I think the box is fine - it seemed to seal ok. I suspect that it was muggled. The logbook will need replacing.

Just picked it up on workers day - that locked gate is new - they are in for a fright tomorrow when I explain section 35 of the local bodies act to them Big Grin

Found it easily, because it was spread over about a square meter. Couldn't write in the log because it was soaking in a puddle - I hope I can still claim the find.

I emptied out the water, and dried it as best I could. The cache still needs maintenance.

Log bag was ripped, so we replaced it and also added some silica gel.[:x]

Really great place for a cache! We would never have known that path if it hadn't been for the cache.

Well hidden too!

A pleasant walk on a very hot day. But there were muggles encamped only 20metres away!! Still, there was enough cover among the trees to get the log signed in secret. No swaps, thanks and cheers from Grandalf(1015)

Nice walk to one of those hidden spots of interest that you that you'd never think visiting if it weren't for geocaching. Relatively easy find for Greenblat jnr. Cache was somewhat damp although logbook dry so wiped it out & let the conents sun for a bit to dry.

Parked at the end of the gravel road, and decided it was better to walk the remaining 350m, as we didn’t fancy taking our caching mobile through the large potholes and ruts. Quick find, cache well guarded by some prickly characters.
Contents dry.

Easy but muddy walk to cache. Suspect it may have been doandhopers I passed on the track, log indicates they were only 25 minutes ahead of me. Would certainly been keen on exploring the rest of the road if I had the bike with me, looks interesting.
TNLN, many thanks.

Number 8. Google map lead us to exactly the right spot. (Almost) muggled by a lady and three labradors, hence the short note.
Took two marbles,(lost 1 straight away due to dogs) left two sheets of stickers.
This was attempt number 2. We weren't sure of our position last time, glad to have found it this time round. walked on a bit,(not even 4x4 country)... got very muddy.

Wow.... wouldn't like to take a car down this track!!! getting to the cache was the hardest part.... watch out for all sorts of prickly things!!!!

Found with BFR was the last and 7th cache for the afternoon of caching.
A nice area, and walk. Cache was located without too much trouble.
Found the co-ords was out by about 18m. My co-ords above.
Only 2 other people out walking their dogs.
Cheers

Unfortunately my GPS was about 12m off the actual cache location due to reception not being great there. I ended up halfway up the hill searching fruitlessly in the gorse/scrub/pongas, etc - way too far off-track. You definitely do not need to get over any fences to access this cache!!!
I had left the cache clue in the car, and was about to give up when I noticed the cache resting place.
As others have said, what a nice place to go for an evening walk with the family, and we would probably never have found this area on our own.
- yellow keyring.
+ sheet of orange stickers and two coloured metal clips.

An easy find but again in an area we would never have visited if it wasn't for geocaching. Quite a few muggles around.
Out - nothing
In - mini tennis ball

An easy find. A few mugles swimming in the river, but they were not a problem. A great walk.

Out for a bit of an explore, and decided to take a diversion and to reaquaint myself with a river I have kayaked in the past.

It was a very hot day, and half of south auckland were partying in the river pools.

That didn't deter GC and AC who sprinted on ahead while KC and JC followed more sedately.

The girls got to ground zero and ID'd the cache site, but couldnt work out how to get there. They decided to despatch JC as he was the most dispensible, and after a bit of scrabbling through gorse, there it was, in almost plain sight.

The cache recieved GC claimed the honour as she told me where it was!

In Smiley, out Cow Finger puppet

Cache was in good condition, and I replaced it in the same place, but a little less visible.

Thanks for the cache.

Getting late, muddy track and river but still honed in on the cache. Loved the location. Got a fright when the quarry set off a blast and got chased by the farmers dog, but it was more bark than bite! TFTC

Tried to navigate here using a sketchy printed Garmin map and then discovered I needed to be on a different road altogether. Found quickly when on the right trail. TFTC

A bit of a tip now. Was a lots better when last camped here as a Scout 25 years ago before forest went in and cows in the field next door.

I was getting dodgy reception for most of the track, but lucky spurted some life very close to GZ. It would be interesting to do the trip from Hunua Falls one day. TNLNSL.

Another local spot for us that we didn't know existed. Bit muddy but 2 year old very excited and we found the treasure!

Once there, an easy find, but saw a lot more of the district trying to find the right road.

Lovely scenic spot this one and well worth the visit. Would have had a swim in the waterhole but it was getting late and had to get the kids back home to bed. Had a good feed of blackberries on the way out. TNLN. Thanks.

Last of three FTF's today.Been here before like the other two places. But the last time I didn't find the cache.Back then you could drive right to the cache site. Now there are rocks blocking the way.But it's only a 200 metre walk from there.
