) DNF's for the night Sad. Who would think that 2 bus loads of muggles would be arriving at 23:45....NOT us. I guess this should be a CNS and not a DNF Smile.

27-May-07
Stayed a while but no luck, people and buses coming and going. We will try again June long weekend.Smile

23-May-07
you should put something in the cache notes about the $75,000 bus shelter that the council built here.

Cache replaced just in time for the CCC.
Hopefully it will last a lot longer than the previous two instalments. Please try not to get seen retrieving the cache and make sure it is well hidden before you leave.
Thanks

With so many cachers in town for the June Long W/end, any chance this will be up and running? Big Grin

That would explain why we couldn't find it after two visits and a combined search time of about 30 min Red Face

I think you should bring in one of your nano caches into play for this one...everyone will thank you for it..hahaha

Second DNF on my first day in Mt Gambier (urban day one) in company with Beaker's Bunch. I had a half-hearted attempt at this one earlier in the day, but there were too many muggles around to allow a proper search. So I came back later in he night. I am always loathe to say that a cache is missing just because I can't find it. As soon as you say that, someone (usually a newbie) comes along the next day and finds it. However, this time I had the cache owner with me, and we confirmed that it has definitely walked. Sad

06-Jan-07
Bloody muggles again. Will get a new container and move the coords to somewhere else around the immediate area in the very near future. This time it won't be found so easily.
Grrrrr......

24-Dec-06
6:59 pm - Awaiting dinner to be cooked, we dropped by and found the cache with no problems. The area was almost deserted. I could not log the find in the log as both my pens stopped working! Merry XMAS!

22-Dec-06
I was surprised that this was still here considering the area, although I was baffled. TFTC

22-Dec-06
McPhan found this one easily (had a bit of GPSr trouble tho) TFTC.

352. My GPSr was not giving any sensible information, which I will use as an excuse for missing several others in SA. ( I don't think it got a working visa for interstate.) However I reread the description and went to an easy place and there it was. Amazed it's survived if I can find it. TFTC.

12-Dec-06
first find by pamir52 team (R&T) best to look for this in the evening not so many people about

09-Dec-06
No muggles around after the sun goes down, filled in the log and off to the pub for a meal.

Found well after dark. No muggles at that time. Needs a couple of tools to do the retrieval.

31-Aug-06
It was all hands on deck as myself,Udderchaos and setsujoku tried a few methods to extract the cache but we resorted to the primitave method of 2 screwdrivers..
Finally got this one and had fun knowing we were probably being laughed at somewhere close!!!
Thanks Beakers

31-Aug-06
Rizzo and andrew stood back and watched me try to get this one.
We retreated back to the car to grab some tools, before they stood back and watched me try again.

Cache is up and running again. Cache location has moved slightly but would be less than 4 metres away from old location. New location is definitely easier to find. If you were to look around the big new sign you'd be doing pretty well I'd imagine...

06-May-06
Unfortunately there seems to be a lot of work going on around the cache. The hiding spot is being remodelled substantially meaning that the cache will likely be off line for a while yet. I'll replace the cache as soon as I can however I'm not sure how long the works will go for.

22-Apr-06
Tried this one on the way out of Mt Gambier. We had a quick look and I thought we were searching in the right area, but no cache. With time running short (we were already behind time to make Adelaide before dark) we had to abandon the search.

19-Apr-06
Attempted at about 23:00 but no luck.

easy find, as cache was completly exposed. loged visit and rehid using the small piece of wood that i ashumed had fallen.

Ni found it before me.

18-Feb-06
found it. We made this one way harder than it was...
1st attempt was driving past without gps and though hmmm how hard can it be... Well turns out we where spot on, but took us another 2 goes to find it... L come up with the goods.. TFTH

17-Feb-06
Must thank Tiges for his advice on this one but when I found the cache all things became clear. Muggle central so I tried to blend in as a tourist muggle observing roses. The things we got to do hey!

16-Feb-06
This was our first night find, and took us about 30 mins to find (10 mins to confirm exact GZ). Geokid loved the interactive screens that diverted his attention whilst the serious search was on. Found torch to be overkill, as this may only distract attention of passing muggles. Thanks BB for the hunt.

11-Feb-06
I don't know how long this cache had been published for but it couldn't have been long. I am guessing 10 mins.
The cache took a little while I think mainly cause it was dark but still a well hidden cache. Not sure about during the day but I think the difficulty rating could be a little higher.
Thanks BB
