This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 30 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

Did not find, did not appear to be the same place pictured, and the clue did not fit the area. Long descent for no cache. This is the third DNF so it would be great if someone can check this out because something is wrong. Thanks though.
Walked up n down the trail in both directions from the location and could not see fence that is supposed to be an GZ in the pics??
There was no 2L container but one of the creepiest things I've seen on a geocache hunt if it wasn't the geocache we found then.... yeesh
This one has been on my radar for a couple of years and my 9 year-old daughter was keen for a bush walk. TFTC
Had specifically detoured for this one due to it being over 10 years old. Glad I did quite an enjoyable cache. Nice bit of scenery around the place as well. Tftc tnln
Found at 13:16 whilst visiting the Blue Mountains for the weekend. Quick find as we approached GZ was easily spotted. T4TC Team SWAG!
While helping to navigate the start of the Six Foot Track trail, my GPS was on and I noticed a cache nearby and on our route. We hadn't been geocaching much recently, but I was still keen to find something that wasn't out of the way! Just at geozone we met two bushwalking muggles, had a quick chat and then stayed around the area as they moved on. After a few minutes of searching around we made the find. Had a great 45km walk to the Jenolan caves over the rest of the day and the next day. Thanks Team SWAG.
With the mercury predicted to hit 44 at home, I thought this would be a good day to head as far up into the mountains as possible to see if I could find some less aggressive temps, and maybe a few geocaches as well. Katoomba fit the bill, and while it was still in the mid-upper 30s, it was quite breezy and there wasn't a drastic amount of elevation changes to tire me out today. All in all a great day with spectacular views, excellent caches, and no DNFs.
-----End of cut & paste section-----
Second find today. Spotted GZ from just up the path--the camo gave it away, but it should be safe from muggles. TFTC!

Stumbled across this path when we were up getting another cache so George and I thought we'd check it out. A lovely evening walk with beautiful bird calls and lovely wildlife. No fence at gz anymore. Tftc
Decided to come up to the mountains today in the hope that the kids might get to see some snow. There was still quite a bit around and the kids loved it. We were doing a loop walk in the area when I thought this would be a good spot for a geocache. I pulled out the phone and sure enough, this cache was 12 m away. We backtracked a little bit and soon had the CIH. TFTC!
I had a fun trip through Rennies tunnel this morning, and since it finished so early I had some time to spare to find some more caches around this area. I had parked up at the start of the 6 foot track and made my way around by side tracks after finding the other two nearby caches.
It was a nice walk, but the clouds started to release their load on the way back. Though that didn't stop me from finding more caches.
Thanks for the cache.

Found it, is there meant to be a wire fence near the gz? There is no wire fence anywhere near the gz...
Nice walk found quickly, nice area. Probably went long way parking near explorers tree and walking down. Was a defined track I followed to cache though. Tftc
#567 (2 of 4 today) (Streak day 121)
This cache was my main target for today, filling up a gap in my Hidden Months.
Ironically just finding my way to GZ was my biggest problem.
First up I drove to the parking waypoint hoping to find a trailhead. What I actually found was a series of houses. Not really wanting to traipse through peoples' backyards, I decided I needed a different approach.
Read the logs and noted Wayward Woman's approach thought I'd give that a try. Got as far as the big grassy area but couldn't spot a path forward from there. Went back to the Explorer's Tree looking for a third approach.
The Six Foot Track was going mostly the right direction. Walked down it to the lookout, and while there espied a bonnie little walking track. Might as well try that.
Good track with a few bridges and noted I was now only 150 metres from GZ. Maybe this will actually work. Next time I checked, the cache was only 18 metres away . Behind me.
Now to find it.
Backtracked and after a minute or two spotted something suspicious and had CIH.
Now for the walk back...
Went to a few KKCs quite a while ago. Was at the second or third one back in the 1980's.

Found by Ewilund for our last cache of the day! Only 10 more to go before little 5-year-old Morgane reaches her 1000 caches (hopefully in Australia).
Thanks for the cache and greetings from France!

