Logs
Found with Gummi_Venus. I targeted this one on the way back from Geraldine, as it fills a hole in my date grid. After a bit of a drive, rescuing a cute little hedgehog, and clambering up the embankment, I spotted. This poor cache is in a pitiful state but still intact. It could do with some maintenance.
Out for a bit of an adventure with kimbathelion and her muggle husband. Unfortunately log very wet. Tftc
Out with a friend & muggle husband so trying to be quick but got there eventually. Log wet & I only had my pen so couldn't replace the log. Tftc
The cache was to easy to access, however, the log is soaking wet, (too wet to sign) see photo, maintenance suggested; TFTC
I was heading to Temuka for the weekend, good opportunity to find a few along the way. Not sure how to come from the river side, I followed the road that looked the closest then approached from there. I took a long time to find it, just to discover that it has become part of the tree, nicely nested in it, it was quite difficult to remove! Cache in poor condition, could use a new logbook in a bag if the next finder reads this before heading out! TFTC!!
#15162. Tried walking down the river from the bridge, but didn't want to get wet feet so gave that up. Drove down the road, and found an obvious way to get to the river bed not too far from the cache. Got to GZ OK from there, but it turned out to be easier to just park next to GZ and walk from the road (so went back that way). TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on a Waitangi Day excursion to mid Canterbury, concentrating on the area between SH1 and the Rangitata and Ashburton rivers.
Good to get this old cache today. We found the river access from the bridge a tad more challenging than the terrain rating warranted, so turned back and drove until we found a good access about 100m from GZ. Rather overgrown at GZ but SW tracked down the cache. Some inquisitive cows were behind an electric fence near GZ. TFTC.

Driving down to the event in Oamaru with Injeanious, we drove slowly and took some of the back roads to pick up some caches on our way. We signed the log as JeJe to save time and space. TFTC!
JD and I set off early to Oamaru for the Geofest and grabbed a number of caches on the way. Another fun geocaching road trip! We signed the log as Jeje.
Luckily no 4WD required here. We were impressed by the cache, I've never seen one quite so grown over! The hide was certainly taking over and we had a giggle as we tried to get it out. We drained out the water and replaced it. Tftc.

Nice easy find at the end of the day with team_macdonald. Log is very wet and could do with some love from the Co tftc
School holiday fun. Tried to find this once before with no luck but found it this time with no troubles

Quick find on the way to Ashburton from a weekend at Rangitata with the nephews. Found with Conbat. TFTC!
Was heading south with Popmac for a family gathering and this was a cache we decided to get on the way down. This cache filled in a gap in my "Month Placed" grid, so it was on my list to find. Cache was found after a short search. Thanks for the cache.
Think we must have strayed down the private road to this one...looked public .. oops. Easy find with that. Cache fitted very well but faring not to well with water in the cache.
TFTC Slightly off the beaten track. Everything is wet and log book quite damp. No trackable.
Ģot it after crashing through long grass and phone squarking it was going flat. Good cache
Really enjoyed finding this cache! Was a bit of a trek but so worth it! However needs maintenance as snap lock container is half full of water, luckily log is in a bag. Slightly damp but still does the job also swappable's and pencil gone wet and rusty. Recommend BYOP. TFTC
A bit of a scramble. I was worried the cache might have been in one of the several trees that had fallen over, but I was able to find it no worries. Not sure how long ago they fell... TFTC (1995)
What a hike not so bad if I went on my own but with a 3 year old boy not the best of ideas. Great cache though. Log book was dry but container was full of water. Tftc

Spending Christmas this year with my family, so we took Christmas eve off to be down in Dunedin in time to celebrate.
Needed some caches along the way of course though - and so found a few - not just for the streak, but needed not many more to be able to finish the stage of the licence series of caches that I was up to!!
A quick find - though it had to be! Wasn't much parking space, so hoped that the local farmer wouldn't be needing his road!!!
Consec caching day # 780

Trying to complete the whole calender matrix, let's see how far I can go.
This one was a quick find once over the "hump". Nice little spot here, except forthe "dirty" road, my car now needs to be washed again.
#20 for the streak.
#750.

this was a lot easier than I had expected no need to use the river track , thanks
Found in great time, it was the walk to the gz that took the longest, as just walking along here it is quite soft let-a-lone in a 4x4. Nice hide in a trcky spot to get too. We stopped to admire the tiny little fishies on the way back.
Not really a challenge and there was no sign on the road to make you think it might be private. So a quick grab. TFTC

Quickly found on a hot afternoon's caching south east of Ashburton. TFTC.

Found on Waitangi Day on the way to Kiwi Nomad's picnic. Now almost a drive by. TFTC
Used 4 wheel drive to get with in 15m and found it was 10m from road, can choose your adventure level
We went for the road, the grass was chest high, hard to get over the fence when the grass is so high. The river was low so going up the creek would have been OK. TFTC.
Can finally tick this one off...and yes we took the dodgy route too, but even that wasn't simple with two littles in tow. Grass is very long. TFTC SL
Quiet day day out here, watch footing as grass is so long, good thing it's not wet today!
Fun.
GPS took us to obvious hiding place that fitted hint but not there. Did find it in the long grass and returned it as per hint.
Never seen a part of the Hinds with water in it before.

TFTC. I parked and took a brief stroll along the river side and located the cache. However it was not in a location that fitted the clue.
Checked out "harder" a few days ago. Had wrong vehichle. Then, got to 90m with just very cold looking water in the way. Leave for summer.
We climbed the fence as well. Chest deep grass. Glad the GPS was accurate, it was quite a struggle to walk. Good find though. Thanks.
We also parked at the side of the road and climbed the fence for an easy find. TFTC
I think it was probably a nice hide. Coords led me to an obvious big tree that had a few trunks that seemed most appropriate for hiding the cache. It was not there. I suspect it might have been removed. Please check. Thanks.
Did something realy sneeky!!!!.Drove along the Shingle Road.Climbed a fence and walked over to it,and found quickly.TFTC
after 2 emails saying unable to find thought that i better go check it.. Still where it was placed
Reckon i found the hiding spot for this cache..... but not there ?? will keep watch.
PB was more on track for this one, even though Annie had the GPS in her hand. He almost always just knows where they'll be!! Quickly signed, leap back in the cachemobile and on our way again. We really do need to get home today and it's already lunchtime!! TNLN TFTC
Found on the ground with ernienz - replaced in what we thought was the right hidey place.
A great drive through yet more undiscovered countryside with a wee twist at the end.
Thanks

thought it was a good day to go check some caches.. all new fun things put in container
A quick find of the cache, only had to follow Yeetrees pathway across the fence. TFTC
Found with YuGeo4, thank goodness we rented a 4X4 at the time, best move ever and it proved to be the correct move, found cache exactly where it should be and no major issues, TFTC TNLNSL (1220)
A quick drive up the road and a leap to the cache. The river was flowing pretty good today so it would have been an interesting trip up that! TNLN Thanks.
Managed to get the Subaru to within about 15m of the cache
Fluffed about a bit with the find though, d'oh!
