Logs
Went looking for this cache (without reading most recent logs - duh!), but I am sure we found the spot and had a lovely exploring walk with the kids along the way.
One other thought on the loss of this one. About eight weeks ago the nearby Turitea stream had a major flood, bursting its banks completely. To me it seemed there was evidence the water had got right up around the cache site, and maybe it simply floated away and down to the sea...a nicer end for it than a muggeling. TFTC, we really enjoyed the walk.

All good things come to an end!
The latest report from DNF cacher Kennythekiwi leads me to believe that this one has been muggled [again!].
As I'm now no longer a Palmerston North resident, and making a check visit is likely to be a matter of months away, I'll sadly say farewell to this one. It was my first cache hide. It's a great area to visit and I've enjoyed the journey with this one.

A lovely spot in a very picturesque university.

Lucky successful find as on approach it was very visible. First thought was it had been muggled but after inspecting cache found it all intact. Cache was very wet and had to tip water out from bottom of container so might need to be inactive for a couple of days to be dried out. Log book was damp but dry enough to place log. Left a TB in a snap lock bag to keep dry. TFTC.
Awesome cache, took out some first timers and they had fun!!! And got people hooked!!
Closer to path than first thought but made us search wich is good no fun if theres no searching!
this is quite obvious....10 metres back in the bush would be more discrete...we ran into dogey guys here which was weird....not uni students either!!!! Watch out for the class bottles...a good mum in law find!
#355. Nice walk to the cache. I found it a tad exposed and attempted to hide it a little better. I suspect the leaf litter on top may have just blown away to expose the cache underneath, SL, TFTC, +gc
Looked for this one yesterday but no joy. Found it without too much trouble today after reading some of the other postings. either way it is all good. Just a little top off to an already good day. I walked the Sledge track which is not too far away... Nice 6hr hike!
Oh ... Broke protocol and took the small light but left nothing.(had nothing with me) Used it to look for Karaka Grove cache as it said a flashlight was required. Found that cache and left the light there. Hope no one minds.
Thanks for the cache.

The co-ordinates for this one were a bit off, but the clue was spot on so it was easy to find. The new spot is well hidden from muggles - we had some go past with a dog and they had no idea we were there. Took BMW badge, left hair clip.
Did this one with griffiti buma we palked in the rong place, turned into a bit of a long walk!! TNLNSL
lovely walk... easy find we have taken travel bug 4h1qrb and it will be back in circ`ulation soon.
Found it, first Geocache for the North Island, up from Southland for a contact course at Massey.
Found it in good condition and hidden well (by flooding debris). Took a detour to this while completing the University multi. TFTC
Found as part of my three week caching trip from Wellington to Auckland - # 256. Thanks.
Cache Was the victim of flooding. It had been "pushed" to lay on top of a lot of branches/twigs and was fully exposed. It also had been full of water. but the log book in the plastic remained dry! I sort of dried it and the objects and placed them in a new large sealable plastic bag along with the sealed, plastic bag containing the log book.I re hid it where I think it may have been.-covered with branches etc but unsure if in correct place.
Found it today but it was uncovered. victim of the flooding in the area. The container was full of water but log in plastic bag was dry! Dried out what i could , placed all articles in a large plastic bag and sealed that. Grabbed the TB 4H1QRB left BMW badge.

