Unfortunately, this one really seems to be gone. At least Colwin (the real one) still exists [^]

05-Aug-10
This is my last one in Sydney. TFTC

#T372
This was the last one for the day. The daylight had faded but I could still retrieve the cache. There did not appear to be any muggles around except for a departing ambulance & some muggles on a bus seat some distance away. I replaced the cache as I found it & with due care. TFTC

04-Aug-10
It seems that this cache has been removed...

29-Jul-10
found - used the hint to reduce looking obvious to any camera at 5am.
Did this while working as we were just outside the hospital at the time.
thanks

A quick find, the log is full and requires replacing. SL TNLN TFTH Big Grin

11-Jul-10
I am glad I came past here on a Sunday as I reckon parking would be difficult during the week. Found quickly and the log book is very very full. Thanks.

09-Jul-10
A nice easy find, the geowife used to visit this hospital when we used to live nearby a few year back. Log book is very full....TFTH...SL...TNLN

26-Jun-10
We plan to have our baby here, so I decided I should find this cache. However apparently my stealth skills abandoned me and there are some cameras in the area, I was approached by a guard asking what I was looking for. Found it alright though Smile

20-Jun-10
Super quick find. Clever hiding spot. TFTC

20-Jun-10
This one has been on my radar for some time. I have an elderly relative nearby.
He managed to get muddled with all his TV remotes (again!) so I went down to sort them out for him.
Did this lovely little hide as a reward.

My first find with boyfriend Pendlebury. Smile Love it! TFTC. SL

13-Jun-10
Haven't hit this area generally being restricted to Eastern Suburbs. With girlfriend Aspenology. Thought I'd show her what I've been talking about... Smile I think we have a new convert. SL TFTC

Gotcha! Have been meaning to do this cache but kept forgetting. Finally knocked it off the list today during a lunch break. No muggles around, most likely due to the bad weather we've been having. Lets hope that this is the only time I have to be this close to the ER...

18-May-10
This is where my three sons were born. They're all bigger than me now. tftc

23-Apr-10
Very hard to retrieve when road works are next door.

17-Apr-10
Found by Team Red Beast. The cache needs some work as its surroundings are full of rubbish and I was worried about digging around in case I got jabbed by a needle. No cache box just a magnetic keyring and label (falling off) "Colwin's First".

If anyone wants to adopt, cache should be relocated and add new box with swaps.

Red Beast

Found logged and replaced.....exactly as described.

Didn't realise there was still a hospital here. Thanks for the cache.

12-Feb-10
Found by jess and I! Tool us a hike bur pretty obvious spot

01-Feb-10
A great concept for a cache. As a super proud dad, I really relate to this idea and am jealous I didn't come up with it Smile.

An easy find. However, as we approached GZ, there was a person perched on the fence having a smoke just where we wanted to look. So we wandered up and sat at the bus stop until she moved on.

Third for the day.

08-Jan-10
Not too many medical muggles today, opened up, looked in, grabbed, ate chocolate... mmmm... Chocolate.

04-Jan-10
Must have just missed the maintenance men. Still high muggle presence, even watched a police paddy wagon pull up infront of us (thought we were being busted for looking suspicious!). Found easily. TFTC, ENVS Crew Smile

04-Jan-10
I can't say that I didn't find it as the locale was very obvious. I was just another cacher put off by the close presence of muggles, the maintenance guys, working on the gates to the nearby switch room... rats Sad
As Arnie would say .... "I'll be back" Smile

18-Dec-09
My excuse for using the hint is that I didn't want to look too suspicious lurking about Smile TFTC

13-Dec-09
There was a muggle chain smoker sitting right on the fence near the cache, had to wait for him to finish a few ciggies before we could jump right in there and find the cache.

Quick find tonight and parking was not a problem only a few meters away.
I am happy to say that we will not be supporting this nursing unit in that way Big Grin. Got 3 and no more for us.

