Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there we decided wed drive in the Lake Ohau area & check out some of the local, to here, caches Mrs McMike2012 had scouted out the Parsons Hill track, which went up the side of the hill, joining with a section of the A2O Bike Trail, which she decided wed walk, while finding the caches on the way this turned out to be, more-or-less, a quick and easy find, logbook signed & cache was returned as found glad to see there are still some of these old caches still around dropped off the Envy Duck TB while here were also pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:L a TB:LS this was #6,551 for us!Freedom camped further down the road by the lake and just driving to see where the road goes. Epic road trip adventure. Thank you x
Only time for this cache at the parking area at the start of the track while we take a drive towards the head of the lake. A quick find then we walked across the road to have a closer look at the lake. TFTC.

A good quick find on a very wet morning. Some water in the cache container that we emptied out. Log was dry. TFTC

Camping at Lake Middleton for a couple days with the family (and friends). Not a lot of time for caching, just one or two where I can. Came up here to get a picture looking back at Mt Ben Ohau which we climbed yesterday. Nice quick find and sign one a gro0up of walkers set out. Thanks.
Day 3 riding the Alps 2 Ocean cycle trail from Twizel to Omarama (38km) on a stunning Summers day. This was a nice quick stop before getting back on our bikes and heading down the trail. TFTC
In the late afternoon I hopped on my bike and biked on over to look for some more caches and check out the area. I should have had some bug repellant on me as the sandflies sure were swarming around GZ. TFTC.

Found a very camouflaged gecko under the cache he wasn’t pleased to have his house removed but all back in place now.
We were heading to Mt Cook for a wee break and of course were caching throughout the area.
We had an awesome time with some brilliant weather apart from only one day where it didn't play ball. Great to see so many awesome caches throughout the area.

Parked here to go for a ride to get the caches on the A2O. Realised this was not the bike entrance so decided to go for a quick walk to grab these caches. I should read the descriptions before I arrive to collect the caches rather than just looking at the map.

Really windy today with spray been whipped off the lake and trees blocking the road just past the lodge. A few spots of rain. Good to find a cache that has lasted and is of a reasonable size. Thanks Bitsprayer.

A quick grab on our way to the ski road turn off. Could have saved quite a few km’s if the track had gone up here. Visited Freehold bridge an hour later.

After deciding to stay at Lake Ohau lodge last night we are today riding part of the A20 cycle trail up to 900m , down to the old woolshed for lunch and return to the lodge for a second night
Weather is perfect for biking and also taking in the sights.

The sign's been taken away but it's still at the base of the tree. I used logic, and Nav, and there it was.

New Zealand we are back again.
Hoping to find some caches at secret or interesting locations we are with the motorhome on the road.
Today we do this small cache trail. This one was totally wet, so we only could photo-log.

This was our first one today. We started our little hiking and caching tour at the car park.
The cache is in a good condition.

We turned into the car park and there was another car there. From the car, I could see the telltale sign of the cache. An easy find.
On a very windy day this area was surprisingly very sheltered. Found it easily. Nice little patch of native forest. TFTC
Found it! Sign now in a different place but u can tell where it used to be..! Cache is wet and soggy.
Everywhere along here has stunning views. Nearly at our accommodation for the night. Thanks for the cache bitsprayer.