Thanks from France.
After a long day walking down in the Kedumba trails I thought it would be nice to find this cache for my 750th cache. I just didn't realise how tired whitmushroom would be. I kept on saying just imagine you were walking up to the Point of no Regard and this was a much easier version of it. TFTC
On the hoof all day with bisygisy for Kedumba and the multi Nontrivial #2, after an almost crawl for the final log sign for the multi and with vision of socks off and a cold beer rejuvenator, bisygisy had a milestone number to be scratched. Oh! Bugga! A short tour of the side streets of west Katoomba and a likely track (and a near 2km footweary return) and as the day lengthened it was on the hoof again. 'Tis not that the 'mushroom cursed, complained, whinged ... but ... hmmm. In the end it proved an easier find than the effort required after a long day. TFTC.
I got sent out (by Mrs ASO) into the wet and windy weather on a solo mission to find cache #12 for our 31 days of caching streak. I found the area intriguing, in particular the apparent rock cutting near my entry point (Approx 250M before explorers tree when heading westbound) was that once the old route west?, seemed possible, and if true is amazing how quickly nature can reclaim itself.
Thanks for the great Cache Team Swag!

We have attended many of the KCC events over the years, but not for quite a while now. We probably weren't there in 2006 as we would have had a one year old in tow.
I was with the geodog today. We had just visited the TB Guesthouse near the highway and the GPSr insisted that there was a track down to here so we gave it a go. I was a bit concerned that there might be a National Park near here but the signs we saw said dogs were ok if kept on a leash so we kept going.
But what I will remember about this cache was that the rain started and didn't stop all the way down. I carefully avoided the puddles on the way there but it soon became apparent that this was going to be a lost cause and the track was fast becoming a creek. I had a good gortex jacket but my jeans became totally soaked and weighed about 40 times heavier by the time I got to GZ. Thankfully the cache was easy to locate and I tried to shelter it as much as possible during signing. On the way up it was a good cardio session with all the extra weight. The woof had a great time and we were both relieved to get back to the car and back home to a warm shower. Well for me anyway.

#1336 and Day 68- My first of six today out caching alone. This is one I've had on my 'to do' list for a long time, but never got around to it, so today it was. I parked near the explorer's tree and follow the paved (yes, paved) track down, before it became a wide grassy expense and then a well marked track further on. I was enjoying the sunshine so much that I'd passed the spot and had to double back. A quick find very close to the track. Thanks.
I did the Devils Hole / Nellies Glen loop today, and while walking back to Cliff Drive, recognised a spot where I had found a cache once before, so figured I would sign the log again. Cache was all in order.
#959 & the 59th day of my ongoing streak
I wasn't actually after this cache today, I was headed for the nearby view cache & missed the turn. By the time I realised my mistake, I also realised that I was close to GZ for this one & decided to look for it too .
Cache was an easy find, thanks .

Wanted to grab this one on my last visit, but wasn't sure of the best way to access it without having any of the additional waypoints with me. Today...with light fading, I quickly followed the trail to GZ amidst the sloshy ground and slippery track, and was soon at GZ signing the log. This is one of those spots you'd be hard pressed finding without having a cache to follow. A well hidden spot.
Gratias Team SWAG.

Have been to many Summer Schools at the Katoomba Christian Convention but did this cache after finishing work early one Wednesday afternoon. Had no idea this track was here so thanks Team SWAG for placing the cache and bringing me here.
After finding two caches at Blacheath this was the icing on the cake.
Now bashing through the scrub, just off the path.

I took a chance on the weather to duck out for a quick find with the kiddies.
The log was slightly damp, but otherwise cache seemed in good condition.
Thanks for the hide, Team SWAG!

Lovely walk to this one today. Beautiful weather. Had bub in the backpack. TFTC...eatmorchikin & Stigglepot, Brisbane
I left the car just behind the Explorer's Tree for this. The path I followed led me into a grassy clearing. At first I wondered whether I was heading in the right direction, because the track is a little over grown in the clearing and it's hard to see where it's supposed to enter the trees. Then I got to S 33 42.412, E 150 17.498, across the other side of the grass clearing and the track became obvious. At GZ it was an immediate find. Thanks.
Loved the walk, wnt with other expoms! Think we saw other geocachers on the way but left it to late to subtly introduce ourselves! Next time. Took geocoin which they may have left. TFTC.
Certainly left this geocache for too long to find. It's a great walk in and along the track to this location. The location is beautiful, even if it doesn't quiet have the vista that some of the other geocaches nearby have. I initially was searching in the wrong area, but a prompt from a previous finder sorted me out. Dropped in a geocoin and headed further along the path to find the next cache in the area. Thank you.
TFTC! Great location. Started raining and getting dark just after finding it so ran back to the car!
I stopped to take a photo of a rogue shopping trolley and noticed that there was a cache **only** 400 metres away.
So I followed the arrow. Big mistake. The way I went in It felt like a terrain 4.9. I didn't actually need a periscope wading through the bracken, but it sure would have helped. It was over my head and so thick I was walking on it not the ground. I gave up when I was about 75m away and headed up the hill to escape the bracken in the valley. That's when I stumbled on the path. So I followed it down & sure enough, it led me straight to the cache. Grrr. 1 hour to get there. 10 minutes to get out. And to rub salt into the wound, the start of the track was only about 50m from where my car was parked.

