Logs
It seems I've found this long archived cache while looking for a newer one, I signed both logs so I'm claiming both finds. TFTC
Found easily after reading the hint although the container has gone missing. I assume it was a magnetic key thingy as the magnet was still there. I singed it in lieu of signing the log. Claiming it as a log. It will need to be replaced.
Even with the help of ex military we had no luck with this one. Looking back at the logs it seems a long time between drinks so a check may be in order. Mind you in a solid day of Caching you have to miss a few so I expect its still there safe and sound
~ Ruffasgutts4x4 Hunter Discovery Tour ~
Caching Party comprised Geomatica, Deputy Dog, Ruffasgutts 4x4, Ruffasgutts 4x4 Jnr and The Wandering Wilkos.
Nope, not this time. Even with the assistance of a Phone-A-Friend we were not able to locate this one.
Perhaps it be prudent for the cache owner to investigate the status of this cache.

Muggles at GZ when we arrived, kids swarming Maltilda too, rather than sit them out it was easier to explain geocaching to them, so as I carried out this process I found that they were tourists as well from where else but sunny Blacktown! My humble home as well.
We searched this place till we were blue in the face but no cache!!!
I phoned a friend but still no good, it's likely still there but too tricky for us...........speed was the essence for us so we left with our tails between our legs.
Might be worth a check just the same we'd love to know if it was there all along.

LOL - amusing name for a tank Didn't take too long to find, given the number of potential hiding places. Cheers Gav [4134]
A whole family of muggles were posing for photos on top of the tank! I thought better of it and beat a hasty retreat...
took a while as there was a fair share of muggles around but once they left it was quickly in hand. tftc
We never have much luck with these sort of caches but this time we got lucky. Passing muggles were being breathalised this Sunday morning again.

Humorous clue and apt to find cache.Had never seen one of these babies up close- smaller than I imagined.

I knew this site would have a cache! I have been driving past here for about 30 years and was dreading looking for a cache on this object but it turned out to be OK, Shell and I spotted the container after only about 5 minutes of looking.
Thanks Mix for the cache, and for reuniting me with a childhood play site.

Really enjoyed the hints in the 'long description' and Marco the king of micros quickly discovered the cache. The log book is falling apart due to it being post-it notes that have now all been pulled apart so really needs to be replaced. TNLNSL TFTC
Found with JAB's and Code1 on our Easter caching weekend as the Tablelands Cachers.
This was one of those caches that could have you looking for along time or lucky for us was found and logged quickly.

Fairly quick find my Mrs MADSTARS..... while lil' Miss MADSTARS and Daddy MADSTARS played in the park. Tonnes of people around in this park on a Saturday morning. Heaps of kids riding their bikes along the bike trails. However retrieved the cache without being spotted. Thanks for bringing us to this park - our little girl loved it and wanted to stick around and gate crash the toddlers birthday party in full swing close by. TNLNSL
Loved Matilda and watching the cops do some random breathe testing we were going the other way! TNLN TFTC and greetings from the UK
Needs updating as the log is full. The ivisible force field has rusted. Signed and replaced.
With the driver reviver open and a park for the kids and a cache for Dad, how could we not stop. An interesting piece of history.
Thanks
Thanks
TFTC. Lots of muggle kids but managed to go undetected. Good little spot

Easy find after dodging some muggle kids. Last find for the day trip to Singleton. TFTC.
When we arrived at GZ we groaned, so many possibilities. Still geo-hubby found it within minutes. First find on this type of feature for us.
Working in Singo for the day, just got the Palm M505 fired up with the pocket query, makes life a lot easier. The sun happened to be shining in the perfect direction, clever description, TFTC!
Nice spot to stop and stetch the legs.
Wasn't sure if we would find this but if you look in the right spot the cache is yours.
Thanks Mix

This one took some time due to a high level of muggle activity.
Finally found an opportunity and we were able to extract the cache and sign the log.

I too have had great trouble in the past with caches secreted upon retired machinery, however in this instance Matilda was not too taxing. Thanks.
1540 After 'Tractor Pull' I was prepared for anything, and luckily there were not too many spiders around, just muggles riding their bikes around. So got a couple of photos while waiting for them to go home.
On my way to a friend's in Singleton and some training on an adventure tower.
TFTC Mix
PS Had a couple of TB's, but there was no way these chicks were going to fit in here, so not logged.

After studying the comments logged and the description, all became clear. This is a cache that I don't mind saying we tried to find on three separate occasions.Yaaaaay.....cache in hand after not even a minute. Thanks Mix for the cache.

Mrs Riptide guessed before we even got there what sort of place we would be looking in, and once there she spotted the cache before I even got a look in. Could be because she's shorter than me.
Thanks for the hunt and history lesson. We had to use stealth here another person around. PF the mechanic liked this one and found the cache. Needs new log book the old one is running just about out of space.
A trip with 2 sic kids and easy find for them. Not sure if there was another cacher or a muggle hanging round but was careful all the same.
Took a bead and left a button.
BTW - The log book is Full.

Last week we went to Tamworth. I obviously didnt load in ALL the caches along the way, because as we had lunch ON GZ, i commented that it would make a great cache hide.
Whilst away, checking and logging caches we completed, i added the rest of the Singleton caches to my GPS, and wouldnt you know !!
Lunch on the way home, sitting on Matilda, it was a quick find. Log sheet nearly full though !

