Well November has come around once again before it gets too hot, that means off on a camping trip chasing Yellow Faces . Lucky enough to find several but have encountered a couple Blue Faces .Either way the experience has been rewarding due to the Geocache locations and the early summer days in the high teens & low to mid 20s.Many thanks go out to all the COs and the maintenance crews around the remote and country regions that make travelling more enjoyable.TFTC
The black Hawke was down but not out. Cache is fine, we replaced the paper log for a book, as it was full. Nice little walk on a beautiful day.The Frog certainly gets around. Thanks for helping us with our adventures
This one isnt that great. People are exchanging rubbish so kids a bit disappointed
Goldy is returning to Yorke Peninsula with a friend, who has recently signed up for geocaching under the name "goldyscacheelf".We are exploring the eastern side of Yorkes before heading to Marion Bay for the night.I'm showing him the ropes on caching, as he is still new to the game.We are grabbing more large caches hidden by LB in the TOY series, as well as a jasmer spot I need. We drove as far as we could and walked the rest of the way. Once at GZ, a quick find was made. A nice day for a walk and the cache and contents are in good order. That's another month filled on my jasmer. Thanks Freddo for this traditional cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3859 on the 3rd of December 2023.CITO's are a brilliant way to help keep our community area's clean. The Earth is our playing field and we need to protect it! Always be sure to cache the "leave no trace" way!**South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!****Only 88 days to go!**
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
We are enjoying the small towns, beaches, cliffs, history and ruins we encounter along the way in beautiful weather. Thanks for the cache

We had a beautiful few hours caching around Sheoak Flat, Port Julia and Black Point. We also cooked a sausage sizzle for lunch beside the beach. An interesting cache title
Many thanks for the hide Freddo

Found on my one week's lovely and interesting YP caching odyssey. Thanks Freddo.
No log book!
A short stop here today, managed to find the cache nicely hidden but unable to sign the log book as it doesn’t exist.
With 2.5 days free and nothing to do, what better than to head to the yorke peninsula for a few days. I made a plan of trying to clean up majority of the caches on the peninsula going from cache to cache. Managed to come away with only a few left and 247 finds for the few day trip.
Thanks for the cache

Remember coming here as a kid . I'd like to say that nothing's changed, but now we don't even know how to get to the beach .
TNLNSL.
Do shacks actually exist any more [?].
Thanks for another one Freddo the Frog.

My first find! Found this with chrissygeo1 - who introduced me to this app. the container was broken and water had gotten in to it. Chrissy messaged the owner to advise.

Great walk to the cache, but had to walk off track and definitely some bushbashing involved ... Cache has cracked lid so is very waterlogged inside and all paper is unusable but still a great find.
Heading to Port Vincent for BBQ lunch ........ Of course we grabbed a few caches on the way down

Today had us exploring with honeysucker and mattycat starting with the gone fishin series from 550 to 644 before heading off to some other caches in the area, with the sun now set we explored a few more caches by torchlight, very cold out but a brisk walk down the track had us at GZ in no timeat all and the cache was a quick find by torchlight

making our way back to the city, grabbing what we are able to on the way, thanks for the placement, greetings from NZ either signed as KAA or mar1sa.
A long weekend with a massive amount of geocache finds in the Yorke Peninsula! The weekend was filled with a loong day of the fishing line power trail, followed by a subsequent day of the geoart at the peninsula bottom. I managed to squeeze in a night scuba dive, and then it was a slow return home finding a few geocaches on the way. An unexpected enjoyable weekend than what I thought it would be, with great company from locals Munja and skuzzybear, and visiting Kiwis mar1sa and the Seagnoid.
The original plan for today was to continue/complete the geoart at the bottom of Yorkes, but I think everyone had had enough with the monotony of getting in/out of cars with little scenery and ongoing repetition, that we decided to take it slowly back up the peninsula. It was an early-ish start from 8:00 hr, as we wanted to beat the crowds back heading home from the long weekend. Geocaches were collected along the main coastal road (or just off it), with a small detour visiting Black Point to collect those caches and having a FTF. I then said goodbye to the team as I drove skuzzybear back to her car in Kadina, and then collected a few strategic oldie caches on the return back to Adelaide. Unfortunately I was waiting in heavy traffic for a duration of 30 min at the dreaded Port Wakefield turn-off due to the time spent in the morning collecting caches, but otherwise, the return drive back went without incident. The weather was kind to us with an enjoyable morning, and then raining (and cleaning!) my car once I had arrived home.
An interesting area around here. Despite the description's comment that we didn't need to bush bash, we elected to drive as close as possible and "bush bash" our way towards GZ. Although, there wasn't a lot of bush bashing, and just more 4WD walking. The geocache didn't take long to find once at GZ, and the container and logbook appeared to be in good shape. I did glance at the hint and didn't know what it meant at the time, but now I do - another one to add to the [@Freddo](http://coord.info/PR8C14) translation hints blog article? Thanks [@Freddo](http://coord.info/PR8C14) for the placement and ongoing maintenance.

