It must be low tide at the gene pool.

It's not worth replacing this now that the green slimy mob know its location.

Went to take a different bunch of Geokids to Castlereagh Revisited today (was there on 4 Oct) and instead of finding a Cache there was a pice of laminated paper that said "This cache has been officially muggled by the Green Grimy muggle Squad. Keeping bushland and Parks free from plastic ammo tins and man made rubbish that YOU leave. Thanks for the Cache."
The fact that their laminated paper is in fact man made plastic rubbish that they left in bushland seems lost on these twits.
Very disappointing as I was introducing one of my 12 year old's friends to Geocaching. Twisted

I have contacted Riblit by e-mail.

Very well thought out Cache. Love the ones with historical significance. Loved exploring the cemetary, a couple of First Fleet graves too.

30-Sep-07
Last cache for the day - found it around 5:30.
Wandered the cemetery before setting about to find it and then watched Spike torment the abundant Ant Lions in the area before leaving.

Unfortunately left the travel bug in the car so we didn't drop it off at this one.

Found with Spike87, Inbilla, DomShadow & his g/f.

Third Cache of the day found it at 12pm.........was saying to Mr Packo that if I lived nearby I would get a period costume and wait for people to enter and glide about behind the trees and graves...you could have alot of fun with this. was very eerie nice history. Thanks for the cache. Took BUG (couldnt find a name on it. Left a ring.

20-Jun-07
A quick visit to drop of Ray Ray TB. The cache should stay dry as long as the lid works.

18-Jun-07
This was a nice stroll down an old track after a short walk through the cemetary. Misty afternoon here and some light rain made it feel a little spooky but enjoyable all the same. The cache is in good nick though the log book bag is split. I usually replace these when I find them but this time I was fresh out sorry Riblet. Would not worry about it as the cache contents was quite dry. Took the coin and Kiwi Country TB, no swaps today thanks for the cache SL

13-Jun-07
Dropped in a TB.

27-Apr-07
This was quite a suprise. I had no idea that an historic cemetery was in that area and was pleased to find it. There are first-fleeters buried there. As strange as it may sound, I like old cemeteries, and have friends that do so also, so I will pass the location on. Found the cache without any trouble. No swaps, but I did replace the torn plastic bag holding the log book. That bag I used was itself slightly damaged, but much better than the other one. Thanks Riblit.

Second find for the day - left Geocoin, took a bouncy ball Smile

Wow, what an interesting area. Never would have stumbled across it. Thanks also for the parking waypoint. My first thought was that those gates were to private property.
Oh, and I must say that they certainly pack 'em, rack 'em and stack 'em much tighter these days.
TFTC
Left an Aussie Keyring and grabbed a Geo coin.

Now, off to find the original Castlereagh

28-Jan-07
I have been intending to find the original Castlereagh cache for some time but had not been out this way with a GPS. Finally made the trip out here. When I arrived two car loads of teenagers turned up. I left them to do their thing, whatever that was, and when they left I headed off to GZ. Walking out to the cache was quick. Cache was in good condition (although the snap lock bag needs replacing).

Left a carabiner keyring and the Elland Road geocoin. I read a log that the original Castlereagh cache (GCF4EA) had been found. I just had to see for myself if was legit, so off I went to see.

** Note: GCF4EA Castlereagh is still there, alive and well. See photos for proof. **

[Found at 1700 hrs, Nice walk] although i recommend that going through the cemetary is not the answer.
[Took Phone cord and adapter]
[Left shark toy]

11-Jan-07
nicely hidden. fun walk rambling threw the scrub, this one is very fun Smile

11-Jan-07
Found by Bushfire- Red Ant.I would advise all to use the parking co-ords and not by road as I ended up in a no through road and the next one took me straight to the entrance. Nice short walk in the very dry bush, cache has lots of goodies NI_NO Thanks Rablit for the cache.

15:05 Hrs
An easy find after a short walk. The last finder appears to have been a muggle, as they left a log entry and a bottle top. The cache appears to be O.K.
It seems that I have learned quite a bit about the developing colony over the past few weeks by visiting your caches.

TNLN.
Dropped off “Wildlife Muggles†Geocoin.

Thanks for another history lesson Riblit.

01-Oct-06
We were in Windsor for a wedding, and didn't really have a lot of spare time... But there's always just enough spare time to sneak in a cache or two on the way. This one could be a little scary at night, but was nice and straight forward during the day. TN, left Lego TB. - Tankengine (from ACT...)
Thanks for the cache Riblit!