13-Sep-09
Pretty sure found the right place but couldn't find it. Lots of muggles about

22-Aug-09
Great spot as we took along a friend who was 8 months pregnant so we fitted right in! We liked the various ages of the buildings around that area – from on sandstone to modern buildings. Happy belated birthday Colwin!

26-Jul-09
Great story. Nice place. Thanks for briging us here.

12-Jul-09
Found in 5 seconds flat after the geokid knew where to go - he'd been there before unsuccessfully with the geograndparents. Now he knew what a nano looked like it was no problem. Thanks!

Got a parking spot straight across the road and a quick dash, a quick search and the cache was in hand. Back to the car so it could be logged and returned it to its spot all in under 5 minutes.

22-Feb-09
Sat down to read the clues. Just happened to turn my head around and lo and behold there was the cache! Hidden in a nearby tree is an empty coke bottle. The tree has grown around it so much that the bottle is immovable. One day I reckon it's going to snap. I wonder how long it will take.

07-Feb-09
I suspect Colwin must be about 3 now. Time to get him a GPSr so he can find his own cache, I'd say. TN/LN/SL once we located this one. Ashamed to say we had to use the hint. While signing the log I noticed the nearby sign (see photo). Does anyone else feel the need to smile at the bit I've highlighted, or am I just strange?

Hi Colwin, great spot for a cache, Nicki was born here too, this was now her third find.

07-Dec-08
Happy belated "Third" Birthday Colwin! Cool

Just as we nabbed the cache, the dog next door decided to disturb the peace. We decided to sign the log in the car, then quickly replace it (didn't work, the dog never stopped barking). Thank you for the fun and the cache Colwin (oh, yeah... Thank you to the rest of The Antipodes too. Wink )!

15-Oct-08
I have decided to do one cache on the way home from work each day when I am in the office and this was the first. Plenty of muggle activity at 6pm so I put on my best doctor pose, parked in the medical officers spot and the walked up and down the footpath pretending to talk on the phone. A quick gap in the passing parade and the cache was mine. Many thanks.

Lots of muggles around, so had to pretend very hard that I did belong and had some business around the cache.
Once located not hard to retrieve.

11-Jul-08
Parking wasn't too bad today. We walked around the corner to GZ and soon had the cache, courtesy of Bethany. A quick sign and then away to the next cache.
TNLNSL, thanks for the cache,
best wishes,
Wal, Jono, Bethany and Jeremy.

27-Apr-08
We parked in the car park. I headed out the front but was quickly stopped by the hubby who wanted to walk around the back. After seeing all the back door and being in places we probally shouldn't be, we arrived at GZ... where i was headed towards in the first place. Smile Oh well, we'd never explore or see the things we do, without that attitude. Smile

16-Apr-08
Out for a day of caching with the Geowife. She found this one because she was the one who was reading through more of the cache logs. It was a good hide. The only problem was we forgot the most important tool for caching. A pen or a pencil. So we couldn't sign the log. TFTC

02-Apr-08
SmileThis was #19 of 29 finds for the day. I had a quick look then pulled out the PDA and read the hint. It really helped. HINT HINT! TFTC SL

Out for a day of caching madness with The Rats and Gribbly. I was still parking the car and the boys were back in after making the find...

Had my 3 children at Ryde maternity so it was a bit of a trip down memory lane for us.

04-Jan-08
Found at 0840. Had to make a couple of attempts at this one as there were a few muggles who kept either driving past or walking out of the hopital. Nice hide.

TNLN. TFTC.

01-Dec-07
Our lengthy searching attracted the attention of a hospital security guard who turned out to be really friendly, interested in what we were doing and assured us it was OK to keep looking right where the GPSr was giving us a reading of 0.00 metres.

12-Nov-07
Found on the way home from work, had to park around the corner. Then got it after a short search. TNLNSL, thanks to The Antipodes.

Finally managed to find this. The cache wasn't in the same place as the last time I was here. Anyway, nice and easy find. Had to wait for muggles to walk past before I retrieved it and just before I put it back. Cheers!