The end of the Kiwis and Aussies trip on the York Peninsula had finally come to an end and rising early we began to make our way back to Adelaide. Like any good caching trip, we slowly cached our way home. Despite the greying weather it was a good drive back home, with traffic not presenting us with too much of a problem. An enjoyable and relaxing way to finish what was a fantastic trip. All logs were signed as KaA (Kiwis and Aussies).

This cache really showed up the quality of our various maps. None of us had the track marked on (if I remember I will asdd the track when I get back home) but Mar1sa had sattelite view up which showed it clearly. Also showed that the track stsart was just too far away, so we bush bashed a short cut instead. Except there was no bashing involved - the bush is sparse enough that we just walked around everything. So why Black Hawk Down? I was expecting some sort of helicopter theme, but... no.
After spending the night in Stansbury after a couple of over-the-top days in the Yorke Peninsula targeting the geoart, Team KAA are heading north - the rush is on! To relieve a cache of its empty logbookness. Thank goodness for the cooler weather! That 42 degrees we had earlier was just too much.
Team KAA (Kiwis and Aussies) are Skuzzybear, the Seagnoid, Munja, Mar1sa, David and Kris.

After the pleasant stroll towards Ground Zero the cache was soon spotted. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Pleasant 280m stroll from the water trailer. We much prefer a proper "shack" with no frills. Thanks
Lovely spot - cache is a bit of a walk off the main road but a nice walking track.
We are coming to the end of our three weeks staying on the Yorke Peninsula, and we will be sad to say goodbye to such a lovely area. We have moved around a bit spending three nights at each of the spots we’ve chosen, and it’s a great way to really get to see so much of what is on offer here. We’ve picked up heaps of caches but, more importantly, we have come to love this region and intend to return here and continue our explorations. Some great bakeries, coffee shops and pubs are also worth coming back for!
A short walk cross country, then we found the walking trail!

On the way to WA, taking a lot of wriggle roads. Doing a lap of the Yorke Peninsula and on the east coast heading South. TFTC and your maintenance of same, Freddo the Frog. TNLN.Nice word play.
Found on a great walk from the BP campground, heading home now into the sunset . Fave for a great location. TFTC
Parked in the wrong spot but it made a pleasant walk during my drive home. Cache is in good condition. Lack of foliage on host helped for an easy spot of container. Friends have bought a block of land nearby and it was interesting to have a look around. Cheers and thanks for the hide
Today we explored Port Vincent and then travelled to Port Julia and Black Point and finished at Pine Point using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. An easy find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Having stayed in Port Wakefield overnight to got a good head start on the traffic heading to Edithburgh for the JLWE, mogni and I set off early. The only thing standing in our way were several unfound caches. What would YOU do? We stopped and grabbed a few (well more than 40) smilies and about 4 DNF's
I'm betting a snap happy cacher would make this a drive by! But we made it another nice walk. Cache spotted easily but it was a bit of a fight to get into it.
Thanks freddo for the cache.
As we drove out of town we saw a car on the other end of the trail and it appeared to be bogging in. Hope it wasn't a cacher trying to make this a drive by! [B)]

Out for a drive with brisal5 on our way to Edithburg for the June Long weekend. We didn't take the direct route but the scenery was much better the way we went. I am venturing into new territory. I will need to come back and really explore.

Bring back the olde days
They were so much more relaxed and friendly
These modern 'shacks' and their owners who turn up for maybe a month or two a year,
have fenced themselves in [:o]
They are not part of the community,
unless it comes to closing down access to beaches and campsites for everyone else
Oh for a good olde earthquake to liquefy the foundations of the gin palaces
And along me walk through the scrub behind the empty suburbia,
I found a place of solitude and a cache

**this is a late log** I have recently made a major upgrade to my GSAK license and found this lovely feature that automatically tells me what caches I have marked found in GSAK but never logged on geocaching.com!! Yay, Clyde, you can have my money anytime! The caches I am logging in this batch were ones I did in 2016. I cache with an assortment of cachers and never alone. In 2016 I cached with Moneydork, Ride the GeoWalrus, Locus Cacher, Liz & Bruce and Team Zouk. My log should match up with one of theirs. I enjoy every cache find I have made and do not for one second take for granted the effort going into each one, its just I'm very bad at logging my finds and I'm trying to improve. To improve I have to reduce the quality of my log and just get it over with -- for now. If I can form a good habit again I will return to my once more meaningful logging. Thanks heaps for hiding caches around South Australia that I could find!
The long weekend presented the perfect opportunity for my wige (Tounga) and I to plan a quick get away.
So, we booked some accommodation in Moonta and decided to cache the upper Yorke Peninsula.
We had a great time, finding 129 geocaches in all.
Thanks for hinding your cache Freddo, we enjoyed it.
I apologise for the generic log.

A nice relaxing walk with family along a track I wouldn't have walked down without this cache
Lovely morning stroll with the dogs to the point, joined by G we went to the boat ramp, then to this cache, 2 hours all round. TFTC!
