I find the need to constantly replace the container at this location a little tiresome - maybe these type of urban areas are not the best locations....
Do any of the watchers want to inherit the cache? If not, I will archive it.

Same problem for us. Searched during the time waiting for the scuplture to start spitting water !!
Logged from my phone using the Geocache Navigator by Trimble. Sorry it took so long to post this DNF but we misplaces our field notes when we returned from our trip down under. We really enjoyed your harbour. TFTH.

I got to watch an unexpected 4pm water whirl but no cache did I find. Hopefully I'll have better luck with the rest of Wellington's caches.
We looked and we looked, we felt everywhere, when there were no muggles around we looked from many angles but could not find this one. Either it was really well disguised or it is missing. Hopefully the former.
We did this one really late at night - 12:50am to be exact. The great thing was, we had very few muggle problems. The unfortunate thing was that despite that, we couldn't find it! We must have searched every corner of GZ, but even with our torches and groping around, we couldn't locate it. Perhaps we were just too sleepy?
First cache find while in Wellington. Watched the display and enjoyed the easy find.
Thanks for the cache. Aficionadoes should check out the Len Lye collection at the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery in New Plymouth
We are on holiday from Scotland. This is what caching is all about - taking you to places you would not otherwise know about. We sat and watched the display, and then found the cache once the muggles had dispersed. Just as I was about to replace the cache we were caught red handed by Pooke. It was great to meet another NZ cacher - and it was new years day according to my watch!!. Thanks.
Found it while it was in the hands of 'Edinburogh Walker' (sorry if I spelt it wrong). Cute little cache. TFTC

Quick find, after waiting for the muggles sitting next GZ to move on. Didn’t get a chance to witness the fountain in action today, will come back later, time permitting.

We were out taking a walk along the waterfront and decided to tackle a few caches while we were at it.
What a great sculpture! We were initially too early for the 1:00PM display, so we continued our walk and returned in time to catch the tail end of the performance.
Thanks for bringing us to this location.

Our first Wellington cache and #3800 for us. I stopped in the evening with a co-worker. It was his first find. Thanks for the cache.
Didn't have the clues and couldn't remember where on the sign it was as due to muggles I couldn't search the sign thouroughly.
Will have to return sometime.
Will have to return sometime.
Found the cache easily enough, then found it was empty. Put a new piece of paper in it, but looking at recent logs not sure how long it will be there for. Had to return for the show as we missed it by 30mins. Very bizarre. The things that amuse North Islanders TFTC
Came to the GZ just after 10pm at the end of the display. The container would have been virtually impossible to find without the detailed hint.

Back online with a new container. The sculpture was running @ 1pm today, surprising given the wind. Made for a different, if one-sided display.
Made a trip down yesterday to find the cache but suspect its been muggled. can the owner verify this ? thanks!
I went to the cache yesterday to change the log, and found that it was missing. I will build a new one....
Down from Akl on a business trip, had lunch on the waterfront and couldnt resist a quick cache.
I have passed this structure a number of times and didnt know there was a cache attached.
Lots of muggles around, but managed to retrieve and replace without being spotted (I Hope) it helped that the water was playing.
Log was full, so I put my entry on a small scrap of paper.

Found 1355 hours. Not much room left in log.
Great cache. Plenty of muggle activity.
The sculpture performance was past at 1300 and due at 1500, but started for us at 1400! Bonus!

What a neat display, and a popular spot when it goes off, managed to find a quite time to do the deed, very cunning TFTC
At all the meetings I was attending everyone would say you have to see this it's amazing. Luckily there was a cache here so was able to find a cache and check out this amazing thing. Waited and waited nothing happened so at the next meeting when someone bought up this place again I asked them what the story is with this thing. Apparently the bloke who designed it is NZ version of Leonard of Quirm.
Found the pieces of the cache and reassembled it. Used waterproof paper for the log. BYO PEN required to make log entries, pencil wont work!
Found the cache sitting on the the concrete underneath the magnet, after inspecting it thought it was rubbish.
It was only after I found the magnet I realised it was the cache, so I had to get it back again and then I wrote on my initials.
The cache I put back where I found it to start with, as it was unreattachable to the magnet.

Went looking early this morning. Found the magnet but no cache. I guess it needs checking on.
Nice spot, came back at lunch time and saw the sculpture going.

Nifty little cache. I went by after dark so I didn't get to see the sculpture in action.
I think the magnet could do with some glue.

Found during a Wellington tour with a group of friends! Did not get to see it in action though... boo, anyways - TFTC!
nosy muggles made it interesting, and almost losing the log :s must becareful how i open them from now on (not over the waters edge!)
One nosy muggle to deflect but our goal was accomplished with the assistance of the clue
Missed the action by 10 minutes so will have to come back another day. Our 3rd for the day. TFTC
Quick find although much delay with passing muggles. I felt a bit stupid showing much interest in the inoperative fountain.

