Logs
After recently signing the logs for Q50p and Q1000 Challenge Caches, I realised how far I had to go until I could claim either of these challenges so this afternoon, after having a restful morning, I decided to come for a wander to collect some caches in the area, including a couple of these oldies. It was a quiet afternoon at this section of the park, joined only by a few birds.Cache was found and signed. Now off to the next one. Thanks, ruzzelz, for the longevity of your caching, and for keeping this one going for our enjoyment.
TFTC. Nice easy find. I imagine lots of mozzies come nightfall. Best to do when sunny
Headed up to Brisbane for a performance today while on Gold Coast holiday with alphag_25. Grabbing some old caches and to fill grids while we are up this way. TFTC

Thanks for the walk, little dude! Didn't know this part of Brisbane existed.
Probably should warn people about the potential for spiders in the hiding spot. Otherwise, lots of fun!

Cache replaced. Please ensure the cache is returned to the correct spot and covered with suitable materials and loose rocks to ensure the cache integrity is maintained.
Wasn't able to find it in the rocks. Maybe I was looking in the wrong spots. If someone does find it, would they be able to leave a hint

On completion of the CITO this morning, I joined forces with patrol14, Imbunda, hatzofff, grannysmith1947 & RoddyC to pick up a few local traditional and long solved puzzle caches. This area was a real eye-opener that showed just how high the water level had been during the recent flooding.
A quick find for our group once at GZ.

This morning, it was a run out to the airport to drop family off, and so I took the occasion on my return back home to make a stop in Wavell Heights at Shaw Park. A quick walk was had along the creek and Keith Boden Wetlands whilst avoiding a few newly formed puddles.
In the afternoon, jesswrigley and I took a drive to Bulimba where we had lunch and a walk around a few of the streets and paths adjacent to the river.
I continued my walk in this area, and soon deviated from the main path along a track. With all the recent rain in the last few days, this area was quite boggy and slippery in the mud. I soon arrived at GZ, and after consulting a few past logs, I saw a previous spoiler photo that made this cache a quick find. The cache container was in good shape, but unfortunately, the logbook was saturated. Unfortunately I didn't have any supplies with me to assist today, but if I'm ever back in the area (as I wouldn't mind bringing jesswrigley along here), then I'll try to assist. Nice wetlands nearby also! Thanks ruzzelz for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was also nice to find this oldie 03/2006 hidden cache, which is one of Queensland's 500 oldest yet active geocaches.