You know ebay is a wonderful thing
Always note item location, god I am a dingaling
It looks like I am in for a big trip by car
Not all bad, I’ll drop the kids at Nana and Grandpa
Piled into the geo cruiser and set out on our way
Morrisett then Singleton was the order of the day
A nice easy run, I arrived at this GZ
A magnetic cache on this thing will do in my head
But no, two minutes and no more
I was on my way with my foot to the floor
Found on the way home to red ochre country after a wedding in Gloucester. Nice clues. Thanks MIX
P.S. Log is beginning to look a bit sad and nearly full.

Nobody around today except the childcare, but they weren't watching. Nice easy find at 1110hrs as I passed by on the way for a coffee. Great hiding spot and interesting information. I'd been passed countless times and never stopped here.

Thought that the close muggles might make things hard for us but Mira is like a caching radar, plucking it from where I'd never think of looking.
found with Cherryred and Mira, out 8th cache for the day. had a few mini muggles clibing all over the structure.. so we joined in and no one noticed our little find!! TFTC
Sarge jumped out from the cabin and proceeded to the rear of the machine, the enemy muggles were everywhere but he managed to avoid them just long enough to find the device and disable it......on to the next mission.....

Ahh, just what I needed, a Matilda service station for a refuel of both bike and me. Of course, wrong again. Interesting piece of memorabilia. I wonder if it could be made operational again. If so, it is probably worth a heap of money as some of these are so collectable. The cache was found very easily, following the clues rather than the GPS. Find number 45 for the trip, found at 2.45pm.

As the last log said the co-ords were spot on the pointing thing pointed straight to it. TKS
Why isn't it like this every time? Walked up to GZ, got to a spot where the etrex read 0.00m to go. That's rare enough alone. Put the weapon down in that exact spot, and found a well hidden cache IMMEDIATELY underneath the cache sniffer. Couldn't believe how accurate it was.
Thanks for another cache. Your caches were well crafted, and hides were very good. Nice work mate.

Matilda was waiting patiently for me to go a caching with her. A nice easy find after reading the cache notes and using a bit of imagination
It's still there Mix, checked it for you today when I saw the note. See log note from September 3rd, it has been moved to a different location from the place where I first found it. Clue still applies correctly though.
Mis-typed one digit and ended up at a local high school. Thankfully it was Sunday and deserted - I was chased off by the groundskeeper after standing in the middle of the oval looking like an idiot.
Fixed my error and found the old girl. After a intimate inspection I spied what I was after. Great fun (mostly) TFTC and the chance to explore

Matilda's in good nic considering her age! Had lots of fun climbing all over her after I had logged the find.
Cheers.

Got swooped by a magpie here many years ago. Luckily they left me alone today. The nearby police were too busy searching someone's car to bother with us. A quick poke around soon had the cache in hand. SL
Log still dry. You have to pick your time on the Friday before a long weekend to get this one. Able to get it while there was no-one stopping, reviving or surviving (if you know what I mean). Tanks for this one Mix.
Final cache of the day.
There was quite a few muggles around so we were lucky enough to find the cache quickly and return it without looking too strange.
The log is now nice and dry BTW
Thanks for the cache Mix!

Went to check on this one today, has moved from last place we saw it, but still there, and fits the clue. Is still damp, plastic bag around it may be an idea.
Cache #6 @ 3pm
'Hmmmm' i thought as i saw the likely target wondering if this was going to be as bad as those bloody micro's hidden on the old guns. after stuffing up my PDA upload this morning i was stuck with no descriptions for any of the days planned caches but not to worry as with no muggles around and being a decent sized micro we were signing the log in no time.

Last stop for the day
I love the caches that survive right under the nose of muggles, had to wait a while for some kids to get down before serching.
Thanks Mix

Search Search - no luck for me. (SAD) but will come back if I am luck... Thank you MIX...
2nd find for the day, and I had a bit of fun with this one.
Having polished off lunch, the little Rats were busy in the playground, leaving Stormin'Norman and I to track down this micro. Looking in a few of the obvious places based on the general wording of the cache notes, I asked Norm for the page so I could check it again to make sure Mix wasn't being nasty and obscure in any way (not that you ever would be Mix).
He'd left it in the car, so went back to grab it while I continued searching. 10 seconds after he left, I found it tucked away. An evil glint appeared in my eye, and I quickly added my SteelRat sticker and a date to the log, sealed it all back up and re-hid it quickly.
After a thanks for the cahce page, I 'helped' Norm scour the site with all sorts of 'useful' suggestions on where to look. When he finally found the little bugger, he held it up and said smugly that he'd be willing to call it a draw. I wished afterwards that I had the video handy when he opened it up to find my entry of 10 minutes earlier, his expression was priceless, his language colourful.
Great caching memories are made of moments like these.
Thanks Mix.

We forgot to put the date of our find on this one so we will have to revisit it!
Very hard to find, be careful with kiddies though as when we were there there was a large amount of broken glass. It may also be good to be cautious of needles when crawling on the ground as this is a rather "bad" part of town.
Happy hunting!!!

Found it. Gave the kids the GPS about 200m from the spot, but it failed on the day, so we used the map. Read the clue out to 6 little helpers. One found it 30 secs later. The note was soggy from the recent rain. Dried it out as best as we could.
(Mix, some glad-wrap for the note may be needed when you next call in). Good fun for all.

Found it, but not without some sweat loss first. (Ingenious and devious hiding place !!)
Took some friends with us and they are now hooked too.
While we were standing there congratulating ourselves who else but Mix, Mrs Mix and minimix arrive to check on the cache on their way through. Great to meet you and look forward to many more caches in this area.

First solo find. Was lucky because the sunlight shone just the right way for me. Lots of kids around made it tricky returning this one. TFTH!
finally found it. this is indeed a tricky hide and very exposed to all sorts of muggle traffic.
made my life even more interesting by choosing the beginning of a long weekend to make this attempt.