16-Sep-07
All was easy including a parking spot nearly right in front.
Thanks. We enjoy a quick easy one for a change.

16-Sep-07
Just sitting on the fence like three crows yacking away, but when backs were turned, the cache was grabbed, signed, and we were off.
Thanks, Robmc.

37th find on a caching trip to Sydney with chewinprickles and Robmc.

The cache is back at its previous position and the logbook is updated. A whole new logbook (now available in light yellow) replaces the old one that fell apart. This one has been stapled together, just like the old one, so please take care handling the book (and also take care that you do not hurt yourself... we do not take any responsibility in case that happens Wink). Finally, we hope that this logbook update was not inconvenient for anybody.

28-Jul-07
We picked this up today for some minor maintainance (change of log book). We will place it back soon; perhaps even today.

16-Jul-07
Searched for this one on a number of occasions, finally found it very easily. Recommend you don't try to decipher the clue as this is a dead giveaway. TFTC

14-Jul-07
Just dropped by to release RhindeMaiden Wellgunde TB after my plans went amiss (and by "dropped off" I mean "tied to with an elastic band.")

Log book is falling apart unfortunately, so I signed on the back of a random piece of paper.

11-Jun-07
Drove straight to this one, hopped out of the car signed the log then out of there fast. TFTCSL

06-Jun-07
Quick easy find - parking is indeed a nightmare.
Please ensure when you replace the lid it goes on the correct way. I spent a good 5 minutes wrestling with the darn thing trying to get it apart. My cursing and swearing would have dont nothing for the patients trying to sleep!

#101 @ 10:00am Nice easy one to start the day. Watch how you slide the lid back on the cache - it was reversed and quite difficult to open. TFTC.

06-May-07
The first cache on a sunny Sunday morning. Descended mobhanded (La Perouse, a jetlagged Lodesman, D_Mawson and his geokids) on this inoffensive little cache, so it did not take long to find. Thanks, Colwin's parents.

06-May-07
Teamed with La Perouse and the Geokids and Lodesman we all lumped to this spot and found the cache. Not exciting for the geokids so we had to go to the next and get to a playground. TFTC

21-Apr-07
I think we can log this on the 21st but in reality was probably in the wee small minutes of the 22nd. Grabbed on the way home from a party in a nearby suburb with an intoxicated co-pilot who initially had the wrong cache!

24-Mar-07
Found it, seems a few other cachers were born here...we weren't though as we hail from the UK and NZ!! TFTC. Nice urban one and the kiosk has a great selection of cold drinks and snacks!!

25-Feb-07
Practically a driveby but we had to use the clue because it was pouring with rain and it was a quick dash out of the car, grab the cache and then back in the car again.

19-Feb-07
This was my first find for the nights 10 km. caching walk. I looked around for a little while without success and yes, I did resort to the clue. I had looked there, but didn't want to poke around as it looked a bit unsafe, and I didn't want to go feeling around there.

I guess by now, Colwin is crawling/walking/running around and giving his parents lots of grief. Belated congratulations to Colwin on coming into this world, and thanks for your first cache.

PS In hindsight, I think I wrote 20/02/2007 in the log, not 19/02/2007.

15-Feb-07
Yep, the cache is there and I found it. HURRAH!
The staple from the log book has come out however the backs of the pages are still all empty.
Thanks for the hide.

09-Feb-07
Checked out the location and everything seems to be there. We'll be back soon to change the logbook.

24-Jan-07
Found by Mary & David at 1640. Hello Colwin, and welcome to the world and to geocaching. David was also born here almost 62 years ago. Our precious granddaughter is in Seattle, Washington. Just imagine the party you would have had if you'd been born there on 4th July! We'd printed out this cache before we left home, so didn't know it had been disabled. Needless to say, we checked the appropriate spot and found it right where it was supposed to be. Reading the previous logs, the main device at GZ has indeed been removed, but you can still see where it was attached, and that's where we found the cache. Our thanks again to The Antipodes.