01-Oct-06

Took Lego TB (#542620), which had only just been placed there the same day, by tankengine who brought the little traveller up from Victoria.

Walked pretty much straight up to this one, and it was quickly located and logged. TNLN.

15-Jul-06
On a wet and miserable day we headed to the mountains picnic event stopping in here as a detour. It didnt start too well cause as soon as I openned the back door out fell the thermos on the ground, the familiar tickle said it all. Off to an area I'd been before where I found the cache quickly. Took the TB, left nothing. Thanks Riblit for bringing us back here again.

11-Jun-06
Supernay and I tried to find this one, or should I say its predecessor, a few months ago. We returned to find this version without any problems. The graveyard nearby is quite interesting, with a number of tombstones restored by descendents. TNLN. Thanks for the cache.

10-Jun-06
Followed the highway right to the cache...shows we are creatures of habit and always take the shortest, most direct path from the trails!

04-Jun-06
Reached this cache after the sun had gone down - 3rd for the day. Had Timmeh and the GeoDogs Shandy and Pepper.

So it was a brisk walk through the burial ground and then to the spot.

Luckily I had a torch and the find was easy.

Signed the log. Took nothing. Left a blue eraser.

Would like very much to come back to the site in the daytime.

Third for the morning without The Pres (left him in Dubbo, hehehe). Nice walk in through a familiar area. Found the cache resting neatly in it's litte hide, signed log etc, etc. I fogot to grab my swaps bag on the way out the door, so I didn't make any exchanges.

Thanx Riblit for another interesing and enjoyable cache.

Thanks, Riblit

Thanks Riblit, once again for the history lesson, it’s great to see people take an interest in our past. It’s fascinating reading some of these head stones and how far they date back. Great cache.

We had done the previous cache is this area and were sad to see it had disappeared.
When we saw that another cache had been placed, we just had to come back for another look around.
Some of the history in the cemetary is simply amazing.

If only we'd found the easy route on the way in! I'm still extracting bits of vine from my clothing. Sad

Found the cache with no trouble at all.

Took - Fish eraser (anyone need some fish rubbed out?)
Left - Fuzzball cat toy.

Thanks for bringing us back to this very interesting place!

17-Apr-06
5th cache for the day. Had to come find the original Castlereagh replacement. A very interesting old graveyard. TNLN. Cheers!

09-Apr-06
This was the 5th cache for the easybeats tour, we have been here before for the last cache and looked forward to finding this one.
We took the most direct route to the cache only to find a much easier way to return(not so many strangler vine things!
Found the cache easy and was just replacing it as muggle were heard, they sore nothing and keep walking so all is good.
Mrs R thought the grave were interesting as she likes our history! It's a real shame vandals have found this area over time, but this is life.Thanx for bringing us back to this great piece of history!

06-Apr-06
This was a nice easy find after a few failed attempts at the orginal castlereagh. Took nothing. Left mask, whistle, keyring, and fish rubber.

03-Apr-06
Thankyou Mr Riblit after the first trip to this graveyard i returned to copy down some names and look up some history and , thankyou, i was richely rewarded. so a trip out here again was well worth the effort. actually no effort almost on the way home.

Love your work Riblit. A farmilar piece of bush...

Once again I have been slack, I could have had a Virgin find on this, but I didn't feel like going out in the dark... so I waited to give peace a chance... sorry, wrong medication today, other people a chance.

Dropped in on my way to work, I leave home early enough everyday, why not knock over the odd cache.....

Easy find and a history lesson to boot. A must if you're in to old graveyards. TN LN

22-Mar-06
First test of the latest knee operation with this one - it survived. Like all of the other Riblit caches this one is steeped in history which is far more appreciated than the "urban micro stuck on the back of a sign". Co-ords spot on and the cache is in good order.

TNLN. Thanks for another good one, Riblit.

20-Mar-06
Nice easy find, very interesting graveyard, took Kooka the travel bug to help himon his way, left nothing.

Easy find and another excuse to come back and investigate the very old cemetery.

Easy find, left a TB.

Cheers

08-Mar-06
Nipped out at lunch time and grabbed this. I enjoyed doing the first version in my early caching days, but I think I enjoyed this one even more. If I had more time, I would have explored further down the track. It's an interesting piece of history Riblit.
TNLN.
Thanks.