A great early morning jog with the kids. Sun is shining, birds are singing, water is flowing.
Intended to find the nearby cache first but missed the turnoff and ended up grabbing this one first. Easy find, nice walk in, got it before it rained too much. TNLN. Thanks.
Sry for the late log! Back home in Germany we thought a lot about the bad weather in the blue mountains! There was a lot of fog but we were able to found the cache!

Both log books are full - had to squeeze an entry into the last free space on the back cover.
I took the wrong choice of 2 trails & had to backtrack through a bit of brush before finding the right trail.
An easy find & a well stocked cache in a lovely area.
I will have to come back here one day to explore further

Reached GZ on the second try, having started earlier in the afternoon this time. Cache coordinates are accurate but don't expect a spectacular lookout at this point, such as you will find earlier on the trail. Nondescript hiding place was noticed by the wife: 'two rocks looking out of place' . . . There might have been a large gum tree once, but only the roots are left! Nice walk and a great outlook earlier on. Just remember to turn off the '6 Foot Track' at the correct place.
Tried to reach this cache too late in the day, and darkness set in while we were still about 300 metres away, according to our Oregon 300, so returned to try again another day. Took the '6 Foot Track' route and must warn that it's a longer trek to the cache than it looks. Perhaps not for younger children. It's all downhill, so you know what that means for the return trip! Finding the first turn-off and then the 'secret' second turn-off are keys to the right final track and final look-out. Breath-taking first lookout after the first turn-off from the '6 Foot Track' made this effort worthwhile.
As not from this area took a while to find the access road, followed the 6 foot track down, then eventually found the track down to the cache, only because of a sign about a study of the local fauna! Area could be better signposted. Anyway nice walk in. Found cache easily, thanks
Another great day for a walk, this is a lovely part of the world, on the way you pass a small pond full of frogs. I stayed there for a while and counted 4 different frog calls.
Got to Gz easy enough, found the cache quickly. Did the log thing, there is a log for the 14th that does not appear on the GC page. Took nothing, left Yowie and 2x Olympic pins.
Thank you for bringing me here, I loved it.

The log for the 14th would be me then! Loggged late due to travelling around Found cache with no difficulty after getting confused by layout of surburban roads nearby. Pleasant walk. TFTC.
We parked at the end of Stuarts Road, and entered a track from S33 42.827 E150 17.554. If you take the left turn at (S33 42.662 E150 17.539) you will end up at a lookout at S33 42.680 E150 17.461. You need to take the right hand turn.
My bro found the cache before I could put my backpack down. Collected a geocoin and TB. Thanks for the hide. Enjoyed the walk out here.

Walked in along the track from the nearby "Guesthouse" and completed the circuit out to Narrow Neck Rd, ending up on private property as the track became quite indistinct. PU TB Lightningbug and there were 2 other bugs in the cache which are not listed on the cache page
Ornith and I enjoyed the walk to this one! It was a bit damp out, but the views are so neat!

Not an actual DNF as we never got to GZ. We attempted to approach this one from the highway, but without the proper info we got to within 200m, and retreated to try an approach from the private roads, no luck there so we gave up.

Walking around the edge from our accommodation when noted this cache pop up on the GPS walked right over the top of it so with a very quick search was able to log it. TNLN
Intend to go and check out a couple of these MKC caches during our KYCK youth camp up there.. =D

Excellent walk on the cliff head. Didn't notice any fence? Took a strap and left a plastic Simba.
After a leisurely walk along the track, across a few little bridges up a few stairs GZ was reached. With the cache discovered in its hide after a bit of a search, the duties were done. Then we headed back to the car. Didn't venture down to the lookout as the fog was too thick for any views so will have to return on a clear day.