Went loopy trying to locate this one Must have misinterpreted the code! must have been very close.will try another day
My first night find-no muggles. Very pretty area. Signed log took gc as I'm going bact to oz today.
Turns out we were walking right over it the other day when we visited. Great hiding spot and perfect colour to paint the box so it wont be muggled, it sure had us looking. The dog loved the walk and swim in the the stream near by.
walked around in circles looked everywhere but no luck. Came home to check the clue and will go back for a more detailed search.
Responding to the 'cache is wet' log. Dried contents out, replaced log book and rehidden. All in order again.
Another easy find with dog in toe. One day I'll get around to training the dog to sniff out systema containers much quicker than the GPS but not as cheap. Found cache full of water which proceded to get me and my electronics abit on the wet side. Needs a pencil rather than pen so one can fill out the log when it is a tad wet. Added a glo in the dark dino. I think the duck has a permanent home in the cache.
Thought this was going to take ages to do, but managed to find a spot that I could park the car without too much hassles, and also it wasn’t too far from the cache, first time that I have being down this road and a great spot to get some great views of Massey University, arrived at GZ, a few muggles walking pass but no-one taking much interest, found cache pretty quickly, decided that it was a good spot to drop off Sduck's Kid's Geocoin #2 for a bit off an education, TFTC TNSL (995)
Fantastic walk. It even had a bridge to play pooh-sticks on. Geocaches or not, we'll be back for after work walks. SL TFTC

Had a quick look for this with Gumpy boy but we did not find. Will head back for a good look when we have more time.
Off we set with our new GPS never before used to locate a geocache. We found the location easily and after a short search Cleo found it serendipitously. The container was a bit damp inside so Cleo dried it with her hanky. Took funny man and left a bird badge. Purrr says Possum with a big smile on his face.
A pleasant little park on the edge of Massey University - found by N with a little prodding around. Left Irish coin. Dipped Bodley-bug after his short visit to Massey Library.

Muggles galore in this area. Needed super stealth mode...20-30 people went past as I was hiding amongst the vegetation trying to fill in the logbook. A tricky little hide but eventually located it. Put in a little toy man...took out a yellow lanyard. TFTC.
A very well hidden cache. Took me about 15 minutes searching to find. You might say it was starting to drive me loopy . TNLN SL TFTC

Quick to GZ from my carpark but then a 10min search to find the cache. Sooo cold this frosty winter morning that I nearly gave up. Finally after standing on it several times I had it in hand. In Taz toy out Superhero.
Found with Barri-Ster & Hugo the dog. Had real problems getting accurate GPS reading, but found with the hint. Out medal in safety pins TFTC
Easy find but trouble putting it back without being seen.

It took a little bit of a search for me to find this one. It seems to be in a good spot so hopefully it won't need to be moved again. TFTC.
Found this the second time round. Last time it had been muggled. Really lovely walk. We nearly got caught by a 'class trip'. We had to hide behind trees until they passed by.

Looks as if something's amiss here. Will need to do a site check soonest and advise. In the meanwhile cache is disabled.

Couldn't find it. Thought we had a good look around. Ran out of time. Will try again.
One of many finds on a great day out - a bit scary, because we had to breach security a bit (the walkway was actually closed)... TFTC!
Ended up doing these two caches together. Jogged in and got wet and muddy, and a little rained on. Oh well. Cheers Gav [2443]
Didn't find on the first attempt - but that was with no GPS.
Commandeered a GPS found it with a bit of searching.

12:35 FTF in the new position. (My 2nd FTF)
Cold & Wet. Quite a maze of tracks. Managed to find a few false leads and dead ends but got there in the end. Enjoyed the challenge. Cache was well-concealed too.
out: FTF prize (thanks for the coffee) and "My Lord My Lady Geocache License" (moving that on) In: Nil SL TFTC.

Visited this site today. Cache container present and hidden OK, but entire contents gone and most of the camo paint removed from the container's exterior. Relocating a short distance away to a new hide and a much smaller container.

Disappointing to find lid off and nothing in the container. There are some spoilers around!
Found this one while doing the gazebo one but has obviously been attacked by muggles the container was there but had no contents in it.

Apparently some mischief afoot, the Turtle will need to be investigating so it would seem. In the meantime I'll disable the listing and report back soonest.
Nice find whilst en route to Massey University for a meeting. Thanks for the detour!
First for the day, parked in a no parking area in the varsity and made the dash and grab, nice wee walk, came back later for the other one further down the track, thanks for the placement.
Cheers