A very cleaver cache found easily. Found on a very chilly afternoon. Thanks for the cache

Windy day and cool on the waterfront. Didn't know the water feature was there but it was not going. With Mcroni and was good to do a few caches with him. TFTC Glengazza
NZ trip cache #49
Just our luck the water feature was out of order, although this meant it was easier to find as not as many people around, we still were looking forward to seeing the display.
maybe next visit.

Cute little cache...the small size meant you could be very surreptitious amongst the multitude of muggles on a Sunday stroll
Tiny cache. Smaller than what is was looking for. Nice! Was here just a day or so ago. TFTC

I replaced the logsheet today, however it looks like the container is coming unglued and I am sure the new sheet will suffer the same fate. I will replace the container in a little while, in the meantime be gentle with it.
3rd find for the afternoon.
Quick find but suddenly rememebered I left my pen in the apartment.
Found easily and opened up to see soggy logsheet. Went to local pub and managed to purloin a pen (Broken but worked) to sign a torn off corner of a business card. Logged visit on that. Some room for others but not too much. May hold up better than the paper.
Nice scuplture, reminds me of the W Wand futher north.
Cheers - TFTC.
Off to a multi now but don't like my chances as it's getting dark.....

[Our fourth cache of the day. We did this one without a GPS; just knew it was there. We got to see the sculpture "perform", which is always a little amusing. Anyway.. nice spot for a cache, hopefully more people get to see the] Water Whirler [this way. Log seems to be vulnerable to getting wet though, might want to do something about that. A better seal, perhaps?
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Did this with a bunch of micros I have been meaning to tick off for some time. Nice and quiet in the early morning on ANZAC Day. Log is not in very good condition and needs attention.
Easy to get at even when lots of muggles in the area
Cache getting a little damp, might need some attention

No trouble locating it -but methinks the water sculpture got at it! The log is saturated and disintegrating, so signed and left folded paper, with space for other cachers to sign in. Needs drying and new log asap tho. TFTC.
Well, I'll call this one a find even though I didn't try to write on the log - it was saturated and wouldn't take pen on pencil without destructing so I didn't like to risk it. Water has got in at some stage unfortunately. Luckily the fountain kicked off a few minutes later despite the wind and rain. Great spot for a cache. Thanks!
Cheers,
G.

Somebody muggled the log, so I didn't get to sign it, but I like that spot. Cheers! TFTC!
From across the ditch for business. Had a terrible time trying to find them so I switched to UTM's & had instant success. It's a shame the feature here wasn't working when I came through. Wellington was lovely for the few days I was there. Great bars & food. AS per log 18/4. Log wet.

Unfortunately, it was too windy and blustery today to observe the water scupture in action. But finding the cache was great fun !
A pleasant night find, so teeny!
I didn't take a pencil coz I got caught in town in the right place with the wrong equipment... (but fine "by text" help this evening, thanks GC!)

No problems with muggles on a wind free day in the capital. Sorry could not sign as I had no pen.
Saw where it was, but then took a few hours (and two other caches in the meantime) to retrive it due to muggles. I think the muggles sense where you want to be, then sit right there for ages on purpose . Signed log - thanks for the cache.
On a walk my first day in Wellington I took a look at this sculpture! Nice place, many thanks! TNLN.
Stopped off on an early morning walk. Great spot.
TNLN - could not sign log as forgot pen.

A quick find after our visit to Te Papa.Later in our weekend late on the Sunday evening a group of us were walking back to the YHA via the waterfront we saw the full performance. It was awesome and could you imagine it set to music
A good spot for a cache. Lots of muggles around as it as was nearly 11.00 Unfortunately fountain not working.
Enjoyed sitting by the water on a beautiful sunny day while finding this one. Quite muggle free but the peformance was over. Will return another day to see it.

A quick one, not far from the hotel. The log sheet is full on the front side.
We were at GZ and wondering about the best way to approach this cache, when we suddenly noticed a couple of people who seemed to be doing the same as us. And they were! So we introduced ourselves and had a quick geocaching chat while we both signed the log.

Found this one after watching the water display. Was impressed, pleased to have got this on my way home from work. Didn't leave my initials and the date because there was only one space left on the sheet and i didn't have a pen.

Investigating caches close to my new home. Walk past this every morning but now I've seen it working! Met Adnshe while we were there. Log nearly full
[89] My first cache on the North Island! The security guard was easy to spot, but he was distracted by a recently broken window. A friend pretended to take my photo which gave me enough cover to retrieve the cache. Unfortunately, my pencil was too blunt to write very fine print on the log, so just abbreviated my name to “Look†in the log. Sorry about that. Thanks!
Picked this one up after a meeting. TFTC - great location! Log is full.
#457. A nice stroll around the waterfront before dinner and a chance to pick up a few Wellington caches. TFTC.
Rounding up the wellington micros!
PS the log sheet was quite damp but still ok to write on.

Came back again today to have another look, and to introduce some friends to the hobby. It must have been a stray magnet, as I was able to find it without any problems today. Well, I did have a slight problem in that I had forgetten to bring along a pen, but a nice muggle let me borrow hers.
Found a magnet presume it is from the cache. No cache there looks like it may have gone? Had a look around the rocks but couldn't find it.
